Time attack of Angel Island Act 1 Glitchless in Sonic Advance, with Tails, in 1:04:88
For-fun unoptimized IL of this stage without the path swapper glitch - contrary to popular belief, the consistent version of the skip is really easy, and in full-game runs, I'd strongly prefer to do that than this stage in-bounds as it's really hard to get all of the strats smoothly.
0:13 - I meant to land on this spike ball and fall to the right, which lands Tails on the rightmost descending platform - I whiffed but landed on a different descending platform anyways, so I guess it worked out.
0:17 - There are like 4 different ways to cross this gap with Tails, but doing a slope jump into tight flight is only barely the fastest by frames and only if you optimize his flight perfectly. What I do here is both super consistent and fastest 99% of the time, which Sonic and Knuckles would do too. Turns out, flying slow.
0:49 - Getting these descending flights cleanly is horribly inconsistent and unreliable and obnoxious. Main reset point here.
