THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
For the past 20 years of my life, Darth Vader has always seemed slow and clunky, he never felt as powerful as he's supposed to be. I know they try to portray that in the comics, games and books, but it never did Vader Justice. In one scene not even a minute long though, Vader became terrifying.
Adobi-Wan Kenobi I agree I had nightmare's
Adobi-Wan Kenobi
After watching, my friend ask why didn't Darth Vader used force lightning at that scene.. well i answer that he is prbly mostly melee combat orientated than sorcery... what is yoy opinion?
Adobi-Wan Kenobi
After watching, my friend ask why didn't Darth Vader used force lightning at that scene.. well i answer that he is prbly mostly melee combat orientated than sorcery... what is yoy opinion?
ad87 really? Force Lightning generally requires real hands to create. If Vader was to use it, he'd likely short out his suit and cybernetics. It's more of a liability to him than an asset.
Adobi-Wan Kenobi I couldn't have said it better Myself, thats exactly what I was thinking
Who else didn't like the fact that Darth Vader...
Had his light saber 2 centimeters to the right on his waste, where as in the original trilogy, it was 2 more centimeters to the left. Fuck Disney, they're ruining everything.
Gaming with George "wyaah disneyy waaaah"
It's annoying aand funny how you people absolutely complain about something without seeing it properly. None of the lightsabers in the original trilogy had any consistent size especially not in new hope.
It was thin as toothpick ones, long as pole other times, and even broad as a claymore couple times.
Most importantly Lucasfilm have complete control over their fola, not any disney studio. And they're heavily basing their recent works on Ralph Mcquarrie designs (even this video lampshades it).
Quit crying about disney it's annoying as shit even though I have no reason to like or dislike them. Star Wars was never a perfect franchise to begin with that any micro amount of changes ruin anything.
Gaming with George who the fuck cares😂
^^^^^
When people don't think
Gaming with George bro you scare the s**t out of me XD
Sharil Shahed he's making a joke lmao. Quite crying over it
Rogue one is my favorite now, for the darth vader scene alone. So raw, so brutal, so much better than Force Awakens
John Graham i went to watch the movie last week but i can remember that scene very clearly. Thats the reason Kylo practically worships his grandfather!
That entire scene is better then whole TFA put together. Kylos gotta better A LOT better if im gonna enjoy the transition back to Kylo.
It's funny that, compared to The Force Awakens, this movie does not "spit" on the prequels, but instead use them along with the original trilogy which ends up being one of the best Star Wars movie! Ha and Rogue One actually does new stuff and try new things, wich The Force Awakens lacks cruelly! I think this is what makes Rogue One so good!
well to be fair, it is a stand alone movie. it's supposed to be good as it's own. TFA is part 1 of 3 in a series of movies :)
a new hope isn't as exciting if you don't get Empire strikes back too either :)
Ishmagish M the force awaken is clearly not a star wars
Let me know how many Easter Eggs you spotted! Posting new *Flash vs Iris West* and *Game Of Thrones* tomorrow :)
I saw a droid of Choppers kind (Star Wars Rebels), I spotted CP-3O and Artoo, and I spotted The Ghost from Star Wars Rebels. That's pretty much it I think.
Emergency Awesome Liked, Subbed and commented! :) YOU'RE MY FAVORITE CHANNEL
Emergency Awesome keep on rocken and good job on the video
Great video
Emergency Awesome do flash vs iris west please because this is my fave show
The stormtroopers were talking about how the T-15s were obsolete now. That's the hyperdrive on the Millenium Falcon.
Nic Wilson There's also a conversation between some first order stromtroopers about the same "T models" in TFA
Nic Wilson deep cut... awesome!!
Nic Wilson I may be wrong but aren't the two stormtroopers in the tractor beam scene talking about 'the new t-16' before Obi-wan distracts them. might be a reference to that.
Nic Wilson it's actually the t-15 skyhopper
No its called the BT-15 and its a reference to the stormtroopers in Ep 4 talking about the BT-16 being quite a sight to see and in TFA you hear 2 First Order Troopers talking about how the BT-17 is a real lettdown :)
"Darth Vader is better when he's not talking"
*Thinks of scene where Anakin mentions that he doesn't like sand*
I think he's right.
Look at Hayden in episode 2 when he's not speaking. When he is watching his mother die, for instance. Hayden's not a terrible actor (sure he's not the greatest of all time). And look at him when he's become Vader in episode 3.
