Got a proposal for ya: Ask a character designer about WWE 2K22 character designs. Have some twenty originals plus five times as many based on games, politicians, actors, ect. Last I saw there were some half a million works shared online. Maybe an expert could judge a few.
I didn't know I wanted this episode, but I *needed* to hear this game discussed from a Pastor's POV. I'm an ex-JW that was raised in that group. I see a lot of what Princeton Parker is discussing in my past experiences. The Peggies and plot of Far Cry 5 is what drew me to this game. I love replaying it too.
Don’t care what anyone says about the game itself. The intro to this game is one of the most intense and atmospheric intros I’ve experienced in a FPS. And the music really brings it all together
@nemo pouncey I wanted to kill him throughout 5, but after I played New Dawn, I couldn't bring myself to do it. The second he realized he wasn't actually hearing God, but just had scrupulous thoughts, was the second I beat him. I didn't pull the trigger, because I wanted to watch him suffer with me.
As a person who actually escaped a cult out in the Arizona desert this video gives me a sense of relief. Far Cry 5 is also a great stress reliever for that reason. 🙍
@@tomasdelcampo2 It's a bit sensitive so I won't go too deep into it but let's just say I was down on my luck and the "pastor" took me into his desert compund when I had recently lost everything. It was fine until he started talking about the end days and this compound would be spared, the salvation of humanity. He promised to help me, but he lied to lure me in and then I couldn't leave and had nowhere to go. I was trapped for a couple months until some good Samaritan's (Actual christians) helped me to escape. I'm still putting my life together after losing everything and everyone, but I'm far away from that place now and that's all that matters.
I really liked that the priest understood what kind of villains the Seed are. That mixture of charming people and horrible human beings. The creators of the FC5 script did a good job
@@BACDuke81 he was right about one thing, so he must be right about everything! 2 plus 2 is 4 and you should wear your clothes backwards. the first thing i said was right, so now you must do the second thing, right?
This cult is actually what drew me to FC5 in the first place. It's *very interesting* for me to hear a Pastor's view on this because I grew up as JW(I left). Hoo boy, was I getting some uncomfortable flashbacks in the beginning where the Pastor was describing the cult specific language. It's true, these groups do have unique terms for each other and their own coded language that outsiders aren't used to. 100% right about the elitism & fear. I get a kick out of groups that say "we are the true religion and only way to salvation".
@AMaidenlessRunt I'm unfamiliar with real Christianity(everything was skewed by Jehovah's Witnesses). So I can't speak on that. I have no idea of what happens in churches, but was curious of how a Pastor, Priest, etc. would view the Peggies. All I know is to avoid millenarian groups like JW, Mormon, Seventh Day Adventist, Christian Science. All of these cults were created around the same time. I do have tl;dr issues with JW(more accurately, the ruling Governing Body instead of ordinary members) that are probably too long to get into here.
I’d also like that. I remember a LOT of promotional material for the game talking about how Ubisoft talked to a lot of cult de programmers and former members of cults for the game, but Eden’s Gate never gave me the feeling of anything more than typical evil doomsday cult vibes, just this time with a ridiculously well armed militia to boot.
I’d love to see him react to Joshua Graham from Fallout New Vegas. He’s a very Old Testament character who uses it to justify his defense of his people through violence
The post-apoc Mormon use of language there would be pretty interesting, hadn't thought about that. It's still hilarious how often I see stuff selling that 'fire inside me' quote without realizing its from a video game war criminal's redemption arc dialogue.
The craziest thing about FC5 was that Joseph Seed was right. He actually had a vision of the world bathed in fire. The nuke actually goes off, and he's not the one who launched it. Multiple countries broke down into full-out war and launched nuclear offenses at each other. You hear it in several radio broadcasts over the course of the game.
He was right. But was he a prophet or was it coincidence? And if he was left alone and there was no government intervention would his cult have made it impossible for the sisters in New Dawn to take over? All interesting questions to ponder.
It's stranger that in the sequel story, you'd rather be buddy buddy with Joseph (who's somehow taken a massive chill pill at that point) and his little community.
@@paulhammer4941 it's a fuсking game. In the real word? yes, it would be a coincidence. But it's a fictional game, and it can have a little bit of fantasy to it
Read the gospels. As in depth as you can so you can have as deep of a knowledge as you can to make the most informed decision. I’d say not just as a Christian but as a person, fight for a sure and firm hold on who God is. My line of thinking with that is that it would be such a waste to miss such an opportunity because you never know. Christianity for many is the most fulfilling venture of their lives. Don’t let your mother’s possible misrepresentation hold you back from what could be the best thing to happen to you. If after all that, you don’t come to believe in Jesus. Then you don’t believe in Jesus, and simply move on.
Joseph Seed is my all time favourite antagonist. The voice actor to the articulation of the writing, his body movements and style, his ability to make you FEEL like he isn't the antagonist. Just a perfect charater
@@eliodergamer that has been my only complaint about Farcry 5 -- that there wasn't many moments with the antagonists. Loved all of the Seeds and their voice actors and I wanted more!
Make you feel like he isn't the antagonist? I felt the exact opposite when I played. This man was absolutely terrifying to me and never not felt like a villain and evil person
@@eliodergamer Remember, Manson was a cult leader and didn't have to fight or kill any of his targets himself either due to his manipulation and influence
That part where's he's crying and snot is running down his mouth and chin? The actor really was crying and dripping snot that heavy and they captured it. That's why the physics of it were so real. He is a great actor.
@@guimcast1 Ngl that one made me giggle a bit too much. But I'm happy to report I have no affiliation to no doomsday cult. That's not how God is supposed to work, you see?

