Me and my daughter had a day out in Liverpool a couple weeks ago. It absolutely broke our hearts to see so many people living on the streets. In this day and age no one deserves to exist like this.
I was homeless for a month. I'm lucky that I had a car to sleep in. I asked for help to get a place to live and a job. I applied to Universal Credit and I didn't pass the test because I don't have proof of address. I'm sorry for all the people who are in this situation and I feel bad for them because I know that nobody cares. No one helps you when you're down and everyone looks at you with different eyes. Never been homeless myself thank god but I have gone and stayed with family and friends when times got hard and I was lucky, but you are bang on there mate the people who are there when you’re up aren’t the same people there for you when you’re down but you’ve got to realise yourself through experience and it hurts to ask people for a bit of help especially when you would help them no questions asked if they were in your position and you were in there’s but life’s one big lesson and if you don’t learn from it then that’s on you

There's a jewellers round the corner from Pandora and there was a fella sleeping rough outside there, the symbolism of that was really upsetting to be honest. Hope these men and women get some help and can find away to a better life, they're just people like us at the end of the day. Most of these official charities a massive portion goes on “Administration costs” and when you dig a bit deeper, admin costs can be & have been 10 days in the Caribbean to meet up with other folks from the same charity who are worldwide. Think channel 4 done a documentary on it about 10yrs back.

It’s terrible yes can I walk round when I go to work and see and the know I’m from Birmingham Move to Liverpool and Birmingham is the worst if you ever go to Birmingham people are dying on the streets in Birmingham and I don’t care the council all the same house you know Birmingham is gone bankrupt the council That was in when I was living in Birmingham that was three homeless people died outside Grand Central. It was on the news it’s terrible people shouldn’t have to live like that’s terrible. When I came to Liverpool I was scammed my landlord I couldn’t get anywhere to live and everybody said to me go back to Birmingham but I said I’ve got nothing to go back to. The ridiculous tiered social housing system needs totally overhauling in my opinion. This is the main cause of the social housing crisis in Liverpool. There are people I know who are in the highest category and have been waiting for years even though they’re apparently top of the list.
You are right. They do go to the front of the queue because the government brought in the equality act 2010 which is unfair, unjust and makes the whole of the system unequal. Therefore, our own are left swinging and LCC should hold their heads down in shame, every single one of them. We need to rise up against the tyranny and be counted. It would be a good idea for the council to get rid of the ridiculous tiered housing system that has categories from A to E ( I think) and has people bidding on social housing. Even people who are in the highest level (A) are on the waiting list for years so what chance have people got in those lower b,c, d and e levels got?! It’s a sham and needs totally overhauled with the different levels removed. People need rehousing on their importance of needs at the time.

Hiya planning project. I have been shooting arrows at LCC on behalf of the Homeless and I have an ongoing case being investigated by the Ombudsman. I have also linked up with Shelter but havent got very far with them. I believe we may be able to unite because this situation has spiralled out of control and Wii only get worse. LCC have not had a Homelessness Strategy for the past 3 years whereby they have broken the law, fact and yet they have just been awarded 4 billion pounds to create further suffering to the good people of this city. It would be a good idea for the council to get rid of the ridiculous tiered housing system that has categories from A to E ( I think) and has people bidding on social housing. Even people who are in the highest level (A) are on the waiting list for years so what chance have people got in those lower b,c, d and e levels got?! It’s a sham and needs totally overhauled with the different levels removed. People need rehousing on their importance of needs at the time.

Hiya Marc, the whole of the homelessness system created by LCC is a sham and they are not helping the good people of this city instead they are deliberately keeping us exactly where they want us. They want us to need them so they can justify the 4 billion pound funding they have
just received from the government to add to the 2 billion or more they received not long ago. LCC have created so much suffering, misery and pain in this city and we are seeing through their lives. i was homeless at 16 back in the 90s and worst was on a night all my mates go home id be left find a hole somewhere to curl up and sleep had back probs since got home and family now but can relate

Hiya planning project. I have been shooting arrows at LCC on behalf of the Homeless and I have an ongoing case being investigated by the Ombudsman. I have also linked up with Shelter but havent got very far with them. I believe we may be able to unite because this situation has spiralled out of control and Wii only get worse. LCC have not had a Homelessness Strategy for the past 3 years whereby they have broken the law, fact and yet they have just been awarded 4 billion pounds to create further suffering to the good people of this city. We will be at the Town Hall next Tuesday at 5 o clock, look forward to meeting with you. Love & Unity.
