2015 Volvo vnl 670. Check engine light on. Code is SPN 4813 engine oil thermostat bypass valve opening. So does that mean i need to replace that oil thermostat???
It's your ECM programming if your DEF gauge isn't showing but once the gauge test happens shows the gauge is working I had this issue but just deleted the shit because Volvos are a bitch with it so delete it is best but like you said a hell of a job to drill that shit out its like 2 feet long filter could be easy to just take it out but I couldn't on mine had to drill and cut

I used to work on volvos….I feel your pain lol
My main fear was working on the Mack Trash Trucks at the Volvo Dealer. You know you eatin some trash juice and maggots fasho
So only hollow out the dpf and not the soc filter that comes after it? ...
Can you explain me what kind of tool that I need. I see 5mm magnetic allen and what other parts that I need. Dealer asking insane price to replace.

Depends how long it takes. Usually should not be more than an hour, so 100-150$ depending on where you live

Where does the other valve go..i know theres 2 of them..
I honestly dont know where the other one is I think on the oil pan somewhere.
