I’m Thai and I feel bad and ashamed that how you guys were treated like that which is unprofessional and improper. These scammers actually ruined the reputation of the country and caused troubles to other good people who have tried hard to satisfy tourists or their customers.
As a person who travels a lot. I have to agree that these people give Thailand a bad name. Although there are lots of scams that happens all over Thailand. Overall, Thailand is a great holiday destination. Beautiful people and great food. Such a shame that a small minority seems to think that it’s Ok to exploit the tourist.
You should forward this video to your local pig police station/local government. Obviously, it is illegal if you screwed up country/people which have some common sense. Visitors travel the world to visit your country for vacations, and that is not something visitors deserve. It is awful country, awful people, and awful local government. Inform your local authority, karma will be a bitch to your country and all people in your country. Making me angry just by watching this video.
@@vincentstohr2216 I love it when they don't turn the meter on. I wait till 3l4 way through the journey and tell them to turn it on or I'm getting out. the scammers get scammed.
Lesson of the Video should be: Never pre-pay a taxi service in Thailand, especially if your taking the ride at a later time. If you want to book a taxi service to a tourist location, IMO the most reliable/safest way is to do it, is go through your hotel. Or pay the extra $ for an all day taxi driver, someone who will wait for you at the tourist spot. I always try to find a friendly multilingual taxi driver’s card so I can use the same person to take me all around and at the end of the day pay and tip the driver well. Idk when this was filmed(looks like pre Covid) but since Covid, it seems some Taxi services are trying to pull more scams. It’s been a difficult few years for the people who rely on tourists dollars to live. Good luck, be careful, & travel smart.
I have to say that we did a booking through the hotel for the floating market. It was a desk on the ground floor doing it, and we still god scammed. Basically we agreed on 2.500 baht for 2 person to go to Maekong Market (the train market) and then to the Floating Market. The train market everything went fine, but at the Floating, they left us really far away in some spot that just had one agency renting boats to go up the canal. We went there and they asked for 3.000 baht for both, we said we just had 1.500 because we didn't though we would need money at all. They dropped the price to 2.000 and we had to stop on some ATM. It was awfull as for 1.30h we were on a boat stopping in various shops that we didn't with people trying to sell us things. We stopped at a "coconut farm" that was basically a shop with ATM, the shop owner and the boat guy were pushing us to withdrawl money because we were still owing 500 baht. When we finally got into the market it was empty since it was already like 13:00 PM... So really, I do think that in Thailand it's a matter of luck. The better services/tour we got was the ones booked online through TripAdvisor, the rest was pretty much some sort of scam which is sad and actually one of the things that was driving me insane and getting me eager to just go back home.
This is the best advice, whenever we want to tour around like welll tourists we just get an all day taxi driver. Saves the trouble and he is just waiting when we finish and want to move onto the next place
Is it easy to find an all day driver? We are going back to Thailand next year for a month and want to book a driver for a day for a few different times
@@user-cx9gq2ud6t we have not had trouble, we just found a driver we liked and negotiated with him directly. It always felt like you were getting a good deal when you consider how much it costs for a whole day compared to just getting into a taxi back home and going for a short trip
Thank you so much for being kind and making sure that girl was able to board the van. In such a situation I'm sure everyone was scared of being left also. That poor girl obviously raised her voice to try and be more assertive because she was scared of getting dropped off at a completely random place in a country she's not familiar with. Traveling alone as a young woman, no less! Shameful of these scammers to try to intimidate and punish the victims. Thank you for making sure she wasn't stranded. Wishing you all the best.
So….I was there yesterday but booked a private taxi from Bangkok. They took us to the boat dock and we were told 3,000 baht (about $90) for 1.5 hours. Seriously, like wtf. I wanted to go somewhere else, like where you were but was told there was no place like that. I was with a Thai speaker and we could both tell this was their scam. Get you 1.5 hours from Bangkok and sink in the screws. I’ve been to Thailand before so while I was mad at them I was more mad at myself for letting this happen. I should have done my research first and not trusted the “tour” taxi guide. Lesson learned. Also, this is just a high priced tourist trap. Not somewhere where Thais shop like it was in the past. You just boat through 100 or so shops selling you overpriced junk. Skip it totally. Go to big C or Lotus and buy the same scrap souvenirs for 25% of the cost. BTW, do not feel sorry for these people. This scam is working big time. The canals are lined with new homes and expensive cars so a lot of us are falling into this trap. You’ve been warned. P.S. I still love Thailand.
After watching this, I only want to go to places reachable by train with fixed schedule. I'd be mortified if I were that poor girl. Thank you for being such a gentleman & rescue that poor lady.. ❤️
I'm from Chiang Rai and I hate going back to Thailand. The amount of Thai people trying to scam you is insane. What's even sadder is that the police will often times look the other way. The grand palace scam is a really good example. With officers standing within frets of the scammers they say nothing as the scammers tricked a lot of visitors.
In fairness this happens in all countries with tourist that are not in the know. Sadly with COVID scammers will make even more of an appearance. Scams are usually associated with over changing customers. If you feel the costs are too high. Simply say no.. no sense of arguing with someone.
Never book outside an authorized agency. Everywhere in the world there are scammers trying to take advantage of you. So choose wisely and do not put yourself in danger.
@@kalltravels it's usually cheaper too but you take your risks. If you take one of these places and the return pickup spot doesn't have many taxi's around.. you have to know you're at the mercy of the tour operator. Assume you're going to be scammed in all situations and you should be fine :)

