It's great seeing you do the extra effort on little things. Most people wouldn't think to weatherproof the small holes they drill, but that's where corrosion starts!
Lol what? Come on! Waste of time and resources. The work itself is great but the result is quite strange from practical perspective. This build is useless
@Fedkar what?! This thing is bad a$$ man. Granted I would hand done a few things different but I'm impressed. People pay 10-15 for a similar set up from a company that builds them. And that's bare bones. They get up to 40k and that military trailer is hasn't duty to the max.
I just can't believe you got all of this done in 15 minutes 😂Amazing job and such an awesome source of info for those of us about to embark on a similar thing. Well done sir. What an epic undertaking but what an epic result at the end.
@@farmerrooster 😂 Honestly the amount of work he got done in 6 months still seems like 15 minutes to me. My project will take 2 years I reckon for the same result!
Very nice and a lot of work! I’ve been working on mine for about a year and I just keep coming up with new ideas. That is the worst part, it never done! 👍
We followed you when you began this build...... months ago. It amazed me the discipline you maintained to forge on. To see this video of a `minute fragment, of the skill you needed to apply for your build is truly fantastic. Well done mate. Inspirational to us hesitant dreamers that 'wanna'/'gunna' attempt such a project , real courage to have a crack. Plan and execute the plan. You've shown how. Brilliant Mate Brilliant.👍
I was just thinking when you’d do an update on the trailer. I probably watched each video in the series around 3 times, some of them 4 or 5 times for some help and inspiration for my trailer. Honestly was such a help and because of that, I now have watched all of your videos and love them! Maybe get a video on your usage of the trailer next time you’re out using it? Advantages and disadvantages and what you’d change or add after some uses? Keep it up fella 🫡
This build is awesome! But what I like the most is that you know what you’re doing. As an aircraft mechanic and sheet metal guy I like seeing all the corrosion preventative measures and instead of butt splicing all your wiring you know how to solder! Excellent work! Cheers from Tennessee, USA!
Definitely what I’m Need of because you’ve really got to carry a lot of supplies even just for a few days like wood and kindling and fire lighters and wind breaks chairs tables blankets are bulky and food water and clothes and maybe pet supplies too
Amazing build! Thank you for documenting it. For someone starting out, it's quite daunting when you start to think about all the items you want vs need vs whats practical, especially when you don't have endless cash to burn. A genuine master class. Thanks again.
What a great build, super tough looking trailer. Looks like it has everything you'd need tucked away somewhere. Seeing this build, it is no surprise these trailers go for 25-30K at the shows...cheers
That build is so bad ass!!! I cant believe the patience you have. Your dog is hilarious like, Dad, when will you be done so we can we go out and play ball?!?! Nicely done, I have my 5x8 utility trailer build in progress as a kayak/camping gear hauler, someday something like this is my goal. Thank you for sharing! : )
It looks very cool. Lots of work there. However, from an analytical perspective, it almost seems as if a hauling trailer was taken apart, chopped smaller, then rebuilt then expanded, only to turn it into a hauling trailer. The amount of stuff and function in that rig is impressive. And going vertical was smart.
I do a lot of fab. work myself. I love building projects. That is one hell of a great job. I've wanted to build a camper for a while now. I hope mine is as nice as that one!
This is awesome and has given me the idea that this is a better solution for me too. Also as a fellow boxer owner, your dog having a good gander resonates with me
Wow, that's professional and very impressive. I'll be looking through your channel for more detailed videos on the specific parts of this build, such as electrical, shower, hitch and many more parts. Thanks.
Awesome build and to a great plan. I hope the rough outback tracks don’t put too much stress on the spare wheel bracket. A mate of mine has his rigged like that and the bracket broke away on the Oodnadatta..
Sweet. You were smart to solder all those wires since crimped connections invariably fail at the worst time. My goal is to build a composite square- or tear-drop about the same size as that for occasional overnighting while on the road.
Id pay you to build a trailer just like this lol. This is unreal. It’s got everything you need but doesn’t compromise on weight and size. Can’t stand the look of some of these modern trailer, love the look of this. Just has everything you need. Well done mate 👍
Great vid! I'm up-grading a Wells Cargo enclosed trailer. I've got it nearly done, but I stole one of your ideas: the pressurized water system. Ingenious!!! Thanks for the class, learned a bunch! We'll be following you from here on in.
Great job well build wish i had one of them trailers. I can well see it lasting your years out on the trails only small think I would change is to have a small lip that comes down from the hard top to give a extra I
You done a great job on the trailer and I look forward to seeing some camping with it. Hope all is going well with the auto and engine exchange. Marry Christmas and look forward to seeing more in the new year
Awesome job.!!! That's money right there.! You could sell those. You should do a follow up vid on the electrical/mechanical components used, i bet ya get alot of questions bout that.
You are producing some of the best DIY that is ideal for what the average Aussie could accomplish in their back yard shed, now if I could only get my shed back from the missus I might have a chance to start my own project 😂 great video 👍🏻
I built a no5 camper as well, it was my first time doing a project like that so it doesn't look anywhere near as neat as yours but it did a lap of Australia no problem, including the tele tracks in cape york and WA. one thing, anything you put under the trailer like hoses taps wires etc will get wrecked by tocks and mud unless you put mud flaps in front of the trailer to stop the stuff spat out by your 4wd. These things are tougher than anything you can buy these days that cost 50x more.
Really well done mate, can you run me through your thought process regarding the 3x jerry water tanks rather than just one big tank? Because you cant remove the jerrys once its plumbed in right?
Nice job. I'm thinking of buying a camper trailer, but the weight on some of them is getting pretty ridiculous. I'm impressed with how much you kept the weight down on yours. My welding skills are so basic that I don't think I could tackle something like this, but it's fascinating watching someone else accomplish it. :)
Why not a grid, fixed or removable, or something similar between the tent part and the lifting part to help carry more necessary items like extra food/water or other utensils?
Very cool build. I would have thought about adding a couple of mobile solar panels to charge the battery while the trailer isn't hooked up to the truck. Other than that, very nice.
It’s beautiful! While all my mates are out partying Ive been looking at trailers and camp gear for my Ute trying my best to save atm but still need a garage full of tools 😢😅
can u power the axle? with all the advancements with electric cars i think we should be able to power the trailer so it doesnt drag so hard on the trail.
It's great seeing you do the extra effort on little things. Most people wouldn't think to weatherproof the small holes they drill, but that's where corrosion starts!
Everyone thinks of that.
@@tomskimcdouglegaming806 not really. Do you watch youtube?
That is one of the best things I’ve ever seen built on RUclips. Excellent work!

