Ozzie hands down, should be in the Hall of Fame. That being said all of the players mentioned in this vid should be in the Hall of Fame. I can't imagine what the folks with votes are thinking!
He has better numbers than Grant Fuhr and the knock against ozzy was him playing on a stacked team but what about Fuhr lol. If Fuhr is in the hall ozzy deserves a spot
Ozzie and Fuhr are not in the same conversation. Fuhr has so many career records still standing. Osgood has no records or career stats worth nothing and only finished top 3 in Vezina voting ONCE.
@@deathman6452 Ozzy should've won the Vezina in 96' for sure. He won 3 cups, 2 as a starter, then came so close to winning another in 09' against my Penguins. He was awesome in that playoff run, and he very easily could've won the Smythe in 08' as well. He has one of the greatest winning% in NHL history, and he's I know he played on great teams, but he was a part of them too. He was a fighter.. he was much maligned earlier in his career and no matter what he did later on could change it. TONS of goalies have ups and downs. Ozzie belongs in the Hall.

I feel like the not winning a Stanley Cup thing is kind of unfair. Winning a Stanley Cup depends more on being on the right team at the right time than anything else.
Every time I see turgeon’s stats I think “why the hell did the Sabres get rid of him” and then I remember we got pat lafontaine back and I feel a lot better
Osgood was good and not great. As a Detroit fan he was always solid, but a .905 save percentage behind that defence isn't fantastic. I personally never had a tonne of confidence in him. Lined him more as a backup
Didn't watch the video yet, but here's my list: Goalies: *Joseph* - He absolutely belongs. He made every team he went to better. He was one of the best in an era where Roy, Hasek, and Brodeur played! Lol He was right behind them, and they are possibly the 3 best goalies ever. (Maybe Dryden breaks up that top 3). *Chris Osgood* - He was a fighter and later in his career could've been called a "money goalie" !! He was below average those later years but played awesome in the playoffs. He was robbed of the Vezina in 96, and the Conn Smythe in 08' too. In 09 he came 🤏 < [this close] to winning a 3rd cup as a starter and he was fantastic for Detroit. He's got reg season numbers. He's got playoff stats. He's got cups... He 100% belongs. I always thought it was funny that what's keeping Joseph out basically is that "Well he didn't win a cup, even with Detroit" while what's keeping Osgood out is that "Well he won 3 cups and 2 as a starter, but that was with Detroit" !! Lmao 🤷♂️ It's hilarious. Others on my list: *Tim Thomas* 2 Vezinas, a cup, an amazing but short career, and a Conn Smythe. He was a legendary goalie for several years. I think that's enough if it was enough for Bill Durnan.. *Mike Vernon* probably the second best goalie of the 80's behind Fuhr. He was fantastic in winning two cups and a Conn Smythe. *Tom Barrasso* Forgotten about by many, but awesome in several seasons of his career, and average in others. Injuries hurt him later on too. One of the greatest stickhandling goalies ever, and huge in the Pens 2 cup wins. Add a Vezina as an 18 year old rookie out of high school hockey, and a Jennings his second year too. He struggled early to mid career-ish while his daughter battled cancer too.. but he rebounded. Forwards: *Alex Mogilny* I have a feeling next year he'll get in, but they should shut the place down in shame if he doesn't. He was better than Lanny McDonald and McDonald better be pulling for him to get in. *Theo Fleury* He was great imo. The fact that he was so good while battling substance abuse issues, after being molested as a young player, is pretty amazing.. He was 5' 6" too, a little guy that played BIG. He was very skilled and accomplished too! *Tim Kerr!!* What a GREAT goal scorer!! A broken leg, knee injuries, I think 13 surgeries on his shoulder, and his wife sadly passing away... it took all of that to destroy his career, and he still had a couple really good parts of seasons after all of that. He could've easily had 7+ straight 50 goal seasons.. dude was a beast. (If Neely is in.... why isn't Kerr?) *Pierre Turgeon* IDC if he was "soft" at times. The dude was SMOOTH as silk and has 500g, 800a, and 1300pts. Put him in. *Tkachuk, Roenick, Brind-Amour, and Brian Propp* should all get serious attention too. I feel like Tkachuk and Brind-Amour belong for sure. Maybe Steve Larmer too, but there has to be a line and maybe guys like Roenick, Nicholls, Larmer, Propp, etc just don't belong. I'm cool with that. That's all lol
