If you think Vader hates sand, imagine how much Grievous must've hated beach-days. All of those openings for sand to get into his exposed heart and lungs and pancreas.
It made absolute sense for him to be in the movie, but the effect was way too distracting. Also, he looked really tall next to the rest of the cast. How tall was Peter Cushing at that age?
Guernicaman Peter Cushing was 6 ft and Ben Mendelson is 5 ft 9 so the height was a bit inaccurate I guess. (Btw the guy who did the motion capture is 6 ft 3)
***** Vader's Stormtroopers were probably thinking while shooting and missing rebel soldiers: "Meh, I don't need to hit ya. Lord Vader's gonna kill you anyway in a few seconds. I just need to make it APPEAR like I'm doing some work, tho.. PEW PEW, PEW!"
The ending of the movie withh Vader was just AMAZING. You can sense the fear and emotion in thhe rebel solddiers before being slaughtered! Also how much they sacrificed for the plans to be retrieved.
will we ever get Porkins: A Star Wars Story. the journey of a rebel x-wing pilot who's addiction to carbs causes his ship to be slow and tragically shot down by the empire only for him to fall into an Interstellar wormhole situation where emerges and becomes a grizzled lieutenant in the Gotham city police department
+Danny Lerman But Vader is far more powerful and more capable then stormtroopers. You saw how quick he tore apart those rebels. Vader was trying to get the plans before the ship could escape. The rebels barely got away since Vader showed up hacking and slashing.
Yeah, but he's not really Hitler, I would say that The Emperor is Hitler, Storm Troopers are... Storm Troopers, and Darth Vader is like the entire SS in one person. A lot of the time, he just orders the Storm Troopers around, but if the stakes are high enough or the mission is dangerous enough...
Wish it wasn't so distracting though. Would have been fine if they like stood next to Leia or wandered around in the background of Tantive 4 somwehere, but did they really need to be in the middle of the screen and talk to each other so idiots at the cinema can go "*THATS R2 and 3PO!!!!!!*"?
They showed for once how truly powerful the sith are i think rogue one is the best film by far because it shows how the SW universe is truly, it showed how cruel it could be and showed how powerful are the with not that Ren bs and his weak ass fighting
Michael Oropesa The entirety of The Force Awakens is hitting the audience over the head with how deadly Chewbacca's bowcaster is. The fact that Kylo Ren takes a direct hit straight in the gut (which should have killed him) and not only carries on but uses the pain to fuel him shows just how incredibly powerful he actually is. At the very least he should have been rendered unconscious but he still held his own in a lightsaber fight against a force user let alone a trained ex-Stromtrooper. Hopefully this provides an alternative view.
I love how stuff like the word "Whills" and the Vader castle is just a bunch of stuff that still came from George Lucas himself that he simply just couldn't include in his universe at the time, but even once he's passed this onto new people, they're still using some of his original ideas.
I think there is an opening crawl reference at the start of the movie. the rings of the planet top left of the screen look like blue lines flying in space a not unlike the crawl.
Mr Sunday Movies wish ya could've gone more into detail on the black saber! Other than that, you're great, been watching you for years. Proud member of GeekFuel b/c of you, keep the videos coming!
Mats Nan has the best scene of any Star Wars film, period. Probably the best final scene too, taking it from Luke at the end of TFA for me. No idea how they improve the endings from here...
Fun Facts: Apparently the other female councillor at the Rebel Alliance headquarters is named Tynnra Pamlo. She is the senator representing the planet Taris; which is the planet from the beginning of Knights of the Old Republic. So... hidden KOTOR refrences. Thats fun.
Though it's still obviously experimental as we've seen in other movies such as T4 (non canonical) and Captain America one, it was very well done. My breath was taken away when Tarkin turned around. Same with Princess Leia at the end. You can tell they worked hard to make this movie fit in to the others. Also that Vader scene *shivers
It was a pretty dark moment. When it went all dark, and suddenly you hear his breathing, he turns his red lightsaber on, it has an awesome glow. I was like "Fuck yes."
Fartman 45000 I thought it was that part in the opening of a new hope, but it was so much better. there's literally no reason to hate this scene it was glorious
+Orbital Drop that's what I thought too, the dark hallway confused me. Then I realized it was something new. Then I went "oh fuck yes" and leaned forward.

When I saw the planet that Vaders Castle was on I automatically thought Sullust. The geography somewhat matches the map from battlefront called Sorosuub Centroplex which is located on sullust. Mustafar would make more sense though. The wiki page stated that Vader tortured Jedi on Mustafar and often visited the planet to fuel his hatred.