@@theHardyMonster1984 because people like seeing a pastor delve into these sorts of topics, especially when they are of the belief system that the pastor talks about
The intro is one of the best video game introductions I’ve ever played imo because while Joseph is preaching to the sheriff, deputy, and the Marshall before getting arrested, he says “and behold a white horse” and the sheriff on the right has the last name of Whitehorse, and then he says “and Hell followed with him” as he looks directly at you, who inevitably tears his whole organization to the ground. And then eventually he’s proven right because the world does end and the nukes do drop. You can also hear on the (non-cult) radio throughout the game that international relations are not doing well and that the world is really unstable. I love Far Cry 5 so much.
You can also find notes that reveal Joseph knows how unstable the world is and went out of his way to get a nuke knowing if he detonated it in the middle of nowhere it would set off the worlds fragile peace. Joseph instigated the end to prove himself right. This is his greatest delusion. He believes he is the worlds salvation but if he would’ve just stopped at being a prepper cult the end wouldn’t have come.
@@GraveEnd I mean it’s not directly continuing any previous game if that’s what you mean. Each game is basically just “Person is normal. Person goes to place. Bad thing happens. Person has to survive. Person survives.” But most of them are in a far away place (at least to me, an American) while this one takes place in a part of my country that looks very familiar to me.
@@GraveEndcanonically speaking it’s not connected to the previous games. It’s an alternate timeline, which is probably a retcon by the devs. The world ending in nuclear fire would make it very challenging for the devs to make new games in the same timeline. It would basically just be Fallout if they tried, so after FC New Dawn they retconned this game in the canon with FC6. While there are recurring characters such as Willis Huntley, and some Easter eggs/plot points in New Dawn that connect it to the previous games, it’s not the canonical sequel to the previous games. FC6 is the direct, canonical sequel to FC4. This game and New Dawn are on a branching timeline from that game.
Seed is one of THE best Far Cry villains, he's frightening because people like him exist now, Mega Church leaders, cult leaders, they're real and are just like Joseph.
Ubisoft so often have a perfect initial premise and amazing character introductions, especially those with a real aspect like seed, napoleon (i know but the character is different from the real guy), el sueño etc. But then they so often fuck it up like the ending of fc6 or just new dawn.
This is why, to me, this is the best farcry ever. It has its flaws. but Joseph Seed is just straight up the most terrifying villain i’ve ever seen in a farcry game
I mean he and practically the whole game is based off David Koresh, the Branch Davidians and the whole Waco incident, so yeah it’s not that surprising he’s so realistic of a villain.
whats more frigthening is that the developers team make us witness the catastrophic ending where we (as the player) could all agree that Joseph was right all along. the end is near. You can feel it can you?
Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." This also applies to priest being called father, and should give you a since about the reality of the world we live in.
Matthew 23:1-9 “Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying, ‘The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens [hard to carry] and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them. All their works are performed to be seen. They widen their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation ‘Rabbi.’ As for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi.’ You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven.” what Jesus was saying was that he was condemning the pride and hypocrisy of the Pharisees of his time because they were teaching people many rules but not practicing these teachings themselves. They were showing off with titles of Honor such as teacher to exalt themselves those who teach God's laws must do so with humility and not put themselves above God in short. Jesus did not mean for us to literally avoid calling people father or teacher further evidence of this is shown in scriptures when Paul refers to our Father Isaac in Romans chapter 9 verse 10. Also Stephen makes use of the word father by stating our father Abraham Acts chapter 7 verse 2
@@jeseelopez6667 Alternatively, interpret the meaning of 'father' as 'creator' or 'maker', and have a much more accurate understanding of what was meant, going right back to false idolatry and the commandment against it. Calling someone 'father' is basically and acknowledgement to yourself being in a 'lesser' position in the context at hand. In the case of clergy, calling them 'father' is a reference to their supposed greater wisdom and understanding of the lord, not anything more than that, referring back to their role as a teacher to their 'fliock' as it were. People taking the wording in the bible literally makes me quite annoyed. We KNOW the bible has been translated (and re-translated based on that initial one, and so on and so forth) after it's original writing MULTIPLE times. The words do not exactly match up, so taking them literally is silliness. Same with the 'bible is the direct word of god' silliness. It is EXPLICITLY written by other people, talking of the acts of the biblical figures. With that comes some level of personal bias to the takeaways from what occurred, and the presentation of events. That is not to say there was any insincerity in such recollections, but that it is not 'from the horse's mouth', as the saying goes. On a side note, the strict adherence to the words of the bible (also the church in general) as an immutable truth sort of branches into idolatry, and involves ignoring many of the lessons of the new testament entirely.
Matthew 6:5-7 “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words."

