If you remember cotton said he found dewey. Whatever he did helped save him from bleeding out till someone was able to get him. So cotton is kind of the hero of this movie

Fun tip. This movie got half its script leaked which invovled the killer reveals, which was the roommate, boyfriend AND Mickey, then Cotton tries to kill Sidney to get her fame. They had to re-write scenes and were filmed the very same day. Props to them for still making a competently cohesive film with that kind of pressure

You’re half right. The killers were Derek Hallie and Mrs. Loomis. Cotton saves the day initially but then her and Sidney get In a fight where it ends with them both seemingly dead. Mickey was not the original killer.
Its great when you go back and watch, seeing Randy only dies after he insults Billy Loomis and gets stabbed way more than any other victim. Easy to figure out who was under the mask for that kill.

Agreed, even if 3 is the weakest, it’s still fun. And it lets you do so much when you have the whole movie within a movie aspect like with the stab movies.
Fun Facts: 1. Kevin Williamson has gone on record saying that he regrets killing Randy, since he had no idea how successful the franchise would become. 2. During Gale’s chase scene in the studio, you can hear Mrs. Loomis’s grunts when Ghostface stumbles around. You can even hear a fierce feminine growl when she “kills” Dewey.
Randy's death was a brutal shocker in the movie theatre. It conveyed to the audience: There is no main cast with plot armor here. Well, but then it turned into a sequelised franchise and you knew Sidney, Gale and Dewey were always safe. It is absolutely ridiculous that little girl Amber managed to double-gut Dewey in Scream 5, a man more than a foot taller and stronger than her.
Maureen crying and screaming in agony, all those people, dressed like the killer, laughing and cheering because they think it's part of the show, and then the sudden realisation that it's not, and that she is really dying... Best Scream opening ever, so harrowing... 😮

Original opening is still the best. The subverting of expectations by killing Drew Barrymore, the chilling way the phone conversation with the killer becomes threatening, the mother’s scream seeing Drew’s body hanging from a tree with her guts out… THATS how you get a franchise started
Dewey's "theme" music is by Hans Zimmer, from the movie Broken Arrow. They were using the track as a placeholder, but couldn't come up with anything better, so they paid to leave it in. He's one of the best characters in the franchise, and I love that they gave him such epic music.
There is an episode of FRIENDS in Season 6 after they got married. During the opening credits every actor's name had "Arquette" added xD poking fun at Courtney's double last name "Cox Arquette".
The Scream franchise has always been very self-aware of what it is and has never been afraid to poke fun at it. And can still deliver a clever murder mystery all in one film. Its probably why they get so many sequels.

The great thing about the Scream movies, is that they are horror movies, but they are also meta commentary on horror movies and their tropes. They're great movies that also allow Wes Craven to make commentaries about the genre.
That opening sequence was fantastic! It’s horrific the fact that something so dark could happen and people would think it’s a joke or marketing stunt at first. What a way to set the tone!
I saw this in the theaters when I was 12 years old, and I bruised my big toe from kicking the seat in front of me in anger when Randy was killed. I'll never forget lol. Forever Randy! 🙏😅

When you’ll watch Scream III, knowing what we know today about some big producers, directors, you’ll get all the double entendre and things left unsaid for years in the movie business.
Had no business seeing this at 10 yrs old but I remember I got upset/angry that Randy got taken. It kinda took my scare out of me and was cheering for everyone and anyone to take out the killer 😂
FUN FACT dude that played the camera man told wes craven he wanted to just leave craven was like what do you mean he said I just quit and get in a cab and leave the movie and wes laughed and agreed so that's why he left the way he did lol pretty funny
The fact that he then came back when it was over and w as s able to just pick up his camera and merge into the post-dead-killer press gaggle was fantastic.

Mrs Loomis was always speaking on the phone. She was also the one who killed Randy, chased Gale and attacked Dewey in the university and killed Randy. Mickey killed Phil and Maureen, Cici, the cops and Hallie.

The best thing about this franchise is the unique "who is it" element that you don't get with any other major horror series! It makes you do paranoid, makes you second-guess or even triple-guess your theories and make you go slightly mad with all the ideas of who the killer could be! I am so happy you brought up the current time that film wasmade and what was going on as far as with Mickey and his motive. People watch this nowadays and just think it's the most stupid motive where during the time it was made, it made sense. People were blaming parents, music, video games, movies, television, and many things to give excuses on why people were violent. And OJ was a VERY televised trial several years prior. I can even remember us actually watching the verdict while in class, think it was my 7th grade year
I have mixed memories with these Scream movies. I love them now and I have great memories with these. My sister had a big collection of horror movies on vhs when we were growing up and we would watch them all the time together. The downside is I was definitely too young when I first watched them so I spent a good few years freaked out. 😅
Love 6! I feel like it brought back how intense and scary the first two were when they originally came out. And it felt fresh with new scenery and new characters.
You know, this is probably the 100th reaction to this movie I've watched and people never seem to understand why the cop doesn't immediately shoot the killer in the car. It's pretty simple. He can't shoot for risk of hitting Sidney or her friend. He tells them to get down but the whole scene they don't actually do so.
It's the perfect sequel. Even the flip on the opening, going from the opening kill being in a secluded house to this opening kill being in a room full of people.
I hope you both keep watching them. The 4th is a really good sequel and I loved both 5 and 6 as well. 3 isn’t the strongest sequel but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth watching.
Also since the creepy film student videos everyone that was pocket of the killer’s strategy. Also playing with a lot of the trivia from the 1st one made this genius. Great reaction!! Can’t wait for next one!

