OK, I liked how you explained that meet eating is for survival mode, because I’ve always wondered why Jesus allowed us to eat meat because He could have easily gave Noah food from heaven during the flood and easily just re-created plants after the flood without the need for eating animals. Still not sure why he didn’t totally.
Lastly, it’s great that Adventists teach not eating meat, but many are obese because they over indulge in carbs and sugars, which is just as bad if not worse than clean eating meat. I have fasted for seven days. The first four days were pretty easy. The last three were difficult one to seven days. But during that time, I realized that my brain said you want to eat, but my body said I’m not hungry. So much indulgences are not our needs, but our wants. Being obese is not treating our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Causing our house to be unhealthy and fall apart early! Food for thought (pun intended 😊)

Ellen White has always been sickly, was it because she wasn't careful about practicing what she taught others? For she was a big meat-eater, ate all sorts of flesh forbidden by God, including SWINE😮😢😂 The principle to remember is being moderate in eating and drinking what is permitted and healthful 😂😂😂 She was certainly not a worthy example to me😢

lol, agreed, most don't take into consideration that she said what she said because of what would happen to meat once pollution levels rose to extreme highs, and how it would affect animal products and their meat. Diseases such as Madcow, Madswine, Swine flu, Bird flu, SARS, COVID-19, and many others, then, of course, you have modern medicine proving that Alzheimer's, Dementia, many forms of cancer, high blood pressure, artery disease, blocked arteries, hardening of the arteries, high cholesterol, stroke, and heart attack are all increased exponentially as a result of eating polluted meat and dairy products. People don't use reason and common sense to see it, how it affects the body, and the mind into days day and age. These are some huge reasons E.G.W. counseled against the continuous use of meat and dairy, God gave her this information because we are what we eat, and we become what we focus on. If our bodies are to be the temple then we should see the warnings of what, and why she gives counsel on and heed it!
Even plant-based foods today if not organic can be a health risk, and some use that excuse to continue to eat flesh foods. The difference is a plant-based diet was given to us at creation, when we consume in moderation what God has given us that originally wasn't meant to be corrupted he is good on his promise to protect us from unhealthy effects when we are eating and drinking to his glory. I mean even water our body's most vital source of nutrients is polluted, but when we take care to drink the best water that is low in pollution or filtered to have none then God blesses us with his protection through our prayers over it. God Bless!

By the way, if you're not eating koshered carcasses, you are violating the Jerusalem council of Acts 15, which prohibits blood consumption even for GENTILES. Straight truth.
Hope that helps you to choose wisely. Vegetarian is NOT extreme. It was NORMAL from creation until the flood.