He was but at the same time he wasn't, he was a false prophet, the whole core of Far Cry 5 is how Joseph and the entire cult are engaged in hubris, if you look at them closer, all 4 of the Seed family are in fact the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. John=Famine Faith=Pestilence Jacob=Death Joseph=War
The intro to farcry5 is one of the best intros ever i love how joseph doesnt resist at all but is in control the whole time and how he starts sing amazing grace in the helicopter and also how he uses his mindwashing ability over the headset whenever he says they dont need backup(:
Jesus DID say: "The world is very evil." Also, "don't be of the world." Also, "He who is not with me, will be against me." But he also said: "go and tell all nations." He NEVER SAID: "We are the nation. We're already big enough. Anyone who hasn't joined by now, unless I say otherwise, assume is the enemy. Take from them as you see fit." So that's where Joseph Seed most definitely crosses the line.
I am a muslim and in islam you cant call yourself a muslim if you have not accepted Jesus (peace be upon him) and yes he is a savior that will come during the end time, what was meant with “the world is evil” is that dont try to think that you will live a perfect and happy life this world is a place for trials and tribulations and the strong and pious will be the people of heaven. And the meaning of “don’t be of the world” the the solution to that don’t be too attached to this world enjoy it trough the good and the bad and be thankful because we were born with nothing and will go back with nothing except our deed, may God we with us through out life my brother! Amen
@@TheJoker-oq7sq : Tad bit different interpretation of matters. "Be not of the world" essentially means don't let the lures of the world (fame, fortune, sex, political power, money, etc.) become snares or idols. Because living for God is near-impossible when one of those other things starts becoming too important. So...similar. "The world is very evil" meaning, it is determined to fix our eyes off our salvation, and onto literally anything else, and human governments will more often than not grow evil if not pruned. Every type of society that forgets that lesson, pays for it with tyranny and injustice taking hold. Eastern, western, Islamic...no one is immune to the consequences.