In behalf of the Thai people, I would like to apologize for the incident in which you had to deal with those assholes. The new generations are pushing and protesting for the better society. These selfishness rooted so deep in the system. The country is economically corrupted due to the dirty politicians and people are desprate to make a living. However, that gives them no right to scam anyone. These scammers are assholes and deserve a foot in their mouth. Man I wish I was there. I would serve them well. I'm new to the channel but once again, I apologize in behalf of the Thai people, and hope you have had a great experience in Thailand. You're very very welcomed here.
okay, i definitely won't go in Thailand. it's not only the place where you got homesick cause everyone is too lazy to learn English , but also a place where you got serious trust issues. it's land of scams
Thai Government has always been keen on projecting the official image of Thailand as the "Land of Smiles." Imagine, being a foreign tourist, to be forced to undergo such traumatic and utterly distasteful an experience as this one, at the tail end of an otherwise fairly agreeable trip, and coming out inevitably with an altered image of the country. I've been to Thailand twice in the past ten years and some of my very sweet memories are associated with both of my trips. However, I maintain that it's always swindlers like these who not only ruin your trip but also do their best to influence your opinion of the Thai people, who in reality are, by and large, friendly and helpful folks.
I had a similar situation like this in Thailand a few years back. So I told them I worked for the British government which I did, and was meeting the King in the morning (which i wasn't') and naturally his majesty would be displeased to hear I had been up half the night because the taxi firmed had tried to scam me. With that, I was treated like a King, free food, free drinks and the taxi taking me back to my hotel for free.
If it weren't for the rampant scamming everywhere, Thailand would be a perfect destination. I still want to go back for another future holiday, but it's annoying that you can't fully relax because you always have to think that everyone you meet is trying to scam you.
This looks so stressful. I think I won't bother travelling to Bangkok. Thanks for sharing. Hope you reached back safely. I also was not happy seeing them heartlessly cooking live seafood😣😣
the prawns jumping..dropped on the floor..and they just pick it up & put it back to the bbq stove... big nono on the hygiene level of this shop. They level very 3rd world low.
Thank you for exposing this, we need more scams there to be exposed. Honestly makes me feel like I don’t want to back but I know there are some good people still just getting harder to come by these days. I fear now that having the lockdowns and them losing their livelihoods will only make them worse once the tourists do go back. I would hope these hard times would make people more humble but sadly sometimes it does quite the opposite. Glad you got back safely and everyone else there. So sorry for the girl they tried to leave behind.

