You can't have a wheel that just suddenly turns off at speed. No amount of rider experience is going to make that safe. Reckless or not, that makes a bad situation a horrible one. Drones use the same kinds of motors and controllers and don't do this because they'll fall out of the sky. Even crappy ones and home built drones use software to work within their even more limited performance window. Hell, the very first drone I made myself out of a kit and parts could this so it's very surprising to see a product being sold NOT have this capacity. They prevent problems like this with software by making it impossible or very difficult to reach situations where the hardware can no longer function as intended. In this case, controlled gradual performance degradation would have been an obvious solution. The fact that it was not on the device to begin with is inexcusable. Had Chooch been doing this where I live and had this happen, he would have been run over 3 times right after going down. Those are the stakes. Don't buy products that don't product their consumers.
Begode Sucks, here in my country there are no Begode EUCs on sale due to these problems! A colleague of our EUC group have had his house burned to the ashes due to a battery overheat while charging! @@alejandromuschkin5995 the S22 tops out at 45. there is no way you are able to lean your body over it going 40mph when you also weigh 200lb. The S22 doesnt have that nearly enough torque to do that

Glad you're in good shape, Chooch! It wasn't long ago an A2 randomly dropped Marty and he broke an ankle... now Chooch on an Extreme... Please, Begode, have mercy on our RUclipsrs 🙏
Glad you are OK Chooch and you are understandably upset after a fall like that, but you were leaning into the wheel hard man and it appears to be on an incline as well. What's that wheel 2400Wh with a C40 motor. Looks like voltage SAG to me. I set current alarms for my S18 for that very reason. The beeps are all very well but if you apply load the machine cannot cope with it's instant off every time. You can overpower anything if your determined enough.
Begode needs to put out just ONE wheel a year and engineer the hell out of it. They drop new wheels every other month and the ones that are actually built well don't get traction because there are too many. Their best built suspension wheel was the Hero, sadly. That wheel is underappreciated. Honorable mention for the EX 20S as well. Both well built, and neither still in production.
Come on man, get GPS so we known the speed. I don't wan to hear from the word of mouth, but from actual data if this was an overleaned or you overreached the max speed. The back light, is hallow and the linkage is not thick enough, thats garbage. Very disappointed that he could not survive a crash.
do you think a mtb helmet would have saved you or would a full face be required? I tend to use my mtb helmets when on the road so i can hear cars behind me but it feels risky
I just canceled my order. That's ridiculous. For what they are asking you'd expect better. Begode is not consistent in anything good but consistent in being unreliable.
Damn im coming to your video after deciding weather to buy this wheel! Im no longer buying it... glad your ok Chooch! You have no idea how many people you just saved from this video we really appreciate you! Stay safe!
@@Corn8Bit All begode wheels are like that. Begode's whole marketing appeal is they are the highest perf wheels and don't give a shit about safety. When voltage drops it reads as the battery % dropping. You are able to get alarms that play when you go X speed at Y battery or even PWM alarms that change based on battery. Riders choosing not to use the features is on them. It would be like getting on a supersport motorbike. Riding at 160mph down a highway and then running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere and blaming the manufacturer for not telling you your MPG.
It will be delayed but you're gonna feel that one for sure. Glad you are ok and Gear gets an A+. I will be investing in more of it before i get my next wheel
I pre ordered the Adventure. I am excited about it. No new videos for a few days, I hope you are feeling ok. I used to own a major urban Sk8 park back in the 90s. I have seen some amazingly talented athletes get spooked, and move on from riding ramp after a hard spill. But I know in my ❤ of ❤'s that you have just begun, when it comes to the EUC.
that fall was majestic not gonna lie. the automatic spread of the knees straight to that pads on the ground, definitely an experienced rider. nice recovery bro
I hope Begode is paying attention. If the batteries are not discharging properly or the firmware is not alerting the rider, that's a bloody shame. Between this and the suspension issues, it's a real concern.