My mathematics teacher was also hindu, and frankly speaking I sucked at maths, never passed in that subject my entire life until she helped me to do so. I cannot give you an Islamic perspective on hinduism since I've recently started to practice Islam (like praying namaz) and recently started to learn more about it, but having met Hindus it was a good experience
In Joseph's defense I can understand the quoting of scripture of Revalations, because some of what he quoted unfolded in this game. Save for a few inconsistencies. "When the Lamb opened the first seal, I heard a voice as if were the noise of thunder saying come and see, and I looked and I saw a white horse and Hell followed with Him." The line was a nod towards the real scripture because in the game, your boss the Sherriff of Hope County was named Whitehorse and the Hell that followed him was the Player, and that they would bring destruction and fire to the cult.
The story line in this game was pure gold IMO. You spend the whole game convincing yourself the Joseph is a crackpot, while from time to time you get a glimpse into his humanity.. Just to find out in the end he was right all along(albeit a bit nuts).
I love FC5 and it is without a doubt my favorite game to date, but to have a Pastor break down all the scripture I've heard in the game is very awakening to me. To realize that former and modern day cults that use the Word of the Lord to their benefit over its true intention is very scary.

Hey I just want to give you guys some serious kudos. There's a lot of theophobia out there in today's space and to actually bring a real priest / pastor to discuss this is really awesome. Given he's Pentecostal / Southern Baptist I think we'd have some disagreements on things but all the same a fellow brother in Christ. Very interesting analysis and he's spot on at least so far as I've watched of the video.
For some on the internet, they speak against religion because they do not understand it therefore it is more comfortable for them to criticize or they feel as if their beliefs are superior to any other with no regard for others beliefs. I do not subscribe to any belief but it’s never harmful to hear the words of scripture and it can be educational and can provide a lot of wisdom for people who need it the most. Those who criticize religion simply do not understand life or understand that everyone of us are entitled to our beliefs.
I would disagree on “theophobia”, people are just making an extreme correction in the other direction. Religion has been VERY influential and controlling in the past, and for people that escaped the more extreme groups it can be difficult to “give an inch”, considering how damaging religious control has been. It’ll balance itself out in the future where religion won’t be seen as such a dangerous rabbit hole and these public spaces will be easier on religious-based discussion, but being wary of groups that still have power and are extremely influential isn’t “phobic”.
@@itsjohnnyr8560 I would disagree that most “don’t understand”, rather the public image of it hasn’t been favorable. For as influential as religion has been, it’s 100% their fault. Religion isn’t difficult to understand; in fact it’s fairly simple. The type of people that are so anti-religion usually come from households where religion was used as a means of control. Lots of pain comes attached to that, so dismissing it as “you just don’t get it” is extremely reductive and comes off like you’re speaking in bad faith (pun intended).
I was just searching for some more Far cry 5 stuff as it’s one of my favorite games, the creepiness and the music and atmosphere are amazing. And to see this video now? It really brightens my day, thanks!!
I will say one thing about Joseph Seed; he was clearly a true believer. He honestly and genuinely believed he was doing the right thing. Even at the uh... spoiler for New Dawn, you know what I'm talking about, its clear he was still faithful just got a different perspective on things. This obviously falls under robber barons vs people who believe they're doing right and it doesn't make him less of a threat but its harder to hate someone whose doing his best to try and build a society that would thrive in a post apocalyptic world than someone who just wanted to play god.

Also I absolutely love watching this pastor talk about these games. I would love to watch him react to some religious horror such as Outlast 2, or even parts of the original Outlast!
I love how FC5 brings actual problems and real-life issues of cults. Characters are not clowns most of the time, and villains are obviously insane but interesting. Whatever people say about the game, I love it. I find this realistic even more after experiencing such an action like cultists did on myself and my hometown. I mean, I replayed the game, and I found it pretty accurate to what bunch of armed, fooled people look like. And a lot of people complain about how people stay in Hope County when it's actual danger and risk, people do it, people stay to fight, trust me. This game is much more than you think. And I claim it's a masterpiece, except physics😂😂😂. I believe it's the best in the FC series, and this got one of the best soundtracks and sound designs ever made.

