This movie really put the war in star wars
Agreed.
Best of the Disney made Star Wars movies by far.
@@AeroGold1 yeah but full of forgettable characters. They needed some more scenes like that fire camp scene in Solo. Something to make you care for them.
Mandalorian looks good so far tho. Best thing disney did with starwars so far.
without this movie, star wars would just be...stars
@@AeroGold1 couldn't agree more
rogue one is so underrated. i rarely ever hear people say it’s their favorite Star Wars film, but it’s definitely one of the best!
It's literally one of my favorite movies
Interesting, almost half of my friends say it’s their favorite
It’s easily my fave Star Wars film by far
It is my favourite Star Wars film, by far.
yeah there's a reason for that mate hahahahahahaha
I know the main characters aren’t the most popular but I think rogue one is the best Disney Star Wars film yet. I never expected Disney to kill all of the protagonists
Off but it made the whole story so much better
no it didn't. there's basically no character development whatsoever in this movie so you don't care about the cast when they die. they killed everyone to explain why they don't appear in any other star wars media, it wasn't some "risk" by disney. stop being so naive
@@wolfgangrecordings they also fixed a plot hole long lasted 30 years. Plus that usage of old red-squadron footage is out of this world..
@@wolfgangrecordings It's a war movie. Characters don't sit around and espouse their backstory and motivations. Their character lies in their actions during the movie. Besides...it's not like there was such great characterization in ANH... Lucas just stuck to basic archetypes. The farm boy. The princess. The scoundrel. You're just looking for reasons to have a chapped ass.
At The Accident Solo managed to destroy the whole mythos of Han Solo. With that movie every single achievement of his life occurred in one afternoon. Now, He is like the football player that once won a match in high school , and keeps talking about his 5 minutes of glory during his whole life.
RedNine To be fair, we didn’t need to have that plot hole filled lol.
Anyone remember how emotional the ending was seeing it in the theater for the first time?
I remember how bored and disappointed I was... does that count?
I saw it and then a few hours later the news that Carrie had had a heart attack on the plane came through. I was in bits.
Not going to lie. I teared up
I didn't see it in theatres. TFA drained all of my trust in Disney and Star Wars. I wish I had seen it in theatres though.
@@mykiamoto7145 Same. I expected that they would get away somehow. Then they got incinerated. Really shocked me.
The Vader murder scene was so awesome. I need a "Star Wars Story" for Vader that shows him going from planet to planet, hunting down the remaining Jedi until the death star is completed.
Rogue One was visually beautiful, the beach* scene is great, it's a very good movie imo and loved that they answered the question of how they got the plans and why there was a weak point.
Did you mean *Beach* ?
Not being a smartass ,but don't remember a Bench scene lol
I’d like Samuel L Jackson to return as Master Windu he obviously survived so maybe that can be one of the surviving Jedi who gets hunted down by Vader or the inquisitorius.
@@RegulaRegz732 of course I meant beach.... clearly auto correct.
D Trayer Jr. this is a thing. It’s a comic series
@@sackbot107 that doesnt help my want for a film to be made lol I know of the prequel/future books/shows/comics. I want a Vader murder movie lol
Rogue One is awesome. I rank it right up there with the original trilogy.
There is a brilliant heart to this film; one about the characters, more about what they do, rather than how it looks when they do it.
AND the best two robots.
there is no heart to this film. the characters are, for the most part, vapid and disinteresting. "what they do" looks spectacular, as everything does nowadays, and that's all. rogue one fans are deluded
@@wolfgangrecordings thank you!
I enjoyed Rogue One. It is a great Star Wars film in the tradition of the first episodes released in the 70’s and 80’s. It really helped fill in some of the major gaps between the prequels and the originals. It gave answers to the questions because of the gap between episodes 1-3 and episodes 4-6. It was a very well done movie.
It may just be my favorite SW movie. It's a behind the scenes documentary. Loved it
This did so much for the whole plot. It really makes Episode 4 a lot more understandable.
I just rewatched Rogue One, did’nt enjoy it the first time, but found it amazing now. It really is a star wars story. When the rebel alliance showed up at Scarif, not gonna lie….i got choked up, didnt expect to get so emotional. The cameos are just perfect.
The ghost is also shown in the overhead hanger shot
Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie, easily.
Yes. I agree.
I might agree ( outside of the OT )
I’ll say it - Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars film! There’s just something so special about it among Star Wars movies.
No way did he use Monday to prepare this video.
Rogue One is probably my fav Star Wars movie. It took a world I've loved since childhood and made it better and more "real".
When Rogue one first came out I called it outside of the O.G trilogy the "Most Star Warsy Star Wars movie to have Star Warsed." Because it gives you everything you love about Star Wars often unapologetic in its doing so :).