Dark Assassin I meant the whole rebel stealing plans battle. Yes of course their was darth Vader but he wasn't in the fight. The troopers and the alliance, just them. I can only say empire strikes back and rogue one are war battles between Rebels and empire.
Yeah man it was quite refreshing, I remember I'd read the screen to book adaption of the Empire Strikes Back and I'd loved the description of the trench fight but when I finally saw the movie(last year) I was so disappointed that the trench fight was so short. So I'm glad the director decided to add it.
*EASTER EGG/REFERENCE* K2SO, played by Alan Tudyk, started the take-off sequence with touching 2 buttons front console and flipping 3 switches on the overhead. Tudyk made the same motion every time he preformed the take-off sequence in the show "Firefly." Tudyk joked (in that show's director's commentary) how he made the same motions every time he was "piloting" and no one on set ever pointed out the repetition. Looks like he is keeping it up.
A Potato i think hes talking about how people have been poking fun of how a huge ass death star is able to take out planets with ease, but has such a big weakness, which was how the whole death star was able to be destroyed by a single torpedo. Gallian Erso mentioned that he intentionally put the weakness in the death star, hoping the rebels could stop the empire from becoming too strong.
Just saw the movie for a third time. Galen mentions nothing about the exhaust port being the flaw. The flaw is in the reactor. If one reactor explodes, then rest of them explode too, causing the station to explode. The Exhaust Port is an exhaust port. Honestly people should be amazed at Galen's engineering skill to make a moon sized space station have exhaust ports as small as 2 meters wide.
Alex Bauermeister TFA was good. I really liked it but I know what you mean. there was a few things that bugged me about R1 but I enjoyed the pg-13ness and wish that SW films would in some ways get a little darker
I hear people saw that often but honestly, Rogue One is better than a New Hope and Return of the Jedi, which I think even the Force Awakens is better than also. Empire Strikes Back still reigns supreme haha
***** Of course the culture and phenomena was great but the films themselves do not last the test of time like Empire does. I mean we needed Rogue One to explain the literally plot hole of the Death Star's destruction. What you are relying is merely spectacle of Star Wars, and not the quality of writing itself.
none of you notice what type of vehicle after Jyn Erso's arrest she was escorted via taking a ride to the prison her ride was a *CLONE TURBO TANK* youll see stormtroopers walking beside the tank thats right! good thing the Empire still uses The Clone Wars Era war vehicles!
Loved the Tarkin and Leia CGI work. And Vader was savage at the end. Absolutely brilliant. Felt like Star Wars meets Saving Private Ryan and the Dirty Dozen. Great addition to the Star Wars universe! Thanks for explaining the plethora of easter eggs. Good work!
I loved how Jyn saving that little asian girl in the fight with Saw Gerrera's people was pointless because that little girl got hit with the fucking DeathStar laser.
GET ME PHOTOS OF DARTH VADER! Sir! The Death Star has been destroyed! WHO DID IT!? A rebel pilot...? GET ME PHOTOS OF SPIDERWALKER!!! What!? HE'S A MENACE! I'm gonna go now, see you monday...
As much as they make Galen's home look Star Warsy, I hate how they put moisture vaporators in the beginning of the movie. Owen and Beru are *moisture* farmers on a *desert* planet. Why would Galen have one in his farm? Doesn't he live next to a waterfall or something?
It's like an inexperienced hacker buying a radio instead of a computer. No matter how bad you are at hacking, how the hell could you make that kind of mistake?
Did you see all the dead ground all over the place? That may not be a desert planet, but it sure as hell isn't a place that can't use a moisturizer or two.
The thing with the T-15s is a joke also used in the force awakens. It's hard to hear without subtitles, but in TFA, two troopers talk about the T-17s. In rogue one, they talk about T-15s, and in a new hope, they talk about T-16s, possibly the same T-16s that Luke used to "bullseye womp rats."
There was a planet named Wabino (or something like that) which is an anagram for Obi Wan, and K2SO (I think it was him) said SW0608. I think SW stands for Star Wars, and I'm not sure what 0608 means
Rogue One being better than Episode 7 is just as much an opinion as Rogue One being worse than Episode 7. To me, I can't pick a worse one because to me it is like having to pick between Captain America Winter Soldier or Civil War
I think that it's stupid that Lah'mu has moisture vaporators. I know that it's meant to give the audience a familiar image, but it doesn't make any sense. The whole point of moisture vaporators is to pull the water out of the atmosphere in places where people don't have water, so why would a planet that has large bodies of water, and is raining during the movie need more water? Also, some things you missed: 1. The planet Wobani is an anagram of "Obi Wan". 2. Jyn's blaster is based off the Luger pistol, which is most likely a nod to the fact that Han Solo's blaster is based off the Mauer C96, both of wich are German made pistols. 3. This might just be a coincidence, but Krennic's Imperial Shuttle resembles a T-16 Skyhopper, which Luke flew on Tatooine.