Did anyone else shout NO at the screen when Bail said he had to go back to alderaan
UnknownJedi I looked at my friend and I said "rip" when that happened
UnknownJedi Yeah it was so sad
Damn I felt a shiver but I wasn't present there to tell him. Boy for once wished I were I Barry who fu**cough**s with timelines (or in this case, Galaxies or universes)
UnknownJedi I laughed for like five minutes straight
i did too!
I don't know if I'm in the majority but I liked rogue one a lot better than episode 7
Alex N I'm with you. Was way better.
Alex N me too
Alex N my opinion
Ep. 7: a+
Rogue one: a-
I give them:
Rogue One: 9/10.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens: 7/10.
It was a more well crafted movie. And it was more successful at what it set out to do. Force Awakens was a lot more ambitious and ended up being cool but not as awesome as it could have been.
The clone wars are cannon so the dark saber is cannon.
Spelt "canon" but yes you're right
Tim Fountain but the black saber isn't
Ninjapro98 yes it is because it's in the clone wars
Tim Fountain no clone wars aren't canon anymore- Lucas scrapped it and now it's apart of the expanded universe
BLUCIAN OCE since when??
I am one with the force and the force is with me
Hero of light I am groot! I am groot.
Hero of light Are you kidding me?! I'm blind!
Gaz Fives hahaha ha I just remembered the scene where they try to wear the blind guy something to cover his head and his is like are you kidding me????? I'M BLIND.
I haven't cracked up as much as I did when that was said, in a long time.
SPOILS
Darth vader made Kylo Ren look like an ever bigger bitch with that last scene. Sure, Kylo held a blaster shot in mid air, but Vader straight up caught one of those fuckers in his hand and returned to sender.
He deflected it like every time
awsomeboxhead Kinda the point though. Kylo Ren was never meant to be as powerful as Vader in The Force Awakens. Maybe in Episode 8 they'll make him super skilled and powerful, but all depends.
It was made clear in the movie that Kylo is a rookie. He is not fully trained, he is having major internal conflict, he has never fought Jedis before and therefore inexperienced etc. It is called character development.
Am I the only one that saw him use the force to hold up that rebel on the ceiling and cut that guys stomach open? I was like 'OMG!!!'. Talking about Darth Vader in Rogue One btw.
awsomeboxhead
I was hoping like Vader try to force pull that ship when it try to get away hahaha..
personally i thought that them bringing back tarkin was a great nod to him and his importance in the empire. He was a great leader, and tragic that he died yes, but in the case of rogue one an integral part of the story.
Anyone else stay after the credits like an idiot?
Almost. But no.
Valar Morghulis I wouldn't say idiot you pay for it you want the whole experience I guess lol
Valar Morghulis Was there an end credits scene?
Imagine if after the credits, Episode 4 in it's entirety just starts playing.
No end credits scene :(
This movie was so good that at the end, everyone in the theater (including me) started clapping.
Ben N At the theatre I watched, there were only 6 or 7 people in the morning show. At the end when I clapped because I was so overcome with feels, everyone started looking at me weirdly. How can they understand a true Star Wars fan? Bloody noobs.
Ben N we did the same thing in our theater.........
Nemo 2003 Its not natural to clap and talk in a movie where I live
Ben N I've seen that happen a lot at the end of films, first time I ever saw it was avatar. But sadly not in Rogue One, as there was only 20 people in the small independent screening and I'm sure anyone would have found it weird
Everyone was clapping throughout the film where I watched it
i like that K2 is 'having a bad feeling about this' lol
God the last minutes of the movie was amazing
Mirko Žaja Yes it was so amazing
Mirko Žaja RIGHT!!!! I basically had a NERDgasm
Mirko Žaja Yeah. So amazing!! Loved the whole movie 10/10
oath
Mirko Žaja I'm now scared of Darth Vader because of that ending
I still can't get over the end scene so intense.
Was good to see a certain guy in action again
Someone when full The Raid on those rebels
Anirban Biswas Vader was awesome. Just wish he executed Krennik instead of letting the Death Star kill him
Nah, it was more poetic to have Krennik killed off by his own weapon.
^this. To have Krennic look up, see the Death Star above Scarif and that little look he does, as he knows whats about to happen is perfect.
Just watched Rogue One on Christmas day. AWESOME.
the only thing that I found weird was the CGI in Leia's face
Omar Rivas Bustinza that looked horrible
CGI was not horrible.
It was great.
If you want horrible CGI watch SYFY.