Hey Padre, if you're reading the comments, the Seed family bio says they're from Rome, Georgia. Supposedly, this is based on the perception that the Anti-Christ will first appear on the earth in Rome. The older Rome.
While I'm not a religious man it's always great to get the reaction of someone like Parker, would like to see his take on more games I think he personally gets games in general.
I like how the pastor says too read them yourself and think about them yourself, I like that because everybody tries to tell YOU what the scriptures are and mean but yourself supposed to look within and think for yourself respect ✊🏻
Years later and this game’s ending still baffles me. How Far Cry 5 and New Dawn fit into the timeline with the rest of the games…we don’t know for sure and every time I try and figure it out my head hurts.
In the end Joseph Seed was right. However ... he truly set to save as as many people as possible based on his visions which he translated as a message from god. He became increasingly frustrated because nobody was taking him seriously. That is why he used the Bliss to make people follow him to the shelter. He went about it all the wrong way and became percieved as evil. When his initial intentions were not. He only fought to protect his bunker when outsiders arrived to destroy his safe haven. He truly saw law enforcement and the local police as evil because they were condemning people to suffer from what his visions told him was coming.
Here is why Joseph seed is one of my favorite villains, in the next chapter he comes to terms with the wrongs he has done, and asks you to kill him I did, and I had no hate for him when I did it. Felt like a mercy kill.
@@ohsinboi2721 nah. I let him live to continue to suffer and live in the pain that he had caused to so many others. Harsh. I.e. How so? He wasn't right. The nukes cause is revealed in the FC6 dlc. It wasn't a religious event but an attack. The player is completely in the right and so is the rebellion in the sense that Joseph and his family is killing and torturing those who do not bow to them.

Far cry 5 is better than far cry 6 in my opinion. It just seems more like a realistic type of thing that could happen. Fun fact there are in fact missing nuclear weapons in the United States that have never been found due to accidents.
Joseph seed in this game is an actual prophet, he cannot be stopped and everything he said would happen, happened. He may have been shallow about it but he was not wrong, he is much more humble in the next game. I actually loved this game, the bad guy was trying to save everyone and you prevented him. Love those kinds of twists
FC5 was the best for me. At least when I downloaded the Resistance Mod from Nexus. By increasing the difficulty along with the features of the mod, even driving down the road can be tense and dangerous.
What I find chilling is I was 10 at the time and I received a Vision. It started out with a huge crowd standing outside of a massive church building with walls as white as alabaster- such that it seemed to glow of its own accord. Atop this building was a massive cross brightly lit. All of a sudden, I heard a thunderous Voice that spoke in a Language that although I did not speak it, I knew what was being said. I can only describe the Language as maybe Aramaic or maybe Hebrew? The Voice said, " Unless Mankind, learns to live in peace and as One, a Great Calamity shall befall the World!" Just as I heard this, the crowd was crying out and yelling but in all different languages. I saw the Stars descending to the ground amid the din of the crowd. This terrified me and I am troubled by it to this very Day. I could have chalked this up to some sort of Nightmare, but I FELT what happened and saw everything with such clarity that I can only ascribe what I witnessed as a True Vision and a Warning from God Himself. Was this "church" representative of the Lord, and the crowd, people waiting in earnest to enter, even though the doors were closed? Did those closed doors of that massive church represent Humanity being barred from entrance into the Kingdom of the Most High because of Man's hatred and division towards One Another? Me bringing this up may seem odd and I know that the game described is fictional, as are the characters. But, seeing those nukes going off at the end of the Game and the fictional " Collapse", made me think about that event that I experienced back when I was ten.
As a former churchgoer myself where it eventually turned into a cult this game actually hit really close to home for me, making me realize the similarities between Eden’s Gate and where I used to go, nonetheless Far Cry 5 is easily my favorite of them, and to the place I used to go, if you see this comment, yes I love this game