Can some one answer my question? Why were thos att transport things really easy to kill? But within the game take y bombers like 12 bombing runs to take down?
The AT-AT's are more heavily armoured battle ready versions of the AT-ACT's (which are designed for cargo transportation). In Rogue One, they were fighting against AT-ACT's not AT-AT's.
well as he explains in the video they are armored CARGO transport walkers, and therefore I am lead to the assumption that they are meant to operate only on that planet and not go into battle. and video games by no mean indicate any sort of canonical measure of the defensive/offensive capabilities of any of the vehicles or weapons. even within the exact same game those can change depending on whether you set the difficulty high, low, or some such otherwise.
WAIT WAIT WAIT..... Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan were shown very briefly on Jedha, bumping into Jyn Erso and getting a bit angry about it. But then minutes later, that city is destroyed by the Death Star? Are we just to believe that they made it out scott free and just in time, which is why we see them in a New Hope? Am I missing something? Just because we are a sponsor, doesn't mean we can't be geeks too.
I just assumed that they were on their way to a spaceport or something to leave for Tatooine when they bumped into her and had already left by the time crap hit the fan.
Guess you could say it's a totally different animal when the other person also has a big glowstick of doom. Maybe he was just feeling out old Ben - seeing how much of the spry Ewan MacGregor was still in there and Ben seeing how much of the tricksy Anakin was still in there. I guess seeing Obi Wan would've really taken Vader off his game. Idk why I'm making excuses for it, it's really just because it looks cool at the end of the day - continuity be damned. lol
I'm surprised Vader didn't make his castle on a sand planet. That sand could fuel his hatred like nothing else
TinyHippo Gaming
I would know.
The sand would get In his suit and fuel his hatred twice as much as just seeing It.
It's coarse...and rough....and irritating.
I think he's trying to stay away from sand as much as possible. Why else do you think he didn't go down to the beach to stop the rebels himself? ;-)
If you think Vader hates sand, imagine how much Grievous must've hated beach-days. All of those openings for sand to get into his exposed heart and lungs and pancreas.
I know a lot of people think CGI Tarkin looked a bit wonky but I loved it and thought it made sense for him to show up.
Dylan Campbell I didn't even know he was CGI (I'm not a Star Wars fan so I thought he was a new character)
Derian Parker smh
It made absolute sense for him to be in the movie, but the effect was way too distracting. Also, he looked really tall next to the rest of the cast. How tall was Peter Cushing at that age?
Dylan Campbell made sense he was there but they should have either recasted him or animated over someone that looked like him
Guernicaman Peter Cushing was 6 ft and Ben Mendelson is 5 ft 9 so the height was a bit inaccurate I guess. (Btw the guy who did the motion capture is 6 ft 3)
I saw rogue one twice just to see that sweet Darth Vader fight at the end again.
Gucci Mane Yeah but its still poor quality. Thanks anyway my dude
69MetaMemeLord420 I saw it 4 times in theaters for the same reason haha.
the last 2 minutes of this movie alone is worth the price of admission
yeah I know. that Leia CGI is totally worth the $11!
jk i know what you mean
Jacob Martinez fact
Jacob Martinez you mean the credits. funny joke
Christian Davis No, Vader's 2nd scene.
Flashbang Thrudadoor was there an after credit?
*Vader went HARD at the end of this movie.*
Being caught in a closed enclosure with an angry sith is certainly scary
***** Vader's Stormtroopers were probably thinking while shooting and missing rebel soldiers: "Meh, I don't need to hit ya. Lord Vader's gonna kill you anyway in a few seconds. I just need to make it APPEAR like I'm doing some work, tho.. PEW PEW, PEW!"
At the end Vader felt more like a horror movie villain, it was awesome!
They saved the best scene for last. WHAT A SCENE. And watching Vader's first scene I caught myself SMILING.
They managed to strike a perfect balance of casual brutality and general indifference on the part of Vader.