I thought she looked great and Peter Cushing looked awful. He looked like an XBox cutscene.
all the other CGI was good but the shot of her at the end was bad
The PC CGI worked because he was always a little odd looking to start with. Leia managed to land hard in the uncanny valley. I'm glad it was only for a few seconds we saw her.
The movie was so much better than what I expected. I loved the characters, the cast and the story. It felt like a proper SW movie and although I liked the characters and cast from SW 7, I think this is a better movie overall.
I did not mind seeing Grand Moff Tarkin because his role fit quite nicely in the movie and showed the power struggle within the empire. It is difficult to choose a favorite character. K-2SO is very high on my list, as is the Chirrut Îmwe - Baze Malbus duo. But really, I liked all of them.
The surprise of the year for me, followed closely by 2 animated films 1. Kubo and the Two Strings and 2. Moana
cartoon80s90s I loved it too!!! So good
cartoon80s90s Lol I think you're caught up in the hype. This movie has SERIOUS pacing issues for the first 2 hours. Yeah the third act was awesome but the first 2 acts were totally boring
All-things-Nerd Lol well thats your opinion. I liked all of it
Eemeli Kuusela Nah dude if a movie has pacing issues, then it has pacing issues. That's a fact. Can't deny that. The Disney Hype Machine strikes again! lol
cartoon80s90s agreed fully
Rip Carrie Fisher
1.Dejarik action figures where spotted on Saw Gerrera's base
2.Bail Organa also mentioned Raymus Antilles
3.C3PO and R2D2 cameo
4.Twi'Lek Slave Dancer hologram being watched by the Rebels
5.Vader use the force choke on Krennic similar to Admiral Conan Antonio Motti
6. David Ankrum as Wedge Antilles returns as a vocal cameo
7. Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman director and producer for Episode 8 have a cameo as two Death Star techicians
These are ones I caught I'm definitely going to watch it again I might have missed a few.
Why would it be "weird" to have digital Tarkin? Cushing has been dead for decades; it is not like Cushing just died in the last few years. A digital Spock prime in Star Trek Beyond would have been creepy as Nimoy just died last year.
Well just remake all the Hammer Horror movies again.
Brian C They did bring back the fast and furious guy
Darth Vader ripping up the rebels at the end of the movie was absolutely one of the best scenes from anything Star Wars-related. It was what everyone wanted to see Vader do because he was so subdued throughout 4,5 and 6, even the battles with Luke weren't super action-packed. Don't get me wrong, they were great, they were what was needed but the asskicking ability of Darth Vader was shown in that last scene in Rogue One. More scenes like that are wanted! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Maybe the Force be with you all!
did anyone else get teary eyed in some parts
No.
It was an emotional roller coaster for me
I shed a tear when Donnie Yen's character died.
Yes sooo honerable. And some of the sacrifices they did to have episode 4 say that people died for these plans
My girlfriend did when the father died.
I can't be the only one who saw the planetary shield with a single opening on Scarif as a nod to 'Spaceballs'.
it would have been awesome to see what code they transmitted. If it was the same as my luggage I would have lost it.
Obsidius it would have been hilarious if they had hacked in instead and the code ended up being 12345.
Let's start a chain!
I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me.
nah
The force is one with me and I'm one with force.
I am one with the Force and the Force is with me.
The force is the one, and the one force is is.
'There is no such thing as a Dark saber in cannon now' well dude it is in Clone Wars and Rebles m you even showed them!!!
Karston James yeah that anoyed me when he said that
Conall Balfe 😉
He didn't say that. He said "there is no such thing as BLACK saber in the Star Wars Universe right now".
ROArecords2 he also said it would be great to see it in cannon.
Black not dark
Also 3P0 & Artoo!
TheyMightBeBricks three seepio
Paora simon C3PO......
Yeah, that was the only cameo that felt forced and wedged in as an after thought.
Brian C Not really. they were seen in the scene when they were getting captain antilles ship ready (he is paged on the PA) and according to the end of episode 3, the droids were given to captain antilles. plus they are in the beginning of 4, on captain Antilles ship. it was crutial to show them there if u want Rogue One to flow into A New Hope.
Tammy Gordin yeah, yeah it was forced in
The Grand Moff Tarkin scenes literally blew me away. My mouth was just wide open every time he was on screen.
"Don't choke on your ambitions Director Krenic."
Forgot how to spell his name! Thank you for existing Emergency Awesome
That vader dialogue was the only part I thought could have been better. I like Vader more when he talks less. But still very very cool!