This is awesome! I love how compact it looks, and to be basically a whole camper thats only 1500lbs is incredible!

Great build. You know wiring is good after the dog inspects it and is satisfied.
That's a badass trailer. Truly an off road, go anywhere rig. You have some serious skills.

The total "WOW" effect, one bad ass build...
Thanks for sharing.
Great job of designing, fabricating, and building your trailer. I am impressed.

Very good idea to cut and weld on the new wheels... bravo
One heck of a makeover, I think it's up there with the ones from the manufacturers. We'll done ☆☆☆☆☆ .
Your welding and cutting talents plus sodering show a Awsome rv
Great gear and an impressive build. Well done! 👍👍

It reminded me of grandpa's axe. Two new axe heads, 3 new handles over the decades, but they still call it grandpa's.
that was one of the best vids I have seen. Reminds me of when I was a kid building horse drawn vehicles with my father. You are an inspiration.
Great fabricating and terrific editing! Thanks for sharing!
WOW WOW WOW , congrats for the work, its was really nice to watch it, i am litle envy . Hello form Bulgaria
Great work mate. Happy camping! Recycling at it’s best. If it was good enough for our forces, it was probably built local.

Awesome build and to a great plan. I hope the rough outback tracks don’t put too much stress on the spare wheel bracket. A mate of mine has his rigged like that and the bracket broke away on the Oodnadatta..
Add a few gussets or diagonal braces, for increased confidence.
I don’t comment often but that thing is awesome! Very talented sir. Nice work.
One word....MAGNIFICENT.
Sweet. You were smart to solder all those wires since crimped connections invariably fail at the worst time. My goal is to build a composite square- or tear-drop about the same size as that for occasional overnighting while on the road.
I like how you gave up on welding and glued the body and panels on.
All that hard work, paid off

I'm in love about your trailer but dude! Your boxer!! I absolutly love em (my 4th). nice job, nice vid ;)

Job well done. I take my hat off to you. 🙌🏻

Nice! I could also see building something like this as a job tool trailer. Would be super handy.
Wow! I need one.
Im looking at the tiny camper co trail box. Similar with tent for 5500$ plus shipping.
That’s not to bad!!
What an awesome build bud. Like it alot.
Cool and on ad on are available like wood storage and Jerry can ad ons obit here’s a secret but if space underneath beside water tanks hopefully
love the pintel hitch.
What a great result love it

I reckon the 4wd will breakdown before the trailer, awesome bloody build mate.Thank's for some new tip's and idea's also
Absolutely superb !!!!!
That's class,I would love something like that.
Nice job. I'm thinking of buying a camper trailer, but the weight on some of them is getting pretty ridiculous. I'm impressed with how much you kept the weight down on yours. Practice makes perfect. A project like this will quickly improve your welding skills. Go for it.
Clever build. Love it mate.
This is a sweet looking build! What are some pros and cons of this compared to a truck with a camper?
Professional build, Professional cinematography…….
Great video, brotha. Awesome build. I really picked up a lot of great ideas.👍🏼
Great job, a hell of build. You thought about everything a person would want or need in a camper trailer.
Amaing!!!! What was the sealant you used on the jerry can please ?
Nice work mate, you've given me some ideas for my camper trailer build. Thanks
Really nice work!! Looks like a great camping setup!
Hands growing from the right place... 👍
Great job.. maybe adding a solarpanel?
It’s just friggin cool!
awesome!! such an impressive transformation!
Holy hell thats awesome.
Why not a grid, fixed or removable, or something similar between the tent part and the lifting part to help carry more necessary items like extra food/water or other utensils?
Seriously great work!
Great job! But I get the feeling you probably would have had an easier time if you had just stared from scratch lol.
Crazy skills. Looks awesome
not me now going to gumtree searching for a trailer to start my own build lol look great mate
Beautiful piece of art, hat off….
Very cool build. I would have thought about adding a couple of mobile solar panels to charge the battery while the trailer isn't hooked up to the truck. Other than that, very nice.
Very nice build and craftsmanship. I like it!
Now that’s Awesome 🤘😎
Great offroad build!!
It’s beautiful! While all my mates are out partying Ive been looking at trailers and camp gear for my Ute trying my best to save atm but still need a garage full of tools 😢😅
Very nice build! Good for you! Hope you enjoy the trailer for years to come!
Excellent build!
Crazy you got this done in 15 minutes
can u power the axle? with all the advancements with electric cars i think we should be able to power the trailer so it doesnt drag so hard on the trail.
Kick ass job!
which model military trailer did you use? This is a really nice overland trailer!
