I must say. I had a blast while playing this new game. Seeing how hope county evolved 17y later was interesting. I think it was a good approach to not do the same, lame post-apocalyptic setting as always. In my Opinion, Joseph is the best, most deep and most tragic villain of Far Cry, and i am very glad to play this game.
Can’t forgive what Joseph has done but he has realized his own faults and has become probably one of the most tragic villains in Far Cry. He believed his life was never his own, only carrying the Will of God. I can’t help but feel so bad for him
Interesting thought. Joseph wasn’t the force behind the nukes, he actually had visions of it happening and had prepared his cult. Puts it all in a new frame of mind. Even for my heathen ass. 😊
A lot of that was simply the violence getting out of the control. If you read Joseph's diary he says he realizes his siblings "fell into sin." If you listen closely in Far Cry 5, there are a lot of hints he was losing control of his people. He called John a "monster" and talked about your friends being "taken and tortured" like it was a bad thing.
He killed his daughter just to prove a point about himself, then went full emo when his son croaked. He also claimed to be against the violence of FC5, but personally told his followers “we will take what we need and kill anyone who gets in our way” Press X to doubt his sincerity.

It wasn't nearly as fun or amusing, everyone was a major downer, I constantly hung out around sharky and the medics place or went on expeditions since the pilot was fun but almost every other character got really serious and it sucked. The outposts were incredibly fun through
@Sen Vanmassenhove yeah I liked a lot of the gameplay but the characters and story really let me down. It most certainly should have been dlc, I don't think anyone can give me a reason it should have been a separate game except to get around the season pass they made
I didn’t “release” him at first. But after the cut scene I just sat there staring at him for about a minute to see what happened nothing happened so I just lit him on fire with the unicorn flame thrower. I kind of expected him to kill him self by jumping off the waterfall that was next to him.
I say that you shouldn't kill Joseph because of all the things he's done and all the lives he's taken, he needs to live with that for the rest of his life. His punishment is life.
Nicki52 The Father didn't deserve it all he wanted was to save his family and followers from the nuclear holocaust you judge him to hard he did what he thought he had to under the circumstances he knew the world was gonna end so he did what he deemed to be right and some of the things he did were wrong but everyone does the wrong thing sometimes also most of the bad things that the cult did to people were done by his siblings not him
Him letting his followers kill, enslave or brain wash others was unacceptable he could of saved all his followers without any of them dying trying to forcibly convert the rest of the county. If they'd died in the war it would of been their own fault for not listening, instead he chose the path of violence and got his followers and countless innocents killed in the process. He made his choices now he has to live with mistakes like we all do.
Nicki52 was the world about to end when you did it??? were the bombs about to drop and kill most of the worlds population??? I'm guessing not??? like I said circumstances mean everything
I'm not going to lie, Joseph had angered me in FC5, he mercilessly killed and harmed everyone in his path. But in New Dawn, to see him give in like that, I don't know, its not pathetic. Its not weak. Its just sad. Is his Atonement really to live with his choices? Or is it to finally stand before God, in the place his brothers and sister stood when we had brought them down?

Notice that when Joseph sent you to retrieve Ethan you grab a tree, in far cry primal, when you find jayma, you're standing near a tree. New dawn not only is more actionable than 5 but it also makes you realize pictures do keep a lot of memories..like im half way the game and everytime i collide a past picture of a place in hope country with the now in new dawn it just makes me want to cry for real
Joseph says that the only way to end this cycle of destruction and suffering is to release him, but if you kill him you're doing the same opposite, it's like FarCry 3 and definition of insanity, the only way out of this cycle is to give up your weapon
Uhh, if you let her live she leaves behind both a lore note detailing what she's going to do next after Lou's death [search for her mother] and also leaves behind her helmet to signify the departure from the Highwaymen.
@@matternativ you think? I think that is very similar in the portrait (don't know if you call it like that, I mean the image you see before you open the video)
I killed neither of them. I knew if Lou was gone, Mickey would have nothing to kill for. She realized her mistake, and had to turn around and find a new path. After that, I saw the exact same thing in Joseph, only he had begun to turn around after the bombs. If you speak to him after you bring him back to New Eden, he will speak of his time in the bunker with the Deputy. He mentions that he changed the Deputy, and the Deputy changed him. I new he was on the path of redemption, and as much as he wanted to die once New Eden was gone, and as much as he thought he sins were unforgivable, by my own personal beliefs- I knew he had to live.

7:23 damn that hit super hard. The father blames everything his son has done on himself.

Far cry 5: *kills hundreds of innocent pepole*
A lot of that was simply the violence getting out of the control. If you read Joseph's diary he says he realizes his siblings "fell into sin." If you listen closely in Far Cry 5, there are a lot of hints he was losing control of his people. He called John a "monster" and talked about your friends being "taken and tortured" like it was a bad thing.
Joseph didn't kill any of them.
The Father has seen it all, even heard words from God!
He killed his daughter just to prove a point about himself, then went full emo when his son croaked.
He also claimed to be against the violence of FC5, but personally told his followers “we will take what we need and kill anyone who gets in our way”
Press X to doubt his sincerity.
Zachary Comstock: First time?
I spared joseph and could hear him chant release me for miles
He was a lost soul that killed many while walking his path.He finally found the end of that path, only to understand that he was following the wrong trail all along. Heartbroken, after loosing so much,he asked for mercy.
He didn't receive it and had to find a new path, and to always remember the sins he had done while following the last one.