Vegetarianism: What the Science Tells Us
DECEMBER 31, 2000 BY SALLY FALLON AND MARY G. ENIG, PHD5 COMMENTS
      🖨️ Print post
Health writers may denigrate animal foods with insouciance but, in fact, the scientific literature offers very little in the way of long-term studies on the value of a vegetarian diet. Dr. Russell Smith, a statistician, analyzed the existing studies on vegetariansim1 and discovered that while there have been ample investigations which show, quite unsurprisingly, that vegetarian diets significantly decrease blood cholesterol levels, studies evaluating the effects of vegetarian diets on mortalities continue to be few in number. In fact, Smith speculated that the available data from the many existing prospective studies are being shelved because they reveal no benefits of vegetarianism. For example, mortality statistics are strangely absent from the Tromso Heart Study in Norway which showed that vegetarians had slightly lower blood cholesterol levels than nonvegetarians.2
In a review of some 3,000 articles in the scientific literature, Smith found only two that compared mortality data for vegetarians and nonvegetarians. One was a 1978 study of Seventh Day Adventists (SDAs). Two very poor analyses of the data were published in 1984, one by H. A. Kahn and one by D. A. Snowden.3 The publication by Kahn rather arbitrarily threw out most of the data and considered only subjects who indicated very infrequent or very frequent consumption of the various foods. They then computed “odds ratios” which showed that mortality increased as meat or poultry consumption increased (but not for cheese, eggs, milk or fat attached to meat.)
When Smith analyzed total mortality rates from the study as a function of the frequencies of consuming cheese, meat, milk, eggs and fat attached to meat, he found that the total death rate decreased as the frequencies of consuming cheese, eggs, meat and milk increased. He called the Kahn publication “yet another example of negative results which are massaged and misinterpreted to support the politically correct assertions that vegetarians live longer lives.”
The analysis by Snowden published mortality data for coronary heart disease (CHD), rather than total mortality data, for the 21-year SDA study. Since he did not eliminate the intermediate frequencies of consumption data on meat, but did so with eggs, cheese and milk, this represents further evidence that both Kahn and Snowden based their results on arbitrary, after-the-fact analysis and not on pre-planned analyses contingent on the design of their questionnaire. Snowden computed relative risk ratios and concluded that CHD mortality increased as meat consumption increased. However, the rates of increase were trivial at 0.04 percent and 0.01 percent respectively for males and females. Snowden, like Kahn, also found no relationship between frequency of consumption of eggs, cheese and milk and CHD mortality “risk.”
Citing the SDA study, other writers have claimed that nonvegetarians have higher all-cause mortality rates than vegetarians4 and that, “There seems little doubt that SDA men at least experience less total heart disease than do others. . .”5 The overpowering motivation to show that a diet low in animal products protects against CHD (and other diseases) is no better exemplified than in the SDA study and its subsequent analysis. While Kahn and Snowden both used the term “substantial” to describe the effects of meat consumption on mortalities, it is more obvious that “trivial” is the appropriate descriptor. It is also interesting that throughout their analyses, they brushed aside their totally negative findings on foods which have much greater quantities of fat, saturated fat and cholesterol.
The second study was published by Burr and Sweetnam in 1982.6 It was shown that annual CHD death rate among vegetarians was only 0.01 percent lower than that of nonvegetarians, yet the authors indicated that the difference was “substantial.”
The table below presents the annual death rates for vegetarians and nonvegetarians which Smith derived from the raw data in the seven-year Burr and Sweetnam study. As can be seen, the “marked” difference between vegetarian and nonvegetarian men in Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) was only .11 percent. The difference in all-cause death rate was in the opposite direction, a fact that Burr and Sweetnam failed to mention. Moreover, the IHD and all-cause death rates among females were actually slightly greater for heart disease and substantially greater for all causes in vegetarians than in nonvegetarians.
      Annual Death Rates of
      Vegetarians and Nonvegetarians
      IHD All-Cause
      Male vegetarians .22% .93%
      Male nonvegetarians .33% .88%
      Female vegetarians .14% .86%
      Female nonvegetarians .10% .54%
These results are absolutely not supportive of the proposition that vegetarianism protects against either heart disease or all-cause mortalities. In fact, they indicate that vegetarianism is more dangerous for women than for men.
The claim that vegetarians have lower rates of cancer compared to nonvegetarians has been squarely contradicted by a 1994 study comparing vegetarians with the general population.7 Researchers found that although vegetarian Seventh Day Adventists have the same or slightly lower cancer rates for some sites, for example 91 percent instead of 100 percent for breast cancer, the rates for numerous other cancers are much higher than the general US population standard, especially cancers of the reproductive tract. SDA females had more Hodgkins disease (131 percent), more brain cancer (118 percent), more malignant melanoma (171 percent), more uterine cancer (191 percent), more cervical cancer (180 percent) and more ovarian cancer (129 percent) on average.

idk Christians think its acceptable to eat meat. Do they really think Jesus would walk through a factory farm today and give a thumbs up? And Ellen Whites comments on losing morality is so true. Many people are so desensitized to eating meat that they dont care how that animal was treated during its life and how it was killed for them to consume. They can sit there and watch funny cow videos and be like "look how cute it is!" then eat a burger that same night. I use to be like that as well so ive experienced this delusion. Its crazy how much power sin has over us.
Some people who try to argue that eating clean meats is fine, its almost like they havent read how regulated God made it to eat animals. Factory farming goes against that law. Even in Acts the apostles said you cant eat strangled meat. You know whats worse than strangled meat? Hanging these animals upside down in a line shooting a stun gun into their head. You also cannot eat much fat, well most of the animals we eat have an absurd amount of fat on them. They also seem to neglect context to when God said its ok to eat meat. That was after the flood when there was literally no vegetation anywhere and it took our world a very long time to get where we are now with plants. We have plants in abundance. Theres no excuse now. Plus our animals are sick and dying they are not the same animals of 2k years ago bc of factory farming and beefing them up with hormones.

