Thank you for this helpful review and the hack. I had just watched another reviewer and she gave this press a negative assessment because of the limited pressure. You have helped restore my excitement about having bought this press.
I was looking for a video of the puff vinyl with this heat press. Yours was the only one I could find. I couldn't really tell if it puffed up or it's a different kind of puff vinyl. Please clarify. Thanks.
Great demo! I've had my press for almost a year and love it! I use a silicone mat for extra pressure but to date, I've only needed it for DTF transfers. It's a great press with a bunch of cool features usually found on significantly more expensive presses!
Thanks for this tip! I'm glad I'm experimenting with free transfers right now. I just unboxed and am trying it out and was stuck with not getting enough pressure. It was encouraging to hear you share you've done over 500 presses on this machine.
Thanks. I just got this press today and saw now where you can’t adjust pressure and I do DTF and screen prints. I hope this works. I have 30 days to see if it works so I can send it back , if it doesn’t help!
Was going to say two things but someone already told where handles are located. For extra pressure I picked up a free cardboard mailer at post office. It is 15 inches by longer. I undo the two straps at the side, slide in the flattened box put on the garment and press it. When finished pull out box re connect straps and I'm done
Was going to try using a pressing pillow in the future but yesterday I sublimated Cricut ceramic coasters, placed a thick piece of cardstock on bottom to protect my mat & it did a great job, 400 for 240 minutes. Thanks for your ideas, we all need to share❤
Is that time actually right? That's 4 hours? I'm just looking at a new press before I get into subli. That can't be right! Who has that kind of time and how hot does your house get!?!? I just just checked cricut site. It's 240 SECONDS not minutes. You'll burn your house down using those numbers. Be careful out there!!!
Hello Chris ,thank you! I love this video on getting more pressure on the the htvront . Ok another question after l am finished with the machine does the power button supposed to continued to flash ? The only way for it to stop flashing l have to unplug it .l just received it on last Friday
Thank you so much. I just treated myself to this heat press for my birthday but won’t ship out til 12/10. I’m so happy I found this hack and can’t wait to get it and use it! 500 presses! Awesome! Thank you.
My autopress is on it's way from an Amazon Deal Day deal and I can't wait to get it! I am being proactive and watching videos before i get it and now I am really excited to get it. I have been using a Cricut Easy Press 2 12x10 and like it but this machine looks SO MUCH BETTER!
Thanks for the information. My heat press just came today and so excited to try it out. I've been using an Easy Press and when I do a lot of shirts my arms and back hurts after 3 or 5 presses.
Thank you so much. I love my HTV heat press but was concern about the pressure and was looking to purchase a clamshell heat press. I came across your video hack, thank you!
Thanks so much!! I am thinking about getting it. I have the easy press by them but need something bigger. Have you used it with HTV? Update: I have the press, and I use the pillow and it helps. A lot!!!
Thanks for this tip. I have one but have yet to use it. I got a new printer I need to setup as well. Unfortunately no time to get it up and running as I am in the middle of making sketchbooks and journals for the grandkids.
Great to know! Thanks! I’ve had my new HTVRont auto press for a couple weeks. Also I didn’t know about the direct to garment stuff! I’ll be checking that out soon.
Great hack, my press is out for delivery today. I order it Sept 3rd, so I've been scouring RUclips for more information on the press. I found one that shows you can pick up the press to move it from the sides. under the bulk of the unit if that makes sense? That would be only if it is not on & cold. It says it also weighs 38 pounds without the packaging. So I'll more than likely take it out of the box on the floor. I'll let you know how I made out with that. Keep up the reviews. I'm glad I found your channel, I haven't done vinyl for a while so I'm looking forward to your videos with using this press.
Thank you so much for the tip, you're a true life savor! I wasn't sure whether i was going to go with this machine based on this one thing but now you just gave me confirmation :) Also was wondering how come on their official website they still have no reviews and it seems like most people are buying from Amazon instead?
