Loving this German series, :) Enjoying alot. !!!! Just wondering if okay, Will you both do a Q & A video, Where we get to know you two more as individual's, :)
Maybe! not right now though unfortunately as trying to get our Australian series out now :) We will definitely talk about little things along the way in our episodes though.
I'm surprised that Irishman Glen and Mado from Germany didn't mention the close connection between Wurzburg and Ireland. Saint Killian, known as the "Apostle of Franconia", went there from Ireland and preached Christianity there with his Irish companions Totnan and Coleman (called Kolonat in Germany) from 686AD to 689AD All 3 were murdered and beheaded in the main square in Wurzburg by anti-Christians in July 689 AD. They are still there! Their skulls have been preserved and displayed in a "reliquary" in Saint Killian's Cathedral ("Wurzburger Dom") which was built on the very spot they were murdered. You can see their skulls to this day by visiting the cathedral. Three of the large statues on the bridge are of them. Killian has a golden sword in his hand. I think the statue in the background at 7:23 is of Totnan. Glen walked right past the 3 Irishmen on the bridge without saying hello to his fellow countrymen! Ireland and Germany issued joint, same design, Commemorative Postage Stamps in 1989 to mark the 1300th anniversary of their deaths. Also, the name "Kilian" is common in Bavaria, named after the Saint from Ireland. Greetings from Cork, Ireland.
