I got the feeling it's been a REALLY LONG TIME since a ship has been to At Attin. The shock on the parents faces when the Supervisor announces the ship, and the amount of grass covering the landing pad felt suspicious to me. The fact that there's SO MANY vaults full of credits too.
Yep I thought the same. Lends a little more cred to the theory that the Supervisor is just a droid running on auto; a human would question why they'd not seen anyone in so long.
A fully automated planet where everyone is keeping secrets, could be self sustaining, just going on for years after years after years, the human generations just handing over their secrets and not knowing what is going on in the galaxy....
I'm impressed whenever kid actors cry on cue, like Wim did. I was surprised Jod shot Brutus in cold blood, chopped up SM-33, but then gently nudged 33's rat over so he didn't step on it. At-Attin has 1139 vaults the size of Ft. Knox! That's 1 more than THX-1138.
My take on SM-33 joining the kids isn't that the code is childish, but that he really wanted to side with them. His programing binds him to a set of codes, and he got himself to accept the childish logic so that he could do what he actually wanted to do. Which included punching Jod. Jod underestimated that SM-33 did still have a will, and could bend the rules to fit what he wanted. Also, really liked Jod being chillingly cold. That is some villain stuff.
Yea I thought the same thing about 33, he grew attached to the kids, especially Fern, so he just found a loophole to side with them. This is especially apparent in ep. 5
What if SM-33 is the one who created these codes/laws in the first place. 33 did say “close enough”; so how can a droid who runs off code be able to make the decision colloquial and context wise. Me may be Rennod itself.
I don’t think anyone has been to the planet in a long time to collect, as the grass had grown over the vault port. And everyone seemed completely caught off guard it was there.

The way the episode ended before we got a reaction to the blue saber from the parents is so smart and feels so deliberate. Almost makes me believe the finale begins with one of them saying “welcome Master Jedi, thank you for bringing our kids home” and creates a complicated two way deception game with the kids and Jod.
Exactly. Lol right from the beginning. 33 diddnt like Jod, threw that empty bowl down and said to “clean it up droid” and 33 pushed it off the table, that and the fact that pirate code has always been pretty loose so claimsies…sounds good “🤖🤜🏼🥴”
I think Jod is a little too old to be one of the Order 66 younglings. He's seems to be about the same age or slightly older than Ahsoka. So maybe he's a victim of the Clone Wars itself. A Jedi left behind to die in war, a survivor of Order 66 in the field, or maybe he just grew disillusioned with the war and became a pirate
I’m with you, I don’t think Jod was a youngling. I do think he was at least a Padawan during Order 66 and becoming a pirate was at first a way to hide until he truly became a pirate.
does anybody else think that the communication buoy resembles E.T.'s space ship? when the parents are running through the woods it also reminds me of when e.t. is fleeing back to his ship just to see them leave him behind.

I personally think the supervisor is Tak Rennod. His ship was still there in hibernation mode, ready to go for a quick escape if needed. But things went his way, he became the Supervisor (probably by nefarious means) and then decided he liked being in charge of an entire planet, having his every whim catered too, so he “settled down” from the pirate life in order to be a “king”. If it is a droid, then maybe it’s one that Captain Rennod put in place to rule even after he died. Either way, I think he is or was the supervisor at some point in At-Atin

