I’m trying to be brave. I want to make a couple of TeeShirts and coffee mugs for Christmas. I watch your videos all the time and I don’t even want you to know how long I have owned a Cricut and have not touched it. My husband gave my Air Explore 2 model to his granddaughter and asked me what I wanted in return and I said a Maker 3 but all he heard was Maker so he bought the one before the Maker 3. It’s all right I’m still scared of it. Thanks for your help. I will let you know, you are such a sweet nice person. I wish I lived closer. Janice
That’s totally fine Janice! The maker will work just as well for a beginner 😊 my best advice is to just start trying things and you will get more comfortable. I still make boo boos sometimes, but you will get more confident as you go!

Thank you for this tutorial, I bought my Cricut Explore 2 over a year ago. My son set it all up for me and then I was left to myself. Well I never did start, I ended up packing it back up in it's box and that's where its been. But my husband is having a fit that I haven't yet used it. I lost my job 5 days before Christmas. I've been in a really bad place in my head,I don't want to do anything. I want to try and use my cricut to make some money til I can find a new job. I can't find the motivation to start stickers. I have a new printer in the box but I need to clean my desk off first. I know I know but I'm lazy lol.
I've had my Cricut maker for 3 years and never have I used the templates. After seeing this video I ran over and what a discovery, here I've been measuring and I clicked on the PJ template which gave me the size onesie I needed and bam I was done. In all the tutorials I've watched not one person has mentioned this feature. Thank you so much for sharing these great tutorials.

My biggest problem is getting the transfer tape to work. It can be frustrating at times, but I’m learning to be more patient with it (difficult at times as a high-functioning Autistic 🤪)! Thank you for explaining. I'm waiting for my cricut to arrive ( although hubby says I can't open it until Christmas). I'm a decorative painter and want to use this for my lettering . Wow! Omg! I dont know anything about cricut, except for what you just said and I dont know how much of that I really got.... but I did save the video, I have been trying to decide for the last 3 weeks what to get, my husband asked what I wanted for Christmas, I first told him tools. But really we already have all that for the most part. I mean we have a table saw, jigsaw, drills, staple guns, drill press, I mean we have it all except for just a few small things that I can really get later. So I told him I wanted a cricut, and I have researched sooooo much. Then I watched the crafting cousins they showed the difference in 4 of them. So I know I want the maker and I found it on the cricut site in a bundle for$251.99 thats with access to cricut space witch I already signed up for. It does come in a bundle of stuff but I dont know what I need to get started. Should I get extra knifes or vinyl or what I dont know? Help please.
Hi Kim, here's my list of must haves to get started on beginner projects:
A Machine
Permanent Vinyl
Transfer Tape
A set of Tools
Once you get going with that you can see what you like and can expand to heat transfer vinyl and other options :)

I had my Circut a year before I plugged it in. You gave me the courage to turn it on and use it! Now I have the Explore Air 2 and a Joy. I'm learning. Transfer tape drives me insane! I can't pick up my whole image with it. Ugh trying to get the hang of it is frustrating.

Hey sweetie... I think I told you before that I have one of the dinosaur Cricuts that I JUST cut out one thing {then I realized I had NO transfer paper lol} so it's still just chillin. ANYHOOOOZIE, I've done a LOT of research, etc... And I'm pretty sure that the JOY is probably the most I will need. I don't plan on making anything more than like words or whatever for signs, etc... And then t-shirts. PLUS, a big part is SPACE, because if I don't find a designated spot for it and LEAVE IT THERE, I won't use it. Even though it's so small, if I have to get it out every time I wanna use it, I KNOW ME and I know I just won't do it! Sooo, at least until we find our forever home where I'll have a REAL CRAFT ROOM with more space, I just feel like the Joy will be the best. That being said, I'll have to do everything from my phone which is an Android. I was just wondering if you knew anything about the amount of free memory space required to use it AND if there are only certain phones within the "Android world" that are compatible. I get mixed info every time I try to search for that info. I just wanna make sure I can even USE IT before I buy it. Thank you sweetie for taking so much time out of your busy life to play "Cricut teacher" to us who've obviously been living under a rock. Hehe Hope you have a super sparkly day sweetie. Thats a great way to look at it Lisa! I have all apple products so I'm not sure about Androids. But I know Cricut has info on their website about what devices are compatible. :)

Hi Kathy! Slice will only highlight if you have 2 items selected. If you only have 1, it will be grayed out because you need two to slice. I hope that helps 😊

Hey Marissa! It's the same process as the gingerbread sign. I bought the SVG on Etsy (linked in the description) and it's already sized for you. Then you can add the boxes to each layer, cut, weed, make one decal and apply :)

So glad! My current favorites are: Whitelove, Christian Heedlay, Gistey, Market Saturday, Strawberry Blossom, Mango Salsa, and McLaren Regular. All are free on Dafont.com except the last one, that you have to download from Google fonts :)
