Signals is the shit.. front to back. The soaring ethereal chorus is one of their signature moves, and this song epitomize is it

I can still remember the first impressions of hearing this album,and it’s different direction after Moving pictures.Wasn’t totally sure about it,for about two plays,then I got it.Then went to every show on their uk Signals tour,with some front row seats too!
Another killer song, and more relatable lyrics. It captures the angst of a youth who is torn between the magic of the wide world, and the comfort and familiarity of home.
I have to say I love your reactions to my favorite band of all time. It is so nice to see someone feel Rush like I do.

Neil perfectly captures all the potential and excitement of being a young kid with everything ahead of them - so many new experiences, all pouring in like a torrent...pure magic. Lot of tracks on Signals have such a nostalgic feel to them, maybe that's why it resonates so well. Just epic. Love, love, love it! 😍🎼😎

Analog Kid is one of my gamer tags ;) because im a huge rush fan & old lol I remember when everything was analog!
This for me is philosophically their deepest album in terms of real life - I much prefer these kind of lyrics to the sci-fi stuff from the earlier albums. But don't get me wrong - I love the music from those earlier albums.
Even though this is a great song it only ranks 4th on the album for me behind 1 - Subdivisions 2 - Countdown 3 - Losing It

Man! Geddy’s boogie-like style is so awesome!!! This album features a perfect blend of ethereal synth and traditionally power metal.
I really enjoy your Rush reaction videos… especially that your intent is to chronologically move through their entire library. I’ve musically grown up with Rush since I saw them in Cleveland in ‘76 and have had them as a main part of my life’s soundtrack since. Always great to see another musician with a full understanding of what they’re listening to and the impact on them. Keep up the great vids! LOTS more great stuff (and eras) to come!!