5:39 Fun fact about John the Baptist mentioning. Joseph Seeds brother John, was the one “baptising” in this scene. Not at all a coincidence, this was fully intended, which is why I love Far Cry 5. Everything is analysed and almost translated into what Edens Gate and Joseph Seed is praying for.
Christ is my pastor. The pastor. The shepard of men. He tore the veil for a reason. We need no access to God through man, but only belief and prayer. Jesus freed us all from the bondage of our own sin. We are perfect through Him.
Then you need to play more games. FC5 was the end of the line for me, story progression than hinges on my character being shot by "bliss bullets" and kidnapped is the laziest writing I have EVER seen in 30 years of playing video games.
I 100% agree. Best story, best characters, best graphics, best map editor, best everything except multiplayer. They really dropped the ball on that one but its ok though because their game still rocked! Farcry 4 had the best multiplayer though. I'll never forget their announcement trailer when they flew the actor for joseph in a heli to preach on the alter. They executed it 100% I've never seen that level of commitment come from a studio before then and i haven't seen it again since. FC5 will go down as one of the best games ever made imo.
Personally for me Far Cry 5 is not the best but is not the worst either, The best far cry goes to Far Cry 3 where Ubisoft re-invent the open world FPS genre, since then Far Cry 3 became the template of all Far Cry games from Far Cry 4-6 and the quality of the games is going downhill since Far Cry 4. So technically Ubisoft just recycle Far Cry 3 over and over again by adding new coat of paint to it without any new gameplay element and effort in it.
@@videogameplay8460 well far cry 4 had improvements, especially in the sound design. The story was decent, and the combat is the most refined I’ve seen out of all 6 games and their various DLCs. Far Cry 5 seemed like a first-person ripoff of Just Cause 4
not gonna lie even if your not religious you have to admit the bible is an amazing form of literature. The story (real or not) is amazing. theres so much info to grab and so many interpretations. obviously i dont condone using religion for such ruthless purposes but like any good form of literature it deserves to be noticed as more than the religion its tied to and tbh that goes for all religion. their all just so cool.

What about Martial Artistsa react to "The Raid: Redemption"? There are so many cool fight scenes, it should be very interesting
I suggest Pastor Princeton Parker play the entire game and record a walkthrough.
Don’t care what anyone says about the game itself. The intro to this game is one of the most intense and atmospheric intros I’ve experienced in a FPS. And the music really brings it all together
No doubt
I don’t remember the intro that well actually but I do remember it being extremely atmospheric and genuinely had me hooked.

Oh like Christians in the U.S. do
@AMaidenlessRunt I'm unfamiliar with real Christianity(everything was skewed by Jehovah's Witnesses).
Now that I think about it, it'd be interesting to get the opinions of a cult expert on this too.

I got a question how does it relate to other far cry games like how’s it connected

If Ubisoft managed to keep their whole game as diverse as their killing soundtrack, it would be an instant critically acclaimed game.

Vaas from far cry 3.
Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven.”
what Jesus was saying was that he was condemning the pride and hypocrisy of the Pharisees of his time because they were teaching people many rules but not practicing these teachings themselves.
Matthew 6:5-7
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites.

Jesus DID say: "The world is very evil." Also, "don't be of the world." Also, "He who is not with me, will be against me." But he also said: "go and tell all nations."
He NEVER SAID: "We are the nation. We're already big enough. Anyone who hasn't joined by now, unless I say otherwise, assume is the enemy. Take from them as you see fit."
So that's where Joseph Seed most definitely crosses the line.

@@itsjohnnyr8560 well said
I would disagree on “theophobia”, people are just making an extreme correction in the other direction.