Been going to Thailand since 2003. It is well known that the floating market is generally a scam site. The only problems I've ever had, they were all minor, was with transportation especially tuk tuks and taxis.
After watching this I will never go to Thailand at risk being scammed in this way. Literally nothing can be done when they have you trapped and start making demands backed with menace. Thank you for this insight which shows that some Thai people would stop at nothing for their progress. 1 bad apple turning the whole barrel rotton. .
seriously? there are 70 million people in Thailand and most are very friendly and honest. a bunch of people being yelled at and ripped off for a few dollars should not deter you from visiting - it's the most beautiful country in the world
Dont let one person bad experience from allowing yourself the opportunity to visit the most beautiful country in the world. The people are sweet, loving, and giving and 99.9% are not scammers. No matter where you go in the world there will always be predators, your job is to be alert enough to not become prey.
Thank you Kall for sharing. Those scammers have the audacity to get angry because things didn’t go their way. Hope that Thai authorities handle them seriously. This is Thai tourism we are talking about. This will leave foreigners having second thoughts whether to visit the floating market or not just because the van transportation there is trying to make more money by cheating and lying!
This is so ashamed. I am Thai and I feel so sorry for you all and I do apologize that this happens to all of you. These scammers won’t last long and I hope they all burned in hell. Hopefully this video can help spread the word out.

Okay travelers! I meant rookies travelers… Get an expensive hotel and ask for a tour guide or a taxi tour guide that is recommended from the hotel.. You’ll then will not be scammed.. This is from every city in Thailand and every city in Lao, Cambodia, and Vietnam.. Don’t be cheap at the places you sleep..
Im scare to ho to Thailand.. Thank God , i travelled to Philippines .Everyone treats me as a guest ...Im living here in Cebu Philippines for the last 7 years .The best decision of my life ...
My parents and I got a taxi from Sofitel to a restaurant about 3 km from the hotel (the hotel booked for us). The driver after 5 mins in the car asked me to buy the boat trip ticket and I refused. He said he will have to charge double for the fare as he thought we would buy those tickets. What’s on earth. We disagreed and he said he will drop us in the middle of the road. We had to stop in the middle of road in the middle of Bangkok and got another taxi. Terrible! We will never go back.
Did you report this back to the hotel? i would think that if the hotel booked the taxi for you then i would have some details of the driver. Contact number etc.
Yeah just because one bad business is exposed doesn’t mean that all Thai people are that way.. I have good friends in Thailand the call me much more often than any American friends in my phone book.
Sorry to hear of your experience and the bad behavior of these mafia style people who ruin the reputation for others. Well done for keeping calm and helping others.

@@PanPaige sorry PanPops.....the scammers targeted mainly tourists...not locals. Hence why you most probably would not encounter these scammers. Your country is fine. Lovely and warm people. Scammers exists in every country. Cheers!
another scam is when you rent something, like a water ski/wave runner. When you bring it back they will show you 'damage' on it, like normal wear and tear scratches and then physically force some tourists to pay a lot of money for the 'damages'. But as mentioned in the comments, scams are pervasive in a lot of countries
Well i always take pictures of what i rent. Like i rented a car. Even they don't walk around it to show you the current damage. I still make LOTS of pictures, and best is to show them you make pictures.
That guy scammer is so rude shouting loudly to tourists. I can't believe the rumors were true about scammers in Thailand until I watched this video. Well, I believe in every country there are good and bad people so we should be cautious at all times whenever we visit a foreign country.

Thank you for sharing this, bro. I've been to Thailand oh, maybe 10 times, and I've had to deal with scammers myself. I do hope the Thai Tourism Authority will look into this and put an end to this practice. Like you, I love Thailand and the Thai people, but of course, there will be a few rotten eggs. One day soon, I'll come back to Amphawa Floating Market and get a huge van and head to that terminal and pick up all of my 'friends' and take them back to Bangkok--for free. Let's not give these scammers any more of our hard-earned money. My best advice, book your own tour van as we've always done in the past. You get your own driver, you go at your own pace, you get a tour guide, and you get no hassle from people like these. I've subbed even though I don't know what content you put out because of this. You're doing us travelers a huge favor. Stay safe, and best of travels to yah!
I went to Amphawa floating market before covid with a friend via taxi, when we got there, the driver dropped my friend and I off a little ways outside of the market entrance. With the language barrier, we understood "no taxi go in" and "I wait for you here". The idea of him sitting there for a few hours waiting for my friend and I didn't bode well with me so I told him to just leave and we'll find another taxi back later. Fast forward a few hours we discovered we CAN'T get a taxi b/c they're not allowed there. We ended up finding out way to that location where this video was shot (not sure if it was the same company or another) but we got back to Bangkok without much issues.

