Original owner of an '02 Spec V /w 34k engine miles and will never get rid of it. It's still running great as ever and still in love with this little gem!
I picked up a 2010 SER Spec V in November with 70k original miles untouched, fully stock. Tbh the look grew on me , when I test drove it , I loved it lol . Pulls hard and that 6spd is pretty nice as well. Highly underrated car that many bash on , till they get gapped by one 😂
the b15 will allways stand as its much more sporty and cooler looking older brother I can never get passed the look of the b16 no matter how hard I try but the specs under the hood is what matters.
Thing is, that 200hp in that one is easily reached in the B15 Spec V. Some of the things the motor has basically limits the power to prevent shaking. Balance shaft removal and a tube without anything else will already set you just below that 200 mark. Exhaust, headers and CAI will push it over.
I have a 2006 SE-R spec V and I’m really surprised how much I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve always drove trucks and the Spec V is so much more enjoyable of a commuter. I live in the mountains and have to go over a pass everyday, so the spec v is a blast around those corners.
I have a 2002 spec v. Took it to indy and managed to get a 15.2 at 91mph. Only problem they had was the screws on the secondary intake butterflies. I also heard the factory cat/ manifold combo caused premature piston wear, and aftermarket headers could cause alternator fires. Thread locked the screws, already had an aftermarket header, added an alternator heat shield. Put 70,000 miles on it in 2 years delivery driving.
My first car ever was a b15 ser specV. Missed it so bad that i went and bought the best one i can find. Orange, brembos, and some goodies added in the mix. Ive since almost completely restored the car and still have big plans for it. I also bought my old car back as a parts car, since the last owner trashed it. Glad i came across this video. It was very entertaining.
Had an 02 spec v way back when. Thing was an absolute blast. It had so much torque and was geared so short, you could take off from a dead stop in 6th, lol.
The b13 Sentra was an extremely fun small sedan. Passed down through generations in my family. Only if Nissan had a manual SE-R and more hp with the current styling I wouldve bought one. Bought a 15 Q50 Sport instead
For the b14 generation, there was sort of a se-r version. They called it the 200sx se-r, which is essentially a 2 door Sentra, with all the good stuff from the b13 se-r.
I own a B13 till this day, a 4-door B13 to be exact launched here in the Philippines in 1991 until it's end before the B14 in 1996 but still continued on sale on dealers up until 2000. there are 2 sentra models that was launched here also in 2007, the Bluebird Sylphy in Japan but we also called it the N16 Sentra was sold together as the B16 or locally called the Sentra 200 with the QR20DE while the N16 Sentra was offered with the Nissan QG13DE and QG16DE and trim levels like the Sentra GX, Sentra GXS, Sentra GS, and the Sentra GSX but of all the Sentras that launched the B13 still is my favorite...
Let's not forget to mention that the Sentra Nismo didn't even have a limited slip differential so despite it having better suspension than the B15 and B16 SE-Rs it can't put the power down as well and the fact that Nissan didn't at least give the MR16DDT a power bump over the 188hp that it has makes me think that Nissan wanted to keep making a manual SR Turbo which from what I understand was around only for 2017 but wanted to have some insensitive for someone to buy a Nismo other than the suspension upgrades so the did nothing to the powertrain and kept the manual avaliable for the Nismo and base models respectively, and btw the manual in the Nismo is exactly the same as the manual in the base model
Awesome video my friend. If I may add, the B13 in my opinion is the best SER version. The Sunny, Sentra, Tsuru, and specially the GTI-R all shared the same chassis. Even the 4 door Sentra and the SER are basically the same. This being said, the upgradability of this chassis is amazing. You can turn it into an AWD/RWD monster with only a few simple parts swap.
You sort of botched the B14, the SE-R was coupe only for the B14. The 1.6 by that point WAS nearly as quick as the SR, the SR had unchanged hp from the B13 SE-R. The B15 was plastic fantastic and sort of a pig with weight by that point