Rogue One is the real Suicide Squad
Donal Mccarthy
That took me a long time to understand
Vikram Ranchan i don't get it
Donal Mccarthy Too soon..
aaah,gotcha
i don't get it
The ending of the movie withh Vader was just AMAZING.
Actually, Porkins claims his body is the way it is because he grew up on Bestine IV, a high gravity planet.
@@elliebee6537 I would say the exact same thing if I lived in a Galaxy Far Far away and needed an excuse for being fat.
Who else immediately went home after Rogue One and watched "A New Hope"...
Steve Bogle ME ME ME
Steve Bogle I had to watch the entire original trilogy
I didn't the first time as it was late, but I just went for my second showing and watched A New Hope right when I got home.
How I could....we came back home at 3 o'clock in the morning.... the show began at 00.01.... :-D
Jason Miller here here
That bit where Vader just let loose and killed all those guys was pretty great, huh? Yeah, pretty good.
Yiorgios Vazouras yup :) amazing
Yiorgios Vazouras yes but out of character. When Hitler wanted something done he sent his army not really went himself now did he.
+Danny Lerman But Vader is far more powerful and more capable then stormtroopers. You saw how quick he tore apart those rebels. Vader was trying to get the plans before the ship could escape. The rebels barely got away since Vader showed up hacking and slashing.
@danny Lerman In the comics he did a lot of missions himself
Yeah, but he's not really Hitler, I would say that The Emperor is Hitler, Storm Troopers are... Storm Troopers, and Darth Vader is like the entire SS in one person. A lot of the time, he just orders the Storm Troopers around, but if the stakes are high enough or the mission is dangerous enough...
Favorite scene? Mine is vader fucking shit up at the end.
Liamggbb 123 i think that's everyone's favourite scene buddy!
Mats Nan nah mines Bistan popin an At Acts kneecap
Liamggbb 123 the two star destroyers colliding
"Are you kidding me?" xDDD
Same here, however it raises the question: Why didn't he do the same thing at the start of ANH instead of sending 20 stormtroopers in first to die? xD
So glad after all these years, R2-D2 and C-3P0 can still make an appearance.
TFanPage10
it's tradition that they add them in all Star Wars films!!!
TFanPage101 I
They don't look like they've aged a day! All that hollywood money and botox probably.
Kievan Hartup unfortunately Solo ruined that
Anyone else love the way they showed how powerful Vader truly was during his slaughtering scene
They showed for once how truly powerful the sith are i think rogue one is the best film by far because it shows how the SW universe is truly, it showed how cruel it could be and showed how powerful are the with not that Ren bs and his weak ass fighting

Joshua Cecil true, and you ever seen another instance where someone uses the force to stop a laser in mid air? thats alot of power right there
Looked like someone playing him in StarWars Battlefront
Eric TheRed I was talking about Kylo Ren in force awakens
I love how stuff like the word "Whills" and the Vader castle is just a bunch of stuff that still came from George Lucas himself that he simply just couldn't include in his universe at the time, but even once he's passed this onto new people, they're still using some of his original ideas.

Anyone caught some other Easter Eggs? Also it's Baze Malbus not Malba, I misspoke. Also other mistakes probably.
Mr Sunday Movies Ya knobhead
I think there is an opening crawl reference at the start of the movie. the rings of the planet top left of the screen look like blue lines flying in space a not unlike the crawl.
Mr Sunday Movies, the planet that Jyn Erso is 'rescued' on is called Wobani which is an anagram of Obi Wan
Mr Sunday Movies why no mention of the real world references
Mr Sunday Movies wish ya could've gone more into detail on the black saber! Other than that, you're great, been watching you for years. Proud member of GeekFuel b/c of you, keep the videos coming!
"You may fire when ready" - Tarkin, Guy Henry and Peter Cushing
Who else loved Rogue one?
Mats Nan me , it's actually one of my favourite Star Wars movies , loved it , especially the ending ;)
Mats Nan Actually , it's one of my favourite movies. Period.
Mats Nan has the best scene of any Star Wars film, period. Probably the best final scene too, taking it from Luke at the end of TFA for me. No idea how they improve the endings from here...
amazing film
Who didn't?
There is another link to Empire Strikes Back. The pilot who finds Han Solo and Luke is flying under the call sign Rogue Two.
*here's one you've missed*
The planet Jyn Erso is rescued on is called WOBANI. These letters can be scrambled to spell OBI WAN.
Ultra 7 You can also scramble the letters to saw NAW BOI
Eclipse xD
That is clearly a reference to Lord Byron's Journal entry number 63 from 1806, he had a good time with Bo Wain that day, So obvious!