They pay attention so much that they actually tell or ask the content creators to actually remove videos complaining or showing accidents with their wheels, they are crazy
Damn to walk away like that at 35 miles per hour really speaks to your gear, I crashed at 26 with gear on and still ended up with breaking a bone and really bad road rash.
that looked terrifying - we've all hit the power beeps, supposed to be 80%? between this and the Denis Hagov review? Not too promising. He points out that the Extreme is a combination of successful wheels (EX30 motor, Master Battery, T4 frame) - wasn't designed from the ground up. Frustrating thing with Begode is how they just throw ideas at the wall, hoping they will stick. EX.N HS, and the Master V2 are my all time favorite wheels. Instead of radical change, they should stick with and hone their best ideas. I'd guess this wheel could actually be a poor seller, and maybe help both Begode and the EUC community to re-think design and... most important feature: reliability - because that can't happen! That is the type of experience that will end an EUC riders passion, either through injury or choice
The video you made where you talked about your gear got my attention. Especially when you explained why good shoes are important. Yesterday I slipped off my rental commuter e-bike. total fluke that was just embarassing. as the top of my shoe (vibram 5 finger) dragged on the ground and getting ripped, I remembered what you said. Now this video solidifies why gear is important all the time. - I don't have an EUC yet. when I get it I will budget gear too. THANKS!
God must have geared you up for this one bro. Glad you reconsidered that point before setting out. IMHO after so many experimental wheels it's about time for them to be charged with negligence.
hey begode, do you want to kill or hurt your clients ? what a bad cutoff !!! thanks to god, chooh is not hurt. thank you chooch to risk your life for us !!!!!
Dang that was a gnarly wipeout. I'm glad that you're okay! Like you said, always wear full safety gear, even if it's uncomfortable. I wear it even just riding around my neighborhood. You never know when you'll need it, and almost all accidents happen within 5 miles from home.
My friend in Toronto cut out at 50 mph with no beeps on an extreme last week, gotta be careful with that wheel, set your PWM alarms and stuff.. glad you’re ok dude ..
I dont get why these machines do not have dynamic speed limiters based on the rider weight and current voltage. The math needed to solve cutouts seems easy enough.
Lucky me cause I was about to get the Begode Extreme but it's still in pre-order in us. Not planning on it at all anymore. Either it's Patton or Inmotion Adventure now
@@kabosune9097 Patton is fantastic and it’s been a few batches. The adventure looks incredible but InMotion didn’t nail the suspension last time . Getting the first batch of any wheel is always a dice roll
C40 motor plus 50e cell x 4p = disaster? Firmware should have caught that before the thing cut out. I recall in a Chance video where he stated they turned up the amps from 250a to 300a due to one of his requests. Perhaps firmware calculations are still set to 250a and they haven’t taken that into account?
Damn bro. That was insane. Without a scratch and caught it all on video. Someone or something def on your side bro. I have a begode exn hs and it’s been good to me hitting 50+ I try to keep it around 40mph and under. Love your vids Chooch! Appreciate your reminder to wear safety gear. I need to update mine.
Those rear sliders absorbed a lot of the impact forces well. This is why I don't do low or midr-ange wheels anymore. for me, the EX30 and the V13 and a Shermans are the new standards for avoiding crashes and until wheels perform at these extremes its a no from me. PS Chooch, you were leaning hard bro at 35mph and maybe uphill. I think this wheel is designed for low end torque not high speed torque. but glad you wore the gear. We have a lesson on this wheel. Big thanks for your work here.
Chooch, you are one lucky dude for wearing that gear after you thought to review in a helmet only setup. Good lesson for all of us. Begode reminds me of Microsoft: release first, then work on the bugs.
@RogueTravel very nice, thank you for clarifying that. I think I'll be getting mine in about a year or two. Right now money is a little tight so I'm going to have to save up for it.

Begode Sucks, here in my country there are no Begode EUCs on sale due to these problems! A colleague of our EUC group have had his house burned to the ashes due to a battery overheat while charging! These are the worst EUCs ever made!! It is a no no here in Brazil, besides authorities concerns! They are not safe and should not be sold!! Glad you are fine Bro!