Apples and oranges. Lindros career was hampered by and then cut short by concussions. I would expect alot of guys to have higher numbers because they played more.
There’s no question as to why Mogilny isn’t in because his best years were in Vancouver. That automatically seems to be a strike against any player. And to make Theo fleury’s journey more remarkable is he did it as a sexual abuse and assault survivor
Lack of a Stanley Cup should never even be considered in HOF voting. It's not like it's an individual award, It has never been won without a great team around you.
You could make a pretty good league of the guys not in the HOF Definitely baffling - guess it might be more challenging to say ‘who is in the HOF who shouldn’t be’ to either make room or lose their place ... always a tough call Interesting list and Fleury’s book is great Good channel ... subscribed ✅
Boris Mikhailov and Vladimir Krutov are not on the list for obvious reasons, but should be in as well. Same goes for some Czechoslovak greats who never played, or played too few games in the NHL (Martinec, Pospisil etc.).
The hall of fame is not my thing! Seeing guys like Larmer, Brind’Amour Osgood and Fleury not in but yet Lindros is in??? Lost a lot of respect for the HHOF! Great video! Maybe more of these will help the case of the players that deserve to be in!
Patrick Elias and Mogilny got Snubbed. St Louis got in last year, Elias won more cups, had better PPG totals, and head to head playoff matchup Elias outperformed him. IF Elias didn't get Hep C which changed his body completely, he would be easily in the 1200 career points club
I think the Hall of fame needs a pantheon of players. Legends, heroes and just really good players. Guys like those featured here would definitely fit this category.
Sadly the only thing keeping Fleury out is he burned all his bridges. He's since a changed man, and to put him in would be a great step to mending them! He's more than deserving!
Jeremy Roenick, Daniel Alfredsson and Bernie Nicholls deserve to get in as well, Roenick doesn't have any individual awards and wasn't very well liked but had solid stats, Alfredsson was one of the best steals of all time and great captain for the Sens and Nicholls had an incredible 150 point season. Dale Hunter and Pat Verbeek also had solid stats but won't get in because they were notorious pests.
peirre turgeon had a 1.03 points per game and is not in the hhof, ignila hada 0.84 points per game and is in the hof, but iginla did win 2 Rocket Richards,
Maybe unpopular opinion? I watched Chris Osgood play during his heyday from ~1998-2001 and then after Hasek and Joseph. Chris Osgood was never the best at his position - he was just very good at his position. He never won a Vezina, and his numbers were good, but not great (2.5 GAA and 90.5% SP) - and this was on a star studded lineup, at all times. Throughout his career noone ever mentioned him being in the HOF, it just seems people like to idealize now after their careers are over but make no mistake there were always 5 better goalies at any given point of his career than he was, and I think if you took his numbers and put them on most other teams, he would never be considered for the discussion. He knew how to make a timely save and play well under pressure, and he was the perfect goalie for the Red wings, and could be comparable to Grant Fuhr (who IS in the HOF), but I think it's Fuhr who's overrated and not Osgood being underrated.
Fuhr is likely the most overrated goalie of all time. His GAA was near 4 during his cup winning years. He had a team in front of him that just rolled over the opposition offensively. His high GAA was waved away with the remark, "he could make a timely save". That's really just a bunch of baloney without evidence to back it up. He did make some fantastic looking glove saves, but that was mostly flourish after the fact. Guess you need something to distract from your 4 goals a game on an .880 save ratio.
Like you said a stacked team is still shit without a Goalie that can steal you games sometime and Toronto Maple Leafs are currently in this problem, lots of named guys worth a lot of money up front, not the greatest blue-line, but Andersen won't steal the Leafs a Victory
My rule for pretty much every Hall: was the guy a top-5 player in the league for at least 5 years, or top-3 at his position for at least 10 years? Failing those measures, was he truly special for a short time due to injury?
My mistake, Steve Larmer did indeed win a cup later with the Rangers
Nyquist I don’t understand how you haven’t blown up more than you do. Easily the best hockey RUclipsr I know. Keep up the great vids man.
Saku Koivu
Daniel Alfredsson and Chris Phillips, Patrick Lalime, Steve Duchen,

