Ah yes! The Communist State of Taxachusetts! SUCKER! It's about time you woke up and smelled the coffee! Get out now while you can still do so!
Don't worry because some of us in New Hampshire are also making plans to blow town, once and for all, with no intentions of ever coming back!
Let's face it. The ChiComs have won! They infiltrated America years ago and even The Don could only halt their progress for four short years. Now that the Puppet Master of Beijing has his fist fully up Creepy's ass the game is almost over. Therefore, anyone who can do so should plan on getting out now before the next civil war begins which is in the very near future!

I had a similar choice when I was living and working in China. Most of my work was in the crowded, polluted east coast. I chose to live 1800 miles from Beijing in Kunming in the Yunnan Province. It is called the "city of eternal spring". Great weather, unpolluted, awesome food, and wonderful people. When I would tell my associates in Shanghai or Shenzhen that I lived in Kunming, they reacted as if I lived in the sticks. Even though it is considered a "3rd tier city" in China, the greater Kunming area has 6.5 million people. So, it always felt like a nice, urban setting on the cusp of the country. I think a lot of people out there pass up the lesser-known cities like Pattaya and Kunming to their great loss. Congrats on finding such a nice home base in Thailand.

@@livebeforeyoudie9984 I hope you do have the chance to go someday. You're definitely in the right part of the world for that trip. Lots of great places to visit, but if you have to choose two, spend a week in Beijing and a week in Kunming. Beijing has all of the best museums, the universities, and you can take the subway to the Great Wall. Kunming is beautiful, unpolluted, and home to a lot of the great ethnic minority groups. I think the regional flights are still pretty cheap. I envy you.

It's good that not everyone likes the same place! I've had 3 trips to Pattaya in my life on just 2-3 day visits so I'm probably not giving it a fair comparison, but Bangkok is SO much more exciting. I love the wide choices of BKK restaurants, night clubs, bars, shopping malls, theaters, museums, night markets, and so on. And I LOVE the sky-bars! Sure there's traffic, but every major city has that, just adjust for the time; the public transport is cheap and clean and efficient. If I need a beach, it's an easy bus ride away. I used to live in the Bay Area and I miss the fast pace. So BKK is a winner in my book, hands down. Bill

But I would snap out of it and try to stay focused on the goal. I have always been goal oriented anyway. Now I have to say I have no regrets, I like my life and the freedom I have. Catching those interactions you are having with people, especially women approaching you. Also the videos where you are posting about the prices of everything which you are doing a better job of now. Try not to sit down and break things down. Record yourself going out, getting the food and telling us the price. Go do some condo tours with places you're interested in on your next lease. thanks for the video. i got stuck in BKK. I agree Pattaya's got more to it then it's nightlife. And those who want that part will find it wherever they are. I was totally set on Pattaya too, then found my community here in BKK. Although living by or on the beach aint a bad thing and rents here are crazy high, esp if ya just wanna go month-to-month like I've been trying.

3 years in Bangkok and 1 in Pattaya Pattaya is much better now Cheaper and more walkable cheap baht buses everywhere every 5 minutes or less Cheaper rent and many restaurants. A lot of white hair there because much shorter walks than Bangkok. Bangkok was fine under 55 years of age but as I get closer to 70, Pattaya is just an easier place to live
Also Jomtien Pratumnak hill walking street Central Pattaya Noklua all have different vibes but are not that far apart and connected by 10 baht baht buses. Actually pickup trucks Pattaya is friendlier more laid back will spend 2 or 3 months a year in Thailand after I retire

Not sure when you went to LA last. It could be the first fourth world city. meanwhile NYC has issues with the subway system where its a good chance you can get hurt in there due to lot of crime. I won’t include Baltimore, Philly or Detroit as you know these are already past the point of livability in most parts of these cities.
San Francisco it seems allows people to shop without worry of paying. It’s more like fill the bags and leave or smash and grab
BKK is probably a better choice if you like NYC Phuket if you like Santa Barbara or ko samui if you like a smaller compact island.
Chiangmai mai is good for cheaper and outdoors, though I would pick BKK every single time due to so many activities in the city, and visit the islands every few months

This is the winter time here so it has been around 70 to 80 degrees with a cool breeze. but I believe next month it will start to get hot and humid tropical weather for a few months and then there will be a rainy season where it rains almost everyday for a couple months. As far as the noise it is not bad in my area. I rarely hear any noise except sometimes the street dogs bark at night.

Hello it is called Cosy Beach Hotel, it is the busy season here now so I am sure the prices are not 20 dollars anymore, but they should still be reasonable.