@@DailyDoseofDIY Ahh, okay I see. I just realized you aren't able to get an extended warranty on amazon so it's actually not worth paying so much more for the convenience. Thank you for responding by the way and wish you all the best!
The very first time I used my new machine, 5 days ago, the transfer paper moved and I got print on my new matt so I decided to purchase a second matt, then I used heat transfer tape to tape down the top matt with transfer paper and used the hooks to keep them both in place so transfer paper is always on my machine in case I should ever forget, it's already on the machine. This also always give me more pressure. Not sure if more pressure will affect my design on t-shirts yet. What is your thought?
Mine got returned as it was total crap, I ended up getting a auto open heatpress that was way better, adjustable pressure, pull out drawer and a Tony of space from bottom to top of platen
I finally got the HTV RONT AUTO PRESS & I'm not getting answers regarding what b voltage I need so not to break circuit breakers. HTV RON isn't answering my emails
Because you previously pressed the transfer, how can you be sure that the increased pressure is what made the difference and not the fact that you pressed it again.
I'm not sure what the Cricut heat pads are made of since i dont own one, but could you use an extra silicon heat press pad instead, or would that be too thick?
Great?. I wonder if you pre heat too a high heat, then turn it off with the drawer in with transfer on platen if there would be enough residual heat to cure? More questions. Hmmmm
I tried adding something below to make it thicker and it still will not adhere my DTF.. :( Any other ideas of what to use besides a drying mat ? A towel thicker than that?
I really appreciated your tips! My one question is the first test you did was with puff htv. When I purchased it the guidelines to press indicated 280/300 degrees for 8 to 10 seconds. It looked like you pressed it at 320, is that correct? I'm aware to never use Teflon with puff and only parchment. It looked like you put it on top of the pad. I'm only interested because it worked for you doing the higher temp. I have this press and am still trying to like it for me because I love using siser stretch and vinyl that needs more pressure. I did purchase a silicone 15x15 mat to use under or on top of pad that came with it. Just wondering if the puff worked for you because you pressed at 320. Thank you for your video it was encouraging for me to think I will keep this press, htvront.
It depends on the brand of your puff vinyl. The kind I got said 305-320 for 15 seconds and I do usually go to the hottest of the range they give. Unless the fabric I’m pressing has a danger of burning.
I tried to use my htvront for the first time today to sublimate on to a shirt. Needless to say I was disappointed because the design was too faint. I will try your trick next time. Have you tried any thing else that would work besides the easy press mat because I don't have one?
Based on your videos, I decided to purchase the HTVRONT! It arrived today, again I watched your videos. Have you tried using a large heat press pillow under tee shirt instead of wool felt?? I have numerous sizes of pillows…. Where did you find wool felt? Thank you! Susan
No it’s on a plastic table. The standard white ones they sell everywhere. It’s stable enough to hold it, time will tell if the plastic starts to bow in.
I have one of those plastic tables too. My heat press is coming this Tuesday. I can’t wait to get it. I already have a tome of projects ready to start.
The pressures not the main problem the biggest problem with this one is it doesn’t have a swing away. Pressing larger items is the biggest pain. If this has a swing away it would be amazing. Even with the drawer if you try pressing a XXL sweatshirt it’s thicker and you can hardly get it flat under the platent.
Thank you for this helpful review and the hack. I had just watched another reviewer and she gave this press a negative assessment because of the limited pressure. You have helped restore my excitement about having bought this press.
I love how you said "it didn't take very long to get this burnt look" as if it's something to achieve. it is! It means you're working hard :)
I was looking for a video of the puff vinyl with this heat press. Yours was the only one I could find. I couldn't really tell if it puffed up or it's a different kind of puff vinyl. Please clarify. Thanks.
She stated it puffed up and was adhering without lifting off.
Great demo! I've had my press for almost a year and love it! I use a silicone mat for extra pressure but to date, I've only needed it for DTF transfers. It's a great press with a bunch of cool features usually found on significantly more expensive presses!

