- Part TWO of Google Earth! In this video, I show you how to import waypoint from google earth into your electronics. This has been one of my "Top-Secret Lures" in my career for several years. I hope this helps you take your fishing to the next level. Let me know what you think!
💻 FOR PC USERS: 💻
When saving the waypoint from Google Earth, click 'Save As' and save it into your Documents Library folder. Then move when you convert it to GPX on GPS Visualizer, it will save to your downloads folder. You can take it from there and move it back to your Documents Library if you'd like.
In this video when you see me using two fingers to click save as, it's just the Mac version of a standard right-click on a PC. Let me know in the comments if you have any other questions about how to do it on a PC.

I felt the same way when you posted the first google earth video. I use it A LOT for finding hidden ponds. Im glad to be a part of your channel. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond. You are a very respected and inspiration angler to me. Google earth is amazing. If it was not for google earth, I would of never found the best place, and that os saying a lot to fish. Eventually one day I'll actually update and and make some videos from here on summer time fishing on Hartwell.

From us old guys that used to find them the hard way and use triangulation to get back on em, this is killer. Been using it for years ever since I found out about google earth. Edwin, thanks again for caring for others who love to go bass fishing. I have already been spending time on Google earth looking for areas to catch fish. I talked to you about getting my boat in so I can get back on the water and I thank you for the information. Hopefully I can do that in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime I will be looking for way places to put way points. Eucha is a lake about 45 minutes the house. I would like it if you could Google earth that lake. This is a game changer. This is how you become a champion, but thinking outside the box lock Edwin. I’m going to take this knowledge and put it to work on my home Lake and see what happens. I’ll probably spend 3 or 4 hours making waypoints. Thank you Edwin!

Bringing tech into fishing with the computerized units we have available makes so much sense. No more running down a lake with a map blowing in your face. Increased excitement because the high definition units make the marked spots leap out. One still has to catch the fish. I was on Pool 8 MS River 2 weeks after the FLW. Found a few great spots but using your suggestions certainly eliminates dead water. That pool was 6-12 inches lower than a few weeks earlier. Can save a lower unit too! Think about using any of 7-8-9 pools. Great videos.

When we only had maps, I enlarged the entire map of our tournament lake. Two of us studied the map for weeks and found two unique humps. My friend went to the nearest one from launch. I couldn't get my boater to go to the other one. My friend's boat weight was almost 40 lbs off the one spot. The other spot remained untouched. Summer night tournament. Second place was three fish. Thank you for sharing this, I love it, and love spending time at home researching. Very awesome...
I’ve been doing this for a couple of years and thought I was getting pretty good. Watching your knowledge has humbled me to see that I have so much to learn. I don’t know if you would want to do a lake that might give away a competitive advantage, but Falls lake in N.C would be interesting. There are some very good drawn down photos of it. Thanks.

Hey Edwin, another great. I am really enjoying these break down videos. I have watched yours and a few other anglers. One thing I have noticed is the breakdowns usually happen on a reservoir or a lake that has a river system running through. As someone who lives in central Florida I would love to see how you prepare and break down one of our chain of lakes as I’m sure it’s a much different breakdown. Either the Kissimmee chain or the Harris chain. Things you look for, what you might target, which lake in the chain you would spend most of your time in, etc..I sincerely enjoy the knowledge you provide in these videos and I really appreciate you taking the time to make them.

Awesome! I get all caught up studying cattle sale catalogs for Black Angus. Now I'm a google earth pro junkie. Made the drive out to Eakly Oklahoma a couple springs back to look at cattle. Back to fishing, I'm trying to learn a beast called Lake Hartwell. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for sharing such useful information. Best of luck this fall with the pecan harvest. Anther great video! I’m in East Tennessee where BASS, MLF, and all pro tours stop at Chickamauga lake... but not many talk about Watts Bar Lake just up river. It’s a huge lake with deep ledges, trees, current, rocks... whole 9 yards. I feel lost on it though. Would love to see you break it down.

Great vid Edwin, I learned this from a crappie pro a while back but not the "how To". To the Hummingbird Helix guys you must download humminbirdpc and convert your .gpx file before you try to load your SD card. Also use a 32Gig or lower card(ask me how I know), now subscribed. would love to see Lake Tawakoni. Tough lake for me 2014 was 10 feet low

Would Love a breakdown of Summersville Lake in West Virginia. It is primarily a smallmouth fishery but there are some nice largemouth that are caught in the spring. In the winter, they drop the water 100 feet or more. Thanks. Keep up the great work!

Clearlake, Ca. I just had two big tournaments there and it was hard to utilize this technique because the changes in water level there do not fluctuate very much. Would really be interested to see how you’d break it down differently than I using Google Earth. I ended up watching a lot of old Bassmaster Series video on YT from 2003 and 2007 to piece together known landmarks when building my fishing plan. I will say using google did however help with seeing the differences in water clarity which is one aspect of using google earth you had mentioned. So I was able to see some outside and inside weedlines as well as when the algae bloom hits the lake and how it affects different parts of the lake in certain seasons. I think with Clearlake, Ca being arguably one of the Top 5 lakes in the nation, it would be cool to see you break down a lake here in the West Coast for some of us Cali boys. Tight lines Sir and best to you and the fam. 🇺🇸🎣🤙🏽
On lakes that don’t fluctuate that’s what I have to do look- for grass lines, points, guts and ditches. I’ve also seen rock piles and brush piles if the lake is clear enough.

Thanks for the tips. I just installed my HDS Live 9 and 12 in my Nitro. Now time to use this information to help my game. One lake i struggle with is Ross Barnett Reservoir in Jackson MS. I tend to stay up river cause i don't know how to fish that big of a body of water. Maybe one day you could help with that.
I’m from northwest Oklahoma so my fishing spots are few and far between. One of my favorite lakes is very small and just across the border into Kansas. Clark count fishing lake is small but full of big bass!! The lake got drained to about half it’s normal size last year for damn work. If you get a chance check it out. Thanks for all the information! I know it will come in handy!!

Man so awesome. Can't thank you enough. I actually spent about 3 hrs breaking down the lake near me. Lake Houston. A little tough because of the flooding we have a few years back. Lots of sand has been dredged out. I actually opened a second window and compared google maps against C-Maps social maps from just a few months ago. Found some cool spots. Have a lot of way points to load on my Lowrance. Can't wait for the next video. So much to learn. Again thanks. Blessings brother!
