While Minecraft can be spiced up with the use of mods, Terraria can be taken above and beyond the original game with mods like Calamity and Thorium that add so many new items, enemies, bosses, and biomes.

I feel like a lot of the minecraft community likes to say that Monjang are "lazy" because that are a much larger company and the players expect updates and patches fast. Don't get me wrong I am currently learning about game development and its a lot harder than just slap a piece of code into a software and stuff like that. This is just me saying that game development can be a long process no matter how big or small the project is and how big the team of people are behind it if your planning on making or updating a game that has tens of millions of people playing, it can be hard for the devs to try and get everything perfect for such updates and stuff like that.

I remember being baised towards minecraft because it was the only game i truly enjoyed. But i remember my cousin downloading terraria for me and i said "isnt that 2d minecraft without diamonds?" The first time i played it, it truly felt like a challenge. I was frustrated but slowly fell in love with it.I realized my mistake for calling it 2d minecraft. Now its my favorite game of all time and you cannot change my mind.
Both are masterpieces. Terraria has, in my oppinion, perfect progression, you dont feel bored at any time during the game. While minecraft has that near infinite replayability that keeps the game relevant forever
as well as the online playability of minecraft in a way that if you do get bored you can log on to a server with hundreds of thousands of people and just start gaming
i think the replayability for me holds minecraft back. Not taking mods into the conversation, minecraft has barely anything to do with no real goal in mind other than kill 1 boss
Don’t forget the devs. Relogic has a forum for terraria where we can interact with the devs. they also implement a shit ton of stuff each update. where as minecraft makes us choose between 3 useless mobs that only serve one purpose. Terraria devs make more in one day than what mojang makes in months.
The biggest difference (for me) between Minecraft and Terraria is the team working on it and the community's trust level in them. Minecraft's community has been burned so badly so many times by Mojang & Microsoft that they tend to assume the worst at all times - when an update is late, there is no reason given by Mojang. When features like fireflies are scrapped, they're done so silently and are only addressed when the community outrage can't be ignored anymore. We get polished, sanitized announcements, snapshots, and events designed for publicity and damage control -- and as a cheap and shallow way to distract us from the fact that we have no idea what's going on behind the scenes and **absolutely no say in it.** Mojang produces great quality content, don't get me wrong -- but they have no credibility anymore. We asked for a cave update - one with better mineshafts, biomes, dungeons and an updated stronghold. Instead, they spent thousands of dollars and *years* redoing their entire world generation, ancient cities and wardens that nobody wanted, and they cheated us on everything we actually requested for the update. It took them three years and the caves are still shallow and outdated - whether they got a fresh coat of paint or not. And might I add, they made world generation worse. The new generation is steep, it's uneven and it's annoying as hell to try and travel on. Horses are pretty much obsolete post-C&C because of how steep the cliffs are. They gave us two new minerals that are completely cosmetic, two new biomes with no new content, and they spent YEARS on the ancient cities, the warden & deep dark biomes -- all of which NO ONE asked for. All that to say, in my eyes caves and cliffs was a failure -- it didn't do the bare minimum of what the community had been begging them to do for the better part of a decade. I was apart of the minecraft fandom when the nether update came out and people very loudly made very specific demands of mojang -- they showed us just enough that year at minecraft live to shut us up and continued doing the bare minimum to modernize their game's 10 year old mechanics. Copper was a failure. It should've replaced iron in almost any redstone recipe that uses it. They could've given us new redstone/copper components. They could've given us vertical wiring. It was such an obvious move and I don't get why it was added if there wasn't any gameplay. I could continue going further with this subject, but I'll cut myself off and instead move onto the fandom's relationship with ReLogic. The developers at ReLogic are extremely involved, intuitive, creative and, most importantly IMO, brutally honest. They respect us enough to tell us upfront if something isn't happening, and they tell us exactly why, whether we want to hear it or not. They reply on twitter, they engage on a personal level with their content creators and their players and they routinely show us the real process of making terraria. For example, they told us directly when working on 1.4.5 that there would be no new bosses because they didn't have time. The thing is, if your request is reasonable, and you can get someone on the team to see it, chances are they'll do it or they'll think about it. And even if they say no, they'll let you know nicely and again, chances are there's a reason . And even if your dream feature isn't making it into the game, you can still count on the developers to release things that you like and things you'll enjoy. The labor of love update brought things to the game that we didn't even know we wanted, like the shimmer. And even so, we had a huge part to play in making it happen. I still remember how it all started -- Redigit sending out a tweet wondering what we thought they should do with the extra liquid slot they had in the code that wasn't utilized. And using the fans' feedback and having conversations with them, it snowballed into what is now the aether -- a feature that I can't live without now, as someone who always crafts the cellphone and the ankh shield. In my opinion, terraria's failures are few and far between. When I think of things Mojang has added to the game or changed that I genuinely disliked, I can name a bunch off the top of my head and start ranting. With terraria, I can really only think of a few major failures / additions that I disliked -- and literally all three have been addressed. Those three being the Old Ones Army, Master Mode, and the "Can be placed in vanity slots" issue. Old Ones Army I think most people hated -- but, over the years, it's grown on me a lot. Now that ai understand how to defeat it (cheese it) and now that i've given it a fair shot, it's no longer a problem for me. And for Master Mode, I think this is perhaps the biggest development failure from ReLogic -- especially because the bar was so high after expert mode came out. The lack of new boss attacks/unique behavior really disappointed me. But, like I said, this has been addressed more than once with the FTW and getfixedboi seeds for those who yearn for a challenge past expert mode. I now exclusively play on master mode. And finally, them making only some accessories vanity items. A feature I hated that they went back and fully removed in labor of love lmao - so, yea. Relogic ftw. I love those people, I love their practices and they're a company I feel good supporting - I buy their merch, I own some hoodies, and I've bought probably 20 copies of the game over the years for friends. Here's to another 2000 hours on this game, hopefully. :)
over time you find ways to speedrun it. theres also so many mods that speed it up. its a big issue of the game but ill take that over minecraft's falloff of content once you kill the dragon and do the other few bosses/events. its one big goal, then all cosmetics.@@trulybarr5341

