In Volume 7, Ayanokouji mentioned that at first he felt pain seeing other suffering but as it happened again and again, he just felt cold nothing else. Also in volume 11, Sakayangi said in her monologue that a person cannot do more than what their Genes would allow. Sakayangi's Father Chainman Sakayangi also told her at that time, that Ayanokouji is a normal kid as his father and mother weren't anything exceptional. But Sakayanagi Arisu was different since she inherited her mom's genes. Sakayanagi's mom waw very intelligent.

The second season (if it comes) will suffer the same fate as Murder on the Orient Express. It is a more like a reading material. Anime won't work. Well of course volume 7 is an exception. I have the LN so I know. I would recommend you to read it too. It was worth reading. If you want a super minor spoiler, it is:

Kiyotaka is the trial (some kind of something) of the white room. where people stay there for a few days and everything is white. Usually the one who stayed there will have some weird hallucination or something like that probably illness or heart attack. And I think Kiyotaka is the last who survived? idk :"(

White room is an organisation which makes young children very powerful and smart. They do this by controlling the environment and rigorous traning .
There are 5 generations, in which the 5th one is the hardest(u think so not quite sure)and only Ayanokoji survives easily.
Many of them collapse as shown.
The reaso. He hated his father,is because he sent him there and alos is the CEO if you can call it. He then runs away after it closes for a year.he then goes to the advancing and nurture school (dk the school name)to live a 'normal life' . But then Chabashira (homeroom of class D(

In the LN they show his thoughts and also some of his friends. The anime and LN are different . I also suggest to read the Light Novels since they are good.

1. Houtarou Oreki (Hyouka)
2. Hachiman hikigaya (Oregairu)

It wouldn't matter to ayanakoji as he is the only specimen who was infinitly close to perfection,and after ayanakoji Kiyotaka's true powers were know to the white room they set thier goals to exceed him so they told the new children of white to just supass that monster but no one could actually get half close to him

The manga isn't even properly up to date with the novel. English translation for manga is midway through volume 4 and the Novel is on Volume 18. The manga is way too far behind if you want to know what happens after the Anime.