The battery of my Begode RS exploded and caught my house on fire, now we’re living in an apartment waiting for the insurance decision.

I had high hopes for this wheel, but from everything Im seeing so far its making me reconsider. Damn those beeps didn't even give you enough time to back off
same lol
its pretty easy to avoid cutout a wheel when you dont put half your weight over the front of it while going 35mph+. Definitely rider error lol
@@tubbehht9236 he was riding seated, this should not happen with a wheel with that kind of power. I can lean like that seated easily on my s22 pro going 40+ mph and I weight 200 pounds.
@@alejandromuschkin5995 the S22 tops out at 45. there is no way you are able to lean your body over it going 40mph when you also weigh 200lb. The S22 doesnt have that nearly enough torque to do that
@@tubbehht9236 leaning seated is very different than leaning standing. I ride 40 miles everyday on my s22 pro leaning like that and never had a cutout. When you lean seated it is very little weight you're able to move foward or backward thats why its so hard to brake in that position.
Glad you're in good shape, Chooch! It wasn't long ago an A2 randomly dropped Marty and he broke an ankle... now Chooch on an Extreme... Please, Begode, have mercy on our RUclipsrs 🙏
Begode will do what they must
Glad you walked away from it relatively unscathed! Thanks for being our crash dummy chooch. In all respect, it's greatly appreciated.
Thank God your ok! Begode owes you for risking your life to test their wheel!
You are the Man in the arena. Chooch you are the real deal. Glad you are ok buddy!
Dude glad you decided to wear gear that day. That 35+mph fall with no gear would have been devastating.
Come on man, get GPS so we known the speed. I don't wan to hear from the word of mouth, but from actual data if this was an overleaned or you overreached the max speed.
The back light, is hallow and the linkage is not thick enough, thats garbage. Very disappointed that he could not survive a crash.
I broke my eyebrow and got 8 stitches. The speed was only 25 km/h. Only 1 time did not put on a helmet! Always use protection!
do you think a mtb helmet would have saved you or would a full face be required? I tend to use my mtb helmets when on the road so i can hear cars behind me but it feels risky
Well I cancelled my preorder. I dont know how many asses you just saved but thanks my freind. I love eucs but those damn cut offs...
Bro, serious crash! Super glad you wore your armor. Begode will always be a commode.
Stay safe!
Out of one person cutting out? Lmao I hope you don't buy any wheel at all since they've all cutout.
The way it cutout is scary
@@Corn8Bit All begode wheels are like that.
Begode's whole marketing appeal is they are the highest perf wheels and don't give a shit about safety. When voltage drops it reads as the battery % dropping. You are able to get alarms that play when you go X speed at Y battery or even PWM alarms that change based on battery.
Riders choosing not to use the features is on them. It would be like getting on a supersport motorbike. Riding at 160mph down a highway and then running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere and blaming the manufacturer for not telling you your MPG.
@@eucLogic3 people have cutout on this wheel already and either the beeps haven't gone off or it was way too late
Be a wise person, and don’t be like the ignorant person in the video. The rider’s lack of brains has nothing to do with the car.
*I can't stop laughing!*
🤣😂🤣
It will be delayed but you're gonna feel that one for sure. Glad you are ok and Gear gets an A+. I will be investing in more of it before i get my next wheel
I pre ordered the Adventure. I am excited about it. No new videos for a few days, I hope you are feeling ok. I used to own a major urban Sk8 park back in the 90s. I have seen some amazingly talented athletes get spooked, and move on from riding ramp after a hard spill. But I know in my ❤ of ❤'s that you have just begun, when it comes to the EUC.
Our lives are in the hands of engineers. Glad your safe Chooch. Everyone. Get the right wheel. Getting injured sucks.
Dude good thing your wearing safety gears it could have been worse! Dude make sure you it's fully charged!
that fall was majestic not gonna lie. the automatic spread of the knees straight to that pads on the ground, definitely an experienced rider. nice recovery bro
Begode have worst build quality when it comes to internals, avoid them at all cost!
