Thank you, pastor. We're living in a world where we have to continually prove Ellen White was inspired by God. I thank God that we don't have to force or convince anyone to believe that. Shalom Pastor! I have been a Methodist for all my life. After reading the Bible, having now full knowledge of the Sabbath, I turned to a book which I had purchased 20 years ago: Desire Of Ages, Sabbath - S-ABBA-th ABBA Father YAHWEH Amein 🙏 page 241.
Best book to read ever besides the Bible. ❤ If you read this book and not fall in love with Jesus, nothing else will do

The fake jesus wears clothes that make him look like Aaron the high priest. The True Jesus has different clothes. His clothes are of the King of Salem, Melchisedec:

Time goes forwards, not backwards. Our inspiration comes from looking ahead to Glory in Heaven, not the dry deserts of Mt. Sinai. After Mt. Calvary, we are headed towards Mt. Zion and It’s King-our Lord Jesus Christ.

I would that all me hate me for speaking the truth, than that many people speak glorious things of me for speaking falsehoods. These are warnings straight from my Shepherd. His Word alone is my comfort. His Word condemns EGW:

And without a doubt, the SDA organization teaches a perverted “gospel”. The Gospel from Christ is to be preached by preachers, not 3 angels. The “time of the Gentiles” has not jet been fulfilled.

….but it is getting close to being fulfilled, because more and more Jews are returning to Jerusalem now…..as prophesied in Ezekiel 36, 37, 38….and other places in the Bible.

SDAs like to talk about Ellen White prophecies that have come through, but not once have any SDA Pastor given us any prophecy of Ellen White that has come to pass.
How about the civil war?

