You did a great job capturing this gem!
Little side fact @6:36 This is our old Rathaus / town hall.
But it has retired from its role as a town hall; now the building serves as a registry office where couples exchange their vows in civil ceremonies.

If you ever go to Regensburg again, let me know and I can give you some tips. I just returned from a 5 week long trip to Europe --3 weeks with my daughter, and 2 weeks "solo." We had Regensburg on the agenda, but had to skip it due to other plans previously made. We traveled by train most of the trip, but flew to Dubrovnik and back from Wien. Train to Budapest, and back to Salzburg for 2 nights in Mozart's birthplace. But I started solo from Munich, and after several rainy days I headed to Nurnberg for 2 nights, and then revisited Bamberg after my original 2017 visit before the Pandemic was even a bad dream. I did a lot of beer tasting along the way, and came to the conclusion that Muechner Augustinerbraeu was my #1.I had to visit Wuerzburg with my daughter, as it's one of my all time favorite German cities for sights worth seeing and food worth eating. Did a lot more that it's not possible to share here!

Hello you 4 (both channels), the south of Germany has so much Roman, Renaissance and French influences! You can also notice it in the wine (which I missed in the video 😢). I hope you get a taste for it. Maybe you can make it to the Mediterranean (ok. not all year round) in Germany, to Lake Constance and to the German Wine Route. For beer junkies on Lake Constance, in Tettnang, the world's best hops are grown and exported to the world.

@@NearFromHome I can recommend a ride from Donaueschingen to Passau which I did a couple of years ago. I went with Radweg-Reisen who are based in Konstanz. This year’s ride (also with them) was from Würzburg to Passau via Marktheidenfeld, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Kelheim, Regensburg and Deggendorf. It took in the Main, Tauber, Altmuhl and Donau cycle routes. I then went to Lindau for a few days. Passau is awesome and Lindau is pretty special. Am back there then Heidelberg in a couple of weeks.
Also your video on the place has inspired me to seek out Bamberg, though I’ll give the Rauchbier a body swerve as it’s not to my taste 😀

Yeah, it’s kind of a sad truth of the channel. Releasing content that is a bit different can really hurt us as a small channel. A lesson we learned the hard way when releasing the Turkey series. Those videos absolutely wrecked the channel and it tools months to recover. This is why following series like in Italy and what not have been broken up in between more mainline German content. It’s a worse viewing experience, I think, but it’s the only to protect the channels growth.