I will say one thing about Joseph Seed; he was clearly a true believer. He honestly and genuinely believed he was doing the right thing. Even at the uh... spoiler for New Dawn, you know what I'm talking about, its clear he was still faithful just got a different perspective on things. This obviously falls under robber barons vs people who believe they're doing right and it doesn't make him less of a threat but its harder to hate someone whose doing his best to try and build a society that would thrive in a post apocalyptic world than someone who just wanted to play god.
i dunno, i wished his methods were a little less...extreme.
but i guess people won't believe him then
@@wilsonweiseng6485 Not that they wouldn't believe him, but he wouldn't have been able to gather as many followers so fast of he was less extreme in his methods, it would've taken longer.
@@thepreacher7399 same thing, but im more concerned about who he really is, if he actually knew about the exact time they were going to use the nukes or according to some speculation, has a button that triggers all of them
@@thepreacher7399 And lost them all.
You’re doing something right with this one. I’m very happy that you brought him on to react to this.
Your explanation in all this is very delightful to hear. 👍
Thank you, Pastor Parker. It was enlightening to hear your take on a charged and in depth character.
I rather liked the end moment at 14:14 with that "Cool, cool, cool, cool." It's something I see in a lot of disciplines when you're just saying words as your brain lines up the greater pattern, from rap to debate.
Awesome! It always makes my day seeing Princeton react to something. Super interesting.
Always great hearing for Pastor Parker
I have been writing a Far Cry 5 fan fiction for the last 2 years or so and Joseph is one of these characters that I always struggle to do justice with whenever he has as scene.
Good luck with your fanfiction! Ik how hard it can be to write characters that are not your own, especially one as complex as Joseph. I've tried writing fanfiction but I always end up giving up, lol. Hope you finish it one day, take your time :D
@@theFakeRed Thank you. As for taking time nearly 2 years and 400,000+ words I sometimes feel like I am taking too much time. But the needs of plot demand it.
Cool
@@Hybris51129 Ooh, do you have a link for the fanfic? I'd like to read it, as 100,000+ word fanfics are somewhat hard to come by :)
Despite what people say, I liked the ending of Far Cry 5. I was sort of expecting it, but the build up to it and then the bomb going off was honesty quite memorable for me. Also I absolutely love watching this pastor talk about these games. I would love to watch him react to some religious horror such as Outlast 2, or even parts of the original Outlast!
Same, I love the ending to FC5 with the nuke. Definitely the most intense FC ending out of all of them.
Yo i LOVE Parker man. As a black man and a baptist (which is the same territory he is) he hits so many things that are related to me. His insights are great. He really is just teaching about things. Also that little run he did with “Amazing Grace” was perfect. GAMEOLOGY PLEASE KEEP BRINGING PARKER BACK.
This is the one I've been waiting for.
Bro’s the real life Pastor Jerome
As a Christian and gamer, I was super worried that this video would be cringey or misrepresent us, but it was quite good.
He needs to react to "we will rise again". The cult hymm in the game.
Here is why Joseph seed is one of my favorite villains, in the next chapter he comes to terms with
the wrongs he has done, and asks you to kill him
I did, and I had no hate for him when I did it. Felt like a mercy kill.
I let him live because I actually liked him and he was so angry about it 🥲
@@ohsinboi2721 Yeah same
@@ohsinboi2721 nah. I let him live to continue to suffer and live in the pain that he had caused to so many others. Harsh. But after what he did to my character from 5 (the rook) to turn them into, the judge. I felt no sympathy for a man who could cause that much suffering Willingly. Even if at the end of 5, he was right. To an extent
Except he still runs a cult, just under a different name and banner. He didn't change at all.
I let him live. He wasn't happy about that. But I felt he had to live until god was ready for him to die.
I.e. A Priest discovers most modern gaming world and movies have emotionally complex and human villains to ramp up the realism, awe and strike a chord with the audience and eventually make it more likeable and interesting hence driving up the sales.
Don't get me wrong though, traditional non-Machiavellian villians do still exists in straight forward action games.
I loved the world building in FC5, Seed was such a complex character.
The player is villian in Far Cry 5. Joseph Seed is a good man.
