I have 98 GXE with 216K miles and runs great. Rusts has eaten all 4 panels and the hood has been replaced. 4 battery change, 3 starter replacement. 1 alternator change, countless rotors brake pad changes. Most of its life, the check engine light is on
Just bought a 98 GXE today, 10 years and some odd time after your time...no rust besides surface body rust from the paint wearing off, I will repaint it with tractor paint.. cars dont really rust in Georgia
these 1.6 engines are abdolutely indestructable! i have a 99 altima and its great. i wish nissan didnt screw up their almost perfect reputation in 2002 and 2003
I have owned this exact blue car for 16 years. It’s been a great car. It was my first car. I just bought a Toyota RAV 4 so I’m going to try to sell it now.
Sweet Sentra, it has an SR20DE which is very hard to come by and extremely reliable. The only thing missing is a manual transmission. I would buy it if it was closer to me.
I’m driving my 99 sentra manual transmission!!! Love it. Gas saver and feels much safer than many of these newer economy vehicles out! Roughly $30 to fill and gas lasts!
its not always about the motor or power. true enthusiasts will tell you that power and motor only matters on track. but for a daily driver? It's about the driving experience and just because it has a better motor and the heritage from the SR20 doesnt mean it is necessarily better.
@92ASC Thanks for all that info!, The V6 is incredibly efficient. I know the Lexus ES 350 is based on the Camry, and that car requires premium gas, while the Camry can run on regular.
@920gamez limited means a limit of cars made, like 100, which are loaded with premium packages and an a additional package which could be paint, bigger wheels,tv screens etc. this sentra is loaded and i think the blue paint is limited. base model V limited is way different, hope i helped.
@92ASC Thanks, I think may go for the Camry, because my old car is a 1997 Toyota Camry LE and I found it to be very reliable. Despite all the recalls, doesn't Toyota still have a very strong and appealing image?
These are some pretty nice cars! I like the color rims on this one. Not to big on the bright blue though If you ever come across a 2000-2003 Hyundai Accent you should make a video of it, no push or anything just if you come across one.
@92ASC haha nice, I hear ya. Do you mind if I ask, do you drive the V6 model? If so, is it smooth? I drive a 1997 Camry LE, 4-cyl, and its not very smooth, but that may be just because of the suspension or the fact that the car is now 13 years old, right?
@FordNissanChevy You base that on what? I had a 97 Sentra GXE with a 195k miles and the only thing that ever broke was the A/C, and that was after 190k miles of use. And I still see tons of these cars around, so it wasn't just an exception.
mine has 20400 plus miles on it that I put in :D.... And still running with the same engine... But mine is a 98 Nissan setra gxe :P.... I do regular oil changes and just got done changing the timing chain.... Still running strong :D...
+Jeddy The SE featured a 2.0l, while the GXE and lower trim levels featured a 1.6L. I owned a '99 GXE Limited back in 2004; it wasn't a bad little car. The GXE was well equipped (Power doorlocks, mirrors, windows, cruise, AM/FM/CD, remote door locks, and alloy wheels with a less sporty design than the SE).
I'm debating between getting a Nissan Altima 3.5 V6 and a Toyota Camry XLE V6. I heard the Nissan is less reliable than the Camry, so I don't know which to go for.
@Hackiesacker007 I mean, toyota still has a strong following. And even with all the recalls, their customer loyalty and satisfaction is still pretty high. I personally drive a 2002 Camry XLE and I love it. Granted, it's not the most exciting thing to drive, but as a comfortable daily commuter, it's a damn good car.
@Hackiesacker007 if you want a sedan that's comfortable and luxurious, get the camry. If you want a car that's a little more on the sporty side, get the altima. As far as reliability goes, both are about the same. You may be able to score a camry for a slightly better deal considering Toyota is doing everything they can to rebuild their brand image.
@Hackiesacker007 ha I wish I had the V6. Mine is the 2.4L 4 banger. I will say that while it's not a V6, it's still pretty damn smooth tho and provides adequate power. Your camry has the 2.2L 4cyl so even if you do get a 4 banger you will still see a noticeable increase in power. Yours is around 130HP, the 2002-2009 models have 158HP, and the 2010+ models have the 2.5L which puts out 169HP. However, if I were getting a new camry Id get the 3.5L V6 because it puts out 268HP and still gets 25+ mpg
My first car. Exactly like this one. I'm in love. Truly a magnificent car
just stumbled upon this video randomly but dude ive passed this place so many times over the years

