  • I needed to take the tires off this bike and use them for testing on the Amigo Rocky, so……. I decided to tear the entire bike apart, in preparation for rebuilding this Icebear Champion into a 1978 Honda CT70 replica. This is the first of many rebuild videos for this bike.

I'm having a hard time deciding on buying a clone or the actual bike, i have a 190cc 5spd motor on my pitbike i plan to swap onto whatever i buy

din't have to cut the ground wire you could just have disconnected it at the engine, it's connected to one of the engine covers

Unfortunately, no. Both wires came back together on the underside of the battery box. The only way to remove was cut the wire or the box.

@@MiniBikeMike ah, it's prob bit different from my bike than cause i remember the wire when i did my engine swap (2017 Zhenhua Zh-CjL50-1 full automatic swapped with a lifan 50cc manual) EU version

Hey Mike. Loving the series. When you do set the bike back up to the 78 style would you link or say where you source the speedometer from? The original speedometers are super pricey on ebay. I was just curious what the alternative is for the aftermarket. Thanks.

Thanks! Yes, speedo’s, like everything else, have really jumped in price. I found a round alternative that I’m hoping will work….we’ll find out together. 😄

What is it like out of the box and do you know who the Chinese manufacturer is?

Does this have the 5.5l tank?

I don’t know. I’d have to look at the owner’s manual and see if it lists the size.