They should really implement being able to block world evil in any difficult though, trenches makes the world ugly af, also in a 100h playthrpugh I have at least 30 was building trenches and using clentaminator.
You want a toggle to control evil biome spreading? Well lucky you because such a toggle already exists. You just need to create your character and world as Journey Mode, which unlocks various abilities, one of which is just to toggle on and off evil biome spreading. In general, Minecraft is the better sandbox, but Terraria is likely better overall.

@@MTH6969it’s honestly so easy to stop… crimson, just use sunflowers… corruption, well in pre-hardmode only grass blocks can become world evil so use wooden blocks to stop spread Before entering hardmode get the miner gear set, mining potions, and the chisel from the underground desert and dig around the initial world evil making a wide enough box to stop spread… It’s such a non-issue until the hollow and world evil V appears but by that point in the game players should be able to contain it in time anyways
they just can't be compared, they're totally different in what they try to accomplish, its like comparing picasso and davinci, you can't say who is better, they do completely different things, technically within the same field. terreria focuses on the combat new items, armor, swords, guns, wings etc, minecraft relies more on a basic set of tools which allow you to find your focus in the game, neither do better, just different.

The 2 games have very different focuses so it's not easy to compare on the gameplay factors alone I can say that _overall_ Minecraft has gotten a lot worse (while I think there have been good ideas mixed into recent Minecraft updates, it's dragged down by plenty of _nothing_ updates, a dev team that's unresponsive to its community and almost feels downright malicious at times, and probably plenty of other things I can't immediately think of), but in terms of gameplay merits/aspects both win out in some way over the other, and that's where this debate loses its value

I have thousands of hours on hypixel alone and only around 900 on terraria. I'm not saying minecraft is better, because you really can't compare the 2 with how different they are. @aimbotxd7992 the bigger mods for terraria are astonishingly polished, like the calamity mod is so good to play. If you haven't played it yet, you definitely should. With terraria players hating minecraft, we don't hate it, we just prefer terraria a lot more and we tend to make fun of how mojang adds like 5 blocks a year at this point and how people call terraria 2d minecraft when it has far more content than minecraft

