Right. I usually do all my stuff myself unless it doesn't make sense not to but if someone else is doing something for me(payed or not) or on my behalf i will go out of my way to make it as simple, easy, and straight forward for them. Took my tuck in for the airbag recall(inside passenger side of dash)-emptied entire interior, emptied both in dash gloveboxes, left note about electric accessories(retains power) so the tech wouldn't take an airbag to the face even though he disconnected the batteries. Go for an inspection, sticky note on my paperwork upon pulling in with exact mileage and plate number(reassurance incase it comes off). I hate when someone asks me to haul something or deliver it to them(friends and family i won't charge, except for fuel if its far) yet they themselves won't/"can't" take the ride with you because "an hour is a long boring drive". So they expect you to unload your vehicle. Drive to wherever, load, strap, drive to their place, text then you arrived, unload yourself, start banging on the door. Only for them to answer groggy because they were sleeping the last 12 hours. Then they expect you to clear a pathway through their house or yard to where whatever is going. And then have the stupidity to mention installing it for them. Yet, you still have to clean up your straps. Maybe go disconnect your trailer, then go reload anything you have taken off your truck. I guess I'm part of the problem. Knowing the PITA it is dealing with other people's shit is the reason i do what i can to make it easiest for the person doing for me. So then they don't realize the hassle they end up causing when they don't do their part for the people doing for them.

Always had great delivery service and great conversation with all the drivers. Most just wanted out of the store and were ok with moving the stuff, even if it wasn’t their job. My boss always took care of the guys who helped move stuff. Even if he paid for it. It pays to work together.
One reason for home deliver is to put it directly into the garage. Easily done with that forklift. But if they dont move the truck or the scaffold then they cant expect anyone to put something in the garage.
I used to run 13 axle 50 wheel freight. Sometimes the people on the receiving end have no clue what it takes to get a big truck in a site. One advantage is that when you need a crane to unload, the receiver is highly motivated to get you unloaded and on your way.
Very professional. But you made 1 mistake. Don't ever leave the Moffitt running with key in it when moving to reposition your trailer. Dangerous and a liability.
In the UK we have register the fork truck as a vehicle if they go onto a road. Even have their own number plates (tag, reg plate). Is it the same for you guys there?
Get an inverter and plug in a Keurig mini, I love it my wrecker, coffee anywhere, any time. No looking around for coffee shops with big enough parking lot.
I quit this bullshit job a couple months ago. Too much headache when it could be so much easier. Home Depot could care less about the drivers and customers, and the same goes for the companies that are on the contract.
Small-time contractors buy from HD or Lowes because of price. Bigger contractors buy from dedicated suppliers for service, A sheetrock supplier can put your 12' sheetrock into a second-floor attic window if needed. You get what you pay for in service.
In west Michigan, the board houses deliver the drywall in the garage and throughout the house where we tell them and have been for the past 40 years. This is what you get from box stores. It is what it is for the cheaper prices you pay at box stores.
In my early yrs of driving I worked for Rivco delivering doors and windows. I got the best workout running up and down the ramp. Boss would send me out with a 28 ft trailer alone. Show up at the customer’s site and learn that they expect their stuff delivered via goat path in back of the house.8 ft wood sliders were the best. Only a few days the ride home wasn’t filled with cussing the sales guy for not being clear on curbside or inside deliveries.
Me and my brother delivered sheetrock for about 12 years that is all we hauled. Upstairs was 1 dollar a sheet added to the delivery charge and downstairs was just deliver charge with 2 pile limit per 100 sheets. And we unloaded by hand on average a 1000 to 1200 sheets a day. Now at 54 I am wore the hell out.
the Lowes stores in Amarillo the new policy is the driver does not place sheet rock in the garage, they will send out helpers and they will place in the garage. If the drivers placed everything either the house or the garage, we would not be able to finish the job in 1 day as required
In Lieu of a coffee maker for your truck, I recommend three or so Contigo travel mugs. Fill them up at home or at your favorite spot and they will keep your coffee hot and ready for you.
@@SaffordDelivery Sir, I have been both the contractor as well as the delivery driver over the course of my days, Both are great memory making adventures. That being said don't let these people make your plans for you! PEACE keep on trucking Bro.