I usually book Klook guided tour with return transport (if available) if I want to go to far away places to prevent such transportation scam. Scammers know well tourists are worried that they can't go back to their hotels and they have to spent the night in a strange location, and they will pay whatever the scammers say. These scammers are like robbers.
Been in thailand last 2019 with my partner. It was the bad experience for me aswell, scam is everywhere specially when they know that your a tourist. Transportation fare to locals and tourist are totally different, 3 fold than the regular fare.

This is part of the reason why the government is expanding public transport so much. Taxis and any ride hire service scams tourist so much. You're better off hiring a private driver for a fix price if you can't bare public transport.
Yeah these scammers are terrible. I got scammed by them when I was there years ago. They dropped us off at the water taxi depot rather than the actual market and demanded 2000Thb for a "tour". Worst experience in Bangkok.
The taxi's and bus there are always scamming for money. Lucky when I went back to Thailand with my mom we were with our family who lived in Thailand and my auntie bitched out the driver so bad that he was so scared 😂🤣😂
Lol sounds like my thai aunt 😂 she will bitch out anyone who crosses her. My mom would as well. I went to the mall with my American friend and we split up from my family to shop together and some lady charged me so much for some jeans and when I told my mom how much I paid for them she freaked out (btw I was sorta young and didn't understand really how much I was spending), anyway she went back to the thai lady and started yelling at her and caused a scene. I was so embarrassed at the time, but now I'm so grateful lol
Bangkok full of scammers! This is what i experienced from my trip 3-4 months ago, as a first timer. From the tuk2, bolt drivers, the floating market packages and also street food. My floating market trip they firstly charged 2500thb per boat of 4 pax, damn expensive! But after some argument they reduced to 1500thb per boat (an hour boating much more expensive than our halfday shuttle trip from bangkok. Can u imagine??). Eventhough i still feel the price was unreasonable, we agreed as my sister wanted no more arguing. Nothing really special about the package i can say hmm..
I'm Thai and I was dissapointed to see them yell and scam. If I was there the driver would be taking a nap on the road if he ever raised his voice at me. It's better if tourist book any transportation with the hotel. It's much safer that way.Take care.
This happens all over the world. Even here in America taxi drivers in cities like New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or any other major tourists destination are gonna try to scam you. That's why its always wise to know your options on how to get around the city that you're in as well as learning some of the language. Having only 1 option is never wise
Precisely. It's also always good to have a backup plan. Lucky, in our era of the internet, we can do some research and find alternative options or better tips on how to move around in foreign countries. I have saved tons of money just by learning the routes of local buses in Bangkok online. Also, there are always a bunch of expat forums about pretty much every major country. Typically expats living there write useful articles about real life there, unlike Instagram bloggers, who only post pretty picture for the sake of views.
Having been to all these major cities, ironically, most taxi drivers are from Middle Eastern, Latin American, and African countries and they have the same mindset of the third world countries.
These small mini-vans are a big business in Thailand, and while they are affordable, there's a serious health concern many people overlook: the risk of disease inside the vans. Longer trips, common with these vehicles, increase the chance of exposure to illnesses like tuberculosis (TB). Sitting close to numerous passengers, often from various parts of Southeast Asia, can lead to inhaling contaminated air. If your immune system is compromised, you could contract TB or even worse, MDR-TB (multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis). MDR-TB develops when people with regular TB stop their medication prematurely, allowing the bacteria to become resistant to standard treatment. Keep this in mind when booking these vans - you may be walking into a high-risk environment for germs and viruses
I just send your video to the department of tourism. I hope they will come to check on these people. It's illegal to scam like this in Thailand and hope they can do something. We are really sorry that something like this happened to you.