Anagram
did anyone notice that Darth Vaders helmet has red eyes in rogue one just like he has red eyes in star wars rebels
lipton william question why did you give me a link to the movie
Nolan Rollin cheesecake it's a scam
Nolan Rollin cheesecake and no it represents Vader's suit in A new Hope
Fun Facts: Apparently the other female councillor at the Rebel Alliance headquarters is named Tynnra Pamlo. She is the senator representing the planet Taris; which is the planet from the beginning of Knights of the Old Republic.
So... hidden KOTOR refrences. Thats fun.
Maybe they just saying the planet exists.. but not what happened in KOTOR
Loquendo5
More than likely true. But hey... they're canonizing a planet that originated in KOTOR....thats pretty cool.
Loquendo5 Yeah that's about it. Taris was first canonized in the Aftermath novel where some Sith acolytes obtain a red lightsaber.
Though it's still obviously experimental as we've seen in other movies such as T4 (non canonical) and Captain America one, it was very well done. My breath was taken away when Tarkin turned around. Same with Princess Leia at the end. You can tell they worked hard to make this movie fit in to the others. Also that Vader scene *shivers
that Vader hallway scene was amazing
It was a pretty dark moment. When it went all dark, and suddenly you hear his breathing, he turns his red lightsaber on, it has an awesome glow. I was like "Fuck yes."

There was a planet called Wobani
Obiwan!?
What about Yavin 4....where did 1 2 and 3 go?
Nakani, Dayo, and Quingo are probably nearby
Not Batman ikr xD i thought the same thing
+Kyler Ren Yavin is the gas giant planet, Yavin 1-4 are its moons
Yeap its anagram for Obiwan and apparently where he has been hiding...
Vader slaughtering rebels like they are a bunch of younglings was my favorite part (K2-SO as well)
Those ships the rebels used to ram the Start Destroyer are also seen in Knights of the old Republic.
I noticed that too
And in Rebels too
Uuuuuuuuuugh, I hate to be nitpicky, but they aren't. Those ships were much larger gunships used by the Republic. Hammerhead Corvettes weren't used until much later :3
Were hammerhead corvettes a thing before or after KotOR came out?
Regardless, canonically speaking the designers behind the corvettes could have very easily taken inspiration from the old republic warships
Jyn Erso is pretty close to Jan Orso from Jedi Knight.
It is spelled Jan Ors not Orso, if you're referring to Kyle Katarn's buddy in the Jedi Knight series. It would also be cool if Vader's castle in Rogue One was the one in Vjun instead, which is featured in the Jedi Academy video game.
Makes me think of qui gon Jin
and Galen, that name, ffs
Vaders finale scene in Rogue One was incredible
Yesssss Omg!!!!!! So awesome
Who else loved the final Darth Vader scene?
Deadly Dorito Everyone. no need to ask it
Deadly Dorito yup
reminded me the alien film with the escape pods
Deadly Dorito when vader lit the lightsaber I was like, "OMG WE CAN'T END YEEEET!!!" and then he JUST WENT FULL ONE RAGE and then I'm like I NEED MORE OF THIS!!!
After Empire, Rogue One, has to be number 2 on my fav list..

the 3PO and R2 easter egg was actually a Big-Lipped Alligator moment.
*Announcer*: A BIG-LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT
I wish Saw Gerrara got more screen time tbh. The speech he gave in the trailer before the reshoots was really interesting and I wish we got something like that in the final product
Dominic Henriott maybe they'll make a special edition or deleted scenes of him on the blue ray?
The WerewolfF thatd be very interesting, it'd be cool to see what they were planning on doing before the reshoots and script changes
The WerewolfF Don't mention special editions...
Arman Dutta nothing wrong with a special edition for a movie that's theatrical release is actually complete
Did anyone else totally lose it when Darth Vader wrecked those rebels?
That was pretty awesome. Throughout the whole movie it's just regular guys shooting each other and you see how vulnerable they are and how anyone on the field is susceptible to being kill. Then out comes Darth Vader killing everyone without flinching.
Aidan Flynn Fangasmed
Aidan Flynn i actually cried (it was too epic for me to handle)
Aidan Flynn I was having a fangasm
Everyone dies. I'm not talking about the plot of Rogue One, I'm talking about 2016.
Hehehe
Docktor Jim fake news
Docktor Jim i thought you were talking about Halo: Reach
Not a Easter egg really but one of the plushy toys on Jyn's bed was those wompoms? I foget what thier called but those creatures that han chopped up to keep luke warm.