Nice job to have for sure, you may get some people or more like customers wants you to do a little more when you only supposed to drop off merchandise at a certain place or spot. They can get really hateful at you because you're not doing what they want you to do when you have a policy that you only allowed to do so much.
Sometimes you can give them a choice- what you can do, and an unacceptable alternative. When tasked with drilling a 4” hole through 18” of reinforced concrete I planned to wet drill using a forklift to hold the drill (Plan A). When I asked about the computer server below it I was told it can’t be moved and can’t be turned off. I said “No problem, we’ll just destroy it in place.” (Plan B, the unacceptable alternative). They accepted Plan C.
vern--- set the rock 0n a round fence post on the end close to the G and then end load the fork and PUSH IT in and if not completely , in < then use a 4x4 or such and push it tin the rest of the way---- I did this a lot in my Lumber yard work-------------
Someone should make a video, about a guy watching a video of a contractor demanding sheetrock be loaded in garage, and then losing his mind when that doesnt happen
Who put that order together. If they order lumber you put plywood or dimensional lumber below the drywall when you can especially 12 ft dry wall cause it supports it and will help prevent it from breaking in half. Plus it helps to prevent damage to the drywall from the forks.
I have delivered many a load into customers garages without incident, as long as there are no obstructions and plenty of clearance, it aint nothing but a thing.
I ran the Home Depot route for years and all you gotta do bro is slide the of the drywall in with the moffett…once you get a lil more practice you’ll be fine 🤦🏾♂️
I am dumbfound when it's the deliver driver's fault when the sales reps promise stupid delivery requests. Keyword delivery and driver, you an i are at the end of the stupid decisions process...
The moffet I use weighs 7000lbs by itself, and I let the customer know what I can and can’t do with it. As long as I try and they see that I competently did my best they usually say “thanks for trying”

Talk about liabilities. I had a driver once try to accommodate a very good contractor customer while delivering shingles for a new house. He was instructed to back into one of the two 12’ wide garage door openings separated by a 4’ wall, so his men could stand on the truck bed and hand the shingles to the guys on the roof. The driver back right into the 4’ wall. Lucky it did not come completely off the foundation under it.
you should refrain from saying"doing this dirty"of course some people will be not the best..but you can counter this with sign this stating I'm not responsible for damage and I'll put it anywhere to a degree that flies here in Cincinnati ..yes IV done this for many yrs myself but people are pretty good if you let them know what to expect..and people don't want to hear I just do this and I'm done
If he wants it stocked he should have bought from a hardware store or made arraignments . Reminds me of a lady that bought round bales and expected our delivery person to feed it for them into like 20 different pens which took 5 hours and then asked if we were donating the hay after price had been discussed . She had to pay. Then she was blacklisted from the service.
You should do some driving videos, like on the way to the job site, just something different that's all, and when u get loaded. Personally I think that would be cool, but that's just me. Have a great day driver......
No disrespect by this question but is it possible for you to park closer to the side of the road? Or is there a danger with the street wires or neighbors lawn maybe?
My brother drove a day cab for years. He completely removed the passenger seat and a little table and a fridge, a microwave oven, and a coffee machine. He would drive all day and only had to stop to go to the bathroom or to deliver something
So the guy is expecting a delivery, but leave his truck parked in the driveway to be a obstacle. What a piece of work.

After doing production work and driving a straight truck for 23 years I am getting my CDL. I think these piggy backs are so cool. It's the reason I decided to go for my CDL. Not sure what kind of driving I'll end up doing but this looks a cool job to me.
Driving piggyback or Moffet is no fun. It's way different than a forklift cuz it's got no counterweight on the ass end. And if you've got to drop in the yard and it's been raining, good luck. Ask around at places like this and see how high the turnover is for drivers. It's because as soon as you can get away from a job like this you do
I did it for 8 months its not as fun as you think it is. Not to mention pay for my area sucked.
Your gonna need it if you have a truck 20,000 pounds or lighter but your load pushes it to over 24,000 pounds your gonna need that class B CDL.
@@unclebadger597 I ended up working for an Amazon freight partner. Yeah the moffet drivers don't get paid much. I started at $25 an hour 4 months ago and already got a dollar an hour raise. All drop and hook no touch freight.

