Hi everyone, I was so surprise when I found your Video in my recommendations. I do live in Regensburg and I love this city! In Winter Regensburg is magical, but you truly should see it in Sommer. Especially on hot Sommer days and evenings. During the days you will find people lying on the grass around the Donau or Regen and swimming in it (you can see them swimming under the Steinerne Brücke). On the evenings the folks in Regensburg spurce up and go drink some wine while watching the water (either standing on the bridge or sitting along the river). Regensburg is called “the most Northern Italian City” and it truly is in the summer. You will find a lot of people busking cause we have a lot of cultural events in Regensburg. Even with the pandemic, the summers in Regensburg are just as magical as before. I hope I could convince you to visit Regensburg again. Have a great day and stay healthy ☺️
A quick reminder never swim under the steinerne brücke (stone bridge). The flow of water kills you! Theres a place where you can swim BUT ask a tourist guide where it is. :) anyway Regensburg is beautiful city.
Some more "fun" facts about the Stone Bridge: 1) As you can see there is a small and a wider passage into the city: The smaller one is the original one, whereas the wider one next to it was built around 1901 to allow the - back then new - tram to pass over the bridge (the tram network was abandoned in the 1960s). 2) Until 1997, the bridge was used as a normal route for vehicle traffic. You were allowed to simply drive over it with your car (public transporation was still using the bridge until 2008). 3) At the end of WW2 in April of 1945, the Nazis blew up a small part of the bridge (together with all other bridges crossing the Danube around the city) to slow down US troops from crossing the river and taking over the city - it gained them like 4 days.
Regensburg is certainly beautiful and worth seeing, but it is also only one of hundreds of cities in Germany that are worth seeing. Alone the cities with half-timbered houses from the Middle Ages would make a very long list.
Actually i like Regensburg best in Summer. It has an italian flair during that season. But its also pretty snow covered

Wow love how creative this video is ❤️. Have a vlog of my days in Regensburg as a South African but definitely don’t look like this 🤣 love how u captured the architecture
Oh thank you Kelly! So nice! 😊 It was a cold day, but fun to explore.
POV: you live near Regensburg and see someone post a video About it
Btw very awesome video! Well Done
Thanks Nina! I bet it’s interesting to see. Thanks for watching 😊
It's always nice to get a view from the 'outside'. It sensitizes you for things, you simply grown to overlook :D
Englisch (US)
If you like medieval towns, come to Esslingen am Neckar, in Baden-Wuerttemberg. It is my (chosen) hometown.
Thanks for the recommendation 😊
@@OurStorytoTell
If you want to, you can visit Esslingen, take my apartment (on a weekend). Spend my weekends at my partner's apartment, just around the courner. Just let me know! Enjoy your time. Love!
Recommendation: old stone Bridge in Würzburg in Summer. A lot of people meet on the Bridge in the evening to sip a Glas of whine at sunset.
We are headed her this weekend (hopefully) so thank you for sharing! We will have to go back in the summertime too it sounds like! 😊 Stay tuned for that video!
Man I miss Regensburg. If you're looking for magnificent churches, try to check out the Alte Kapelle (Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady) next time you visit! Stayed in Regensburg for a few months and almost missed this because the church looks so unassuming from the outside.
Like the Olymp for the greek gods, Walhalla in mythic terms is kind of a lounge room for the old nordic gods. Expect more sun from february on. This grey sky can really cause winterblues. The trick is not to care about it. 😃
You three are living every second to its fullest in Germany. You will be glad you did it. Was cold so not so easy but thank you for your time and money spent making your videos and living your life there to its fullest.
We are surely trying to 😊
I‘m from Regensburg and I love your video , because I love my city 😍😍😍 you need to eat @Misshong 😍
Thanks for the recommendation! 😊 We are happy you love where you live! It is a great city 😊
a great Video from Regensburg
Hey thanks Jay! 😊
Hello my friend thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching! 😊
Hi everyone,
I was so surprise when I found your Video in my recommendations.
Thanks Antonia! We loved it, and hope to make it there sometime this summer!
A quick reminder never swim under the steinerne brücke (stone bridge). The flow of water kills you! Theres a place where you can swim BUT ask a tourist guide where it is. :) anyway Regensburg is beautiful city.
It's so nice to see the city, in which i'm studying, in this vid.
At least I were in all those places xD
Hometown 0941 forever ❤️
I'm here now and having trouble finding gift shops with Regensburg printed coffee mugs.
Ive been living in Regensburg for 6 months now and im still getting lost 🥲
Haha we can imagine! 😂
In summer it is much better. But of course, a great city 💪
We believe it!
My Hometown 😊
I've got to get my marriage Ring on a ship on Donau when the sun goes down 😍 that was 2017/8

Love from India 😍
Some more "fun" facts about the Stone Bridge:
1) As you can see there is a small and a wider passage into the city: The smaller one is the original one, whereas the wider one next to it was built around 1901 to allow the - back then new - tram to pass over the bridge (the tram network was abandoned in the 1960s).
I see, you read the MZ article about the Stone Bridge being 25 years "Autofrei"; eh?
Valhalla is used a lot for picknick dates in summer actually
I want to move to Regensburg one day
I am living in this great city and love it so much ❤️
Aww we can see why you do! 😊
Regensburg is certainly beautiful and worth seeing, but it is also only one of hundreds of cities in Germany that are worth seeing. Alone the cities with half-timbered houses from the Middle Ages would make a very long list.
We agree!! We gotta start crossing them off one at a time ☺️
Nice Video ❤
Thank you! 😊