A lot of terraria players I meet usually say stuff like "minecraft sucks" if it's ever brought up and it gets kinda annoying because minecraft doesn't suck as long as you don't play vanilla completely alone. Continuing talking about mods, calamity and stuff does add a shit ton of new bosses/weapons/items but I wouldn't say that automatically makes it better. Kinda late to this, but just want to say that Terraria’s Journey mode allows for way more freedom. It allows for disabling the evil biome’s spread and lets You use an unlimited amount of items if you’ve researched enough of them beforehand. You also get to increase your block placement and even enter god mode if you want to. Also regarding Terraria’s lore, it’s intentionally left vague in the game, but there are a few documents online floating around from what I believe are the devs. The game’s lore is based heavily on the Cthulhu mythos. Moon lord (Cthulhu) descends onto the world. The dryad clan or something sacrifice many of their own in a battle, where they manage to seal away the moon lord. They also cut him up and spread his body around. The eye, brain, eater (which is his bowls). Someone tried to try and replicate them and make the mechanical bosses (I don’t recall the exact history but this seems plausible). The evil biomes are like otherworldly blights to the world from these celestial events. The world of terraria is living, and in a way there is a sort of multiverse. The lunatic cultists are sworn followers of moon lord who (most likely like Cthulhu in the mythos even while sealed away) could reach out to them in their dreams. Killing them unlocks the pillars which are beings from outer space and other realms and such. The guide comes from the order of the guides, and I guess work with the dryad’s to keep the “ancient spirits of light and dark” sealed. He also functions as a literal and physical wall to overcome.

I barely care about the answer. I like both of the games equally. Sometimes I play terraria, but get bored so I start playing minecraft. Then I get bored of minecraft, so I play terraria. Obviously there are other games that I play like teamfortress 2, GTA 5 (mostly online), unturned and a bunch of fnaf fan games. Minecraft was the main part of my childhood, but as soon as I found terraria, I fell in love with it.
Honestly, if you don’t like building, redstone, mods, or overall immersion then play terraria instead because it has a deeper progression, more items, more challenges, more bosses, more reasons to explore.
I agree with the freedom but not by the same means. Sure, corruption spreading is a problem, but you saying "without the drill containment unit it does little to nothing" is just straight up wrong, i cleaned my corruption with a titanium pickaxe, you just have to have patience. But still, you can enter your Minecraft world and do the same stuff a player who's playing for long can, no limitations. Thought, terraria has lots of boss barriers such as wall of flesh for hardmode stuff, plantera for ectoplasm etc etc... And some blocks require some annoying ass grinding such as meat/lesion blocks (farming corrupted creatures for a meat grinder), rainbow bricks (only dropped by rainbow slimes) makes a bit tiring to get some stuff.
"No one plays it anymore" Meanwhile here in reality it's been getting a boost in players since 1.4 dropped. Both new and those who gave up on it quickly. 😂

it really depends on who you are if you like terraria or mc more, if you just want some simple, calm game then mc is more appealing but in literally any other case, if you want fun terraria is better, especially the gameplay, which mc cant even compare to terraria with, especially if you include mods, also for some reason i just never really had many problems with evil biome spreading, even though i have over 2k hours on the game and dont play journey mode

I rather play in a 3d world than a 2d one. I also enjoy actual buildings instead of whatever that other game has. It just looks like a crap. The great thing about minecraft is that when you explore you discover different things as you go around each obstacle while in terraria everything is seen so that's basically the end of the exploring
When it comes to Lore of Games u forgot something! The Lore is scathered around trough NPCs! They have dialouges on what is happening in game as well as in the past before we arrived! for example Guide can tell u he is from a long living family of Guides who passes the knowladge onto each other for decades!!!
Don't get me wrong but in terms of plot Minecraft wins, and I get why alot of people don't see and yes he had some points about Minecraft story being whatever the players want, he forgot about the LORE !! of Minecraft. Minecraft story focuses more on the past, before the player was spawned in, and it shows does stories through structures and artifacts, kinda like archeologist finding what happened in the past and that's the reason why Minecraft doesn't add alot of crazy things to it's game because adding new things to a story can reckon the story or make it, too complicated. Because if Minecraft didn't have a story, they could have added a lot of random things to the game that players want, for example a new dimension and boss, if Minecraft didn't really have a story, they could easily do it, because they have before in April fools update, but adding it to a game that has a story would be much more difficult, and if you really think about it, most of the mobs in Minecraft have a story, the illagers, villagers, warden, allay, vex even the sniffer has a story to tell. In face value Minecraft may just seem to be a sandbox game but if you dig a little bit deeper you find that's a completely different game. So that's why I give plot and story telling to Minecraft.
I grew up with minecraft, but without mods it vecomes boring pretty fast. Terraria allows nore variation for me. I can choose which biome or boss to tackle first, which weapons, armor and accessories I will prioritize abd so on. One day I'm going full tank true melee for fun, the other chuggibg mana down as a mage, having many minions as summoner or raining arrows and bullets as ranger. Or combining classes, trying new things. Using terrain aa advantage. So many possibilities.
don't get me wrong both games are good, but Terraria is FAR superior to Minecraft in pretty much every way possible and it's not even close. The amount of content and things to do in vanilla Terraria alone makes even Minecraft with mods feel extremely stale and barren of content. After having played Terraria, Minecraft gets boring very fast. Terraria has less mods than Minecraft, but Terraria mods are huge. Calamity is a standalone mod that feels like a Minecraft mod pack it's so enormous. Plus, it heavily emphasizes quality over quantity. Also, terraria devs don't show their community three relatively boring and useless mobs make their fanbase fight to the death over which mob gets added and then attacks their fanbase for wanting Mojang to add the mobs they already showed off by condescendingly stating game development is hard.