Prior to the war the atmosphere was very tense as everyone was afraid of what will happen if war broke out between the North and the South. Just two months before the war actually broke out in March of 1861 Ellen White had a dream which she claimed to be a vision. That is not prophecy, that is more like a prediction. Anyone can have dreams, even the king of Egypt had dreams during the time of Joseph who interpreted the king’s dream as seven years of plenty and seven years of famine.
Ellen white was no Prophet!! All theses so called visions she had would have made her pretty much literally would make you the most important person in the bible and Christianity outside of Jesus, more important than his Apostles and Prophets, more important than Apostle Peter who Jesus gave the keys to The Kingdom Heaven in Mattew 16:19, you would have to be more important than the Apostle Paul who wrote 13 of the 27 books of the New Testament and was the Apostle for the Gentiles. You should be more important than the minor and mayor Prophets of the Old Testament including Isaiah who God used to prophesied the Virgin birth of Jesus. Also the test of A TRUE PROPHET IS NEVER WRONG!!!! AND NEVER CONTRADICTS THE WORD OF GOD!! ELLEN WHITE WAS WRONG! HER WRITINGS ARE NOT SPECIAL, THE HOLY BIBLE IS SPECIAL THE ONLY BOOK WE NEED!!
I agree with the Sabbath, but we don't have the right to judge someone who doesn't keep the Sabbath. Colossians 2:16 states: “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.” This verse emphasizes that we should not allow others to pass judgment on us based on what we eat, drink, or how we observe religious festivals, new moons, or Sabbaths
Sabbath-keeping is an issue on which God’s Word instructs us not to judge each other. Sabbath-keeping is a matter about which each Christian needs to be fully convinced in his/her own mind.
Is there anything wrong with worshiping on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath? Absolutely not! We should worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday! Many churches today have both Saturday and Sunday services. There is freedom in Christ (Romans 8:21; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1). Should a Christian practice Sabbath-keeping, that is, not working on Saturdays? If a Christian feels led to do so, absolutely, yes (Romans 14:5). However, those who choose to practice Sabbath-keeping should not judge those who do not keep the Sabbath (Colossians 2:16).
Scripture records that on eight different occasions during the Old Testament period God took on a human-like form. Some of these appearances were as the Angel of the Lord. They include an appearance to Hagar - the mistress of Abraham. The Lord also appeared to Abraham and Sarah at Mamre. There was also an appearance to Abraham at Mount Moriah.
God Appear to Moses, and Why? God may have appeared to Moses more times than we know, but we do have the biblical record of at least nine appearances that came at different times whenever Moses ascended Mount Sinai.
If we look back to the Old Testament, there were indeed prophets-some of which spoke God’s word, but some of which also led God’s people astray. This is why the Israelites were called to test the prophets. There were of course the prophets, whose prophecy was considered the infallible, inerrant revelation that we find in the Bible.
Prophet Amos: 5 Visions, Revelation by Apostle John: records total 7 visions, Zechariah: 8 Visions, Daniel: 4 Visions (Over period of 70 years), Prophet, Ezekiel:9 Visions, Isaiah: 2 Vision, Jacob: 1 Vision, Jeremiah: 2 Visions, Apostle Peter: 1 Vision, Apostle Paul: 3 Visions
In the early days of Christianity, prophets played a crucial role. They proclaimed messages from the Lord to believers, filling the gap when the New Testament was not yet complete.
Some messages were revelatory (new truths from God), while others were predictive (foretelling future events).
These prophets were foundational to the church, as mentioned in Ephesians 2:20.
Completed Revelation:
The New Testament, including the book of Revelation, was eventually completed.
With the full revelation of God’s Word now available, the need for prophets to reveal new truths has diminished.
The essence of prophecy is to speak for God, and any message today must align completely with what God has already revealed in the Bible.
Testing the Spirits:
As believers, we are instructed to test everything against Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21).
If someone claims to be speaking for God, we must compare their message to the Bible.
If it contradicts Scripture, it should be discarded; if it aligns, we seek wisdom in applying it (2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:5).
No More Apostles or Prophets:
God can still give messages to individuals, but these messages must harmonize with the Bible
Turning to the New Testament, we see the same phenomenon. There were the prophets-namely, the apostles-appointed directly by Jesus to speak authoritatively in his name, under the Spirit’s inspiration. Then there were also ordinary prophets that the Spirit led to speak God’s word in certain situations. Other prophets are also mentioned, although what they actually prophesied isn’t written. We aren’t to question God’s prophets, but the prophets in the book of Acts were fallible and had to be tested.
Many people will point to Ephesians 4:11-14 as proof that prophets and apostles still exist today:
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Something important to note here is that it says he “gave” apostles and prophets, using the past tense. I think he gave them but doesn’t keep giving them. Just as there are no more apostles, there aren’t any prophets today in the way that there were when Christ was just beginning to build his new covenant church. We have God’s written New Testament now. The foundation has been laid. There’s no need for growth of that foundation-it has been laid, and now we’re building on it. To build on that foundation, the offices of evangelists and pastors continue today. Elsewhere Paul also mentions elders and deacons, but in this passage of Ephesians, he’s focusing particularly on the ministry of the word, because that ministry of the word through preaching and teaching is what creates, builds up, and expands Christ’s body.
It’s also worth noting that in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, when elders and deacons are discussed as an office that will continue in the church, we see a list of qualifications for those offices. We don’t see that same list of qualifications for prophets or apostles, because Paul realizes that these extraordinary offices were only for that foundation-laying period of the church. I really think what Paul is saying here is that prophets and apostles were necessary to bring the church to maturity-to adulthood. Now what we need are pastors and teachers to lead us through those Scriptures, who build on that foundation so that we will stand on the day of Jesus Christ.
A particularly useful passage that isn’t mentioned as often in this conversation is found in Daniel 9:24 that reads, “24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy..” Putting an end to sin and atoning for iniquity-these are what Jesus himself accomplished on the cross. In the accomplishment of redemption and the work of Jesus Christ, there’s no need for new revelation. It’s sealed up. What we need in the church today are pastors and teachers who are faithfully going to take that faith-once for all given to the saints-to the world and build on that foundation.
Dear Pastor, thanks for your message. When I consider the sheer compendium of blessing God gave us through her-- the spiritually encouraging, deeply insightful messages-- I am grateful. There's so much I wouldn't have understood as well as I do but for what God provided through this lesser light. When Jesus walked this earth to show us Himself and His plan for our redemption, the naysayers made a lot of disparaging noise. They rejected God Himself. They stumbled at The Stone and destroyed themselves. How much more easy then it is for naysayers today to reject God's servants.
I believe in the LORD my God, so shall I be established; I believe His prophets, so shall I prosper. 2 Chron 20:20... in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
Jesus commanded us to beware of false prophets that would arise in the last days. He did not promise another “true” prophet would arise in the last day. If you disregard His Word, you too are “stumbling” over the Christ. All judaizers have that problem:

No, she is not a prophet. Her prophecies have been proven false and she contradicts Scriptures. She elevated Satan as the scapegoat, she elevated the Old Testament Laws especially the weekly Sabbath and the Ten Commandment, worst of all she demoted the real Jesus Christ of the Bible to be Michael the archangel. Jesus, the all-knowing God the Son, the Third person of the Triune God started his investigative judgement in 1844. It is all lies and heresy.
It is easy to say that EW was a “true messenger of God” without reading ALL of the Bible. When you compare her writings side by side with an actual “messenger of God” (like Apostle Paul), there are many contradictions. Why would God tell Paul to write one thing, and then (supposedly) tell EW to write the opposite?? He wouldn’t. That was Satan speaking in her hysterical mind from books she was reading from her library. Another command from Christ and the Apostles is to rebuke this type of woman or man. I love Christ so much I must obey ALL of His commands. If EW was alive today, I would write these same words to her. Take heed to our Lord. Many Godly pastors wrote against her while EW was alive, both directly and indirectly.

Take someone like me- I have just read her Desire of Ages again (and I would urge you to read it too) and have started The Great Controversy again (and I plead you read it too, just for starters) and then Steps to Christ….. and I tell you, if you are honestly seeking truth, you will love that woman and her works

I cannot agree with you. There is no Scriptural evidence that points me to read plagiarized books written by a fraudulent woman. Of all the research I have read on this women from her contemporaries, she is to be avoided.
There is too much hypocrisy, also. First she condemns Fanny Crosby (and all Sunday church goers), than makes money off of Fanny Crosby’s wonderful worship hymns in the SDA Hymnal. How can Sunday worship be “pagan”, but Sunday worship music be holy. It doesn’t make sense.
I choose Fanny over Ellen. I will not be a hypocrite. I choose Christ over Ellen. I refuse to listen to a woman who has taken the name of Christ and clothed herself in it: “the Spirit of prophecy”. What blasphemy. She and the SDA baptismal vows attribute the work of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit unto EGW. I despise that….because God despises that. God will not give any glory that belongs solely to Christ to anyone. There is no other name….

Because of an accident Ellen white had to leave school at 13 years because of ill health as a result of the accident yet she wrote extensively in the area of health education spirituality she was truly inspired
“Inspired”, but not by the true God, our Lord Jesus Christ. Satan “inspires” people also, to lead souls to their damnation. Taking cold baths to control men from being too aggressive with their wives (as EW wrote) is not from God.

Jesus saith worship is from the heart “in spirit and in truth” regardless of what day of the week is is or the title of that day. Well said, but don’t forget that imbedded in the baptismal VOWS, every SDA must proclaim and promise that all the writings of EW are inspired of God…..equal with all other scripture. The 28 beliefs/doctrinal statements also say the same. Come out from among her, saith the Lord. She brought “another gospel” that Apostle Paul warned about:

So, if you see the artwork of the SDA’s they have a different jesus of a different gospel. I learned the things you just mentioned WITHOUT reading EW. She is irrelevant to a person’s relationship with Christ. She is only a hindrance…..and causes confusion.
The Ancient Church up til now never needed EW. Why do you think the Holy Spirit needs another “helper” these days? Is He getting too old? No. It is people that are getting hard of hearing because of carnal and worldly wisdom. Now carnal “christians” need tangible things to help them cope. Some of those things are books with flowery words, catch phrases and new ideas. That is what EW is to most SDA peoples. Take her away, and they go mad!