I’m surprised how customers stand directly around machinery and loads that’s above their heads, and then wonder why they were injured 😂
they're called "maroons".
@mind games Exactly!
wonder why the driver so conscious allows it
Wow that was like watching two airplanes crash in mid air lol 😆
If you ever drive heavy equipment in a distribution facility, then those guys are basically 20 miles away compered to what you usually have to deal with.....
I don't understand why people demand, and complain so much. If you can get the stuff on or near my driveway; I'm totally happy with that. Honestly, I'm just glad to get the stuff delivered to my house. I can move the materials after delivery no problem.
"Mary Ellen moffett,,,, ,,,,,she broke my heart" 🥺🤣
I literally had just watched that clip, again.....one of the best scenes of all time. "Anyway, we delivered the bomb."
Here’s to swimmin with bow legged wimmin…..
“What? You’re wearing a sweater?”
I was the Delivery Manager for Lowes for 12 years and also the "pig" driver at the same time. Gotta say that the Home Depot "load pullers" do one hell of a job wrapping and bundling your product. Very impressive.
driver puts it on the truck all the time I'd do it if not my job because when your driving the truck is YOURS the load is YOURS it's all YOURS till you clock out..ill not explain to law enforcement or anyone why it is.. nobody is there except you so act like you own it all you will have a better out come in my opinion I hope you understand what I'm saying if not sorry
Hey man... Who is John Galt!?
@@murray8958 "Who is John Galt!?" Who the fuck cares?
He wants it inside, but then leaves a truck in the way.
Liability
Dealing with the public is always a surprise, you just never know who your gonna get.
Got that right
I used to run 13 axle 50 wheel freight.
No. All that sort of equipment can be driven on public roadways as part of the farm/construction exemption.
Get an inverter and plug in a Keurig mini, I love it my wrecker, coffee anywhere, any time. No looking around for coffee shops with big enough parking lot.
I like your videos. Keep up the good work.
I swear it's like Wreck It Ralph up in here. All's well that ends well: everyone is happy on this one.
Next episode hires a barista to sit in his truck and make him coffee. 😂
Thanks you saved me from wasting my time 👍and watching this
I quit this bullshit job a couple months ago. Too much headache when it could be so much easier. Home Depot could care less about the drivers and customers, and the same goes for the companies that are on the contract.
That goes for every capitalist employer. We are slaves and nothing more - just easy pickings.
The way he loaded the lift back up. Omg. 💪💪💪💪💪
Lol funny that they left their truck right next to where they want their delivery. I think they were trying to set you up !
Small-time contractors buy from HD or Lowes because of price. Bigger contractors buy from dedicated suppliers for service, A sheetrock supplier can put your 12' sheetrock into a second-floor attic window if needed. You get what you pay for in service.
I've got a very inexpensive, low tech. solution for your coffe, tea, soup problems, it's called a thermos, lol.
Should be how a respectful and happy customer acts .
The customer must be really pissed at Santa Claus, too.... always demanding, never receiving.... such a frustrating existence 😪
I'am Your Newest Subscriber great Videos
I don't understand why a path to put the items in the garage was not cleared out.
Bro Stanley thermos is my best friend. I never run out of hot coffee.
Love the content keep up the great work.
the Lowes stores in Amarillo the new policy is the driver does not place sheet rock in the garage, they will send out helpers and they will place in the garage.
Your a good driver and employee!
get you a little inverter, and a kerig perfect for the truck good job maneuvering btw
Thank you 🤠
@@SaffordDelivery Sir, I have been both the contractor as well as the delivery driver over the course of my days, Both are great memory making adventures. That being said don't let these people make your plans for you! PEACE keep on trucking Bro.
I used a hot water kettle and coffee press in my truck for years. If you have an inverter to run it. I also used a crock pot in my OTR rig. Smelled good while driving down the road.
Got a lot of shingle customers? Any cute shingle ladies? 🤣
Thanks for the shows. See ya on the next bat episode, at the same bat time maybe, on the same bat channel for sure.
Hell he could have moved the damn truck and cleared the garage a bit, could sat it in
Dude can carry his own sheet rock into garage
You guys don't get paid enough for this work!!! Nothing will get done, if it ain't DELIVERED, essential service!!