I mean saying that a survival game has no Story/Lory is just straight up stupid, like as you can tell minecraft and Terraria has poor lore, but another survival game which is Don't Starve Together has so good/rich lore, Developers with every update give us a video, where you can find a lot of hidden informations. I don't know if anyone makes videos in english about this but there is a polish youtuber who makes it, and well i watched like 5 times already, and won't stop watching that in future.

I remember being baised towards minecraft because it was the only game i truly enjoyed. But i remember my cousin downloading terraria for me and i said "isnt that 2d minecraft without diamonds?" The first time i played it, it truly felt like a challenge. I was frustrated but slowly fell in love with it.I realized my mistake for calling it 2d minecraft. Now its my favorite game of all time and you cannot change my mind.

Both are masterpieces. Terraria has, in my oppinion, perfect progression, you dont feel bored at any time during the game. While minecraft has that near infinite replayability that keeps the game relevant forever
as well as the online playability of minecraft in a way that if you do get bored you can log on to a server with hundreds of thousands of people and just start gaming

Don’t forget the devs. Relogic has a forum for terraria where we can interact with the devs. they also implement a shit ton of stuff each update. where as minecraft makes us choose between 3 useless mobs that only serve one purpose. Terraria devs make more in one day than what mojang makes in months.
The biggest difference (for me) between Minecraft and Terraria is the team working on it and the community's trust level in them.
Minecraft's community has been burned so badly so many times by Mojang & Microsoft that they tend to assume the worst at all times - when an update is late, there is no reason given by Mojang. When features like fireflies are scrapped, they're done so silently and are only addressed when the community outrage can't be ignored anymore. We get polished, sanitized announcements, snapshots, and events designed for publicity and damage control -- and as a cheap and shallow way to distract us from the fact that we have no idea what's going on behind the scenes and **absolutely no say in it.**
Mojang produces great quality content, don't get me wrong -- but they have no credibility anymore. We asked for a cave update - one with better mineshafts, biomes, dungeons and an updated stronghold. Instead, they spent thousands of dollars and *years* redoing their entire world generation, ancient cities and wardens that nobody wanted, and they cheated us on everything we actually requested for the update. It took them three years and the caves are still shallow and outdated - whether they got a fresh coat of paint or not. And might I add, they made world generation worse. The new generation is steep, it's uneven and it's annoying as hell to try and travel on. Horses are pretty much obsolete post-C&C because of how steep the cliffs are.
They gave us two new minerals that are completely cosmetic, two new biomes with no new content, and they spent YEARS on the ancient cities, the warden & deep dark biomes -- all of which NO ONE asked for. All that to say, in my eyes caves and cliffs was a failure -- it didn't do the bare minimum of what the community had been begging them to do for the better part of a decade. I was apart of the minecraft fandom when the nether update came out and people very loudly made very specific demands of mojang -- they showed us just enough that year at minecraft live to shut us up and continued doing the bare minimum to modernize their game's 10 year old mechanics. Copper was a failure. It should've replaced iron in almost any redstone recipe that uses it. They could've given us new redstone/copper components. They could've given us vertical wiring. It was such an obvious move and I don't get why it was added if there wasn't any gameplay.
I could continue going further with this subject, but I'll cut myself off and instead move onto the fandom's relationship with ReLogic.
The developers at ReLogic are extremely involved, intuitive, creative and, most importantly IMO, brutally honest. They respect us enough to tell us upfront if something isn't happening, and they tell us exactly why, whether we want to hear it or not. They reply on twitter, they engage on a personal level with their content creators and their players and they routinely show us the real process of making terraria. For example, they told us directly when working on 1.4.5 that there would be no new bosses because they didn't have time. The thing is, if your request is reasonable, and you can get someone on the team to see it, chances are they'll do it or they'll think about it. And even if they say no, they'll let you know nicely and again, chances are there's a reason .
And even if your dream feature isn't making it into the game, you can still count on the developers to release things that you like and things you'll enjoy. The labor of love update brought things to the game that we didn't even know we wanted, like the shimmer. And even so, we had a huge part to play in making it happen. I still remember how it all started -- Redigit sending out a tweet wondering what we thought they should do with the extra liquid slot they had in the code that wasn't utilized. And using the fans' feedback and having conversations with them, it snowballed into what is now the aether -- a feature that I can't live without now, as someone who always crafts the cellphone and the ankh shield.
In my opinion, terraria's failures are few and far between. When I think of things Mojang has added to the game or changed that I genuinely disliked, I can name a bunch off the top of my head and start ranting. With terraria, I can really only think of a few major failures / additions that I disliked -- and literally all three have been addressed. Those three being the Old Ones Army, Master Mode, and the "Can be placed in vanity slots" issue. Old Ones Army I think most people hated -- but, over the years, it's grown on me a lot. Now that ai understand how to defeat it (cheese it) and now that i've given it a fair shot, it's no longer a problem for me. And for Master Mode, I think this is perhaps the biggest development failure from ReLogic -- especially because the bar was so high after expert mode came out. The lack of new boss attacks/unique behavior really disappointed me. But, like I said, this has been addressed more than once with the FTW and getfixedboi seeds for those who yearn for a challenge past expert mode. I now exclusively play on master mode. And finally, them making only some accessories vanity items. A feature I hated that they went back and fully removed in labor of love lmao - so, yea. Relogic ftw. I love those people, I love their practices and they're a company I feel good supporting - I buy their merch, I own some hoodies, and I've bought probably 20 copies of the game over the years for friends. Here's to another 2000 hours on this game, hopefully. :)