Agreed!
I loved it
It wasn't nearly as fun or amusing, everyone was a major downer, I constantly hung out around sharky and the medics place or went on expeditions since the pilot was fun but almost every other character got really serious and it sucked.
The outposts were incredibly fun through
@Sen Vanmassenhove yeah I liked a lot of the gameplay but the characters and story really let me down.

I say that you shouldn't kill Joseph because of all the things he's done and all the lives he's taken, he needs to live with that for the rest of his life. His punishment is life.
That means more death and suffering for other
He did not give a damn about life before New Dawn, why should i ( or anyone else ) show him mercy. Fuck Joeseph Seed and all his followers
Yea. Let him serve his punishment after everything he did. He said God wouldn't let us take him, so don't try.
In the end, the same tree as Joseph had taken the magic fruit from. ends up growing on the prosperity building roof.
I killed joseph after the cutscene ended. Imma savage
I killed The Father because I felt bad for him and leaving him alive just seemed worse than killing him
peace be with you Father bless your soul
Nicki52 The Father didn't deserve it
all he wanted was to save his family and followers from the nuclear holocaust
you judge him to hard he did what he thought he had to under the circumstances
he knew the world was gonna end so he did what he deemed to be right and some of the things he did were wrong but everyone does the wrong thing sometimes also most of the bad things that the cult did to people were done by his siblings not him
Him letting his followers kill, enslave or brain wash others was unacceptable he could of saved all his followers without any of them dying trying to forcibly convert the rest of the county. If they'd died in the war it would of been their own fault for not listening, instead he chose the path of violence and got his followers and countless innocents killed in the process. He made his choices now he has to live with mistakes like we all do.
John Seed I just killed my co-worker. I’m really sorry. It was a mistake. Can’t I avoid jail time? If I lived in USA I will get a death sentence.
Nicki52 was the world about to end when you did it??? were the bombs about to drop and kill most of the worlds population??? I'm guessing not???

@Z3us and his judge :)

Well...look at Pagan Min too.
Guy has killed many people, and caused many problems. Went insane after losing Ishwari and Lakshmana, bringing Kyrat with him.
But in the end, Pagan had family and cared about Ajay. Warned him of the Golden Path, and even passed the crown to Ajay. Didn't resent Ajay, didn't want to kill him.

@@Besayren so what ? A person cannot like someone just cause his cult killed people ? Joseph had his "vision" which came to reality "forced or not whatever" he proved he has some actual connections with higher beings, even in new dawn, the magic tree or the powers that the MC gets, Joseph said it himself at the end of Far cry 5 "don't judge and you won't be judged" people judged him as a Psycho as Normies tend to do, and he judged the deputy as a Merciless killer who killed countless people for what He believed was right to do "stopping the cult" john judged the deputy as a Wrathful guy who doesn't take any bothers at killing people for his goals and Faith herself or "burke" lowkey called the Deputy a Slave for doing other's ppl's bidding which is also true cause the resistance couldn't do Jack Shit till the Deputy arrived, this ain't about right or wrong, the state wanted to stop the cult cause they believed that what they were doing was Madness and the cult was doing it to prepare for the Collapse, no need to say who was actually doing something useful for their Own people, so for me Joseph was 100% Right and Forgiven for everything.
@@goldenjebboni1331 sorry but besides his brother, when you look at his followers what society you think they could build? Also so what if he have contact with a higher being? That being might be the devil, a jin or an alien ...etc not necessarily God or "good".

If you return to the spot where the twins were defeated, after letting her live, there will be a note there, saying that she's going north to find her mother.
"...There are so many times I thought we were going to fail. That all of this for nothing. But we just didn't give up. Because we had hope.... Cheers to hope... " ❤❤❤
mickey:dies in pain
lou:gettin comfy
you know you actually do see a note after the ending from the sister saying that she left and went to find her mother, sadly I couldn't find any note from Joseph though
Notice that when Joseph sent you to retrieve Ethan you grab a tree, in far cry primal, when you find jayma, you're standing near a tree. When there, jayma proceeds to shoot an arrow right next to you. Notice that arrow in the tree. Coincidence? (I think not) if you look forward, jayma ascends from below that hill from the forest. The background is the same
New dawn not only is more actionable than 5 but it also makes you realize pictures do keep a lot of memories..like im half way the game and everytime i collide a past picture of a place in hope country with the now in new dawn it just makes me want to cry for real
Somebody please "release" that man
Joseph says that the only way to end this cycle of destruction and suffering is to release him, but if you kill him you're doing the same opposite, it's like FarCry 3 and definition of insanity, the only way out of this cycle is to give up your weapon
Lagends has it Joseph seed is still shouting RELEASE ME!!! at that very location with a tree on fire

And to think an apple a day kept the doctor away
Its nice to see Joseph have emotions