Emergency Awesome it was a little sad to hear James Earl Jones's voice sounding less robust than it used to. For that reason alone they should have given him fewer, more poignant lines. Other than that (and as an original fan, my difficulty with the amount of CGI face time) it was a really awesome Star Wars Movie! Need to see it several more times.
Black-saber was not a reference to the Darksaber. In the Rogue One Novel, it's just another project connected to the Death Star.
She spoke sternly, demanding Cassian's attention as she read from the screen. "Project code names: Stellarsphere. Mark Omega. Pax Aurora..."
Were all of them weapons like the Death Star, designed for terror and
genocide? Had her father known about the others? She couldn't afford to
think about it - there were too many horrors down that road. "War-Mantle. Cluster-Prism. Black-Saber." [...]
"Stardust,"
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - Official Novelization Chapter 19
Donnie Yen was soo good in this movie
TheGamerTeo the force is with me im with the force
oOLegitTurtleOo Im with the force the force it with me
+Thegamerteo "The force is with me, Im one with the force" Then baze says it near the end with his cool heavy repeating blaster.
K2SO says "I have a bad feeling about this" when they enter in the building on Scarif !!!! this sentence is in all the Star Wars movies !!! ;)
Wait, Vader built his temple on the same planet Obi-Wan almost killed him? Was it so he could continue to blame Obi-Wan for all his problems and whine more?
He is still holding him back.
He NEVER believed in him!
Tomnickles it's to serve as a reminder so he can remember his biggest failing and to keep strong in the dark side due to his hate for obi wan
Plus it looks mean and intimidating as fuck. Fitting for a sith lord
Vader believes that is where Anakin died and he was born. It is a dark planet, he draws strength from it.
"It's Sindoooola, not Sindelahh" - Hermione Granger
I was playing farmville but this one player keeps fisting my grass
DankMemes420 was it the legend27
Rocksword100 Gaming who's thelegend27?
DankMemes420 Some say he was the first Farmville player ever...
DankMemes420 i've heard that thelegend27 can harvest his crops faster then a tractor
Is it the farmer27?
I love the fact it ended at the beginning on a new hope and wish at least one or two members of rouge one survived
Robert McMurrer that would be impossible as the Rebels almost always sacrifice themselves to achieve their goal, that is the message throughout.
If any of the Rebels had survived, then you have to somehow explain where they were for A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It made sense for them to sacrifice themselves, it felt right.
Why are people insisting that they have to die because they didn't appear in the other movies? There are propably thousands of rebels out there that are neither seen nor mentioned. Heck in the EU Kyle Katarn survived even though he was never even mentioned during the movies.
I mean, I expected that they'd all die, but still they could've easily said that they where involved in other missions and battles during the time period of the originals.
They could've yeah... but in a movie thats designated to tie into the original trilogy, it'd be incredibly jarring if that was left open ended and unexplained.
Also, the Rogue One team was a pretty big deal. They were the ones who went out on their own, and helped strike the "first victory over the Empire" as said in ANH's crawl. They'd definitely be heavily involved in all of the main battles/missions if they'd survived.
While your logic is sound, they now have to find a way to explain why the rebels from the tv series weren't in a New Hope, when they were clearly in the Battle for Scarif. Though I didn't see if the ghost was destroyed or not, and it is very possible they were on another mission.
Jam the movies together? Nooooooo. It takes a hyperspace trip to reach Tatooine.
I am one with the force, and the force is with me
I swear there was an imperial officer that looked like J.K. Simmons
Sam Lee "I want pictures of spiderman!!"
Hassan Draws no: "I WANT PICTURE OF JYN ERSO......;)"
Sam Lee i saw that. i was Iike wtf
Hi for research purposes
when I saw the movie, there was a lady that whispered "this is not a good movie" never have I been so irritated
I was so sad when BASICLY EVERYONE DIED
Y'know, this was the thing I liked about the movie the most. We knew it ended horribly for them from Ep IV, but I was worried this would soften it. It didn't and I was happysad about it.
Kristen Meyersick agree
TPPMac1 Yeah I'm glad they didn't soften their deaths. Goes to show that Star Wars seems to be in good hands.
Kristen Meyersick I was sad but it was great as far as to show that when Sugeraro (old rebel black guy that died don't know how to spell) he said "save the rebellion" and it shows how far they all went to save it and it was meaningful to so I liked it
Kristen Meyersick I teared up and laughed at princess Leia's hilarious CGI face
Are you kidding? I'm blind!
It's in the SOP. One prisoner one bag.