So if the mint is making old republic credits in such quantity how is it that other people outside of the planet haven’t seen the credits in so long? And why are they even printing older currency?
Because you can tell no ships have been there for a couple hundred years or more.... I think a droid is running this whole planet and everybody's out of touch.... So they've just been printing old republic money
The planet has an impression of the Old Repuplic era, like the murals on the walls, and the utopian style. The colours and simple design on the lightsaber tells me it's a relic from the Old Republic. On the other hand, when you examine the coin fiches, you see a High Republic logo on it. It looks like the logo is added afterwards on the fiches. That could hint that a High Republic era faction took over or discovered the planet to fund a campaign. Maybe for the seperatist droid army? That might explain why the planet is controlled with droids.
I still can't quite track Jod's movements in how he got onto the ship. A lot of people are saying force speed but I keep seeing the cargo door on the ship being nearly half shut before he can even stand up. That's a really small window to act.
16:54 i just find it hard to believe that any of that particular group of kids survived Anakin's attack. Also I kind of feel we dont need yet another survivor from the temple during order 66, but with all the references to him having at least some training so far seems im wrong about that.
The episode was so awesome iam getting so excited for the finale i hope the kids will defeat jod and his pirate crew maybe wim will connect with the force and defeat jod that would awesome to see.
With some believing the supervisor may be a droid. A fun theory would be a droid that knew of the old Republic, a droid that could be a pirate captain, a droid that wants to rule all meatbags... HK-47
It does look like.a practised style though, like he was going through the motions, the confidence seem to leave him afterwards.... be interesting to see if he can deflect blasters.... that will be the tell
Brother he can use the force. It's probably that he hasn't used it in a long time, and has never used one to fight anybody. Unless he can move things with a parlor trick and some strings he shouldn't ever be able to use the force without training. Not even Anakin or Luke could do that.
@ A lot of people reach out to the Force in their own way, without training you maybe get one "parlor trick" based on what you needed the most at some point, like Anakin's piloting skills, the random fortune tellers that can do prophecies but only when they don't want to, and then the kids that learn to move something with their mind, pulling food over to themselves, or just picking up a broom from across the room.
@@piggynatorcool668 Anikin could definitely use the force without training. Qui-gon himself said it would be impossible for a human to race pods otherwise. There's other small examples, but usually what they are doing is not very concentrated. I'd guess Jod had some training by someone, but just basics essentially.
I belive that the supervisor might actually be captain rennod I mean it kinda makes sense in my eyes seeing he had his ship went into At Attin and his the ship might be off on it but it’s worth a shot haha
At Attin kinda reminds me of the clone wars episode "Mystery of a Thousand Moons" - Season 1, Episode 18, where Ani and Obi have to travel to the planet Lego to retrieve a root to cure the blue shadow virus. On that planet the people believed that if you tried to leave the planet a deity would destroy your ship. It turned out it was an energy field left by separatists to keep the planet trapped and isolated.
I think we are going to learn that At Attin is another example of how the Jedi abandoned their mission and the people they swore to protect. They got swept up in conflict and left At Attin to the droids to run. The planet has been operating on auto pilot since that time. I think young Anakin is in the intro to remind us what separating children from their families can lead to - and that Jod has been on some type of similar journey of loneliness, betrayal and loss. While it seems unlikely that Jod can be redeemed it is still possible if we learn there is some type of common enemy - like the banking clan. It is very likely that historically a banking clan member would be "the emissary" which would give them exclusive access to the planet and 'the supervisor".
i wonder if theyre bringing the concept from the legends books the corellian trilogy, where it was revealed that the system was assembled using gigantic engines that took up large swaths of the planets surface, and then buried because there was no more use for them i think that might be how at attin and the other planets were created
So are we assuming Jod jumped on the closing ramp to get on the ship before it cleared the docking bay? Seemed odd that he got onboard when he was last seen on the deck saying "no, no" as it was taking off. Suspension of disbelief I guess, like much of this series requires.
It is possible that Rennod may have even become the Advisor on At Attin. Might be a big twist at the end. There has been a lot of mention of him and secrecy about who is in charge here that leads me to believe they might do something like this.
My reading was that there hasn’t been a Republic Emissary to the planet for a long long time, as non one seemed to know about the opening for the ship to land on and also the amount of Republic credits that currently had in the vaults.
If you look at how in awe everyone was when the ship arrived suggests that they haven't had an emmesary arrive in their lifetime. Also the dirt and plant growth on the landline platform, no one has seen that work.
Idk if Jod not stepping on the critter that uses SM-33's head as a home, is meant to keep it PG for the kids or to signal that he has a nugget of "good-ish" still in there that will come out later when the stakes change or something like that.
My wild theory next episode. Wim’s dad will save the kids and parents from Jod. I think he’s a force user. He will fight Jod. Jod will fall into the mine pit (like Palps in ROTJ). Clues were given in episode 1 with Wim’s jedi story on his tablet. Also, in reference to Fern’s story to Wim where a kid skipped assessment test and the “proctor” took kid down the mines to work and never seen again. That instant who came out the proctor’s office was Wim’s dad. 😄
I got the feeling it's been a REALLY LONG TIME since a ship has been to At Attin. The shock on the parents faces when the Supervisor announces the ship, and the amount of grass covering the landing pad felt suspicious to me. The fact that there's SO MANY vaults full of credits too.
Right, the grass being overgrown, and all those people standing on it, unprepared for the opening sequence, means they hadn’t experienced that before.

1:41 of course you skipped Leia saying it in empire. 😂😂
If you reverse the 3's, then SM-33 is Smee.
I still can't quite track Jod's movements in how he got onto the ship. A lot of people are saying force speed but I keep seeing the cargo door on the ship being nearly half shut before he can even stand up. That's a really small window to act.
that threw me off as well...
the parents running with the message thru the woods gave me avengers passing round the infinity gauntlet vibes
Prayers for everyone on the team. I hope everyone is staying safe.
HK-47
The planet reminds me of the Hapan Consortium from the Legends books. It's cool that they kinda brought back the idea of the Hapes to Disney Star Wars
Stay safe, you rockstars!
Excellent work.
Stay safe and keep doing the good work!
the satillites remind me of the storm barrier from the high republic series and how they were described, perhaps something similar?
Prayers to everyone in LA!
I got sack boy from little planet vibes (PS3) from Stephen Fry's voice of the supervisor.
Please stay safe my prayers are with you guys
No mention of how Jod is swinging that lightsaber around? He's holding it pretty funny and far away from him. Not naturally at all.
I think I saw him doing the Kylo thing of just dragging it across the ground before it cut to credits too.
The "at" planets remind me of the Dyson sphere concept.
Jupiter’s core is theorized to maybe be solid.
All legends are based in truth... ;)
It is very likely that historically a banking clan member would be "the emissary" which would give them exclusive access to the planet and 'the supervisor".
i wonder if theyre bringing the concept from the legends books the corellian trilogy, where it was revealed that the system was assembled using gigantic engines that took up large swaths of the planets surface, and then buried because there was no more use for them
i think that might be how at attin and the other planets were created
I’ve got a bad feeling about this is such a good line because to me it shows that everybody is a little force sensitive and can get that bad feeling
So are we assuming Jod jumped on the closing ramp to get on the ship before it cleared the docking bay? Seemed odd that he got onboard when he was last seen on the deck saying "no, no" as it was taking off.
Suspension of disbelief I guess, like much of this series requires.
Definitely copping the Neal shirt it’s adorable
SM-33 holds the title of "Best Punch Ever Thrown in Star Wars"
My wild theory next episode. Wim’s dad will save the kids and parents from Jod. I think he’s a force user. He will fight Jod. Jod will fall into the mine pit (like Palps in ROTJ). Clues were given in episode 1 with Wim’s jedi story on his tablet. Also, in reference to Fern’s story to Wim where a kid skipped assessment test and the “proctor” took kid down the mines to work and never seen again. That instant who came out the proctor’s office was Wim’s dad. 😄
The whole thing is Goonies with Treasure Planet/Island. Still loving it though 😊