You want a toggle to control evil biome spreading? Well lucky you because such a toggle already exists. You just need to create your character and world as Journey Mode, which unlocks various abilities, one of which is just to toggle on and off evil biome spreading.

terreria focuses on the combat new items, armor, swords, guns, wings etc, minecraft relies more on a basic set of tools which allow you to find your focus in the game, neither do better, just different.

@aimbotxd7992 the bigger mods for terraria are astonishingly polished, like the calamity mod is so good to play. If you haven't played it yet, you definitely should. With terraria players hating minecraft, we don't hate it, we just prefer terraria a lot more and we tend to make fun of how mojang adds like 5 blocks a year at this point and how people call terraria 2d minecraft when it has far more content than minecraft

A lot of terraria players I meet usually say stuff like "minecraft sucks" if it's ever brought up and it gets kinda annoying because minecraft doesn't suck as long as you don't play vanilla completely alone. Continuing talking about mods, calamity and stuff does add a shit ton of new bosses/weapons/items but I wouldn't say that automatically makes it better. Kinda late to this, but just want to say that Terraria’s Journey mode allows for way more freedom. It allows for disabling the evil biome’s spread and lets You use an unlimited amount of items if you’ve researched enough of them beforehand. You also get to increase your block placement and even enter god mode if you want to. Also regarding Terraria’s lore, it’s intentionally left vague in the game, but there are a few documents online floating around from what I believe are the devs. The game’s lore is based heavily on the Cthulhu mythos. Moon lord (Cthulhu) descends onto the world. The dryad clan or something sacrifice many of their own in a battle, where they manage to seal away the moon lord. They also cut him up and spread his body around. The eye, brain, eater (which is his bowls). Someone tried to try and replicate them and make the mechanical bosses (I don’t recall the exact history but this seems plausible). The evil biomes are like otherworldly blights to the world from these celestial events. The world of terraria is living, and in a way there is a sort of multiverse. The lunatic cultists are sworn followers of moon lord who (most likely like Cthulhu in the mythos even while sealed away) could reach out to them in their dreams. Killing them unlocks the pillars which are beings from outer space and other realms and such. The guide comes from the order of the guides, and I guess work with the dryad’s to keep the “ancient spirits of light and dark” sealed. He also functions as a literal and physical wall to overcome.

