I have been feeding my cats Kirkland Adult Maintenance for years plus either Fancy Feast or Friskies. I bought this the other day at Costco, and none of my cats are touching it. They normally get excited about their wet food which they get once a day, and they don't like it. I don't want to return it because they will throw it out (I used to work there). So I will probably just donate it to the Humaine Society.
My outdoor cats also get the Kirkland dry food (indoor cats on prescription food). We've been through many varieties of wet food, trying to find choices that all the cats will eat. It's nice of you to donate!
We have 3 cats, none of which have been fussy about their food before. None of them would touch this. The other thing is the food has tiny black specks in it. We've never seen moist cat food with black specks in it before. Maybe we got a bad batch. I think we'll have to discard this food. I'd hate to donate it, given that not one of our cats wanted it. I doubt other cats would either.
Thanks for this very informational video! I wish this food was available through a non-membership venue, but knowing you gave it a good review will hopefully mean those that do shop at Costco will take advantage of it.
My cat doesn’t like it. It’s in an aluminum container and lid. It has canola; or sunflower oil that’s toxic. Why can’t they leave the vegetable oils out and use steel?!
If you have the means, highly recommend incorporating food that doesn’t contain fish. Long term fish consumption in cats can lead to hyperthyroid & a host of other issues!
We've been putting them in our recycling bin, assuming they are recyclable. But the containers don't seem to have the recycling symbol on them. We've already recycled the box, so I will check the box the next time we get a box at Costco (in about 2 weeks)
So, I bought the Loaf food for our Dogs... working out well. And I picked up this Pate' stuff for our cat... But I'm concerned it's close to 1000 calories (over 900) per dish. Our cat is about 14 lbs and doesn't need that much food. I've never fed him wet food before. Does it need refrigeration if we give him 1/3rd at a time?
I bought this yesterday at Costco for $34.99 (or $32.99?) for the 45 pack. My boy kitty loves it- it looks like very high quality food. My girl kitty is pickier, so I'll stick to her Fancy Feast chunky. I'm glad I found this at Costco- it's a lower price per can than FF, and seems to be of high quality.

My cats would not TOUCH the Pate. Ick. It was grossest of all pates I've ever seen.
My cats like it better when I smash it a bit for them. I didn’t think it looked any grosses or that much different from any other pates.
