Some RUclips weirdness: I saw some comments only two weeks after this video was published (they were hidden) 😑

The ranger Mark was really really helpful and willing to give a helping hand.
If more people would be like him !

Yeah, Mark is definitely a great man and a good friend. Without his help, I would have just given up and wouldn't have found it.

Great video. Well done finding it! I had a similar experience, though not as bad with my Euc, last year in Kelowna. Do you wear a teether now?

I'm so pleased that you managed to find your wheel.
I've been worried about doing the same thing. I did step off my wheel and thought nothing of it until it started rolling over the edge. Luckily, it was stopped by a small sapling. It would have gone a very long way!
It makes me think that I should be wearing a tether when riding trails with a steep drop off again.
Again. Congratulations for finding your wheel. 👍

I first thought this happened in Europe (your accent) until the ranger started talking and then I realized it was in Canada. Great video. I love adventure videos that tell a story.
Amazing that the ranger was willing to put in so much effort. Great that you can fix the Lynx (parts might be ~$1000 but cheaper than a new wheel).

Yeah, Mark (the ranger) is great, always has been. Without him it would be pretty much impossible

I'm glad to see that no one was injured and that there were no fires. I have to say that I honestly expected there to be a lot more damage to the wheel. The fact that everything pretty much stayed in tact speaks volumes about Leaperkims build quality.
Are you going to try to rebuild the Lynx yourself? If so, I'd love to see a video on that so I can add it to my PEV Repair play list.

I know many people might say otherwise but a tether would have definitely saved the wheel from tumbling to its death. I've ridden similar hills in Texas and Bentonville and I've had my wheel get away from me, thankfully to be saved by my tether and obviously because I'm still alive, no, the wheel didn't drag me down the side of the cliff!!
Glad you were able to locate it and everything turned out for the good!

Hey, glad nobody got hurt and you found it. Could you share more details about the crash? How far you were going, what happened exactly. Did you have wobbles, did you trip, did you hit a rock and how the wheel slipped or flew etc. Cheers

Just a loose ground, I'd say a bit looser than I'm used to. I've been riding that trail many times, but this time that part of the trail was a bit worse than usual. I believe I clipped a big rock with my wheel, and it went sideways, as did I.

14:06 I apologize in advance because Mark was awesome for helping out but this part made me chuckle. Very astute.

Considering it stopped only 40 yards from that trail I think he's not wrong about thinking about it, if there's a chance it's possible

If you’re going to drop your wheel off a cliff, this is about the most beautiful one you could hope for. Stunning area! Would love to ride here!

Lol yeah it's called "Velcro Heavy Duty" on Amazon and it looks like it justified that "heavy duty" part of its name 🙃

    That was let’s say lucky.
And nobody got hurt, no fire so everything is alright.
    But that was risky.
We have things to learn about.