I barely care about the answer. I like both of the games equally. Sometimes I play terraria, but get bored so I start playing minecraft. Then I get bored of minecraft, so I play terraria. Obviously there are other games that I play like teamfortress 2, GTA 5 (mostly online), unturned and a bunch of fnaf fan games.
Minecraft was the main part of my childhood, but as soon as I found terraria, I fell in love with it.
Honestly, if you don’t like building, redstone, mods, or overall immersion then play terraria instead because it has a deeper progression, more items, more challenges, more bosses, more reasons to explore.

Sure, corruption spreading is a problem, but you saying "without the drill containment unit it does little to nothing" is just straight up wrong, i cleaned my corruption with a titanium pickaxe, you just have to have patience.
But still, you can enter your Minecraft world and do the same stuff a player who's playing for long can, no limitations.
Thought, terraria has lots of boss barriers such as wall of flesh for hardmode stuff, plantera for ectoplasm etc etc...
And some blocks require some annoying ass grinding such as meat/lesion blocks (farming corrupted creatures for a meat grinder), rainbow bricks (only dropped by rainbow slimes) makes a bit tiring to get some stuff.

Don't get me wrong but in terms of plot Minecraft wins, and I get why alot of people don't see and yes he had some points about Minecraft story being whatever the players want, he forgot about the LORE !! of Minecraft. Minecraft story focuses more on the past, before the player was spawned in, and it shows does stories through structures and artifacts, kinda like archeologist finding what happened in the past and that's the reason why Minecraft doesn't add alot of crazy things to it's game because adding new things to a story can reckon the story or make it, too complicated. Because if Minecraft didn't have a story, they could have added a lot of random things to the game that players want, for example a new dimension and boss, if Minecraft didn't really have a story, they could easily do it, because they have before in April fools update, but adding it to a game that has a story would be much more difficult, and if you really think about it, most of the mobs in Minecraft have a story, the illagers, villagers, warden, allay, vex even the sniffer has a story to tell. In face value Minecraft may just seem to be a sandbox game but if you dig a little bit deeper you find that's a completely different game. So that's why I give plot and story telling to Minecraft.
I grew up with minecraft, but without mods it vecomes boring pretty fast.
Terraria allows nore variation for me.
I can choose which biome or boss to tackle first, which weapons, armor and accessories I will prioritize abd so on.
One day I'm going full tank true melee for fun, the other chuggibg mana down as a mage, having many minions as summoner or raining arrows and bullets as ranger.
Or combining classes, trying new things.
Using terrain aa advantage.
So many possibilities.

don't get me wrong both games are good, but Terraria is FAR superior to Minecraft in pretty much every way possible and it's not even close. The amount of content and things to do in vanilla Terraria alone makes even Minecraft with mods feel extremely stale and barren of content. After having played Terraria, Minecraft gets boring very fast. Terraria has less mods than Minecraft, but Terraria mods are huge. Calamity is a standalone mod that feels like a Minecraft mod pack it's so enormous. Plus, it heavily emphasizes quality over quantity. Also, terraria devs don't show their community three relatively boring and useless mobs make their fanbase fight to the death over which mob gets added and then attacks their fanbase for wanting Mojang to add the mobs they already showed off by condescendingly stating game development is hard.
Terrarias multiplayer experience, pvp/combat doesn't even come close to comparing to minecrafts though. So no it isn't superior in every way
@@aimbotxd7992the multiplayer is better in terraria. The pvp has a lot more diversity due to weapon and build diversity.

I mean saying that a survival game has no Story/Lory is just straight up stupid, like as you can tell minecraft and Terraria has poor lore, but another survival game which is Don't Starve Together has so good/rich lore, Developers with every update give us a video, where you can find a lot of hidden informations. I don't know if anyone makes videos in english about this but there is a polish youtuber who makes it, and well i watched like 5 times already, and won't stop watching that in future.

Terraria is superior because the developers are superior. Gameplay wise they are equals, but Minecraft's future is dim
I think people that call one of the other trash and one or the other better is just extreme cope on both sides.
Most of it is jealousy of the fact that the other game might have something over their favorite game and some of it is just because the other game is not the other.

Also the second you started talking about Minecraft so-called progression I immediately laughed because Minecraft is not about progression I don't know why people think is that the progression is the main point of the game because it's not.
The progression is simply there for the people who want to progress and beat the game it's not a necessity.
I will say though that the difference between ReLogic and Mojang their company mission is to be as Woke as humanly possible and ruin the game for every player ever while ReLogic just wants the game to be fun.
