I love it. For me, from 2112 all the way up to Signals, all 10/10s and Signals has a special place in my heart.

@@DiegoDeschain Well Diego... Hemispheres is the one for me... but there´s no Rush album I don´t love

    • @DiegoDeschain
      @DiegoDeschain 5 лет назад

@@arturofregosofregoso2983 I love Hemispheres as well. I didn't mean to sound like Signals was my favorite of the bunch, just that I have a particular love for the way it sounds, even if it differs from the classics. If I really had to pick a favorite I'd be hard-pressed choosing between Farewell, Hemis, Permanent and Moving.

@@DiegoDeschain I understand you. Difficult to pick a definitive favorite Rush album, the band is like good wine: comes better with age. I am the youngest of 5 children; in 1975 (I was 10) my elder´s sister boyfriend introduced me to Fly By Night, and... I Couldn't believe it , became my favorite (of course I spent my "domingos" (money Papa gave me every Sunday & my birthday "cash" to buy the debut album Rush) but, then came 2112, I changed my mind. Now I´m 54 & Hemispheres tells me things it didn't told me back in 1978. Most Rush fans divide the band in stages (All the World's a Stage?). But as, let´s say, Genesis (drummers came & went: Silver, Mayhew, Collins, Bruford, Thompson etc, as well as other members) I exit stages (Exit...Stage Left). Bands and fans have stages, It's evolving. The main point is you enjoy Rush. We share that. By the Way: Signals is a very important album in my feelings: just Love it.
      Greetings from México.

At first I didn't like it much. A big change from Moving Pictures but the more you listen to it the more it grows on you. An interesting transition album for them.

Been a big RUSH fan all my life, and this is my favorite song. This song was the first song i ever heard with Rush, and it instantly blew me away. There is a depth and sound to this song that gets to me every time. The guitar solo by Alex in the middle part must be the best solos ever produced in a rock song. And the vocals by Geddy when he gets those high tones in the end.....And Neils drumming is as always totally amazing. Signals, Power Windows & Grace Under Pressure are my top 3 favorite albums. Love these and the early ones. From Presto and forward they took a different path in music, and i still prefer their synth/rock era the most. R.I.P Neil and thank you for all amazing memories during my childhood. Keep drumming in heaven! RUSH for life.

I'm experiencing mixed feelings right now. On the one hand, I'm so saddened to hear of the loss of your beautiful son, but uplifted by how you share your love of music and honor him. I'm also saddened by the loss of Neil Peart while listening to this song, but happy to celebrate one of Rush's best songs with you. ❤

I've seen all your reaction videos for Rush, and Kel's reaction is always priceless. Kel and Rich, you two are a power couple listening to the Power Trio of Prog Rock, and that makes me happy!!
If y'all haven't already, some more 80's Rush songs I want to request are Marathon, Digital Man, The Camera Eye, Big Money, Distant Early Warning, Mystic Rhythms, Time Stand Still...
Just so many to choose from this era of Rush.

Hearing these songs that I've heard literally a thousand times sounds so new and fresh trying to hear them again from a fresh set of ears. I was 12 in 1982 when this album was released and remember clearly listening to it non-stop for months slowing the record down and speeding it up trying to learn the drum parts. These guys have given me memories that can never recede or fail to bring me back to the times in which they were first released. Nice pick! :)

When you decide to listen to The Garden you may want to have tissues near by. Between the feel of the music and the lyrics you may cry, especially hearing that you've lost a child. I don't have any children but my dogs are my children and when I heard The Garden I immediately thought of the dog I just lost less than a month earlier and I broke down listening to this song. It's my go to song of Rush when I want to remember all of the dogs I've ever had. Just be forewarned!

Great reaction!! Indeed, one of the many, many amazing Rush songs! Loved this song from day 1. I'm in the camp that all Rush is awesome. Love each era for their own reasons. If I want my 'prog' fix, then I listen to Fly By Night thru to Permanent Waves. If I want my dose of synth glory, then Moving Pictures thru Hold Your Fire, etc. Really cannot, and will not say which is better...that's like naming a favourite child - there are some I like more on a given day, but it all evens out in the end!! Keep it up guys!

Rush has been my long time favorite band since I graduated from Kiss, to a phase of glam-metal and then discovered Rush along the same time. Seen them more than a dozen times and the only disappointing one was due to arena acoustics. A shame they've called it a career but, thankful I got to see them as often as I have AND, got to share their last tour with my concert-wife who had never seen them before and was blown away.
Now for suggestions, I have but three:
    1) If you're going to do more Rush, check out "Natural Science" particularly live. A song that seriously demonstrates their musicality.
    2) For something heavy with a groove, a band that's been around for awhile yet seems to float a bit below the radar. Byzantine's "New Ways to Bear Witness". Progressive, thrash groove with an awesome lyrics to match. You will love this!
    3) For complete shock factor for Kel, Avenged Sevenfold's "Little Piece of Heaven". It's a love song ... that also contains murder, necrophilia, cannibalism, zombies, oh ... and a wedding. Her face expressions should be priceless
    4) Okay, I lied, there's a fourth ... another I'd be curious to see Kel's reaction to ... Slipknot's "The Devil In I"
Love your channel! Keep up the excellent reactions!!

I got into Rush with Moving Pictures and also loved Signals. I saw that concert. I was 13. This lead me to their 70s back catalogue, which spoke to my nerdy, sci fi, fantasy loving self. I pretty much ignored their 80s output. I liked the Police, but I didn't need to hear Rush doing the Police. It wasn't till a few years ago that I revisited all of Rush and decided actually I like the 80s era almost as much as 70s Rush. And their output in the 90s and 00s is pretty great as well. They did not stagnate and with every album challenged their fans to keep up. I caught up but it took me a while.

Kel, I used to listen to the on the way home from my GF's house every night and used my hair brush on the steering wheel as a drum stick....tore that sucker up! Plus, my bass pedal foot wore out the floor liner.

#Rush The Garden, Nick, Utah USA. I love this song so much, I would love to see what you guys think of the end of Rush's beautiful career. I personally love Analog Kid, it is such a great song! I love all Rush, every era offers something different but still rooted in incredible music and lyrics.

Love watching Kel's reactions to some good music, very expressive in her responses. There is a tone of music yet for the two of you to explore on your channel but for now let's stick with Rush. Check out "No One at the Bridge" from the the epic "Fountain of Lamneth" off of the album Caress of Steel. Fountain of Lamneth is awesome, maybe make for another good driving reaction due to the song's length.