Tauntaun. she is confusing the words with one another and thus confusing you.
I thought CGI Tarkin was pretty good, but CGI Leia was somewhat disturbing. There was something not quite right, like she was TOO Leia. Like, 120% Leia.
The brightly lit room didn't help, and they shouldn't have zoomed in so close to her face.
CerealBoyBlue really? I think it was the other way round. Tarkin was weirs and Leia was spot on
Young Princess Leia was actually a real actress named Ingvild Deila, who looks remarkably like Carrie Fisher at 19yo, but with dark hair, some makeup and a few CG touchups.
CerealBoyBlue i just couldn't believe they had tarkin for a good chunk of the film! Odd as the CGI was, it's an achievement! and man! CGi Leia pulling off a TFA Luke cameo!
+CerealBoyBlue Yeah...I wanted to fuck all 120% of her, she was so Leia.
Every time I hear the name, "Mon Mothma," lol it reminds me of RO-GR playing with his mop, "Mon Mopma." 🤣
My favourite Easter egg was the clone turbo tank. Great stuff, mate.
Hulking Titan did you catch the Black Scout Trooper helmet?
Brotherhooded I did not, bloody great find.
What part was it at?
Hulking Titan It was being worn by one of the guys who captured Bodhi at the start.
Hulking Titan I M P E R I A L T U R B O T A N K
K-2SO seems reminiscent of HK-47 from the Knights of the Old Republic games!
Kuppa King He reminds me of Proxy from the Force Unleashed videogames.
Peter Parker Yeah!
They want to cannibalize all of the good stuff from those games, without actually mentioning them.
This movie was more like Battlefront, then new Battlefront was.......
Joe Kerr true tho
Joe Kerr trueee
Joe Kerr I have a battlefront channel :)
The reshoots were very obvious. There's apparently 14 scenes from the trailers that aren't in the finished film.
Rob Wells or those where just shot for the trailer
***** seeing as how it was reported that 40 percent of the film was re-shot, I'd have to disagree.
Rob Wells Or it just didnt work for the movie so they cut it and replaced them with new scenes
Han Solo I am not that's what reshoots are for haha
Zachary Goddard lol
i watched the film for the first time and i spotted the ghost in the hanger scene in the left corner
I can't believe this video dropped almost FIVE years ago lol I'm suddenly not feeling so much like a spring chicken anymore. 😇
man rogue one was far better than TFA in my opinion
Sulthan Reihan TFA is better in my opinion but not by much both movie's are awesome.
Hands down! It was an original idea, something fresh. What TFA should have aspired to be. A really good movie.
Sulthan Reihan I think it was more fun. I'm not sure I'd say it was better.
Sulthan Reihan rBetter than the prequels.
Sulthan Reihan mmmmmhm
When I saw the planet that Vaders Castle was on I automatically thought Sullust. The geography somewhat matches the map from battlefront called Sorosuub Centroplex which is located on sullust.
Mustafar would make more sense though. The wiki page stated that Vader tortured Jedi on Mustafar and often visited the planet to fuel his hatred.
I thought about Vjun, because that's where his castle was in the Legends EU.
Finally a Star Wars film with war without any light Sabres or over powered people. Pure blasters and soldiers.
Sena setunga cause it's not like Darth Vader pulled his sabre out and murdered a bunch of rebels like an op person. Not at all
Dark Assassin I meant the whole rebel stealing plans battle. Yes of course their was darth Vader but he wasn't in the fight. The troopers and the alliance, just them. I can only say empire strikes back and rogue one are war battles between Rebels and empire.
Sena setunga I know what you mean bro I'm just being a smart ass. Plz forgive me
Yeah man it was quite refreshing, I remember I'd read the screen to book adaption of the Empire Strikes Back and I'd loved the description of the trench fight but when I finally saw the movie(last year) I was so disappointed that the trench fight was so short. So I'm glad the director decided to add it.
Dark Assassin you are forgiven my son.
How did Ponda Baba and Dr. Cornelius Evazan escape Jedha?
On a ship. There was A LOT of time between seeing them and the city being destroyed.
they could have been walking to the ship when you saw them.
Stew L Samples hey are you okay man
They were probably in a hurry to get to a transport taking them off that rock.
*EASTER EGG/REFERENCE*
K2SO, played by Alan Tudyk, started the take-off sequence with touching 2 buttons front console and flipping 3 switches on the overhead. Tudyk made the same motion every time he preformed the take-off sequence in the show "Firefly." Tudyk joked (in that show's director's commentary) how he made the same motions every time he was "piloting" and no one on set ever pointed out the repetition. Looks like he is keeping it up.