Just got a B16 2011, it's a 2.0L but it's the 6 speed manual trans and I'm thinking if getting an SRI or leaving it stock, previously had a '10 versa and put an SRI to it and changed the exhaust to a single pipe, that little box made 205kmh once... Maybe the Senra can deliver more than that??? We'll see 😂😂
my dad had at b12 sentra, i never cared if it was fast when i was litle but when he reved it up to the max it sounded fast, we are in a gas crisis! its expensive! whats the point of the horsepower if you cant legally use it, it great that they kept the same fun engine, but adding the wieght is like putting it on a school bus, just not gonna perform the same
Before the SE-R B13 existed, there was de B12 Sport Coupé Turbo. I don’t know why nobody pay attention to it :( maybe they didn’t take it to US. In Mexico it was lit.
I have They Yellow 04 SER spec-v and just the other day I was offered 3500 for it and I said no I could never replace what I got for that a true underdog unless you know.
I have a b15 , sadly the awful sun here in Ecuador killed the paint , I still have to make some improves in the suspension and the interior but I love it , like if you want me to paint it
I've a 03 SER specV 6spd manual with 160k kms with coilover a cold air intake and Full system exhaust with header and two sets of bodykit for SALE. Ontario, Canada.
You are talking about a time when companies pretended that they gave a crap about what people thought long enough to take your money now they just take your money with no frills at all
Actually the Celica was slow. Corolla S until recently still was too. But yes an 02 civic si had more power than a sentra se-r spec v. I'd like to see them at top end though. Sentra pulls hard after 100. I've kept up with Mercedes and BMW doing 130+ mph
Original owner of an '02 Spec V /w 34k engine miles and will never get rid of it. It's still running great as ever and still in love with this little gem!
Unpopular opinion the b13 Sentra SE-R is better that the 5th gen SI(civic EG) in stock form
B14 is really good, smooth but firm ride, that Nissan squish you get in the s chassis and gtr it’s there in the b13/ b14 gets lost by b15
And the B15 Spec V is better than the EP3 Si (direct competitor); and the B16 Spec V is a formidable competitor to the 8th and even 9th Gen Si.
@@XenomorphLV426i'd even argue the b15 spec is a worthy rival to the 8th gen as well, it's missing 25hp but is also about 150lbs lighter
B18 se-r better than all of those
Owned a B15 and a B16 and these cars are heavily under rated!
I Own 2 b15s lol still have them
Just got my B15 not even month ago and already have a magniflow exhaust otw lol I absolutely love it
@@xraytd8565Yk where the speed sensors are located on 2.0?
Idk gens but the SE-R from the early 90s and the the one from early 2000s. Both were dope and sleepers
I miss my b15 spec v
North East salt killed it but was a great car while I had it. Fun cheap little ripper of a daily.
Killin it with this content. I was lacking in Sentra knowledge, so thanks for the data! You the man Mark!
I’ve always wanted to build a sleeper out of a B13 Nissan Sentra SE-R, they remind me of a baby R32 Skyline or S13 but front wheel drive
Finally at least some people know the b13 b14 bro im in the carribean i see them every where
I picked up a 2010 SER Spec V in November with 70k original miles untouched, fully stock. Tbh the look grew on me , when I test drove it , I loved it lol . Pulls hard and that 6spd is pretty nice as well. Highly underrated car that many bash on , till they get gapped by one 😂
Same here man, but I bought mine straight piped. The thing flies
the b15 will allways stand as its much more sporty and cooler looking older brother I can never get passed the look of the b16 no matter how hard I try but the specs under the hood is what matters.
I bought a 2006 ser automatic and took it on the freeway, the nicest acceleration for a small car. I fell in love
Thing is, that 200hp in that one is easily reached in the B15 Spec V. Some of the things the motor has basically limits the power to prevent shaking. Balance shaft removal and a tube without anything else will already set you just below that 200 mark. Exhaust, headers and CAI will push it over.
It's the Hispanic uncle inside it shifting the hell out of it that makes it great.

