In canon the Sith don’t use synthetic crystals, they bleed normal kyber crystals turning them into their red color
And then some powerful Jedi can heal them and create a white lightsaber
True
Lol, in old canon they did
Tony Anthony true I was just sayin because he was talking about the current canon lol
What does bleed mean
I love how Luke and Kylo remember the same incident but have a totally different take on what happened. What they recall is true for both of them... true, from a certain point of view.
Yes! Probably my favorite plot point from the movie. I love how the haters seem to think Kylo's version is the truth
Same applies for the Rebels and Empire, as the rebels in our vision are the good guys, but that's not true...
From a certain point of view.
Ok Ben "from a certain point of view"
@@chagis100 fr. Haters post the memory from KYLO'S VIEW where Luke looks angry and then whine that they ruined him.
People like to forget about when Luke force chokes that guard in ROTJ.
I've always thought adout that and never understood it.
Cuz Luke started embracing dark usages of the force but without being tempted to succumb entirely.
Sort of like how Mace Windu invented Vaapad, which is allowing anger and hatred to flow through you while fighting to make you more effective. Like Mace, Luke never fully transitioned to the dark side, he merely sampled it.
Yeah, but they were just green pigs.
This is a really late comment *but*, in an interview about return of the jedi roughly 30 years ago, Lucas stated that Luke didn’t force choke the pigman thingies but he mind-tricked them to think that they were being force choked. I have no idea what the difference is honestly but it seems less dark than if he actually force-choked him.

At 6:45, notice that Luke using a bit of his X-Wing in his hut is another parallel to Episode 5, where Yoda has used parts of his escape pod that brought him to the planet to build his hut.*

Kylo Ren- "I'll try spinning! That's always a good trick!"
Like the commentary here for this movie I'll try spinning it in a positive way to make it out like it's a good movie. ...lol But it's NOT
Since Rey is usually a staff fighter, they would be stupid to not give her a double sided light saber in the next movie
So true
They probably wont unfortunately.
Oh yeah....
Now that would be awesome

The island is protected because the puffins go there to mate. Instead of trying to paint them all out from every shot, they made a Star Wars version of them ☺️🤓
@@DearxMyxSongs that’s what he said…

The use of "laser sword" is also a call back to anakin calling it that in episode one, implying the need for a hero or a legend is childish...and a path to the dark side

To answer your first question, the actor who plays C-3PO hates the red arm and prefers his gold C-3PO arm.
"He's Jar Jar obviously!" 😆😆
There is also a link to Episode 1; The Phantom Menace when a young Anakin Skywalker called Qui Gon Jinn’s lightsaber a “laser sword” a lot like Luke did in this film.

The glaring plotholes don't become more evident with each viewing?
Also Luke Calling it a laser sword is a call back to Phantom Menace when Anakin calls Qui Gons weapon a laser sword
The fades between Kylo and Leia's faces before Kylo decides not to blow her up is the exact same as the fades between Luke and Vader's faces at the end of Empire.
The technical term is a 'soft cut' - a very fast dissolve. :)
I think it's supposed to imply the same kind of proximity force connection

from ben's pov, he might've felt abandoned by his father and mother. then, the one person he trusted, appears to be, trying to kill him in his sleep. his fight always seemed personal, not sith allegiance.

Yes. I wasnt looking at screen at that time and I was thinking Oh his daddy is there, And look and its Luke. Glad some else thought it too.
I really love Billie Lourd’s heavy involvement here. She’s like an apprentice to Leia.
Mark said in a interview of how much she reminds him of Carrie. When asked how he said "well for an example she was an hour and a half late to the airport." That alone tells so much about their personalities.
I didn't like her in TFA but now there seems to be a real reason to keep her around.

Luke says laser sword instead of lightsaber to mock the Jedi as he let go of the force and says for the Jedi to end
Revenge of the Sith, definitely my favorite.
Revenge of the sith is my second favorite star wars movie. Empire strikes back is my favorite
Sith don't use synthetic crystals anymore. That's EU/ legend material and we have a Disney canon story where Darth Vader bleeds an organic kyber crystal to turn it red. It's in the Darth Vader comics.
Bakunaga yeah that pissed me off too
Disney Canon is shit
And Ahsoka book. This channel is great but the gotta know their shit when it comes to star wars.
Do u watch comicstorian too ?😃
P.S if u do like this comment.
I watch ComicsExplained but I have seen some of Comicstorians' stuff. For the organic kyber stuff I think I learned it from StarWarsTheory, StarWarsExplained, or StupendousWave
One of My favorite parts is when Luke walks out of the Gate of the Crait Base to face the First Order. That seen was more Symbolism than I expected :,-)
I love that the kids are playing on the floor with Star Wars figures. Totally took me back to my own childhood.
Yoda being serious in the prequals makes sense. He grew more humble in his exile, turning him into the more funny, down to earth Yoda in Empire and Return. His failure and the failure of the Jedi helped him not take everything so seriously.
I seriously don't get these thumbnails...

