I love to see Flaherty beach York Peninsula . It will blow one’s mind away ! York Peninsula has amazing beaches . I love to see Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges. The lakes are more pink in summer and the weather can’t be cloudy . I love flat plains . They are not boring because you can look as far as the eye can see and the road looks endless . The sky looks so huge and I love the way the sky meets the landscape . My sister said that the Hay Plain is boring but I saw beauty in it plus I saw emus and kangaroos . It was also peaceful . All people want to see is mountains , forests and beaches , cities and towns . Thank you for your lovely video .
I live in Adelaide but my family had a beach shack at Wallaroo for many years. The North beach is one of the best beaches that you can drive your car on. Lots of lovely memories. When I go back there it feels like going home. My dad was born and bred in Wallaroo. My mum was from nearby Kadina.
The siren was the local CFS siren, all small towns in the Adelaide hills test them once a week briefly to ensure they are working. It’s amazing how far the sound carries.
I only recently discovered your videos. Thank you so much for sharing and appreciating our wonderful country and my home state of South Australia. SA is definitely dry during Summer, but Green over Winter. You are going to be going through a lot of farm land which goes from the Coast inwards. There are still so many wonderful, beautiful towns inland of our country. Ensure you have warm clothing for The Flinders Ranges, as the nights are cold during Summer. If you're following your way around the coast, Port Lincoln is worth a stop, along with Coffin Bay (their Oysters are the best), Coffin Bay National Park and the beaches. There are sand dunes in that part of SA, either go on a four wheel drive tour through the Sand Dunes in Port Lincoln or park and go for a walk with care. So glad to see your both wearing hats. Many UK visitors love our sun, but don't realize until too late how harsh it is.
Yourke Peninsula is primarily a grain-growing rural area. In the early days of Australia SA was the main source of the country's grain due to the shape of it's coastline, with so much of the farm land being within a day's haul of the coast by a cart pulled by horses or bullocks - especially so with Yorke Peninsula. At all the little ports the bagged wheat and barley was loaded onto a fleet of ketches and shipped off to the rest of the country.
Cool seeing this one. I grew up on a farm outside of Stansbury and went to school in Yorketown. My Dad is buried in the Cemetery on the other side of the road from Pink Lake, and the General Store in Inneston was owned by his Uncle who came from Denmark. Found out recently that Dad was also Prefect at the school in Minlaton as well, so I've got quite a few connections to this episode.
Nice seeing you enjoying my state. Plenty of things to do and see when you take the time to look. Unfortunately a lot of people in the eastern states skim past SA on their way to Perth WA. You will enjoy the very ancient Flinders Ranges. Stay safe and keep up the good work vlogging.
I've travelled the world and for me the best ever sunrises and sunsets are near Uluru in the Northern Territory. Also, if you get a chance to sleep under the stars there the night sky is amazing and brilliant with so many stars. I hope you get to experience it for yourselves. Safe travels.❤
Wow - what a coastline. Stunning. The video could have been about half the length to cover the same material, but that is just my opinion!! Thank you for enjoying our beautiful country.
I was born in Maitland. My father was a doctor there for many years. I did my nursing training there. Lovely hospital. The Peninsula has many beautiful places to visit.

😂 wild! We were watching your adelaide vlog yesterday. We live in the northern suburbs and ended up driving to Maitland today to take my mother in law home (she lives there). We take the drive pretty regularly and it's such a good drive. That view on the bend after port Wakefield when you see the ocean is the best.
If you see a fishing or camping shop along the way do yourselves a favor and buy two fly nets to put over those Bunnings hats it will make hiking more enjoyable this time of the year and make sure you have plenty of water heading into the Outback (if going Northern Flinders Ranges), most city people would normally holiday there autumn, winter or spring as it can get quite hot this time of year, your both doing great so far.
