If you are wondering about season 2 don't. The anime was made only to promote the light novel there will be no season 2. I recommend you to read the light novel from volume 1 since anime changed a lot of things
Because it doesn't quite fit the original story line, I actually don't want a season 2. The way it ends on that quote from him, rather than almost being a story of redemption like in the manga/LN it's almost like the origin story for a great villain, at least to me. And I think continuing the story would ruin that, I view this anime the same way I view Joker (2019).