I've seen Donnie Yen in several martial arts films but he was absolutely delightful in Rogue One. This movie's cast was amazing.
I really liked it when K2 said "I have a bad feeling-but he got interrupted
They killed the Red 5 pilot to make room for Luke in New Hope.
I didn't even notice Grand Moff Tarkin was CGI
The name of the planet WOBANI was probably an easter egg for OBIWAN
Princess Leia's ship isn't a Hammerhead. The Tantive IV is a Correlian Corvette.
Arthur Del Castillo Yeah he got a bit confused there.
The hammerhead is what rammed the into the star destroyer
Arthur Del Castillo Charlie got confused slightly, although the Hammerhead was also Leia's personal ship in Rebels before she handed it over-note the crew is Alderaanean, with the helmets
Arthur Del Castillo thank you, I was hoping someone was going to mention that.
Right, but the hammerhead ship that WAS in the movie belonged to Leia. Charlie is confused as to what a "stand lone movie" is, but he wasn't confused about the Hammerhead.
im supposed to be watching rouge one but this one player keeps kicking my ass
Emerald Forest Is it thekrennic27?
truwho82 yeah thekrennic27
And that's where my knowledge on that meme ends xD
Emerald Forest Who's thekrennic27?
Mirko Žaja some say he was the first rouge one viewer ever, born from fire
dark saber is canon... the tv shows are considered canon
ChamZeron902 They were always canon.
didnt he say there were making there way back to canon maybe
ChamZeron he was talking about the black saber not darksaber
canon?
The reference was "black saber". The Darksaber is definitely canon. Keep up
Did I see the pilot that missed the first run on the Death Star?
Steve Bogle Yeah
gold leader? yeah, it was played by the same actor
Dimitri Bitu So was Red Leader. Sadly the guy who played Red Leader died earlier this year, but it doesn't say "archive footage" so I assume he did it and then died after doing his cameo. Also, did you notice how crap the old Red 5 was?
Dimitri Bitu well it was cgi but ya
It wasn't. The footage from red and gold leader was reused stock footage that was left over.
I spotted so many. My top 5 favorite not in any order are these
Bail organa going to call for leia, call his "Jedi friend" and said "ready my ship captain antilles
Both red and gold leader cgi during battle and red 5 dying
C3po and r2
Rebels call back with hammerhead corvette(from KOTOR) and ghost ship at landing and during battle
Cgi leia and her ship with the troops leaving
Also Vader castle and being s badass
i liked that imperial officer cameo.. the one that reported to tarkin in the middle of the film was the same one who reported to tarkin about the datoonie remains
What about "I've got a bad feeling about this"? That was great!
rogue one is the movie the prequels should have been
prequels were better, but this movie is good, hell rogue one is what the originals should have been
THE PREQUELS WERE BETTER?!!!!
Ty, I wouldn't say 2 was. Maybe better than 1, but I mostly agree!
TheCsel yes they were better
maybe if you count all 3 movies together as a whole vs Rogue One. Individually? no.
I thought the planet Vader as a palace on is Sullust, because the soil is black instead of brown like Mustafar
no it is mustafar. it's confirmed
Jorge Medina It looked like sullust but ut was mustafar
Mustafar makes sense too. The site of his defeat by Obi Wan would be a source of hate to feed his dark side powers. Also, it was the last place he saw Padmé.
everything is black in this movie :D
Jorge Medina Actually Vader's palace is on Vjun
I don't know why people are still so annoyed by Vader's choke pun... Vader deserves sometimes to smirk, smile, or laugh about the pitiful creatures he encounters on a regular basis. People forget, he is witty, and also loves to rub in the weaknesses and failures of others into their faces from time to time. Actually it would make perfect sense considering Anakin's sense of humor and his tendency to joke away everything. If Anakin had a sense of humor, it should follow that Vader has too, but a dark, corrupt, sick version of the original.
wait, the castle is on Mustafar? I didnt see the little white text saying what planet it is during the movie
Kyle Tetzlaff it didn't say what planet it was, but what else would it be. I think they didn't show it because they still wanted to hold off as long as possible to reveal Vader, and if they had it say the name of the planet people would be like oh this is the Vader scene.
Yep, confirmed as Mustafar by Pablo Hidalgo (LucasFilm Story Group/creative executive/fountain of Star Wars knowledge) on Twitter. The reason they didnt label it as Mustafar was "filmmakers choice" as no doubt they wanted to hold off on it being Vader for as long as possible.