I had a 2005 Spec V, it was so much fun. I wish I still had it.
I have a 2005 1.8 S, and I love it. I’m going to keep mine in good condition for a while
I've got a 2003 S and 2005 special edition... And I love 'em... But a Spec V would be unreal.
They handle and corner so well.
@@Tadpole9 yeah man, I would have totally bought a spec v if I could have found one. There are pretty much none for sale in my area unfortunately

Let’s fucking go, b13 finally gets some love

Got a 05 spec v sitting outside its my daily now and the things is fun cheap and so underrated

Just recently got a 06 Sentra and god I already love the car can’t wait to make it more my own
I love my '03 Spec V B15. super fun and I have done little so far as progress on the project. really not expensive to mod either
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I said "Spec V!"
I have always wanted to give one of these a chance.
The b13 Sentra was an extremely fun small sedan. Passed down through generations in my family. Only if Nissan had a manual SE-R and more hp with the current styling I wouldve bought one. Bought a 15 Q50 Sport instead
Watch out for complex steering issues in the twin turbo q50
@@truth4reel the 2015 i have is a Sport so it has hydraulic steering and the engine is the Naturally Aspirated VQ37. I avoided the twin turbo models
They did make manual version after this gen from 2007 to 12 up in power too 200 hp too

I miss my 2004 Nissan sentra ser spec v, RIP 🪦, drive safe.
I just bought a 2002 spec v it’s the first car I’ve bought myself and it’s sick af.
Just make sure you thread lock the secondary butterfly screws! Some had a recall for it!
Tell me why I got a Nisan ad right after the one in the video 😂

I have a B14. Not too bad of a car :) I put some IHE upgrade on it and it is mighty quick!

They did give the b14 as sr20 look up the 200sx se-r its a coupe based on the b14 chassis
My dad got a 2005 Nissan Sentra Ser spec v and so much fun
The bo1 music in the background go crazy
Own a b14
Bringing it to show worthy condition
Love the Black ops 1 theme in the background😂
Special Edition - Racing. That’s what SE-R is. It’s great.
NIce video, but im pretty sure the b14 did have an se-r version with lsd as well, but it had torsion bar rear suspension.
Well put together. Still own my '02 since new, and sad to see the direction that Nissan took with the Sentra, making it slower and less attractive.
02 is my favorite. Only year they had that R32 skyline front bumper.
You sort of botched the B14, the SE-R was coupe only for the B14. The 1.6 by that point WAS nearly as quick as the SR, the SR had unchanged hp from the B13 SE-R. The B15 was plastic fantastic and sort of a pig with weight by that point
Man your videos are great . ❤
Hey bro. Ur doing such a great job.i was going to suggest u do a series like this about the sentra.ur working fr
The best was the Sentra SE 2001. 2L 145 hp. Infiniti G20 engine. Perfect.

B13 for life.....
Can’t get away from a B13. The B13 SE-R is the best SE-R *IMO*. Drove a B14 and B15SE & Spec V but they don’t feel the same.
I hate when car companies do that to us Mitsubishi did the same with the evo
In your video you state that the 6th Gen SER Spec V only came with a CVT and that's incorrect it also has a 6-speed manual
I have a b15 , sadly the awful sun here in Ecuador killed the paint , I still have to make some improves in the suspension and the interior but I love it , like if you want me to paint it
It bums me out, because the latest body style has SO much potential if we were to get a new SE-R/Spec V trim ☹️
Tell me that was CoD background music throughout
yeah😂😂😂
I own a B12 from 1989
the 4th generation is my most favorite
B14 has a se-r version has the same sr20de as a b13 a base b14 comes with a 1.6
It didn’t hurt that it looked like a 3series in side profile in 91
I've a 03 SER specV 6spd manual with 160k kms with coilover a cold air intake and Full system exhaust with header and two sets of bodykit for SALE. Ontario, Canada.
How much
The pain I feel when I drive my 2012 Sentra S 2.0 knowing there’s a 2.5 se-r spec v 😢
You are talking about a time when companies pretended that they gave a crap about what people thought long enough to take your money now they just take your money with no frills at all
Ser = Special edition racer
Almost what u thought
Bright side at least is the new sentra is a turbo
I own a 2019 sr turbo, 188 horsepower
Great Sentra.
I just dont get why you would not be subscribed to the channel guys i am distraught 🤦♂️
Boom
I love his segways
NFS Underground
Not these ones , they started producing junk in the early 2000s the 2003 was a very bad model.
I have that b14.. Ugly ass car with no aura. Shitty appearance but well, it runs and is built like a tank
