EGW whites statemnts are a warning not so much a ctritisism. The word "would " does not mean "has" been changed. There will always wheat and tares in the church and also there will always be the 7000 who have not bowed to Baal. God church will stand to the end .It is people who will leave the church and try to tear it down . The quote in S.M. 204 describes EX Adventists exactly. The Adventist church will never become Babylon per sea. . It is people in the church who read books that are not of our church. That leads them astray.