No, it's not, lol. She gives warning that as time goes by meat would not be fit for consumption, was she right? Amen! She was, the difference in her day, or even 2k years ago during Jesus's time was the pollution level in the air, water, and soil. Over the last 150 years pollution levels in the earth and atmosphere have reached critical levels, poisoning the air, water, and soil. These types of dangers have seen viruses, and sicknesses never before heard of. Madcow, Madswine, swine flu, bird flu, SARS, COVID-19, Alzheimer's, Dementia, and even Autism, that's just to name a few have medically corresponded to the result of eating meat. I have even touched on things like Colon cancer, Prostate cancer, stomach cancer, or any form of cancer.
Ellen was filled with wonderful advice from God especially as the end of the age becomes nearer, I mean, you do realize she called cancer a virus 60 years before science determined it was a virus and not a disease, right? She also said that tea and coffee drinking is a sin, but why? Caffeine wreaks havoc on the central nervous system, raises blood pressure, elevates, and interrupts the heart's normal rhythmic pattern which can in turn lead to stroke and heart attack. Likewise, high-cholesterol meats lead to blocked arteries, hardening of the arteries, high blood pressure, heart attack, or stroke, not to mention all the diseases, and viruses I mentioned and those I didn't.
People who read her writings and make statements such as yours have no elevated education in contextual reading, you read something and take it as it is not even giving any thought to why she says what she says! I used to be a Baptist, I used to mock her, scorn her, ridicule her, and call her everything the scoffers and mockers still do today. Until I started to read her for myself. That's like people who read her statement about buying a bicycle, in her day bicycles were a newer form of transportation, and if you wanted one some of them were comparable to the cost of a home. She said what she said because if you have an abundance of wealth or money, that money would be better well spent caring for the needs of others or put into the funding of missions, and medical fields to make breakthroughs in the treatment of the sick, lame, and mentally afflicted, and most importantly the spreading of the gospel!!
Even the accusation of plagiarism by people is a mute argument, they don't stop and think about how information was spread in her day and age. Neither do they take into consideration that most Christian writers never had a problem quoting each other especially if it was biblical truth being spread to people. Plagiarism was a greedy, self-driven act by most for the love of money and ego. Godly men and women throughout time have neither of these qualities, which is why they never sued each other over using each other's statements. Benjamin Franklin was the most prolific author in our history, he quoted more sources from other people without giving proper credit also, are you gonna call one of the greatest American forefathers a Plagiarist as well? lol, no one has yet. Lastly, if we are gonna go by the rules of plagiarism get rid of the entire bible, almost every New Testament writer copied or used writings from each other without giving credit to one another. Jesus quoted 20% of the O.T. in the N.T. Sometimes he gave credit, other times he didn't, are people gonna call him a plagiarist? One starts to wonder sometimes why common sense is called what it is when it's so rare.

Meat 🍖 is quite different now than it was back 2000 plus years ago. The creation is groaning under the curse of sin. Disease in animals is increasing and those same diseases are transmitted to humans by eating meat.
Adam and Eve - plant based
The Hebrews leaving Egypt - manna - plant based until the quail (died after eating the birds)

@davidsvingman5485 Gotta read the whole chapter bro. Pay attention to 27-29
17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate. 18 They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there
19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three[a] men are looking for you. 20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”
21 Peter went down and said to the men, “I’m the one you’re looking for. Why have you come?”
22 The men replied, “We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.” 23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests.
      Peter at Cornelius’s House
The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the believers from Joppa went along. 24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. 26 But Peter made him get up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.”
27 While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. 29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask

if anyone really believes in Jesus? you can eat any meat, and according to Jesus it is not a sin. Later, in the New Testament, Jesus swept away these rules and “declared all foods clean” (Mark 7:18-19): “There is nothing outside the man which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man.” God bless all those who believe in Jesus.

@@thetruth871 It's very convenient that you cherry-pick 18 and 19 out of their context to justify your lusts to eat anything, but left off verses 20-24. The Bible is written as complete letters, NOT isolated verses to pick and pull for our own purposes. Man put the verse numbers in later.
If you read the whole story, you'll see it's NOT about food at all, but an object lesson.
Pick-n-pullers also like to do this with the story of Peter and the sheet in Acts 10. They can't be bothered to read til the end, where God says that no MAN is to be called common or unclean. Obviously, God is not telling Peter to kill and eat MEN...

      @@jeanclaude7018What does Acts 10:13 mean?
God is explaining to Peter that the message of Jesus is open to all people, including Gentiles, but He's doing it in a very creative way. He has presented Peter with all different types of animals. Some, including reptiles and birds of prey (Acts 11:6), are forbidden by the Mosaic law to be consumed as food (Deuteronomy 14:7-21). At this time, almost all the Jesus-followers are Jews or part-Jews such as Samaritans, and they understand their faith as a natural extension of Judaism-Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, after all. While modern culture sees a distinct separation between Jews and Christians, to Peter there is no such divide. Without a major change in thinking, he's not going to willingly break the Mosaic law.
Food is an appropriate metaphor for the situation because of the importance of sharing meals in the culture. To host someone in a meal was to accept them and accept responsibility for their well-being. For a Jew to eat with a Gentile would have been considered a horrible breach of custom. It would be showing public approval to their lifestyle. When Jesus ate with tax collectors and "sinners," the Pharisees were horrified, even though the sinners were Jews (Mark 2:15-17).
Unbeknownst to Peter, three men are coming to see him. They have been sent by a Roman centurion named Cornelius who wants to know more about the Jewish God he has been faithfully serving (Acts 10:1-8). Peter will have to enter the home of a Gentile and share a meal. God is showing Peter the food is okay to eat and the host is acceptable to host.