So this is just a 12 minute advert for a f*cking spreadsheet?
basically yeah
nice
I like how they had the Star wars Rebel cameos
Fr I loved that it really foreshadowed it alot.
Rebels is garbage though
As of now Rogue One is the best Star Wars yet although the ending broke my heart into pieces I may never recover from. Well until I saw baby Yoda.
That wasn't baby Yoda tho ... it was the same species ...
@@RegulaRegz732 a baby "yodian"?
@@RegulaRegz732 baby yoda
Don’t forget that “Baby Yoda” is the 3rd “Yoda Species” (Unknown) we have seen. Yoda, Yaddle (Jedi Council Member), and Now this little thing 👍
cooltriplets_2 I didn’t know what else to call it lol so it’s baby yoda till they tell us differently lmbo
Got to see this on opening day at the cinemas. Got the dvd on day of release & took the day off work & watched it 4 times in a row!!! BEST DAY EVER!!!
the T-15/T-17 line is actually a running joke in the movies. i believe there's a line about the T-16 being marked obsolete in the original trilogy (Luke was supposed to have a T-16 sitting in the "garage" but they couldn't finish building it before shooting so, instead, they had Luke play with a toy model of it)
Rogue One deserves even more credit considering a good chunk of the original cut was re-shot to become the final product.
Hoss Windu why does that give it extra credit
rogue one is my favorite movie of all time
Rogue One is the best film in a long time. It is more adult themed, and has a very good plot with tie ins to the canon movies
Very, very underrated Star Wars movie in my opinion
Rogue one needs more credit. I loved it better then the anakin origins except when he becomes vader.
no it doesn't
@Leopold Black. Let people have their opinions and stfu
Lah’ Mu is a Nemoidian word for “Prosper”
What's "Nemoidian"?
Dominic Crimmings nute gunrays language
Just finished Rogue One for the 2nd time after finishing Andor yesterday.
This movie after Andor makes more sense to me.
It was superb, the actor who plays as Andor is highly underrated.
Enjoyed Andor and Rogue one back to back in last 3 days, what a treat😊
"Described in a few yellow words"
Shows opening crawl to ESB not ANH, lol.
Yes, because there is no opening crawl to Rogue One and the quoted section you have there was him referring to the plot of Rogue One, not ANH. So it was a random grab of Star Wars' opening crawl text they used for the simple visual; it didn't matter which ones they showed since none of them describe the plot to Rogue One.
Rogue One is hands down my favorite star wars film
I just watched this video again after Andor season 1 finished. This movie is even more strong and emotional after it!
"I'm on a diplomatic mission to alderon" Vader like....seriously.....I followed you here from the rebel fight
i live the fact that it features chopper the ghost hera etc because it just brings more “good” to it
Thanks, I’m a huge Star Wars fan, so this is amazing. Again thanks
Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars... and I have seen them all when they initially came out.
Well this just makes me love it more.
Garreth Edwards did such a great job so tv this movie. It’s definitely one of my favorites in the Star Wars line up
absolutely i'm glad that this movie is on Disney+ , awesome stuff, and also a lot of brilliant heart to this film, a lot of stuff they really did on their craft of this movie
Yes, yes, and yes. I missed so many of these. Thanks.
I recommend the book rebel rising for the backstory of Jyn Erso. Its really good
Cmc PRO-ductions is it good?
@@igonzalez0 if I say it's really good, what do you think
@@movieguyproductions4865 that it is better than that hehehe ... Cheers!!
The continuity is just fascinating
Rogue one is my favorite star wars film. PERIODT!
Hammerhead corvettes were stolen by Leia in an episode of Rebels
no, they were stolen by the rebels. Leia didn't steal anything
stolen from leia
7:44 Weird how nobody noticed that the 2 stormtroopers that entered the shuttle got replaced by an Enforcer Droid.
Hmmm. I did not get the sense the broken door that the rebel fleet troopers could not get through was a result of Vader using the force on it. I just thought it was one of those unfortunate things when a ship gets rocked around in battle. What makes you think it was Vader who was keeping it from opening?
8:57 I really went crazy when i saw those guys again!
I cheered for the Star Wars stuff I recognize from Star Wars in a Star Wars movie taking place during the Original Star Wars Trilogy. And I didn’t cheer and got bored when they tried to do something original that doesn’t remind me of Star Wars stuff from a Star Wars movie taking place during the Original Star Wars Trilogy!
I honestly thought rogue one was top 2 of the whole star wars saga.
Excellent video. Certainly this movie has one of the best Vader moments of all the movies.
This was a great video. Love this guys fire!
Rogue One is among my favorites.
"Rogue One" and "Rebels" are the only disney star wars that are worth anything. I LOVE BOTH OF THEM!
You totally forgot about The Mandalorian
@@darthmalus2198 You're right, I forgot. From what I've seen, I won't pay for disney +, it looks and feels like STAR WARS should.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The visuals were on point for a star wars film while also making it somewhat a war documentary.
so good so much information that I did not even know
The end of this movie was so sad. We knew everyone would die as they weren’t in any other films, which just made it more painful.