I can't believe Mogilny isn't in the Hall already.
Was just thinking the same. I thought he was because his contribution to hockey.
Same here... unbelievable
As a devils fan even if you don’t think his place in history coming over here is enough. His stats are too good for him to continue being snubbed
Should have made it over Lowe this year
One of the biggest snubs ever imo.
Smh.. I'm thinking with Lundquist being the only first time eligible player next year... it could be his year. It really better be..
You should do start bench cut legend edition
Yesss
Forsberg
Lindros
The flash
Albin Kjellberg start selanne, bench forsberg and cut lindros
Theo’s book was amazing, dude was a beast, he held his own in that junior’s fight with the Russians as well.
Jere Lehtinen. Last winger to win the Selke, and did it 3 times
Too much focus is put on points. Listen to Bobby Clarke on TSN690, the award he really appreciated was winning the Selke near the end of his career.
Some other guys that should maybe be in the hall:
Daniel Alfredsson
Tom Barrasso
John Vanbiesbrouck
Mike Richter
Mike Vernon
Cujo
Dave Taylor
Rick Middleton

I think Dale Hunter also fits in with this group of hated players who deserve to be in the HOF.
I feel this could be shortened (corrected) down to:
1. Brind'Amour
2. Alfredsson
3. Osgood
4. Cujo
5. Turgeon
I still like the list though :)
Cujo has no chance, Luongo is more likely
Esa Tikkanen. He was the league's best 3rd line pest, won 5 Stanley Cups (four with Edmonton and one with the Rangers), and retired with over 130 career playoff points. He might not be the most talented player, but if Guy Carbonneau is in the hall because he's a character guy, then Tikkanen should be as well.

don’t forget john scott
Nick Mart dude I completely forgot the legend himself. What a beauty
Don’t forget David Ayres
@@donkey1151 and Manon Rhéaume
@@deathman6452 💩
Dude, I can’t believe they haven’t inducted Patrick Stefan yet
Love the list but think that Mogilny should have been #1.
There are a boat-load of players that should be in the HHOF. Here is the list below. Note that all the 1st group of players below, that all qualified before the Sedins, with the exception of Eric Stall, who still plays ……. This list is long.

Here are 3 players that are already in, but should not be anywhere near the HHOF, In point production, the 3 players below are embarrassing.

Cam Neely GP-726 G-395. A-299. Points - 694 He got nowhere near a Stanley
Clark Gillies. GP-958 G-319. A-378. Points - 697
curtis joseph is one of the best goalies of all time at his heights. No idea why he isn't in the HOF
LOVE the vids! keep up the good work!
I feel like the not winning a Stanley Cup thing is kind of unfair. Winning a Stanley Cup depends more on being on the right team at the right time than anything else.
I agree. It takes a team of great players to win a cup.
Every time I see turgeon’s stats I think “why the hell did the Sabres get rid of him” and then I remember we got pat lafontaine back and I feel a lot better
Well here question should enforcers be inducted or have a spot in the hall?
Claude lemieux and Patrice elias
*Patrik
Osgood was good and not great. As a Detroit fan he was always solid, but a .905 save percentage behind that defence isn't fantastic. I personally never had a tonne of confidence in him. Lined him more as a backup
Nice one, i want into HoF Brian Propp, Tim Kerr, Andy Moog, Tom Barrasso, Dale Hunter or Tie Domi, who gives fighters face.
Dale Hunter should be in. He has over 1,000 career points and tough as hell.
Mogilny, Datsyuk, Bondra, Tkachuk, Yashin, Amonte, Kamensky, Fleury, Adam Graves, Leclair, Brind'Amour, Friesen, Nolan, Koivu, Weight, Kovalev, Marleau, Juneau, Turgeon, Peca, Tikkanen , Lehtinen, Osgood, Elias, Draper, Maltby, Roenick, Desjardins, Damphousse, Sydor, Zamuner, Cassels, Guerin, Holik, Curtis Joseph, Claude Lemieux, Doug Brown, Iginla, Jagr, Giguère, Keith Primeau, Kevin Stevens, Whitney, Ron Hextall, Russ/Geoff Courtnall, Ozoliņš, Mellanby, Kozlov, Palffy, Vanbiesbrouck, Stumpel, Hejduk, Satan, Demitra.