EGW exalted Scripture above her writings, her writings is lesser light. She exalted Jesus Christ as GOD equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Her writings constantly exalts God’s holy Law.
And you are very right....however it is adventist who call her name in church more than that of Jesus Christ himself, to the point it sounds like idolising the person. A pastor in my church had to stand & made it clear that in no way should her writings be used in the preaching of a sermon, as was happening in our church. I don’t need a “lesser light” in the full sun of our Lord Jesus Christ. He sent the Holy Spirit to lead and guide His children into all truth. Christ was/is the last “Prophet”. No need for any more. Ellen White is dead and her plagiarized writings are fraudulent. Christ is alive and His Spirit bears witness with my spirit. I would recommend staying far away from a woman who has taken upon herself the nick-name of Christ: “The Spirit of Prophecy”!!

That woman is a prophet, we should cherish her writings which were given through the inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT. That information was given to her for our benefit, it would be stupid for us to reject her writings. We should be careful to study her writings with Scripture to discern GOD's will for us in these last days.

I too get excited when i hear what the bible says. I dont want to hear "ellen said" "ellen says". Many members wanted to get into the meat of things with the Holy scripture. When i tell brethren & sistren that i came to the Lord feeling & knowing His Holy Spirit guided & still guides me...unfortunately there are those who believe you won't "make it" unless you are a staunch follower of EGW. A prophet is a messenger of God, they don’t necessarily predict what is not already recorded in Scripture, Ellen Whites role is found in 1 Corinthians 14:3

Did you notice the gender in 1Cor.14:3? Why do you imply that EGW is a “he”. It wouldn’t be a woman in the Church era, because the same person who was inspired to write 1Cor. 14:3, also wrote:

Let your women keep SILENCE in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
….in the same chapter! No preachers (i.e. prophet) were allowed to be woman in the Church era. That is a COMMAND of Christ! Read ALL of 1 Corinthians chapter 14!

Now, who is the one bold enough in the SDA organization to silence EGW? No one. They are too busy making money off of her books, and they would loose too much profit. (Now that is the accurate word: EGW is not a “prophet”, she is a “profit”.)
The same author who wrote The Corinthians also wrote The Acts, and in Acts 2:17 it reads "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." @@felichecdid you know that Acts was written by Luke and 1st and 2nd Corinthians was written by Apostle Paul? The prophecy quoted in Acts was from Joel. Did you see that Joel mentioned a multitude of “prophets”, all speaking some form of revelation. When we see a MULTITUDE of “prophets” (and Jewish), we will know that prophecy of Joel is coming to pass.
We already know EGW is the only “legitimate” prophet that SDAs will listen to. That in itself proves the prophecy of the Jew Joel has not come to pass. Or maybe you can mention the list of old men and young men that are also getting revelations from God. I’ll be waiting to see that list.

Yes, EGW had problems with Paul’s writing, like when Peter was alive. Apostle Peter didn’t have a problem with what Apostle Paul wrote, but was pointing out that other people (like EGW) wrestled (“wrest”) his clear teachings. They couldn’t figure out how to get his teachings about the “law” to fit into their worldview.
This statement corresponds with Acts 15…..Jewish people were mixing the Mosaic law with the Grace of Christ. Those 2 things are not compatible.
I am not an unstable soul that wrestles the writings of Apostle Paul. I read it, and obey it. It is easy that way. For instance, when it comes to eating EVERY CREATURE, he say “nothing to be refused” (1Timothy 4:4, 5). That is easy to understand…we don’t need to interpret/wrestle it. Just obey it.