Derek is probably the most overlooked, underrated character in this whole franchise- this guy was amazing! He took on Ghostface by himself and lived to tell the tale, he respected Sid's boundaries but wasn't afraid to push back on her when he knew she was wrong (being alone is not the answer Sid- he was right!) and the cafeteria scene- if ur not completely on his side after that then IDK what to tell ya cuz that's gotta be the most romantic scene in a non-romance film ever put to screen. Derek's declaration of love (his greek letters) also led to Sidney's most badass moment ever (I fking killed him- WHACK!🤣) Scream 2 is top 10 for me, easily my favorite in the franchise!
The scene where Sydney is practicing the stage play and Ghostface pops up, he’s really there. It’s quick and small but you can see him run off stage when the director yells cut

scream is my favorite movie. this is my favorite franchise, i’m so happy you guys are watching this. scream 2 is a pretty effective sequel and an awesome movie, but as scream ultimately makes fun of horror movies the fact that there is five after the original it’s pretty funny, due to a common gripe with horror being sequels lol

When you’ll watch Scream III, knowing what we know today about some big producers, directors, you’ll get all the double entendre and things left unsaid for years in the movie business.
Had no business seeing this at 10 yrs old but I remember I got upset/angry that Randy got taken. It kinda took my scare out of me and was cheering for everyone and anyone to take out the killer 😂
FUN FACT dude that played the camera man told wes craven he wanted to just leave craven was like what do you mean he said I just quit and get in a cab and leave the movie and wes laughed and agreed so that's why he left the way he did lol pretty funny
The fact that he then came back when it was over and w as s able to just pick up his camera and merge into the post-dead-killer press gaggle was fantastic.

You guys are the only react channel I watch now. I just love how you actually go into depth about things like the acting, directing, lighting and sound etc. You also seems to give every movie a decent chance even if other people don't really like them. It's hard to watch react channels when they end up just crapping all over a movie you like. From what I've seen, you guys point out things you dislike about a movie but also include some positives. That really makes a difference. Anyway, great reaction for this one! Can't wait to see you react to Scream 3.
The best thing about this franchise is the unique "who is it" element that you don't get with any other major horror series! It makes you do paranoid, makes you second-guess or even triple-guess your theories and make you go slightly mad with all the ideas of who the killer could be!

I am so happy you brought up the current time that film wasmade and what was going on as far as with Mickey and his motive. People watch this nowadays and just think it's the most stupid motive where during the time it was made, it made sense. People were blaming parents, music, video games, movies, television, and many things to give excuses on why people were violent. And OJ was a VERY televised trial several years prior. I can even remember us actually watching the verdict while in class, think it was my 7th grade year
I have mixed memories with these Scream movies. I love them now and I have great memories with these. My sister had a big collection of horror movies on vhs when we were growing up and we would watch them all the time together. The downside is I was definitely too young when I first watched them so I spent a good few years freaked out. 😅
SCREAM 6 IS ACTUALLY MY FAV, BUT SCREAM 4 HAS THE BEST INTRO.
Love 6! I feel like it brought back how intense and scary the first two were when they originally came out. And it felt fresh with new scenery and new characters.
The 4 intro was so annoying!

You know, this is probably the 100th reaction to this movie I've watched and people never seem to understand why the cop doesn't immediately shoot the killer in the car. It's pretty simple. He can't shoot for risk of hitting Sidney or her friend. He tells them to get down but the whole scene they don't actually do so.

It's the perfect sequel. Even the flip on the opening, going from the opening kill being in a secluded house to this opening kill being in a room full of people.

I've seen all six of these movies, and the knife through the ear THROUGH the bathroom stall remains the MOST chilling to this day.
Derek is probably the most overlooked, underrated character in this whole franchise- this guy was amazing! He took on Ghostface by himself and lived to tell the tale, he respected Sid's boundaries but wasn't afraid to push back on her when he knew she was wrong (being alone is not the answer Sid- he was right!) and the cafeteria scene- if ur not completely on his side after that then IDK what to tell ya cuz that's gotta be the most romantic scene in a non-romance film ever put to screen. Derek's declaration of love (his greek letters) also led to Sidney's most badass moment ever (I fking killed him- WHACK!🤣) Scream 2 is top 10 for me, easily my favorite in the franchise!

The scene where Sydney is practicing the stage play and Ghostface pops up, he’s really there. It’s quick and small but you can see him run off stage when the director yells cut

scream is my favorite movie. this is my favorite franchise, i’m so happy you guys are watching this. scream 2 is a pretty effective sequel and an awesome movie, but as scream ultimately makes fun of horror movies the fact that there is five after the original it’s pretty funny, due to a common gripe with horror being sequels lol
