I definitely thought that a sore back would happen. I had plans to alternate standing or taking a knee if I needed to, but I was lucky and my back didn't complain! Maybe a good chair helps? :-)
are you comfortable using your airbrush like that using your thumb as the trigger control? Try holding the airbrush between your middle finger and thumb, and using your index finger on the trigger, you'll find you will have a lot more control of your airbrush airflow. You will probably need to get used to it. But it will add a lot more control on your part in return, have fun and thank you for sharing this amazing time lapse. Be well my friend.
The gentle outro on your videos is the best thing, like a gentle drift, a calming finish to a calming video. This was 20minutes of pure relaxation time. I love your channel soo much!
I don't know how I've never watched your channel but it's both enriching and inspiring for my hobby life. I painted the other day using my airbrush for the first time last night. Thank you very much. Keep making wholesome content.
Loved this one, specially because you did it for charity and othe stuff (such as playing AoS with your friends). I don't think I'm up for the challenge but watching someone doing it was pretty amazing. Thanks for putting this together and keep up the good work!
Great video and for a great cause! I really appreciate you being honest about ending the challenge at 23hrs. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the hype of the event and ignore reasonable limits that the body and brain communicate. It's so important to see that represented in a healthy manner. Cheers!
Good on you Brent. Whereas before I enjoyed your content for how you presented it, now I enjoy it because I get to see that not only are you a good hobbyist, you're a decent dude as well. Congrats on getting (mostly) all those boyz done and meeting your goal. Cant wait to see what you do next.
Only found this chan yesterday, been binge-watching since! Really interesting projects you tackle and amazingly pull off with style. Great narration - your voice is both relaxing to listen to and interesting. Really glad I found it - keep up the amazing stuff!
Right on! I'm glad these silly videos are inspiring to you :-) As for charity, if people are going to be listening to me then I might as well plug a few good causes!
Great video, as always. I’ve done the 24 hour comic challenge a few times over the years (a 24 page comic in 24 hours) so I know the feeling :). Great work!
It’s a really fun challenge. I definitely relate to some of the stuff you went through in your challenge. I’m by no means a great comic artist but here is mine from the first year I did the challenge. I had recently been to the US on a holiday to visit my sister and step brother, so it was going to be a travel journal. But when I got to the part where I get to their house I realised the story of how they ended up dating would be more interesting so it goes back in time to tell that story instead. www.jakeholmesart.com/a-bunch-of-weirdos/zrr9xx0pe778800wbxns3ssgbiew34
We host 24hr challenges with different themes every 3 months or so at our local store in brisbane Australia, last challenge was Warlord Games Hail Ceaser, its nice sitting down with about 10-15 people with movies playing in the background, just chatting and building and painting. It becomes more of a challenge to out last the other players, by the end about 6 people remain. 😁
You have a great channel I am glad you took care of yourself during this challenge I am back to painting after @25 years and you are very inspiring and informative
Amazing video! Love the time lapse. I definitely appreciate the concept of setting an ambitious goal just making it happen within a certain time frame. This is a bit extreme hah! Great job.
Definitely a great video. But dude, you chose a huge challenge. You knocked it out! These are awesome and can't wait to see the highlights you add to them.
Ooof, that was some a good effort! I admire your determination. I've never painted for more than 8 hours and even then my attention was split between the models and my computer screen. Definitely a job well done and for a good cause, kudos to you sir.

Great video, Brent! You definitely succeeded in your challenge, and I also anxiously await seeing your "final end result" updated glamor shots, too! These already look fantastic, and I'm certain they'll be next-level when you take *that* challenge on as well. Oh, and regarding your 3-way game, it's no wonder your Boyz got rekt, they were up against Sylvaneth and Legions of Nagash, lol. Even so, I'm glad you finally got to actually play, too. And now I take this video as a challenge unto myself, and thusly, I begin the planning stage! I've WAY too many 40K Orks, AoS Skaven, AoS Blades of Khorne and AoS FEC awaiting in the queue, for me to *not* have good reason to get 'em done. Thanks for the video, and thanks for the motivation, as always! Keep up the great work! Oh, and lastly, as one who has rented for most of his adult life, having lived in rental houses, trailers and apartments, I 100% get the frustration and limitations. I, too, will also be moving soon, but thankfully to a home my wife and I will own. I do believe that I speak for all of us, though, when I say that we also anxiously await your new digs' reveal, and hope that it's a much better setup for you and the cats overall! Best wishes!
Hey thanks Ronald!! Yeah this orc team almost needs another 24 hour video to finish them up... :-) In retrospect 2 x 12 hour segments makes way more sense though... C ongrats on the new house, that's so awesome! You can airbrush all night long! :-) I'm excited about my own move, I'll be able to set up a room for the purpose of filming which should be awesome. Lots of planning to do on that layout still, but it should be a nice step up from where we're at now!

Dude another really fun video. I really enjoy your stuff. Also stoked to hear you mention Scott the Miniac. I love that dude. PAINT MOAR MINIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!

This was awesome Brent. :) I already could feel the exhaustion only a couple hours in! I hope you had a great sleep after. The models turned out great too.
This is a fabulous idea! I hadn't even thought about the possibility of doing something like this for Extra Life! I'll have to see if I can rope some friends into doing it this year. I was so worried when you were saying things like "if my body doesn't fail me" at the beginning of the video. Like OH NO Goober! Please don't get hurt!
I'm OK now! :-) Yeah this isn't exactly gaming, but I think it's close enough to count for extra life. If you can find a way to make it social then that's awesome! Let me know how it goes.
Awesome job! The timelapses were fun to watch! Maybe occasionally film your assembly/painting in non-marathon stretches too! Great work and thanks for toughing it out!
Ah, this took me back to the days of last minute, marathon painting sessions for the competition the following day 😲 Brilliant video, I salute your dedication to the job for such a long time and it was good to see the cat helping too 😊 Well done👍
Wow! Great video, I started modeling again in 2012 and my builds were very slow at first. I have improved over the years like building a 1/700 ship in over a week. However, this is really quick a may do something like this in the future because it looks super fun, less the not sleeping part. Great job!!
Cool! don't rush the build to the point where you get bad joints, but definitely try just staying focussed and on-task for a good long stretch and see how it goes :-)
Thanks for raising awareness to these charities, and congratulations on your 24 hours of hobbying! As a relative hobbyist myself, I would love to hear your take on "speed painting" but without using an airbrush. I have plenty of plague monks in my near future and would love to get some tips on how to effectively do them all in a row without said utensil from you!
Right on! Gaming charities are great, I'm super happy that people have taken the time and done the work to set them up. :-) Normally I just use the airbrush for priming and one major color on the models, then it's onto the regular brushes for everything else. My batch painting goblins video would actually be a pretty guide, but instead of me airbrushing on the yellow layer just imagine me priming in white spraypaint and using a huge brush to slap a coat of yellow on everything before moving onto the next step. Happy painting!

Ah, the "day before a tournament" classic ;)
Hahaha, yup, total classic!
hey I know this guy!
Just like the day before the test, doing everything at once
Humm, that is the way I got painted:
75 skeletons. One take
35 Zombies, as above.
A unit of dire wolves, as above
30 ghouls, again in one take.
So, true. I found myself doing this to table 20 DA primaris hellblasters the day before a GW store tourny. Never again.
Considering how calm, wholesome and soft-spoken you are, you remind me of kind of warhammer bob ross.
I agree, Warhammer Bob Ross lol
Exactly my thoughts as well. He will go far with this channel.