I bought the Auto press and had that same problem. Thank you so much for the video. Now I will use a pillow when I need extra pressure
Thank you. I’m in the research stage and really unsure which machine to buy.

Just got this machine. Love it so far! My arms and shoulders are so grateful!

How did you press for that time, or did you have to have the machine rise and lower a few times
I’m very curious about the length of time, too. Did you press it multiple times?
Even though u had to let it release an re press to make up the time it work
Is that time actually right? That's 4 hours? I'm just looking at a new press before I get into subli. That can't be right! Who has that kind of time and how hot does your house get!?!? Thanks for tip i got my htvront last week pressed a screen print and it was hard to get it stuck down will try this tip next time
Thank you for the tip, just ordered my HTVront press, so excited to get started.
I Sublimated glass clocks this week with mine. No problem if you warm them first.
So very helpful! Thank you! Just received my new HTVRONT!
Thank you so much. I just treated myself to this heat press for my birthday but won’t ship out til 12/10. I’m so happy I found this hack and can’t wait to get it and use it! 500 presses! Awesome! Thank you.
I totally have been trying everything to get the puff to turn out correctly with this heat press! Thank you!
My autopress is on it's way from an Amazon Deal Day deal and I can't wait to get it! I am being proactive and watching videos before i get it and now I am really excited to get it. I have been using a Cricut Easy Press 2 12x10 and like it but this machine looks SO MUCH BETTER!

I’ve been on the fence purchasing this one too because of pressure. Now I think I may try.
I am going to try the pillow however, my issue was getting transfers to stick to hoodies which are already thick
The handles are under the bottom of the machine on the sides.
Hi thank you so much for sharing.how much for the price of this machine
Have not gotten one yet but I'm searching for a good one. Undecided on manual vs auto but like your pressure hack
When I make stuff it’s in bulk a lot of times, like 500 bags or 50+ shirts and having it automatic is a life saver 😊
Thank you so much. I love my HTV heat press but was concern about the pressure and was looking to purchase a clamshell heat press. I came across your video hack, thank you!
You are welcome!
I have only used my press three times and it has started making a popping sound when heating up. Is this a common thing with the HTVRONT press?
Mine has started to do that also
Thank you! Thank you Thank you! I was thinking I was going to have to send my new HTV heat press back!!
Hi there! Awesome video! Can you do a video with puff?
Do you know how to clean the plate? I cant reach under it?
Hi Chris I have searched the internet and can’t find an answer. Do you know how to clean the heat plate?
Thanks so much!! I am thinking about getting it. I have the easy press by them but need something bigger. Have you used it with HTV? Update: I have the press, and I use the pillow and it helps. A lot!!!
Hello! Great review. There are groves in the base that helps you to move the press as well.
Thanks!
I just ordered one of these. Do u think I can use the platinum cover from my other heat press
Thanks for this tip. I have one but have yet to use it. I got a new printer I need to setup as well. Unfortunately no time to get it up and running as I am in the middle of making sketchbooks and journals for the grandkids.
Thank you. I have a wool pressing mat for sewing do you think i could use that in place of the wool felt sheet and the autopress mat?
Thank you, I’m going to try again with sublimation on canvas.
Can you do rhinestones in this press?
It's really a great heat press I've ever used. Love it!
I just received my press. I can't wait to use it! Thanks so much!
Is there a trick for less pressure? I just got my press today and tried it with my neoprene car coasters and it was definitely too much pressure.
Did you add the "Thankful" or did the Etsy shop add that? I don't see it on the design they posted.....
Great to know! Thanks! I’ve had my new HTVRont auto press for a couple weeks. Also I didn’t know about the direct to garment stuff! I’ll be checking that out soon.
Thank you!!!! I had this issue today using the press for the first time! Super helpful!!
Awesome. I just ordered one. I can’t wait to get it.
awesome video. thank you!!!! so so so helpful. im going to buy one now thanks to you.
Can you replacement heat pad .?
Do you know what time and temperature to do ceramic ornaments with sublimation. I am good results so far
How is the quality of the print of the shirts? Do they hold up?
Yes as long as you take care of them. Wash inside out hang to dry or tumble dry low.
Thank you for the great trick. I ordered mine in September after watching your video and I am finally getting it on Thursday. Can’t wait
Wooohooo!

Awesome! I hope you enjoy it! Yes there are handles on the bottom, but I don’t have enough arm length to get a good grip there to lift it.
What Puff brand did you use?
Thank you so much where do you get your puff prints?
Do you need to do that trick with glitter vinyl and the printable transfers?
I would do it with anything that requires high pressure. Medium and light pressure items seem to press well.
This was most helpful. Thank you.
Does this have to be used with the mat that comes on it?
Thank you for all the tips and tricks! 🙏🏾
Just ordered mine. Can’t wait to get it.
I can't wait to try this. Thank you!
Awesome tip can't wait to get my press
Thank you so much for the tip, you're a true life savor! I wasn't sure whether i was going to go with this machine based on this one thing but now you just gave me confirmation :) Also was wondering how come on their official website they still have no reviews and it seems like most people are buying from Amazon instead?

