I got an engineer mate to draw up the bend I wanted and sent that to my local engineering shop for them to bend it on their CNC bender, then for the notches I used paper templates. I'm anything but an engineer but with this method I was able to build a set in a weekend. Not aware of any kits I could buy in New Zealand so this was the next best option.
Our fam really enjoys your vids big fella, no nonsense & aimed at getting it done practically & not crazy expensive. Super nice job on these it suits the vehicle incredibly yeww! 💪✌
Even though they are pre fabbed, they must be so satisfying to still weld them yourself. Great concept! If I didn't have a set already I'd do my own. Great vid mate
Looks so good. Great work. Yeah I’m with you, I like the angled in tight sliders too. I didn’t go kick outs, and yours came out perfect. Been loving the videos all the way from North Carolina. Keep up the great work. 🍻
Brilliant! Don't quite agree with only a couple of hours of welding practice for a beginner, but that's just my opinion. Seeing the PUMA V-11 Air Compressor in the background brought back some memories, I worked for the company that made them for nearly 10 years & chances are I built yours. Awesome GQ!
Funny I the video poped up for me to watch, I just bought a welder and was looking at buying a slider kit. I didn't know these guys were around and they are only up the road from me.
If it's not too late I recommend getting them sand blasted before painting. With that much welding and tight angles you won't be able to do a proper surface preparation. I would hate to see all that lovely work rust out in 6 months. Cool job, I prefer the slider/step in one but hey this is your ute. I don't do hard core driving and my wife is really short.
Being of age and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. The market is never a loser in the twenty year cycle, but the 2000s decade scenario scares me and could really disrupt my retirement. When you're no longer accumulating but withdrawing, it's hard to be anything but cautious.

They look mean bro! Good choice with the V on the kicker section... stoked u went with the weld ya own setup too. This was a great episode bro... shot for sharing... chur!
That's pretty amazing. Checked out the web site. A little disappointed they don't do bull bars and rear bars. Bull bars I get - regulations, but rear bars, with swing out wheel carriers aren't mentioned. Maybe these are coming?
He’s a small business at the moment but is ramping up his work big time, investing in some pretty serious gear! I wouldn’t be surprised if more kits become available soon!
Hey mate that looks awesome 👏 if I say so myself great work. Question where can I get one for a 76 series LC mate. Apologies, I know you got a Nissan mate..🤙🏽
Great work. I looked into doing the same but freight to Tassie was 260 bucks making the DIY option more spendy than the ready made units....which I'll mod if needed. Anyhow..well done....again!
bro, i custom make bars, sliders and trays, im in Hobart Tasmania, i fit for no extra cost, just pay for what ya want done and a additional $80 for time
they defiantly look great and all but they stick out a lot and they'd look a fair bit cooler with some side rails. the side rails would make coal look beefy and tuff
Tbh I had mine out and the way the supports needed to be cut was on a 2 axis angle haha so I had to put it in the vice on the angle and then cut a side angle if that makes sense haha!!
Misleading title. You can’t call something DIY when your parts are precut for assembly. DIY means from scratch. Something you build from cutting, grinding etc…
Yeah I totally get you mate! You can nab a second hand welder for $250 and learn on some scrap before you tried this!! It’s honestly 80 percent settings and 20 percent skill haha 😆
@Roam Lyfe mate, I wanted to do manual arts in High School so I could learn AutoCAD. One of the teachers, a neighbour, BEGGED my parents to make reconsider. I did physics, instead. (Which lead to a love of electronic, computer programming, and, now, robotics.)
Honestly, I think I'm stuck spending money on a Raslarrrrrrrrrr set and brush bars with them. I want the trucks nickname, Brutus, cut into the plate, anyway, like my seat covers have got. Then I'll get in touch with me new mate who's got his own RUclips channel to give me a hand installing them..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Could name the video many things but I do try and think of ways to make people click the video!! After all I spend a lot of time creating this content I want people to watch it 🤘! I do try keep everyone happy 😅

Glad you went with the 'V' on the back. Was hoping you were going to do it on the front too. Changing up on the fly 👌 Niice!
Dude I love the V hey, looks mint in my opinion!!

It’s amazing setting them the way you want! Adds a little custom flare without the expensive equipment!
Looks killa mate!! Great video explaining too. Most videos just breeze over the smaller details and makes it confusing for a beginner. Legend!

Some investors look to their investments as a source of income while others use it as a means to grow or preserve their wealth.
For now, investors getting started can feel overwhelming. Risk loom large and complicated, unfamiliar financial jargons can be intimidating.

DIY is very expensive, I got a quote found a young guy on the gold coast who made me a mint set for less then the DIY kit costs.
Yeeeeah buddy!

G'day! Looking minto! You don't want to send me the leftovers for my GQ by any chance haha 😂😂😂
He only sent me one side so it’s only one slider haha not even actually
@@RoamLyfe dang, seems like a popular and decent kit! Might be the way to go for my wagon, side steps don't hold up to the abuse..
Mint 👍🏼👌
Thanks legend!!

I got it online at Sydney tools!! Unimig 182
Don’t wanna waste his time just yet but is there a ball park price? Between lile pretty much cheapest to more expensive?