many people say awww they are poor and desperate but realistically they are not poor - everyone was eating something!! pure scammers.. give thailand a bad name - so sad but this exists everywhere....
Been to Bangkok once and never would come back, as soon you set foot on the ground from Taxi or Paid tours, you will be scammed as if the whole City is set up to scam tourists. I understand scams are everywhere especially in touristy places but damn, every corner and every attractions you go to just watch your back. It's not a really pleasant feeling and there's not much there to waste your money and time there.
What happen to the tourist police use to prevent scammers way back in the '80 at tourist hot spot? These crooks know tourist are not familiar with the place and at their mercy for transport. Such tourist spots are controlled by mafia-like operator. GRAB and taxi will not go there. You have to walk to the main road. Same for small operators in the tourist places, they take your money and pretend to forget to give you the change and often when you ask for it, they short change you. Not all places but these crooks are everywhere and just want to take something from you.
Thank you for the video. I just wanted to say that you're not alone. I was also a victim of thailand native scammers throughout my trip there. Yes, I did do my research before going but none of the resources help as I encounter them first hand and was not able to do anything about it. Like some comment below saying that thai cop(s)/royal soldier(s)/security guard(s) stood there but turn blind eyes throughout the scam in front of him/them.
Thank you for sharing especially for pointing out you weren’t trying to give the Thai people a bad name as a whole however this will help someone better prepare when they are taking trip and traveling around. I know in the Philippines there is a scam they do with taxis that pick up foreigners from the airport. Most of these coins have the most polite humble people that you will meet
No. Not all Thais but majority of Thais are rude and disrespectful people. Maybe it’s me, but I have encounters so many rude people. I know people who also experienced unpleasant encounter with Thais too. I know there are good Thais but I rarely come across any. When you’ve money, they are nice to you. That’s why they learned the tactic of scamming tourists. Just be on the outlook and travel smart, safe, and alive.
i got scam by philipine taxi drivers as well. dishonest bunch. i still paid them for their services. poor 3rd world people. Hope my extra $ help levitate their poverty. money is no problem to me. If i'm a poor man, i'll raise hell. hahaha!!
I'm Thai and I'm angry with these kind of people. They way of thought were "If these tourist could afford to travel that's mean they're rich, so it wouldn't hurt if I take some money from them!!" What's more is sometime they refuse service for their own country man, they focus solely on tourist so they could scam them. One time I called a taxi at air port, the driver looks supper annoyed when he see that's I'm Thai and tried to refuse to take me.
When I was in Bangkok they tried to scam us too we took a tuktuk wanted to go to the royal Palace the guy even tho I knew how the Palace looked like drove us to a random place and said we should get a boat to go there bc it's on the other side of the river (we were on the right side of the river) we said no just bring us to the Palace he was so mad he said he's tired he's not gonna go there bc it's the other side and he's hungry ect we should take the boat my aunt was so mad she shouted at him to sit back and bring us the the freaking Palace otherwise we're not paying a single thing (bc he said it's time to pay him bc he brought us to the boats). So finally he sit back and drove us to once again to a wrong place it was a school or a big house idk it was pretty tho but it wasn't the Palace yet he said it was even tho there were even pictures of the palace inside the tuktuk as destination where we can go. So in the end we kinda got a Bangkok tour by tuktuk for the original price (bc we said we not gonna pay more for his bullshit) bc he tried so hard to scam us so it wasn't the best experience but I'd love to go back to Bangkok for better experiences.
I'm saddened see this happened. I've been to Thailand last 2017 and let me tell you it was my best experience in a foreign country. I drop my 500 baht in Chatuchak market and it was given back to me by the vendor where I bought an anklets from. I will never forget that experience that's why Thai people always have a special place in my heart and I've always wants to go back. I hope this scamming will not prosper it really gives a bad name to Thailand.
That is exactly why I avoid the big cities and tourist traps when possible. The people in the smaller cities and villages are not like their city counterparts. I am sure this is true in every country throughout the world.
Too bad the freaking Thailand Government is also part of their party so none of them will be charge. This is why when traveling to these Southeast Asian countries, you should consider looking into a good reputation travel agency to help guide you.
This is a shame after a nice day and ended up scammed. Thanks for bringing this up. Sorry to say that I don’t think the authority will not do anything to get rid of that, They all really need to learn a hard lesson.
If we go in tour packages, we will not scam by those taxi or car service. Just buy clothes in shop with research and help us negotiate their price. I rarely eat in those place but only Thai store who has price on it.
I am thai and I am so sorry this happen to you. 3 years ago I went back to Thailand to visit with my sister in law. We had similar case. They try to charge us ฿2000 for night market and taxi. We decided to rent a car and drove around. 🙃
I'm glad you don't let those things sour you on the people there. As you said, it's a part of travelling. Even if you are aware of the situation, they still have you in a bad position when there are no options and its late at night. Glad everyone made it home okay.
Thanks for sharing with us. This is something that I don’t want to get involved. They looked kinda rude to the customers and plus not hygiene… im super fan of street food but this is very unpleasant. :/
Hello, I'm Thai. Really sorry about your bad experience. Really takes a single fish to spoil the whole pond. I hope you did enjoy the rest of your stay tho :)
I experienced before during my trips not only in Thailand but also other country. To overcome this I resort in renting a self driving vehicle and rely on GPS to move around and outskirts. The rental cost may be slightly high but I am satisfied because if you get scammed by paying more the cost may be more or less the same or maybe more higher than the rental cost. Renting is more to your own leisure time and may seek accomodation at your own pace. My piece of idea only.
Make sure you have a full coverage auto insurance. If you get involved in any accidents in Thailand, I assure you will be at fault as a foreigner, even if you get rear ended. Thai police will be happy to show up to get his cut of the money after he finds you at fault.
When we’re in Thailand, we hired a private driver for $60/day who will take us everywhere, translated for is, and wait for us at every spot. He’s also super nice, and will lend us money until we can get to a bank or ATM.
how much was the taxi rate cause u said the mini van was 100baht ? if 300-400 baht i would paid and moved on ,i went to tokyo and took a taxi from airport to city center and it was over 200usa dollar or 7200baht