The tradition of having the Wilhelm Scream from past Star Wars movie wasn't applied to this movie :(
Golden Chalupa it is
Yet again, Rian Johnson thumbing his nose at tradition. Thank god, because that particular tradition was dumb.
Rian Johnson seems to have gone out of his way to destroy EVERY tradition in Star Wars.

Pre rise of Skywalker: oh that is so cool!
Post rise if Skywalker: Yeah but nah
Hahahaha, this last scene with this boy from Looper made me laugh so hard.... Kylo's damned
Sith don't use synthetic crystals anymore, that's now just a legend, they pour dark side energy into cyrstals they took from jedi they defeted and 'make them bleed'
Gotta love how the mutiny and Finn's side plot wouldn't have happened if Admiral Holdo had just shared her plan with Poe. But instead she trusts a soldier, who just got demoted for violating orders, to just follow orders. 🤦 She apparently didn't even tell Leia her plan since she has to in form her just before Leia leaves that she is not leaving with her.
The kid at 44:05 used the force at the end of the movie to grab the broom
The looper part tho
"The first order are screwed"
I just got into Star Wars this week! My fav is revenge of the sith!
You sir are correct
Much Yes
Good choice
I still think that Ben-Kylo turn is weak, this tale had so much potential to be explained by Luke panicking, reacting badly and shit hits the fan and we forget about the knights of Ren.
Luke mentions the knights of ren. He says to rey that kylo took some students and then killed the rest. Those few students are the knights of ren.
Bruce Wayne
Yeah i thought that was obvious
Merry Christmas everyone and happy holidays
You gotta do Fight Club. No one has an in depth one anywhere near as well as you could do it.
i have a feeling that the two executioner troopers were the english princes...
the kid that force-pulled the broom isn't portrayed by the same actor from looper
looper was probably made before that kid was born XD

I'd love it if Snoke is an exiled whill, a force entity, a chaotic presence with aspects of both poles of the force
I know more about star wars lore than you
I just rewatched it and saw that the kid at the end used the force to get the broom. Absolutely wild.

@@Katy-sr9ts Not true, me and my friend saw it and wanted our money back. That was not a Star Wars movie. You can't play with the lore and nature of the way things work in that universe for the convienence of making cool imagery.
If there was no toxic second wave feminism, sideplots that made sense, people who have military experience, lightsaber action, and have Snoke die in 9 not in 8 by Kylo's hand.... Would of potentially made this movie rival episode 6.
To bad it is garbage

My girlfriend fell asleep during finns story. The lucky bitch!!!
That Han impression was really good!
This was so cool! Also, I don't know if it's a connection, but when Jynn was reading through the projects in the cidatel tower on Scarif, she reads one called "Hyperspace Tracking". This might be a connection to the First Orders ability to track the Resistance through Hyper Space.
I'm pretty sure it is, and the whole point that line exists?

DTinaglia Studios you said best instead of worst.
There’s absolutely no way the Rey parentage reveal is truth.. Either Kylo was lying, or he was lied to..
Harry Ghosh possible that JJ will go back to his original plan and overall RIan but that would be equally bad at this point.

Siren is actually a reference to manatees, the creature they were based on, which belong to the family Sirenia.
Ladies, ladies, please. Its a reference to both of their animal counterpart and a sarcastic name.
More like Walruses because they can get on land manatees cant and there flippers resembles walruses flippers
2 years later, I still think you're too optimistic lol
who cares? Liking things is a hell of a lot more fun than not liking things. When it comes to something as inconsequential as liking a movie, you can't really be "too optimistic." If finding ways to enjoy things instead of wallowing in negativity is now considered "too optimistic" that's pretty sad.

It has been confirmed that BB-8 did say the "I have a bad feeling about this". They explain that all droid lines are originally regular lines so actors can work off them easily, and then get mass edited to become droid-speak. It was in an interview with either Rian or Pablo
I think in the cave scene, the line of Reys could represent the path of the dark side. When Rey went down that path to the end, she realized that the dark side couldn't give her what she wanted.

No it was relating to anakin..
Your right about RotS. When Anakin turns on Mace Windu and joins the dark side really was an emotional moment in the movie. And when Obi-Wan tells Anakin he was supposed to bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness. That was a little bit of a tear jerker for me even though I knew it was going to happen. Thank god Ewan McGregor nailed his part as Obi-Wan in a bad trilogy.
A slave kid who can use the force, we have seen that before so I dont think the First Order needs to worry

laser sword is also a line from kid anakin in phantom menace when he asks qui gon if hes a jedi because he saw his laser sword

Takeout Masaki Yes, the young kid did use the Force to get the broom. I missed it the first time I saw it. I think it alludes to the fact that anyone can be a Jedi/Hero. It doesn't need blood ties. Also a sort of reminder that, the Force users in the Galaxy aren't just magically created, the Galaxy is littered with people who can be taught to use their abilities and the possibilty of other Force isers appearing is still very much alive.

I’m a massive fan and you can tell that Voss is digging deep to not let his true feelings shine through on this one. What a pro. Rian Johnson is a great director but he isn’t a Star Wars fan.