Jesus Christ is (currently) the last “Prophet” appointed by God for the redemption and restoration of sinners. What we have contained in the 66 books of the Bible is all that men/woman need. EGW was inspired by God, however she was not (Infallable) as most of our brethren make her out to be.
Ellen White never claimed infallibility, she encouraged us to study the bible. When you study the Bible however you will find that her life and writing agree completely with the bible.

The pastor gave the wrong Bible verse at 8:37. Jeremiah 8:9 has nothing to do with testing a prophet. The verse is Deutoronony 18:22.
And with that said, Ellen White has made several prophecies that have not been fulfilled. Look up her 1856 vision as an example. It is a failed prophecy. However, I encourage you to read the Adventist defense for the failed vision as well.

Out of the gate, you are on the wrong foot. The Remnant Church is SDA doctrine based on EGW writings (i.e., Specific to SDAs and not to Christianity as a whole). If you allow the SDAs to self-authenticate Ellen White, you must accept the LDS's authentication of Joseph Smith. Otherwise, all you are saying you have placed your faith in EGW.

As an Adventist, it is required upon your baptism into that organization to agree that all the writings of Ellen White are of God. It is imbedded in the VOWS. Her nick name is “spirit of prophecy”, and you may have not known that. The SDA church is tricky like that. Now you will need to confess that “vow” as sin to the Lord and repent of all dealings with that woman.
Why? The Bible you believe has Spirit of Prophecy ie the Holy Spirits work to reveal Truth is a mark. Joel 2:28 says of the last days and he God said it and you can't do nothing but watch this unfold. Yes, but not just one young woman. And this is among the Jewish community, not Gentiles. All revelation that a Christian needs in the Church era (started by Jesus) is “the testimony of Jesus Christ”. I read it every day and the Holy Spirit bears witness to my spirit that I am a child of God. That witness came on the day of my repentance and acceptance of the full payment of my sin on the cross by Christ:

I am still waiting for even one of the prophecies to come to pass that Ellen White spoke of. As you well know, I am also a young man that God has raised up to prophecy to this generation: “Come unto Christ and you will find rest”. That is a prophecy….that which will come to those who will come to Christ. Every preacher is a prophet of sorts. We tell of the pending damnation to those who refuse to accept the full payment of Christ’s substitute on the cross in their place.

All the revelation of the Scriptures is contained in the 66 books of the Bible that Christians had 1800 years before Ellen White started plagiarizing other authors, and then claiming it to be new revelation. The Great Controversy world view distorts the clear teachings given by the Holy Spirit. If Jesus would have prophesied that a woman prophet would come on the scene with a totally new “gospel”, I would probably tend to pay attention to that. But Jesus only sent this prophecy for the end days:

There are so many Scriptures that haven’t been fulfilled (hadn’t been fulfilled) about Israel during the days she lived. Even she said Jerusalem (in Israel proper) would never be built up. Reality shows us in this alone puts her on the FALSE prophet category. This passage of Scripture teaches clearly that Israel will be grafted back in and saved when “the fullness of the Gentiles be come in”.

In simple category, if we are to accept that Ellen White was inspired by God, do we then have to accept all her teachings which falls outside scriptures because there are some of her doctrines that actually contradicts the Bible, unless of course we are to interpret as per her understanding and also that we have accepted her.
My question is this, why is the SDA Church so keen on adding to scriptures that people should accept Ellen White as being inspired?
Are we not warned in this same scriptures, not to add to it. This is a reason why the Apostleship had to be close to ensure that no one adds to scriptures.
You are explaining yourself with much effort but regardless, one does not need much effort to disproof these claims.
Ellen Gorould White WAS NOT INSPIRED under any CIRCUMSTANCE for her to be accepted as infallible.

You can be angry and slander EGW, but do not slander the Holy Spirit, by which there is no forgiveness. She did not add to scripture, she EXPLAINED it. It is rather unfortunate that a group of people couldn't accept the fallibility of a supposed prophecy of Christ' return in 1844 so much that they will later proclaim this as their GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT to mean a whole bunch of unbiblical view and traditions to call themselves God's remnant church.