Thank you soooo much. I have one on the way, so I'm trying to get as much info as possible. Thanx for sharing.

I don't think adding more pressure to something that needs light pressure will do any harm. At least not in my experience =)
That was my next question. Thank you!
Great hint. Thanks so much 😊
Will it do rhinestones
Did you sublimate or? I’ve never heard of what you did thank you
Thanks for the info sorry forgot
Mine got returned as it was total crap, I ended up getting a auto open heatpress that was way better, adjustable pressure, pull out drawer and a Tony of space from bottom to top of platen
Which one did you get, I am thinking of returning mine too
What one did you get. I haven't decided whIch one I want yet
Which press did you end up getting? I am in the research stage, almost ready to purchase, but not quite ready.
What did you get?
Yes please, which one? Lol
Where do you buy wool felt?
Does the display always flash like that or is it messed up?
Could you do an adult hood on this machine x
That should be hoody top sorry
Yes, I've done several.
@@DailyDoseofDIY could you do a demo please x
I finally got the HTV RONT AUTO PRESS & I'm not getting answers regarding what b voltage I need so not to break circuit breakers. HTV RON isn't answering my emails
Thank you. I found this 'hack' very, very helpful.
Because you previously pressed the transfer, how can you be sure that the increased pressure is what made the difference and not the fact that you pressed it again.
can we disregard the foam mat?
Great tip. Thankyou
Thank you for this info! I have been hesitant to order this heat press. Please do a follow up video. So this websight is legitimate then. Thks!
Yes and they’re on Amazon now too, I put the link I. The description
Do you think Teflon sheet is better than parchment or vice versa?
I was wondering about butcher paper. Will that work?
I'm not sure what the Cricut heat pads are made of since i dont own one, but could you use an extra silicon heat press pad instead, or would that be too thick?
As long as it’s heat resistant, adds thickness and will fit it will be fine. I haven’t used the silicone before. How thick are they?
So combine the wool sheet with the extra mat?
You don’t necessarily have to use the wool sheet. I was sharing that tip to keep your mat from getting discolored
Mine came in this weekend 😊 have you figured out how to make it not press and just hover? Like to cure dtf?
I have not. You can turn off the automatic press and have it stay up. Is that close enough?
Does it work for dtf prints
Yes I would try a thick towel, you could even fold it to make it thicker
Did you manage to make it transfer DTF? How did you fix the issue? I am still not sure if htvront is the one for DTF.
This is what I want to know as well before I purchase it
Can it work on bling transfers

Hi, should the on/off button continually blink when off?
Mine does. I plugged it into a power strip so I can power it off completely.
Yes, very helpful. I'm definitely getting this
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks! This was very helpful!
Thank you for this great tip
I tried this trick but I’m still having issues getting it to stick. Any other suggestions?
Based on your videos, I decided to purchase the HTVRONT! It arrived today, again I watched your videos. Have you tried using a large heat press pillow under tee shirt instead of wool felt?? I have numerous sizes of pillows…. Where did you find wool felt?
Thank you!
Susan
I’m pretty sure at Joann fabrics. You can find it at most craft stores. I have the 35% wool felt by national nonwovens. I hope you enjoy the press ☺️
Thks, have you used a heat press pillow for the added pressure? Thks
Would butcher paper instead of wool work or am I safer to purchase wool?
Thanks Chris for sharing this was a great idea
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you
Is your six foot craft table metal? I was afraid to set it on those plastic tables they sell now, even though they are very hard surfaces.
No it’s on a plastic table. The standard white ones they sell everywhere. It’s stable enough to hold it, time will tell if the plastic starts to bow in.

I've heard this before and this is probably my biggest concern about getting the auto press 😢
When ever mine lifts I just press again till it stops lifting. Didnt think of using the other mat
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great tip.
Does anyone know how to clean the heat plate? I accidentally used the wrong material and One got melted on there
Try search "how to clean iron of melted whatever it is you used". Obviously you'll have to work upside down ... Carefully. Good luck.
Can you tell me what percent your wool felt is?
