Same thing for second season basically
Third season, could play less then 25 or 23 or whatever, or could play more, and is on the team that wins the cup again. Doesn’t matter that it’s the third and is still established as an nhl rookie in the third season winning the third cup.

Noting rocket richard Trophy was only introduced early 2000s (meaning gretzky and lemieuxnever won it despite their numerous records); u also forgot he'll have most 50 goals seasons and most times leading the league in goals
also most goals in 2000s isnt a real record...what IS a resl record however is most times finishing top 10 in special team scoring (powerplay+shorthanded points in the same season) is 10 by gretzky. not on wikipedia, i just found it when looking at all time stats on nhl.com

Some of the NHL records are so stupid "Most goals scored during a full moon by an 18.5 year old from Finland respresenting Toronto", like what the hell? If the record tracking is this detailed almost every player will have a NHL record of some sort.

To be fair, some of these stats weren't even being recorded until recently, so of course a lot of current players hold these records. NHL didn't even have regular season overtime until what, 1983? What player holds the record for most goals scored on Tuesday before the age of 25?

One sidenote on Crosby's status as youngest Art Ross Trophy winner: Gretzky, at age 19, got 137 and tied Marcel Dionne for the league lead in points. However, the NHL gave Dionne the trophy since he scored 2 more goals than Gretzky, although Gretzky got his points with one less game played.
Another sidenote to the above information: Gretzky's age 19 season was also his first in the NHL, but he was ineligible for the Calder Trophy because he had played in the WHA the previous year.

No they wouldn't. Alex lead NHL in goal scoring 9 times, (most all time), second place Hull with 7 times... Gretzky is at 5 and Lemieux - 3 times.

Ovi is 34 (35 when he gets to score goals again) and 300 goals behind Gretzky. Not sure he will catch up. That is 6 seasons of 50 goals or 8 seasons of 38 goals.

I have a question for everyone. As we all know Gretzky has the most points followed by Jagr. BUT!!! I personally think Lemieux is the 2nd best player to ever play in the NHL. Hear me out! If you look at points Lemiuex is the closest to 2 points per game out of all of the all time goats (excluding gretzky who is over 2 ppg). Lemieux also only played 915ish games with 1723 points. He is also 8th in career points and he has 400 to 800 less games played than the people above him in points but ranges from 37 to 193 points behind everyone above him (once again excluding gretzky). So that's my reason because I think if lemieux didn't have any injuries he would have most likely gotten 194 more points to put him above Jagr. What do you guys think?

Hart and norris), the only dman to do it at least once, and the only dman to win the art ross...and being the youngest nhler with a pro contract (14yro but started playing at 18)...that and the conn smythe and 2 cups and none of that with the black hawks (2 words)
Gretzky dropped to 1.9ppg after edmonton...lemieux had better ppg before returning from retirement. lemieux has .700+ gpg (2nd vs bossy in expansion era; 4th all time; higher than gretz - who is below ovi - and higher than ovi) he was on pace for 97 goals and 225 in 92-93 til missing 24 games to injury, but still won the art ross with 160. gretzky had 92 goals in 81-82, and 215 pts in 85-86 when he had 153 in 51 games from start of season. had he scored in every game hed have ended with 240 in 80. lemieuxs best was 83 goals, 199 points in 88-89. Best point streak? 45 i think. fastest 50 goals? 44 games, 2nd alltime in both instances. Gretz 50g in 39gm. most points in playoffs 47 = gretz. 2nd is 44 to lemieux. biggest argument in favour of lemieux is team roster. Oilers the only team to score 400 goals, which they did 5 times in a row. 1970-71 bruins had 399, and 1988-89 flames had 397. Oilers peaked at 446 in 83-84. Pens never had that kind of talent in 1980s and, had mediocre seasons in 91 and 92 (when they won the cup) plus their historic 17 wins straight started right when lemieux came back, so my vote goes to lemieux for #1 all time. Another 1up is how he had 10 years on everyone in early 00s and yet tore up the league

Well, he probably has the best stats but he has a starting goalie to back him up unlike the other candidates. If a Bruin is gonna win an award I think Bergeron should get the selke over couturier
nah, hellebuyck has 15 more starts, faced the most shots, had the most saves, and trails only him by .07 svs% among goalies with 40 starts. Rask had 41 and was backed up by halak. Meanwhile, brossoit was hella inconsistent, whilst helly had 2 more shutouts than anyone else, behind a shaky af defense. Rask was on the best team in the league by 8 points, and yet was 0-5 in shootouts. nhl is lying when saying boston gave up 167 ga cuz when u count shootouts, its 172. Still lowest count, but when its a goalie whose team would have missed the playoffs w/o him, and were bottom 10 in shots differential vs a goalie who can sit back, have reduced workload, behind a team whos top 10 in shots differential, ill go with helly

leafs: 13 cups to detroits 11, but 0 since 67...100+ in nhl and never broke 50 wins even once...last i sure og6 wings always lost to leafs in scf, but last i checked 12 < 53yrs