How so? He wasn't right. The nukes cause is revealed in the FC6 dlc. It wasn't a religious event but an attack. The player is completely in the right and so is the rebellion in the sense that Joseph and his family is killing and torturing those who do not bow to them.
For the longest time I tried to find a game that could suck me in. When I played the intro of this game, I had chills for literally the entire time, didn’t blink once. I’ll remember it for a long time I think
Far cry 5 is better than far cry 6 in my opinion. It just seems more like a realistic type of thing that could happen.
Fun fact there are in fact missing nuclear weapons in the United States that have never been found due to accidents.
Best far cry game. Stupid gamers just dont love overly dramatic games thats why it has its reputation.
Have him react to some of Joshua Graham’s dialogue
Joseph seed is one of the greatest characters in video games
Joseph seed in this game is an actual prophet, he cannot be stopped and everything he said would happen, happened. He may have been shallow about it but he was not wrong, he is much more humble in the next game. I actually loved this game, the bad guy was trying to save everyone and you prevented him. Love those kinds of twists
Depends on the ending, no?
ive been looking all over for this video this is so good
It would be interesting to have him react to Mass Effect! Especially the trilogy's biggest choices!
I want this guy to react to Joshua Graham from Fallout New Vegas
FC5 was the best for me. At least when I downloaded the Resistance Mod from Nexus. By increasing the difficulty along with the features of the mod, even driving down the road can be tense and dangerous.
god bless this man and you guys every video youguys post makes me happy :)
im also playing farcry 5 while im watching this
What I find chilling is I was 10 at the time and I received a Vision.
Editor is having a time changing face cam locations
I played this game alongside my grandfather who is also a pastor and he said the exact same things.
As a former churchgoer myself where it eventually turned into a cult this game actually hit really close to home for me, making me realize the similarities between Eden’s Gate and where I used to go, nonetheless Far Cry 5 is easily my favorite of them, and to the place I used to go, if you see this comment, yes I love this game
what did they believe?
@@josh.miller they had certain rules you had to follow, no Pokemon (lol) and just had a firm grip on anyone that’s been going there, now anything doomsday I can’t really say because this all happened over 10 years ago
Amen brother
MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!
Best Far Cry game. Period
Nah fc3 was the best
Yeah Gamology !
Finally a video on the perfect game who is Far Cry 5 !*
The story, the lore, the characters, THIS GAME IS THE BEST I KNOW !
Far Cry 4, Assassins Creed and Dishonored are laughing in the background
Seeing a Priest React to One of My Favourite Games Ever and The Game has Some Religious Aspects that I never saw or understood before is so cool
Princeton Parker is the coolest name for a pastor I've ever heard.
not gonna lie even if your not religious you have to admit the bible is an amazing form of literature. The story (real or not) is amazing. theres so much info to grab and so many interpretations. obviously i dont condone using religion for such ruthless purposes but like any good form of literature it deserves to be noticed as more than the religion its tied to and tbh that goes for all religion. their all just so cool.
Just unfortunate people take it too literal and try to convince people they should live their life a certain way
Joseph Seed was the saving grace of Far Cry 5
He is the coolest priest I've ever seen.
This was the one game that absolutely screwed me up mentally at the end…. You take all the pastor said and I agreed until the end when Joseph says “You know what this means?……… It means I WAS RIGHT…..” and it completely wrecked my thoughts of what made him a villain
3:07 one thing i love is that each of them has a phrase they say in a loading screen about that thing
This is unexpected.
I so wonder what else you guys are gonna do, serial killer reacts to Manhunt? Postal?
*aw damn, I'd love to see him react to other things like the cult music on the radio and analyze the lyrics and stuff, or looking at the cultists' apparel, or some of the cultists' interactions with other npcs, etc. Damn...*
Same.
This pastor is damn good at educating. Actually knows his stuff and makes Jesus sound like a gigachad lol. Everything I learned formerly as a Christian was incorrect, go figure.
@Leon lionhardt I don't have to prove it to you. He did.
the fact that he's speaking slangy with 'fam' about a shooter videogame and still talking seriously of what he studied the bible is hilarious. i'd love to watch him play the game
So we ain't talking about how nice is his singing voice is?like damn that smooth note he touched with falsatto