I almost got Rick Roll'd ty part 2
I enjoyed deliveries in my younger years and the request that some customers had were outrageous. 😅
Nice job to have for sure, you may get some people or more like customers wants you to do a little more when you only supposed to drop off merchandise at a certain place or spot. They can get really hateful at you because you're not doing what they want you to do when you have a policy that you only allowed to do so much.
Then they should hire someone to do that for them.
Or when the garage gets damaged
Who put that order together. If they order lumber you put plywood or dimensional lumber below the drywall when you can especially 12 ft dry wall cause it supports it and will help prevent it from breaking in half. Plus it helps to prevent damage to the drywall from the forks.
I have delivered many a load into customers garages without incident, as long as there are no obstructions and plenty of clearance, it aint nothing but a thing.
Great job! Very professional 👍
Bruh that truck is a BEAST. Don’t make deliveries here in Southern California, you’ll get stuck on every other street lol
That was such an exciting video I could hardly stand it.
Im just curious though have you ever went some where to deliver that it just wasnt really possible to get into or just really hard to manuver
All the time
On or delivery tickets it stated not responsible for damage done beyond. Curb line and it held up in court also 4:16 😊
I ran the Home Depot route for years and all you gotta do bro is slide the of the drywall in with the moffett…once you get a lil more practice you’ll be fine 🤦🏾♂️
I am dumbfound when it's the deliver driver's fault when the sales reps promise stupid delivery requests. Keyword delivery and driver, you an i are at the end of the stupid decisions process...
We get deliveries once in a while and we request a call before they leave the yard and sometimes they do sometimes they don't.
The moffet I use weighs 7000lbs by itself, and I let the customer know what I can and can’t do with it. As long as I try and they see that I competently did my best they usually say “thanks for trying”
Bro serious question are you bay area transparency!??
Very trusting leaving truck & Forklift on
As im sitting here thinking how damn good this cup of coffee is, this guy says hes gonna put a coffee maker in his truck.weird coincidence.lol
Aaaaaand now I'm headed to my coffee pot. Lol
Coffee maker 900 watts Walmmm
Power Inverter 1000 Flying jjjjj
Just be sure to install the 150 amp fuse close to the battery.
Also, don't buy that 12 volt joke of a coffee maker.
Geeeezzz
I can’t even imagine getting thousands of pounds of material delivered to a job and complaining
@Mason Bannon: Thousands or hundreds, what does that have to do with it?
Always rains on drywall delivery day 😂
you should refrain from saying"doing this dirty"of course some people will be not the best..but you can counter this with sign this stating I'm not responsible for damage and I'll put it anywhere to a degree that flies here in Cincinnati ..yes IV done this for many yrs myself but people are pretty good if you let them know what to expect..and people don't want to hear I just do this and I'm done
You should get that coffee maker! They are great for truck drivers. Some comfort is a good idea. ❤
Watched pt. 1 and 2, I forgot to like part 1 so I'll give this two thumbs up 👍👍
The Contractor can DEMAND what ever he wants. Delivery is to CURBSIDE ONLY . Send for MINIONS to place it inside .
I wanted to see how you got that huge rig out of there! Nice service man
wtf ? where’s the contractor demanding you put the drywall in the garage?
You should do some driving videos, like on the way to the job site, just something different that's all, and when u get loaded. Personally I think that would be cool, but that's just me. Have a great day driver......
This guy “looks” like he’s working, but what he’s really doing is Mario kart driving all day talkin Down Bowsers
🤣🤣
Moffett mountie...designed and originally manufactured in County Monaghan and County Louth here in Ireland.
You know this company is not well established when they are renting a Hertz truck
No disrespect by this question but is it possible for you to park closer to the side of the road? Or is there a danger with the street wires or neighbors lawn maybe?
Depends on the situation
Damn next time just hang the drywall too! Lol
My brother drove a day cab for years. He completely removed the passenger seat and a little table and a fridge, a microwave oven, and a coffee machine. He would drive all day and only had to stop to go to the bathroom or to deliver something
How did he get gas?
As fork lift driver aswell I never wear gloves , people got no idea the risk in driving a forklift / truck thats why I have High Risk Licence !!
Man didn't realize this was part 2, i was confused lol