They may also wanted fans to figure it out by themselves. I had to admit it was a nice feeling during the showing to ask myself "Holy fuck is that Mustafar ?" than the movie just telling me in a obvious way.
***** If you saw 'Mustafar' pop up when the ship is landing, you know its instantly a Vader scene... whilst some immediately expected Vader as they thought it was Mustafar, other casual viewers wouldn't... until they saw him in the Bacta Tank
Kyle Tetzlaff there wasn't one a number of videos have said they deliberately left it out for fans to go wait is that....
In your non-spoiler review, you said that a planet name was linked to a character, could you explain :D nice vid!
Wobani is an anagram for Obi-Wan, I forgot to include that in this video. But more Obi-Wan stuff.
sweet as thanks bro
Was the "Gold Leader, standing by" and "Red Leader, standing by" lines during the battle taken directly from the originals?
Finn Saunders that would be standard pilot protocol rather than any particular reference
The reference is that they might have directly taken audio from A New Hope and inserted it into Rogue One. I thought it sounded familiar and wanted to know.
I love when Vader Force Chokes Krennic and turns around and says "Don't choke on your aspirations, Director."
Been waiting all day to see this
There are a billion more Easter Eggs, so the more you watch, the more you'll probably spot in the background.
Emergency Awesome I also am pretty sure I heard the voice of Willem Defoe as one of the storm troopers on the prison transport (right before the rescue). "I don't know. Must be another pickup." Is that a movie-making inside joke?
When I first saw it, I thought Bail Organa was talking about Ahsoka not Old Ben and Leia
purpleunicorn12 Ashoka formally left the Jedi Order, so Organa would not refer to her as a Jedi
SantomPh the Jedi is Obi Wan. He then said "I would trust her with my life" referring to the person being sent to contact him. My first thought was Ahsoka but it most likely is Leia
its definitely Obiwan, since Leia is sent to find General Kenobi on Tatooine in Ep IV. While Ahsoka would be cool, not as many people in the audience would get the reference.
My favorites are probably the "Black Saber" and the fact that Rogue One and Episode IV seamlessly go together at the end. When I was in the theatre and saw those rebel troops running like that through the hammerhead corvette, I started freaking out with nostalgia and got hype for Vader.
This movie was awesome
Confirmed 👍
Emergency Awesome CEWL!
I think you missed out that red leader and gold leader were added and the rebel pilot who was red 5 before he gets shot. blue squadron was another and c3-PO and R2-D2 on yavin 4, and a rebel wearing black scout trooper armour in those rebels on jeda. the AT-ST walker was shown and stormtrooper commander on jeda. jar jar binks in the rebel base hidden at the back and captain Antilles.
Nick Pavlidis jar jar?
planet waboni, which if you rearrange letters it's obiwan
Jyn erso was suppose to live!!!! Well originally ha if you watch the celebration reel you can see her run on the beach with the plans.
Sancheezy Yeah I remember that xD In the first trailer she seems to steal the plans and then heading to possibly some typr of scape transport, but then I guess the writers didn't want to further explain why she isn't even mentioned in A New Hope so yeah, everyone dies at the end lol.
Still loved the film though!
Well, it's set in stone that the plans were sent via transmission, and we see the base of some sort of structure in the scene where she's running, so I assume she was heading to a radio tower to beam up the plans, and then was going to be killed by the AT-ACT or the Death Star blast in the next scene.
Sancheezy actually in episode 4 vader said how the plans were transmitted. that trailer scene was probably meant to make u think that she would survive
'A lot of people sacrificed their lives to get us these plans.' Nope, if you thought any one of that crew was going to live you were deluding yourself. I was definitely very sad when each died as the characterization was decent for such a large ensemble, but no one was getting out of there except Leia and her corvette.
You went way too far for black saber.
Nothing makes a geek more happier than Star Wars and hearing Emergency Awesome explain it to you:)
I dont think you know that Clone Wars and Rebels ARE both cannon
they are the Canon EU
Xanda Panda im confused, because he said the dark saber was not yet in canon. But it appears in clone wars AND Rebels?
Xanda Panda ah, i misunderstood
The intercom said "General Cham Syndulla" who is Hera's father
Sal Scalici Cham Syndulla, former governor of the T'willek homeworld and independent Rebel leader.
I've seen the movie twice and it does not. It only says General Syndulla. Cham is not fond of the Rebel Alliance and only cares about the Twi'lek resistance on Ryloth, so it is not likely he would be at the Alliance headquarters on Yavin IV.