You Should do a video about the worst Hockey Hall Of famers
- Nah, man. Because it is the *NHL* that video would simply be way to bloody long.
Didn't watch the video yet, but here's my list:
Goalies: *Joseph* - He absolutely belongs.
Lmao 🤷♂️
It's hilarious.
Forwards: *Alex Mogilny*
I have a feeling next year he'll get in, but they should shut the place down in shame if he doesn't.
(If Neely is in.... why isn't Kerr?)
*Pierre Turgeon* IDC if he was "soft" at times.
I watched the video. Lol.
Well done! I agree.
All these players that have been snubbed, have better stats than Lindros. Can add JR to the list.
Apples and oranges. Lindros career was hampered by and then cut short by concussions. I would expect alot of guys to have higher numbers because they played more.
Hey OhNyquist, could you pls do an NHL either 19 or 20 franchise Mode with the Red Wings? Would you consider that? Because people would enjoy that
U should do players in the hof without any major awards or Stanley cups
Mike Vernon, Jeremy Roenick, Curtis Joseph, Dale Hunter
Steve lamer won a cup in 1994 with the rangers
Do players that are in the hall of fame and that shouldn’t be
There’s no question as to why Mogilny isn’t in because his best years were in Vancouver. That automatically seems to be a strike against any player. And to make Theo fleury’s journey more remarkable is he did it as a sexual abuse and assault survivor
You should rank all the number 1 overall draft picks? Maybe a decade per vid??
Lack of a Stanley Cup should never even be considered in HOF voting. It's not like it's an individual award, It has never been won without a great team around you.
Cups do count, they are more valuable than ever with 30+ teams
Maurice Richard they do, but that shouldn’t stop players who were great players on not so great teams.
How about Patrik Elias?
Good video you are doing so good RN
You could make a pretty good league of the guys not in the HOF
Definitely baffling - guess it might be more challenging to say ‘who is in the HOF who shouldn’t be’ to either make room or lose their place ... always a tough call
Interesting list and Fleury’s book is great
Good channel ... subscribed ✅
What's really baffling is why haven't the Calgary Lames retired Theo's #14. They won't let anyone else wear it but they won't retire it either.
Boris Mikhailov and Vladimir Krutov are not on the list for obvious reasons, but should be in as well. Same goes for some Czechoslovak greats who never played, or played too few games in the NHL (Martinec, Pospisil etc.).
Great list! For sure the top 4 should be in the hall and the others you at least have a legit argument.
Saw Osgood Saturday at the mall. Doesn't live too far away from where I'm at
I think the old boys club won't vote Turgeon in because he sat on the bench in Piestany
Damphousse
Neal Broten a champion at all levels.
Sadly the only thing keeping Fleury out is he burned all his bridges.
He's since a changed man, and to put him in would be a great step to mending them! He's more than deserving!
He’s a right wing nut
Curtis Joseph and Bernie Nicholls need to be in the HOF
I have no problem with that.
You should do a video on the worst all star selections
I'd like to see a video about players in the hall of fame who maaaaaaybeeee shouldn't be, or that at least seem surprising.
peirre turgeon had a 1.03 points per game and is not in the hhof, ignila hada 0.84 points per game and is in the hof, but iginla did win 2 Rocket Richards,
Your the best hockey youtuber
What’s the name of the podcast you mentioned?
Hi nyquist
Aint down with Turgeon cause he backed down in the Brawl at the World juniors.
This needs a update
Should do best player at every age
can you do card breaks or show us your collection?
At this point, Brindy should make it this upcoming year
Like you said a stacked team is still shit without a Goalie that can steal you games sometime and Toronto Maple Leafs are currently in this problem, lots of named guys worth a lot of money up front, not the greatest blue-line, but Andersen won't steal the Leafs a Victory
Do you think lecavialle and St. Louis will make it
expected to see Claude Lemieux. Nobody from you list has been play-offs MVP or has four Stanley Cups on their resume.
Hockey hall of fame is supposed to use hockey players careers even outside the nhl including international play olympics and world cups
What do yo think about Daniel Alfredsson?
I'd say Sergie Gonchar was missed, but Osgood should be in for sure
My rule for pretty much every Hall: was the guy a top-5 player in the league for at least 5 years, or top-3 at his position for at least 10 years? Failing those measures, was he truly special for a short time due to injury?
no love for roenick, huh? doug weight and john leclair also come to mind
With all the things Theo said about the NHL, He will never get in
And he shouldnt, dude was a scumbag coke addict
J.C. Tremblay and Peter Mahovlich