Vader wanted the high ground so much he built his home in the highest point of Mustafar.
Im so glad they fixed the deathstar plot hole
sean kirschner there was no plot hole
A Potato i think hes talking about how people have been poking fun of how a huge ass death star is able to take out planets with ease, but has such a big weakness, which was how the whole death star was able to be destroyed by a single torpedo. Gallian Erso mentioned that he intentionally put the weakness in the death star, hoping the rebels could stop the empire from becoming too strong.
He could have said, like many others, that it was an exhaust port, because without it, the Death Star would implode from the amount of heat built up.
A Potato that IS what they say in a new hope... they just basically added the point that it was a purposefull flaw so that its a bit more convincing
I feel like this movie was so much better than episode 7 but not many people bothered to watch it
Alex Bauermeister TFA was good.
+aeris44 TFA is not better than 1977's groundbreaking blockbuster "Star Wars" that changed science fiction forever.
Dylaneggs I agree with you. thats still the best Star wars movie
***** Of course the culture and phenomena was great but the films themselves do not last the test of time like Empire does. I mean we needed Rogue One to explain the literally plot hole of the Death Star's destruction.
What you are relying is merely spectacle of Star Wars, and not the quality of writing itself.
you forgot one: the planet wobani is an anagram of obi wan
none of you notice what type of vehicle after Jyn Erso's arrest she was escorted via taking a ride to the prison her ride was a *CLONE TURBO TANK* youll see stormtroopers walking beside the tank thats right! good thing the Empire still uses The Clone Wars Era war vehicles!
James Ferraris yeah because they knew the clone side had more powerful veichles and troops so they stole them
because the empire is basically the republic? They inherited all republic assets after the war
James Ferraris yeah I loved that small little surprise!
Erm did you not watch the video, pal? He literally makes note of this....
Weren’t they called juggernauts?
Everybody seemed to miss Porkins 😂😂
There was a pilot that had pig like nostrils that died as soon as he entered battle haha
Basically Flying Productions Porkins is Snoke.
Basically Flying Productions nope
Basically Flying Productions How is that Porkins? If he dies then it can't be him because he dies in A New Hope. :P
Dylan Campbell I meant to say that there was a character thy resembled porkins.
This is by far the best video about Star Wars I have seen in a very long time. Congrats to the team that made it. May the Force be with you!
rogue one was outstanding, all I gotta say is, the last 5 minutes was AWESOME.
Hey Mr Sunday
Don't CHOKE on your aspirations
darth Vader at the end was spectacular!!! My favorite scene by far.
I absolutely love the video, that consistent aussie humor is bloody brilliant #notracist
Rogue One > The Force Awakens
Would you say that if it didn't have that last scene?
FreeGoro Yeah tbh I think I would. I feel like rogue had a certain edgy feel throughout that sort of came with the original trilogy but wasn't in TFA
Joe Baker way I describe it is the Force Awakens gives you the Star Wars nostalgia feel but when comparing the two rogue one does have the upper hand.
My favourite Easter Egg is the addition of Darth Jar-Jar in the blu-ray special edition
loved this movie
Dirty Dan
Loved the Tarkin and Leia CGI work. And Vader was savage at the end. Absolutely brilliant. Felt like Star Wars meets Saving Private Ryan and the Dirty Dozen. Great addition to the Star Wars universe! Thanks for explaining the plethora of easter eggs. Good work!
Anyone else yelled out when C-3PO & R2-D2 appeared for like 0.46 seconds??
No?
Just me then.
i did
The Vader scenes were great, such a damn good movie.
Does no one remember seeing the Death Star hologram in Attack of the Clones? Count is holding it while being attacked on Geonosis.
I thought that when K2SO fired the blaster after taking that hit in the back he stuck a pose very similar to how Han fires his blaster
I loved how Jyn saving that little asian girl in the fight with Saw Gerrera's people was pointless because that little girl got hit with the fucking DeathStar laser.
I would go see Rogue One 10 more times just for the last scene with Vader. It was incredible.
There was an imperial officer that resembled J.K. Simmons
SHUT UP YOU'RE FIRED!!!
Sam Lee there was a JK Simmons that resembled an Imperial Officer
GET ME PHOTOS OF DARTH VADER!
Sir! The Death Star has been destroyed!
WHO DID IT!?
A rebel pilot...?
GET ME PHOTOS OF SPIDERWALKER!!!