It doesn't say Cham. Just 'General Syndulla'. And considering her ship is at the base, and Chopper also, it's obviously Hera.
i agree that it is about Cham, not Hera, first none of them is general in Rebels, and it could mean both of them (and i think that it is the point, they dont want to say that Hera will for sure survive Rebels) so both would need some story development to get there, Cham, rebel leader atm, got closer to Alliance in last episode he was in, and if he would join them, he would have higher rank then Hera, she is just starship captain, she has a long way to go to be a leader on such scale
Lucien LaCroix Then why is her ship, and in all intents and purposes, her droid, there at the same time? It's not Cham. Between now and the end of Rebels, I'm pretty sure we see Hera rise up the ranks and become a General to tie into Rogue One
so, safe to assume bail organa gets back to alderaan before it got blown up ?
Myke Belmonte I'd say so, sadly.
bummer, I like Jimmy Smits
Myke Belmonte I do too. It was such a treat to see him suddenly walk in from the shadows.
it's confirmed in the bloodline book that he died on alderaan
Chris DeStefano No one cares about the books.
Probably been mentioned but Bail Organa mentions "captain Antilles" after talking to Mon Mothma and leaving for Alderaan.
Norcal Yes. He did. Captain Antilles refers to the Captain of the Tantive IV; not Wedge.
One of the best Star Wars movies.
I loved that he grabs the General by the throat and says don't choke on your ambition. That pun was awesome. I actually really liked the way that he spoke.
I heard them say " General Syndulla "
They did say General Syndulla, I don't know what he is talking about.
I thought they meant her Father who was General Syndulla in the Cartoon.
princess Leia has a regular corvette, not a hammerhead
I didn't think it was weird that a dead actor was being represented, I thought it was weird that he had a creepy uncanny valley face.
star wars rebels is canon hence why admiral thrawn is in star wars rebels, star wars rebels characters mentioned in the movie and the ghost ship in the movie.
Just saw the movie today, came straight to this page for info!! Lol
ha, awesome!
Emergency Awesome 👍🏽🙏
Just saw the movie. OMG! I love the war theme to the movie, it's not your typical "fantastical" star wars movie. They couldn't have made a better rebel spies movie.
You kinda lose at life if you don't watch this movie 500 times or more
ha, sure
I can't eat that much popcorn.
Ruebacca take one for the team
You can't just jam rogue one into ANH. Days must pass between the two. Think about it: when Leia gets boarded, she uses the cover of being on a peace mission to Alderaan. If she's just run away from the battle 2 minutes ago, then what is the point of lying to Vader? Vader and everyone else would have just seen them leave and followed them. Clearly time has passed and during the second encounter she must simply be claiming she was never at the battle and that they have the wrong ship
Well they did jump into hyperspace so she could just make her claims to give the impression that they are a different ship. If too much time would've passed, she could've already delivered the plans to the alliance.
Vader also talked about several transmissions by rebel spies when there was only one according to rogue one.
According to the Star Wars people, Rogue ends only 10 min before Hope. But I definitely see your point.
Yeah I thought that was really strange as well.
But it also explains why Vader gets so pissed off when they try to pull that BS. He doesn't believe them for a SECOND and is completely certain that theyre the ones that got away
Rebels combinations into spoilers perhaps?!? **possible spoilers**
Dark saber is now in Sabine's Hands... Sabine a Madalorian of House Wren, Clan Vizula. Could "The Knights of Wren" (originally) have been founded by her, or someone linked to her for the purpose of handling force sensitive warriors.
In the trailers or something there's a Droid who looks an awful lot like the droid Chopper befriends in Season 2.
The new tie fighters in the final battle in the film, don't use the standard tie fighter wing profile where its side by side, nor the curved bomber wing pattern, nor the standard Tie Interceptor pattern... Could they be the ones Thrawn is developing on Lothal in the Rebel series right now? They seem to take note of the X-wing/B-wing's foil wing design that can open for more fire power and agility, or closed for speed and a narrow attack formation profile...
The last 'big' thing/theory for Rebels offhand. When Yoda is about to die he says that Luke will become the last of the Jedi... There 'could' still be a number of force sensitive wielders who survive into "A New Hope" and beyond, but Maul isn't a Jedi, Asoka (even if she's still alive) doesn't consider herself a Jedi, there's the Bendu. And two remaining force wielders outside of Vader and the Emperor. Ezra and Kanan. For Luke to be the last Jedi, either one of the two or both, Kanan and/or Ezra, die, are turned to the dark side (which makes Ezra as Snoke highly likely) or they find and follow the 3rd path, the Bendu/middle, that is neither, much like Asoka is.