She asked me for 600 bath for leg massage. I told her to stop and said I did not asked for that , we agreed foot massage for 400 baht. She said she did leg massage already and I had to pay 600 baht first prior to do foot massage for another 400 baht. I just gave 600 baht and walked away . Shame ! Shame ! Shame!
I have sent your clip to the transportation authority in Thailand. related to complaints Including the Ministry of Tourism. And those who cheated on you will soon be punished. They must learn that If they work in tourism, then Tourists are naturally the most important people.
I went to the floating market with my family pre covid. I booked the tour online and paid abt rm50 for each person. This included a trip to the train market as well, pick up from hotel and drop off in khao san road. All in all it was a good experience.
We went to Rot Fai (?) and was served spoiled seafood! Little did they know, we are Filipinos and we know our seafood. Even if they KNOW, they were still forcing us to pay for the whole meal. Unbelievable. Of course we are used to this so we did not pay a single cent and warned the Chinese tourists around us but they seem really clueless what we were talking about. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time in Thailand. You just really have to be careful. Growing up in Manila helped a lot though lol.
Most likely they are chinese mainlanders, they speak no English and are always bragging about how much money they have. Speak no English at all. They do the same type of scams so it's Karma coming back to bite them. I would have understood your warning though as I'm Canadian despite looking Asian.

Unfortunately still very common in Thailand! From jet skis, taxi scams , then at the top, Thai airways still owe us £1000 from before the pandemic. Flights that they cancelled and they offered us a full refund.. To this date, never received! You live and learn, Never again!
On top of that, he was picking them off the floor and straight into the grill. You can tell he hates tourists and doesn't care what they see yet that's the hand that feeds him.

Good luck, be careful, & travel smart.
yea. basically this. pay a little bit more and get the private service. and is more convenient and safer for you.
P.S. I still love Thailand.
theybtold us 80$ each too we were like f it let's leave. they ended up taking 5$ each just walk and they change price

The scammers pay a lot of tribute to police every month or maybe day. From what I heard 10,000 bath is minimum time to time.
In fairness this happens in all countries with tourist that are not in the know. Sadly with COVID scammers will make even more of an appearance. Scams are usually associated with over changing customers. If you feel the costs are too high. Simply say no.. no sense of arguing with someone.