What!?
HE'S A MENACE!
I'm gonna go now, see you monday...
Chirrut can be heard in the background saying "May the force of others be with you". That was used in The Star Wars rough draft...
Great video!
As much as they make Galen's home look Star Warsy, I hate how they put moisture vaporators in the beginning of the movie. Owen and Beru are *moisture* farmers on a *desert* planet. Why would Galen have one in his farm? Doesn't he live next to a waterfall or something?
Well, Mr. Sunday did say something to the effect of "he wasn't a very good farmer".
I'll have to watch the movie again. I really don't think the vaporators are necessary, though.
Ladondorf the planet is very humid, why would someone not try to collect the humidity?
I thought it was great. Can't wait for Rogue 2!
Bilge Khan Rogue One is dead, there will be no Rogue One 2
Darth Binks How about a three 4?
or a three p o?
Bilge Khan Rogue One happens between Star wars Episode 3 and Episode 4 go watch them
Bilge Khan I think Rogue four will be the best one
I would pay to see the last 2 minutes of this film.
Where??? I've been searching all over youtube. I wish my cinema would sell tickets to the last 2 minutes of Rogue One.
I thought that VADERS base was on sullust, because the planet seemed to have more ground and less lava then mustafar
Spartan Gaming I thought Mustafar; but... my second guess was Korriban.
neeerds☺☺☺☺
Spartan Gaming It's mustafar nerds
Spartan Gaming I think the Sullestians would be extinct if vader set up his base there.
Commander Delta, sullest is already a imperial factory planet
The girl in Rogue One one had a storm trooper doll. Rey had a rebel pilot doll. :-)
Potassium sulfate, that's what I thought with K2SO.. (I know it's not the right formula.)
jaws
Thanks for sharing all the easter eggs and connections! I did not catch all those before. You earned a new sub!
There was a planet named Wabino (or something like that) which is an anagram for Obi Wan, and K2SO (I think it was him) said SW0608. I think SW stands for Star Wars, and I'm not sure what 0608 means
Brione Wabino also stands for NAW BOI
It seems like you are the only one here that recognized Wabino!! When I saw it, I knew immediately it was an anagram for Obi Wan!!!! HYPEEEE
Brione Yes, it was called Wobani, and it is an anagram for Obi-Wan Wan
06 08 might be a date, August 6 or June 8 next year might be the release of the trailer for Obi-Wan?
Cant confirm but the ghost can be seen from a top view of the U-wing at yarvin 4. its in the corner
Mehlord I saw that too!
Mehlord I also noticed that, although it wasn't necessarily _The Ghost._
where pls can you tell me what time??
Mehlord well we did hear the name general syndula
10 out of 10 was better than episode 7
Adam Smith so true
Adam Smith nope, ep 7 was alot better
***** in your opinion.
May the 'Member berries be with you
Rogue One being better than Episode 7 is just as much an opinion as Rogue One being worse than Episode 7.
To me, I can't pick a worse one because to me it is like having to pick between Captain America Winter Soldier or Civil War
I notice the work you put in your editing, and its nice- GIVE THE CRATE
Darth Vader is just like all of us. He has to get a bath and get dressed before he can go out in public.
Also, some things you missed:
Berry O in battle front i'm pretty sure those are AT-AT's in the scarif dlc and the AT-ACT's are more in the background
I waited to watch these videos of yours until I saw the movie last night...worth it
WAIT WAIT WAIT.....
Mack Weldon There is a huge time gap of some hours between that and the death star destroying the city.
Mack Weldon facepalm
Holy sith, Vader's scene at the end is worth the price of admission. Crazy that he goes from that to just tapping sticks with Ben soon after though...
Idk why I'm making excuses for it, it's really just because it looks cool at the end of the day - continuity be damned. lol
I loved when Darth Vader came out and started killing the troops!! That was the best scene in star wars Rogue one.
Angel Munoz that was the best scene of all star wars movies. Just badass horror....
There was blue milk. There was milk that was blue.
Tied the universe together
The end scene where everyone is dying made me cry out of nowhere.
Very well made story line and awesome characters.
am i the only one who thought this movie was the best movie of 2016?
lolpeterparker lolson no, you are not
lolpeterparker lolson I'm still trying to decide between civil war and rogue one.
You forgot to mention the Full Metal Jacket Easter Egg, with the freaky guy who shoots out of a plane. :D
"Get some?"
I am one with the force, the force is one with me.
This is by far my favourite Star Wars related film. Feels like the director has so much freedom.
