    Tips for foreigners: if you want to work at LVMH or Kering the most efficient way is to study in a top 5/6 french business school a taking the "Grande Ecole program" (it is expensive but not super hard to enter for foreign student because they have quota for internationals) or in prestigeous french university (Dauphine or Sorbonne) which are less expensive but they do not offer a lot of english program.

    Hello! So I’ve been here for 4 years in a small town as well and I’ve studied graphic design but I’m considering moving to Paris to do fashion. But I want to continue my studies so I was considering maybe a second licence in marketing? Or a master that gets me closer to fashion. Any recommendations? :) thank you in advance

    • @Fancyandparis
      @Fancyandparis  4 года назад +3

      How cool! Yes like business or marketing should be a good option. I believe maybe a Master is not "necessary" just to get a job in fashion, but it depends on what you want :) Also, try to intern in fashion as much as possible 🙌

      Hi girls,
      Even as French I found it difficult to enter within the fashion industry! 😱
      But if you want some other tips there’s this course I discovered while in lockdown that actually helped me to spot my mistakes when applying courses.glamobserver.com/courses/how-to-break-into-the-fashion-industry3?affcode=348774_ssiwm5mc

      Of course, I would advise you to follow free courser on RUclips Iknow there are plenty, watch plenty of movies in French to get your ear used to the sound, also listening to french music and following along with the lyrics helped me a lot! hope it helps 😘

    I absolutely love your videos! I am studying something completely different than fashion right now, but I’ve learned that I want to live in Paris in the future. I’m already 19, but I think it may be worth it to start from the bottom, but I don’t quite know how to reach my dream of living and working in Paris. Marketing and fashion is very interesting to me, so would you advise going to university in Paris and studying business/ fashion while learning French? If I was able to go to University in France, learn French, and study business would that give me an advantage to finding a job in Paris- especially one related to fashion or marketing? Lastly, if I’m an American will it be harder for me to find a job since I’m not from Europe? Sorry for the long comment, I’ve just been struggling to find a way to finally move to Paris and do what I want!

    • @Fancyandparis
      @Fancyandparis  4 года назад +1

      Hi Kathryn , thank you so much for watching ❤️ If you can come to Paris definitely do! being already here and speaking french will definitely make it easier for you to enter the job market specially in fashion. You being from the US will not make it harder to find a job, if you speak the language and have all your papers in order you should have as good of a chance as anyone. I would say it's easier to enter a company by first doing an internship for them specially in fashion. internships are everything. You could also start interning in the US and get some fashion background before coming here, that might help as well :) Hope that helps, if you have any more questions DM me on insta 😘

    Hi,thank you so much for sharing! I’m international student and I want to work in high fashion brand in the future, I don’t think that I can afford going to fashion or business schools in Paris or in grandes ecoles)I see only one option for studying and it’s public university,but I don’t know on which major I should apply to end up like a fashion intern there:(I thought about International Business but again it’s only available in business schools like hec edhec etc; maybe you can advice smth ?Thank you 🤍

      Hi there! thank you for watching ❤️ there are lots of universitites that have majors that could allow you to work in fashion, I for example studied economics and did a master's degree in consulting... it doesn't have to be business or fashion it can be economics related, marketing...

    Thanks for the video! How was the visa situation? Is it hard to find a job with work visa after graduation?

    • @Fancyandparis
      @Fancyandparis  4 года назад +4

      Actually after you graduate you can ask for a work visa for 1 year to look for a job on the same field of your studies. Once you have a signed contrcat you can renew it year by year :)

    • @rtzhang
      @rtzhang 4 года назад

      Fancyandparis oh great - isn’t this a ‘work visa’ that company needs to sponsor? Are companies willing to hire foreigners?

    • @Fancyandparis
      @Fancyandparis  4 года назад +2

      @@rtzhang It's not a work visa it's called APS, it's only fo students of Master's degrees that would like to get job experience :) Yes, as long as you have this paper companies are willing to hire foreigners :)

    Que opinas de las personas que han estudiado diseño de moda pero quieren entrar al área de mercadotecnia.
    Será que tendremos la oportunidad de ingresar a esas áreas?

    • @Fancyandparis
      @Fancyandparis  3 года назад

      Por supuesto! yo pienso que lo mas importante es la experiencia, hay mucha gente en la industria de la moda con backgrounds muy diversos! entonces empieza con algun internship para ganar algo de experiencia y una vez tengas eso, va a ser mucho mas facil 😘