After seeing this I can’t wait to see Andor on Disney+
This movie gets better with time. I remember wanting to watch the originals immediately after this.
Rogue One is the second best Star Wars movie after Empire Strikes Back. It has everything a good space sifi movie needs. That Vader scene is beyond compare to any other scene in the collection
that was a really good video, gripped me all the way, made me wanna watch rogue again
loved the BWAINO moment
i've seen it twice since
Warwick is pronounced “Worrick”.
its not one of my fav star wars film but this film has so many easter eggs and cool scenes and probably my favorite scene “the hallway scene”
Your favorite scene is Darth Vader being incompetent?
@@andymiller6661 Oh no people like something you don’t 😱 lol 🤡
i rewatched rogue one for the first time since I watched it in cinema. I've been avoiding rewatching it bc I cry everytime I think about this movie.
This movie
Is how you make me love Star Wars
Without the iconic lightsaber duels
The fan service of vader helped definitely but still this was a fantastic movie
Chopper being in this movie makes it so much better.
2:36 I actually spotted that in the movie!
Leia's ship is pronounced Tan Tiv Vee its first named that way in the Radio adaptation.
Maybe an Easter egg that only recently shed light... one of the file names from the vault on Scarif was Black Saber, referencing the fact that the Empire was in possession of the dark saber. Is this actually correct?
Damn all those little details connecting it to other films. Fine attention to detail there.
In MY opinion, it's my favorite movie, PERIOD! Not just of SW, but it's my favorite movie of all time! So so so good!
I'm not sure if it relates directly to troopers talking about T-15s & 17s but in ANH in one of the tractor beam scenes two stormtroopers talk about VT-16s.
Been looking to see if anyone mentioned this :)
Such a coincidence I was literally up to the Death Star destroying Scarif when this video dropped and just got to the credits
I think that k2S0 copied himself into the other droid and he somehow got away
It would be amazing if that happens
thats wut hishe did
Who?
@@krustykfc8911 how it should have ended. They are a great channel. Check em out
Ohhhh them
Im ligit subbed to them
I didnt know they did rouge one tho lol
Literally watched this movie yesterday
given how the movie ends it seems like they already had some early hyperspace tracking. how else would Vader have tracked them down so quickly.
The force
In the book Star Wars from a certain point of view you find out in the first story that the ship was under repair (hence why it was docked in the profundity) and is leaking some easily traceable energy signature. They knew that it would happen and also knew their hyperdrive would break but hoped they could make it to tatooine, dock the ship and change ship. Unfortunately for them it broke just seconds to early, the devastating arrives and the rest is history
i need to rewatch! x
Rogue one movie gives you the beginning that was missing from the first star wars movie to see how it started from the ships shooting at each other what happened before
rogue 1 I'd by far the best Disney star wars film that they have done and I think that it absolutely will stand the test of time.... When it was a kid, and had the trilogy on VHS, I used to watch them over and over and over. I can do that with rogue one. I think that it's done so well. From the plot... To the time period... It's amazing
Rouge One is a really good Star Wars story. Maybe not a full Star Wars movie, but at least its story. It feels like the original Trilogy
There's no movie called Rouge One.
Rogue One is one of the best star wars movies!'
I think Destroyer of Worlds would have been a pretty good title for this movie. And I wish it didn't have the hit you over the head cameos
It didn’t hit you over the head…it was making small connections from the prequels and the original trilogy
When they are naming project names they also say "black saber" which is from the books.
Love you guys. Got no moneys now, but when I do, I'll give you some of it.
I am seeing Star Wars IX opening night.
Ah, so you're the one
I honestly thought this was a re-upload
I liked listening to you talk about this movie way more than I liked the actual movie.
It's one of my favorites
If Jin’s mom had been a better shot and killed Krenick, this would have been so different!!😂
Awesome way to tie productivity software with the movies!
This is the Vader we knew was around and wanted to see!
I almost spit out my coffee at 2:10
BWAINO!!
The escape pods were gonna be used by the crew and dignitaries to escape when they arrived but in their rush to escape they ended up to far out from the planet which allowed Vader to catch them.
Good job...i did not think about Oppenheimer....
Not so much "easter eggs" as good writing & consistent film making...
runlarryrun77 i agree, but the movie wasnt made for theories and easter eggs to be fair, it was made as a straightforward story
Please do the OG films! I’d love to watch those.
As you can see in Rogue One there is a tree here. Which is a nod to the trees found on Naboo in Episode 2.
I love this film!
petition to get the same team that worked on this movie to make the rest of the star wars films?
I cried at the end lolol
I feel that Rogue One was pretty dismissed but I rank it in my top three Star Wars films after Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.
