The SmallRig VB99 Pro mini V-mount battery is a premium powering device that can be used to charge and power cameras, laptops and other kinds of electronics simultaneously via USB-C, USB-A, DC output and of course D-Tap. The upgraded version of the popular battery has a capacity of 99Wh, a fireproof and drop-proof structure, features a bright TFT color screen and has two 100W USB-C ports of which one can be used to charge the battery itself.
The compact device fits in one hand which means it’s roughly 70% of the size of most V-mount batteries and only weighs 645g.

There's just something about your approach of storytelling that I enjoy thoroughly.
It is crazy to see how Small-Rig has turned from a cheapo company into a well-respected gear manufacturer.
I agree but I wouldn’t call them “cheap” but rather affordable. They’ve always been associated with having exceptional quality at a low price point.
You're one of the few channels that I can count on constantly when it comes to topics and quality of content. Thank you gentlemen!
Thank you George, we truly appreciate it!
Love that candle or fire effect you used to light the product shots you're always so creative.
Batteries are not exactly a hot topic but you two manage to make any piece of gear interesting.
Wow, can't believe you are still doing this. I remember your excellent recommendations close to a decade now. Thank you.
It's a great day when FENCHEL+JANISCH upload new content I am a long time watcher and never miss a video :-)
You're putting so much work into these videos I honestly don't think most people appreciate it. That being said: I would love to see camera reviews from you again. Any way Sony, Canon and Fuji are reading this?
We give our best, Canon wouldn't even let us borrow a camera, haha.
You guys must have a review gear room now the size of a small city. :) Nicely done.
Especially the power stations consume a lot of space, these smaller items are not so critical.
nice to see you guys still using fuji cameras youre the reason i got an xt3 back in the day.
I got the exact same clamp and plate but never used it this way this way actually a very helpful tip.
YO GUYZ YOUR VIDZ NEVER CEAZE TO AMAZE KEEP ON SHOOTIN WIDE OPEN
this is one of those investments thats probably worth it in the long run - not cheap but durable!
😮Nice job on the review.
Sehr cool
This is really helpfull, thank you for sharing, I didn't know such device exists, but makes sense.
Your welcome, please have a closer look at it.
Great Video, very insightful ✨ small question if combined with Zhiyun Molus x100. lets say power at 70% how long would this battery last considering its a 100W light, would appreciate your response. Thanks again
no information about its batteries. What is she on? samsung, panasonic?
I just bought one, worked fine for a few hours, then it started to show 0.8W draw even though nothing is hooked up, and also the power button doesn't work when i hold it. It won't turn off the screen. In fact the screen would stay on all the time. Also, the battery loses charge on its own slowly. It says 5 days something battery life left when nothing is plugged in. Anyone experienced this? Any solutions?
Hey man, I'm running an A6700 and an Atomos Ninja V as the monitor. Is it safe to connect the Atomos Ninja V to the VB99 D-tap and the A6700 through a Smallrig dummy battery plugged into the 8V port of the VB99? It's getting a bit confusing and I wanna make sure I don't damage anything
I just bought this brand new and the 12V port does not work. It does not power on my Ninja V Plus.
I am so sorry to hear that, hope the support could assist.
Can you turn off your battery while all the cables are connected? I don’t understand this power button. It auto turns on as soon as a cable is connected. The power off button will not turn the battery off until all the cables are removed. Try turning off the battery while the cables are connected. It won’t work. Why do I have to disconnect all the cables to turn off battery?
There is nothing pro about this battery other than one extra USBC port. Highly disappointed with small rig. Power button issues and 12v port not working at all.
Gute Idee!