Always Use one of the taxi apps like bolt and you will not be overcharged
No it's not the same.
Kudos to you for putting yourself in danger and helping a stranger ❤️

Thank you. Thailand is a beautiful country, I hope these scams stop. Stay safe!
@@kalltravels They did to Thai tourist too but We argued them and always told them that We will report them to the police. Most of the time It's works!
Sorry for having to go through this scammers in Thailand. As a Thai person, I wish we have some kind of reporting app for these beviours. They deserve some punishment from the government. Really unacceptable.
many people say awww they are poor and desperate but realistically they are not poor - everyone was eating something!! pure scammers.. give thailand a bad name - so sad but this exists everywhere....
Yes, I did do my research before going but none of the resources help as I
encounter them first hand and was not able to do anything about it.
Like some comment below saying that thai cop(s)/royal soldier(s)/security guard(s)
stood there but turn blind eyes throughout the scam in front of him/them.
They way of thought were "If these tourist could afford to travel that's mean they're rich, so it wouldn't hurt if I take some money from them!!"
What's more is sometime they refuse service for their own country man, they focus solely on tourist so they could scam them.
One time I called a taxi at air port, the driver looks supper annoyed when he see that's I'm Thai and tried to refuse to take me.
You scammed the scammer by being Thai. 🤣
I was at the Floating market 2 weeks ago. It was disgusting. The river is nasty, dirty and stink. And the food is over priced.
I rarely eat in those place but only Thai store who has price on it.
they work with the taxi operator to get commission$ from them by diverting passengers away from the minibus.
I read in the newspaper that this floating market was completely burned down in September 2023.
This must be karma
I was actually planning on going to Thailand but now, I'll never.
Don't forget your dash camera too
When we’re in Thailand, we hired a private driver for $60/day who will take us everywhere, translated for is, and wait for us at every spot.
Even I am a Thai guy living aboard, I got scam by thai beach massage in pattaya. I and her agreed on price for foot massage 400 baht , then she start at my upper leg.
Appreciate that brother. Share it with your friends. We fight these scammers together 💪
Very underrated channel. Deserve more views
I went to the floating market with my family pre covid. I booked the tour online and paid abt rm50 for each person. This included a trip to the train market as well, pick up from hotel and drop off in khao san road. All in all it was a good experience.
Nice! That’s a very reasonable price 👍
50rm per person? not worth it for me. as i see in this video. it is just a market.
@@zenfonedavid4466 my intention was to visit the train market not the floating market. Considering the distance and the convenience, it was reasonable
Doesnt matter where you travel to, there will always be scammers especially in places with a lot of tourism.
Well, they don’t have this in Singapore, does it ? I think in Thailand it’s more apparent
The video was not quite accurate! For a late night mini bus of $3!! Some people called a scam!!! Lol
Good. luck try find scammer in Norway! LOL....NONE!
@@suzy5166 r u the scammers wife?
Really din see that in Singapore.
Do not visit unpopular place with public transportation, except private or rent in group.
This is a big help. Thank you taking the time to put this together.
So the moral is to avoid southeast asia
@@slee2695 scammers are everywhere no matter where you are. Southeast Asia is beautiful but it’s not as developed yet so you have to be vigilant. It’s still safe generally.
@@slee2695 Lol What? You have been staying in your bubble for a long time.
@@slee2695 You will be surprise that Italy has a lot of scammers and pick pockets.
I’ve been scammed doing some shady stuff in Japan. It happens and it’s just easier to take the scam instead of fighting it if the only thing you’re gonna lose is money. And I don’t even think this amount is literally worth fighting over especially if there is a language barrier. Live and learn 🤣🤣🤣
If it's just tiny little scams. That cost a few bucks.
Very informative. subbed and shared
Thanks! Hopefully this makes people aware 🍻
Scam start the moment you leave the airport ... the way the end it is when leave the country
16:58 I still love THAILAND is much important tag line for all #thailand #scams
Unfortunately still very common in Thailand! From jet skis, taxi scams , then at the top, Thai airways still owe us £1000 from before the pandemic. Flights that they cancelled and they offered us a full refund.. To this date, never received! You live and learn, Never again!
Poor prawns...the man kept slamming them on the table...while alive thats no way to treat a lifeform that provides you with food.
On top of that, he was picking them off the floor and straight into the grill. You can tell he hates tourists and doesn't care what they see yet that's the hand that feeds him.
@@chadd9748 that was really weird
Yeah that was horrible. So disrespectful and showed his character.