For me RO > TFA and loved both movies, which is your favorite?
Tinosvaldo Mendoza Definitely RO has a much solid story, much more interesting battle sequences and a hole lot more sense of humour. Not perfect of course but way more entertaining
Clone Wars and Rebels are Canon. So the Darksaber is Canon. Duh.
he seems to be making a distinction between Darksaber and Blacksaber.
what does cannon mean
He said BLACKsaber. the wording is different
what is the meaning of canon
a piece of artillery used in war
General Syndulla literally made me scream
No, Darth Vader lines weren't weird! What?
Steve Roberts Yeah i thought they were perfect
No i liked them to. I mean, he uses "kind words" in a threating way. Like when he told the admiral on Death Star 2 that it takes to long for it to be buit and that he is displeased and then say's "i hope so for your sake, the emperor is not as forgiving as i am". He is making it abundantly clear that it's a threat but he uses words that insinuates "concern" for them. Just like he did with Krennic.
Anyone else underwhelmed by this movie? Everyone seems so hyped, but I felt it lacked character development.
I like the movie, but most of the movie I felt like I was being forced to watch it. I literally left to go to the restroom and didn't miss anything important once returning. It definitely lacked character development. It also left a lot of unanswered questions. For a movie in general it was alright, but for a SW film it was meh.
Connor Vine I think that's part of the point. It's a Star Wars story, the entire movie was meant to emphasize the true horror of the empire through disposable characters. While all other Star Wars movies focused on following the storyline of single or multiple related characters, rogue one was made to better represent the actual "war" going on in the background of the plot.
I found the majority of the film unsettling until I realized this was a war film not an epic adventure. The final act was great however.
Connor Vine well it's Disney so.....
You have no idea what you are talking about kid
When K-2SO's went into the lift.. he started to say the Han Solo line.. but was interrupted.. ' I have a bad feeli...' and then was told to shut up..lol.. classic throwback..
The Walrus Man lol his name is Ponda Baba
He was known as Walrus Man for a good 20 years
also they both survive in the EU
He lost an arm...and then his career as an architect (Robot Chicken reference)
Could Ashoka ever be in a live action movie?
BabyBobaFette she was in the second movie i believe
+Dave that wasn't her. The clone wars is after that and she was already 15 or 16. The Togruta in Ep II looked to be like 8.
She was the one killed in the deleted scene in Ep 3, I think. Rebels *may* have killed her off at the end of last season, but I for one, think she'll be back. Doubtful she'd show up in a future movie, unless maybe they did one on Obi Wan, maybe.
Tim Cairns that was Shak Ti, not Ashoka.
It'll be a long time but they'll find a way to include her
Vaders castle in Mustafar was not only where he fought Obi-Wan, but also last saw Padmé. People seem too forget that.not an Easter egg but an interesting fact on why he'd be there
who was the one that knelt down before Vader and called him master? looked snokish
Olivier Pensa I think it was krennic
Olivier Pensa he died...
rockslps when vader was in the tank, someone with a robe and hood and a non human face knelt b4 him. was def not krenic
Olivier Pensa he was kreninic because there would be no other person wearing that white suit
rockslps he wasnt wearing a white suit. he was wearing a black robe and hood. plus krenic wudnt call him master and never did in the film
R2-D2 and C3po
....Charlie...Leia isn't on a Hammerhead cruiser. You're killing me.
It's a CR-90.
Isn't Admiral Thrawn canon now? Why did you say he was from the EU? But, thanks for the great vid!
FanFusion He is now canon but it's still EU, you see thats how its called. Theres EU Canon and EU Legends
Denzel Mendoza no there's not... There's canon and Legends, that's it
HeroBoy the Gamer I know that's what I said lol
No, there's canon, and the EU(expanded universe)/legends EU and legends are the same thing, there is no expanded universe canon, it's just canon
james morgan if tcw wasn't canon it'd make the canon so bland to be honest
At archives scene wasn't it called "Dark saber" and not "Black Saber"? Anyway I'll be seeing it again Tuesday and I'll listen more carefully
James Lapierre it was dark saber
Brikkyy13 I thought so..
James Lapierre Nah I just saw it. it was black saber
Lol..Ok..I'm not sure now
It was 100% Black Saber.
I thought I heard Dark Saber on my first viewing as it was referenced in the Rebels episode last week, but I saw it again yesterday and it's definitely "Black Saber"
Death Vader scene at the end was amazing