Please don't be an ignorant person~ The rider's own problems have nothing to do with the car, understand~
I really want to buy an extreme now; it stood up really well to that. I don't wear gear and never will for casual riding.
So glad that you are ok, man!
Glad your ok
Take Care Colton
You said it, ALWAYS gear up! Always! Can you imagine how badly injured you would have been without it?
Damn to walk away like that at 35 miles per hour really speaks to your gear, I crashed at 26 with gear on and still ended up with breaking a bone and really bad road rash.
Damn I was waiting for the video to drop. That sucks bro. At least you are ok and able to post instead of being in the hospital
that looked terrifying - we've all hit the power beeps, supposed to be 80%? between this and the Denis Hagov review?
Damn that was a nasty wreck . We're all just glad you're ok man .Begode should legit give you a new wheel
You know what they say. Its not if its going to happen but WHEN it happens. Common sense so wear the ppe. Thank you for making this video.
With all of the reports of Begode wheels being awful, I don't know if I can ride my EX.N again.
And they said Kingsong was the worst EUC company.
hey begode, do you want to kill or hurt your clients ? what a bad cutoff !!! thanks to god, chooh is not hurt. thank you chooch to risk your life for us !!!!!
Eucinthesix?
shit! cut out at 50! you could end in the hospital
I dont get why these machines do not have dynamic speed limiters based on the rider weight and current voltage. The math needed to solve cutouts seems easy enough.
Glad you are ok. Glad I grabbed the Patton
Well, u should expect a EXTREME cut out, not an INSANE one. Glad you are ok!
I thought 4P was the best because if one pack fails the other can take over?
@@malerightsusa Four packs in parallel are okay, but with that motor I would feel safer with 6p or higher discharge cells.
Begode isn't a company to trust
User error
You were clearly pushing the wheel too far forward and caused it to cut out
Pleased youll be back.
Pwm settings?
Alarm settings?
Tiltback setting?
This is one of the reasons why I will NEVER buy a Begode wheel.
Chooch, you are one lucky dude for wearing that gear after you thought to review in a helmet only setup. Good lesson for all of us. Begode reminds me of Microsoft: release first, then work on the bugs.
By the way, can you make a log of your ride available?
I use MacOS, and I ride a Patton.
When Microsoft window crash you don't land on your face.
@@jameshwang4750 it’s a good thing that Microsoft doesn’t make unicycles then, isn’t it
Hell yeah dress for the fall! Sucks about the wheel but glad you walked away without a scratch!
Glad you're OK man
Looks like the new motherboard and battery monitoring improvements may have come without enough testing.
i'm so glad you were well geared up !
Looks like the Vet Patton just got bumped up to the top of my list. I'm glad you were able to walk away from this.
I’m at 1500+ miles on this wheel, regularly ride at 40+ mph. No issues
@@RogueTravel what do you think the issue could be in Chooch's case?
@@ionflow1073 I’m talking on the Patton, love it
@RogueTravel very nice, thank you for clarifying that. I think I'll be getting mine in about a year or two. Right now money is a little tight so I'm going to have to save up for it.
I'm glad you're ok my dude 🙏
Glad you're okay bro!
That is insane! I’m sorry that happened man.
That was a great powerslide, glad you didn't get hurt more. I'm definitely getting those kneeguards. Just need to figure out what armor I should get.
Noooooo! Glad you're okay my friend. On to the next I guess. Excited for that IM Adventure I know your opinion will make it or break it for me (just like what this video did for the Extreme)
This is why you were gear for any sports with speed. When I watch the skateboarders going down public roads with almost nothing on, it makes me SHUDDER. Lifelong motorcyclist here, who has bit it.
Glad you’re ok.
And that is how you get run over by a truck towing a trailer...
Glad you're OK.
That firmware needs tweaking.
Glad your ok man, another reason to always wear proper gear!
