This is unironically my favourite of all the star wars films. It's dark, it's tragic, and it's beautiful. Especially after watching the Clone Wars and reading the novellisation
Unironically ironic. But I sooo agree. This film defined my childhood and cinema for me, it was and still will be my favourite film ever. It might be rivalled by Endgame, but I just love how it has the back story from Ep1 and 2 plus the forwards story of 456. A film I will tear up watching in 30 years time

Yeah that's exactly what Padme was saying. It had nothing to do with Leia's Rogue One "...hope." line. Padme was mirroring Luke from Return of the Jedi- they both believe there is still good in Anakin.

Becoming a master would have let Anakin learn more things about the force that was hidden from the knights and padwans. Anakin believed that he could figure out how to save Padme with that knowledge. That's why he wanted to be a master.

Return of the Jedi Luke vs Vader is my favorite. The simplicity is balanced with power and ferocity. What makes these movies great to me is how much they draw me into the scene. ROTS fights puts up a wall that removes the viewer from the scene and makes us casual observers rather than participants.

I don't think Padme's final line is intended to be "I know there's still...hope." I think it fits better for it to be a parallel of Luke's line: "I know there's still...good in him."

Anakin Was raised from 8 to believe he was the chosen one. He was told he special among jedi. Yet he was never treated as even wanted. The council openly made it known he was unwanted or trusted. Even in ROTS he was being treated as unimportant untrustworthy and unwanted. By everyone except palpatine. Palpatine saw the jedi mistreating him from the start and slowly fed that flame.
Yea my theory has always been that the council was going to promote him to the rank of master shortly anyway, and Sidious knew that and decided to force him onto the Coucil a little sooner. Which he knew would anger them and cause them to NOT grant him the rank he obviously deserved, which would heighten his frustration and cause him to lash out, which basically ended his groundwork phase of turning Anakin against the council.
And right before going to the Chancellor's little office place windu says if you are right about him being the sith lord, you will then have gained my trust, meaning that he probably would've became a master and also in a twisted way is probably why windu didn't see Anakin's betrayal coming as he was right about Palpatine being the sith and therefore windu now trusted more than ever, exactly when he should've had his doubts

As he said this, he turned and looked at Anakin. This is referencing the backstory where Sidious did this to Shmi to create Anakin.

You totall forgot to mention the obvious sperm-and-egg symbolism of the opera visuals. Palpatine talks about creating life, looks at Anakin as he does so, and in the background you see a gigantic spermcell-like thing enter a gigantic egg.

Hands down the best Star Wars movie ever made, the next best one is empire strikes back. Usually movies can’t even make their sequels too the original but Star Wars managed to do it with the prequels, at least for my generation in their 20’s
a small addition to the brilliant description of the lightsaber fight between the masters and palpatine: The only reason why Mace Windu was able to survive and then get the upper hand on palpatine was because his fighting style (forgot the name) is based on countering the enemy's. Meaning that the stronger the enemy is, the more effective is Windu's style, therefore nullifying the sheer power of palpatine.

You forgot that part of the reasons for Anakin being so questionable of the pregnancy and Obi-wan visiting Padme is that the novel hints that he thought an affair was going on and that is why Obi-Wan was brought to kill him. His paranoia, anger, pride, weaknesses, etc. all lead to his downfall rather than just "All about Padme and not being a Master." You can couple this more with Ahsoka as we learn from TCW.
Also, idk if this means much, but the lights in Palpatine’s office look a lot like Vulture Droids, kind of indicating how he’s playing both sides of the war.

Anaki is angry about the Jedi master thing cause of 2 things: 1) the jedi are using him same as palpatine and 2) Jedi masters are allowed access to the most deep knowledge the Jedi have about the force and holocron that Jedi knights don't have access to. So anakin wants all the knowledge he can to try to save padme

I just rewatched revenge of the Sith and I noticed that at the end when Luke is being delivered, Owen is standing looking at the double sunset in the same position as Luke does many years later
You forgot that part of the reasons for Anakin being so questionable of the pregnancy and Obi-wan visiting Padme is that the novel hints that he thought an affair was going on and that is why Obi-Wan was brought to kill him.
His paranoia, anger, pride, weaknesses, etc. all lead to his downfall rather than just "All about Padme and not being a Master." You can couple this more with Ahsoka as we learn from TCW.

Obi Wan had the high ground, so later, when Luke is on the walkway in RotJ, Vader throws his lightsaber to get him down. lol
the trap was in a deleted scene in which oby and anakin get trapped in light rays the fight some droid and the get to palpatine