My dad had one, GXE. But it was totaled and now he has an '04 which might be mine soon! xD I love Sentras. Thanks for this video.
The color of that Sentra is beautiful! Great video as always!
I swear to God Kyle, that you find the nicest cars around.
these 1.6 engines are abdolutely indestructable! i have a 99 altima and its great. i wish nissan didnt screw up their almost perfect reputation in 2002 and 2003
I had a red 5spd Manual of this very model. 1999 Sentra SE-L I was pretty into the sr20 scene at the time. Good times!!
let get this guy to 1,000,000 subs! anyone in?
Man_ Of _Diamonds now let's get him to 2,000,000

@@HiChrisByeChris Just bought a 98 manual today myself
One of the best nissan ever made
Oh man, I used to have one of these. Loved it.
love it SR20!!!if someone passed this car up ur crazy as hell
its a B14 Model, so its one of the Last Sentras built in Smyrna before they moved production to Mexico with the B15 Model.
Probably the only thing I like about this car is the SR20DE engine
Perfect review & great Sentra.
My friend had one but black, really good car.
its not always about the motor or power. true enthusiasts will tell you that power and motor only matters on track. but for a daily driver? It's about the driving experience and just because it has a better motor and the heritage from the SR20 doesnt mean it is necessarily better.
very nice and clean sentra. I like this body style.
the 1995-1999 Nissan Sentra was assembled in
Smyrna, Tennessee
Aguascalientes, Mexico
Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
My Mexican sentra was made in the CIVAC plant, in Cuernavaca Morelos.
That is one sharp Nissan, especially the color! I'm looking for a '99 or 2000 Civic Si in that electric blue.
0:59 I like that startup
THIS CAR WAS NO JOKE. Hail SR20DE
Great video as always, you should do a vid on that silver Accord Coupe 6 speed if you get a chance. ;) Keep up the good work!!
looks like real european.love the allow wheels.
a friend of mine had a sentra.
and enjoy the tour
This is the car I want
4:51 I like that song
@Hackiesacker007 No problem! And the Camry V6 can run on regular just fine as long as you use good quality gas.
@92ASC Thanks for all that info!, The V6 is incredibly efficient. I know the Lexus ES 350 is based on the Camry, and that car requires premium gas, while the Camry can run on regular.

I get an average of 320 miles per fill up with this car, mixed city, highway about 60/40 ratio. How far do you guys go?
@92ASC Thanks, I think may go for the Camry, because my old car is a 1997 Toyota Camry LE and I found it to be very reliable. Despite all the recalls, doesn't Toyota still have a very strong and appealing image?

THE BEST B14 EVER.

first or second time changing the chain?
buen trabajo..!! muy bien cuidado por afuera y adentro.. solo faltaría ver el motor
My dad has this car and the trunk isn't bad at all for a car of this class. Easier to get a golf bag in than an E39 BMW 5-series.
can you do a video on the accord next to it?
What's the difference between the SE model and the base model?
+Jeddy The SE featured a 2.0l, while the GXE and lower trim levels featured a 1.6L. I owned a '99 GXE Limited back in 2004; it wasn't a bad little car. Erik Petrie my se has a manual trans
Such a beauty! I think maybe the timing chain tensioner has gone bad on it.
Love it 😍
Please do a review of 2010 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4x4
I had a 1997 Nissan Sentra and now a upgraded to the 2010 Mazda 3
Where can i buy this car ?
Want a DONUT 🍩
Hey Kyle can you do the Accord 6spd beside the Sentra?
great car...….I have 2001 Sentra SE same model it appears. Quicidentaly I'm not that far from where this video is made.
Dat SE-L~ Damn shame yours is automatic. It'd be a hell of a driving experience for a B14 sedan if it were stick.
The ones I have I ended up putting seat covers but still. Maybe thats why sometimes my back hurts. Hard ass sits. lol. the 99's fit well on urs?
I'm debating between getting a Nissan Altima 3.5 V6 and a Toyota Camry XLE V6.
I heard the Nissan is less reliable than the Camry, so I don't know which to go for.
I have 98 GXE one as clean as this ride. I'm looking for OEM body panels like side-skirts, spoiler. If you have those parts heat me up.
هاتلنا نيسان بريميرا مادام انت ناصح كدا
for 96k miles it looks like its perfect condition
