Hi mate. I’m glad someone is bringing the homeless crisis to light. There is a lot of people I’ve thought aren’t homeless. But it’s hard to tell at times. There’s all sorts of Romanian gangs on the street. As people have said, tarnishes the genuine and desperate
Homeless RUclipsr here! Lol I'm female btw. If you can get her in Brydon they will also help with the transport. As a female yes, we are always getting propositioned. It's a sad fact,. Don't feel bad about helping women, anybody can see your heart is in the right place. It's not because of you, but obviously you become extremely cautious as a female. Don't take it to heart mate it's just how it is. Wrong though it may be.
Oh god I really got that wrong didn’t I? I do apologise, your information has been amazing. You should really start putting some content on your channel
@@Kevcupo everybody gets my gender wrong I think it's because my profile picture is me with Corey Taylor from Slipknot and people just see a male first in the pic so no worries. I keep meaning to put stuff out so thanks for the encouragement. People like you basically save our lives every day, just knowing someone cares goes a really long way. Thanks again for what you do.

Kev most of the ones with a sign saying homeless hungry god bless are a part of a gang who Operate in most of the cities/towns in the northwest I've seen them being dropped off . Yes Kev billy moore has done a vid on these type of beggers in the city of Liverpool.
@nuetral2374 Hello to you. Your comment: gang who operate begging. I personally believe its a sort of Criminal Capitalism ( just saying ) Anyway, Peace to all.
In all walks of life there are scammers . The best thing to do is stop and chat to the people ,people know who are the real homeless , shop owners , security , reguilar shoppers and other homeless , so give them food , if its not suitable for them, they will give it to others. If you need to know they need a room in a hostel , offer to go with them and pay. Many find faith when they are at rock bottom , so knocking those who say God Bless is diabilical, certainly I know many homeless that say that , and mean it!
Women on the streets are either living in government boarding or at have a place to stay, if they don't they are either drunks or smackheads because women are catered for but have to give up the drink or drugs to live there; men are rarely catered for or lucky. I'm glad you mentioned the non-homeless, as there are a lot in Liverpool (I don't know about the rest of the country) who have a house and take it as free money on top of their benefits; taking it away from the proper homeless. Same for people selling the Big-Issue nowadays, as it's full of people from abroad who are also living in a house and making extra money either themselves or in a bigger gang. Selling the Big Issue used to be for a year or two until you are on your feet. Now, it's full of foreigners who have been doing it for ten years or so, and have nice clothes on and disappear four or five times a year when they go back home abroad to see family.
@@sammillar3561 I was not commenting on a woman's issue, as it's a situation that affects men. Men don't get catered for in the UK (unless you're an illegal immigrant), and women are always catered for first. That's true equality!
It's also bad in Chester. I know someone who works with the homeless and some can make hundreds of pounds a day by hanging around expensive hotels. However many are scammers and some in organised gangs and return home for the night. If they only want money they've got a drug or alcohol problem or they're likely a scammer. It's best to only buy food if you think they're genuine.
@@martinbobfrankno they don't my daughter was homeless for 3 years though no fault of her own and she didn't get no help. She would of if she was an addict or alcoholic but the fact that she wasn't she didn't get no help for three years she also works for the NHS.
You just don’t really know who to help now. A guy next to new m&s with a hungry board by him and with a blanket over his head counting out his £10 notes and he had a wad of them.
A taxi driver told me that he was furious when a fake homeless person got into his cab. He told me that the passenger in the back was gloating while counting out hundreds of pounds while laughing.
I had friends visiting Liverpool a few weeks ago..... I was ashamed to take them into the city, Outside almost every shop front in Church st and around Liverpool 1, was a tent set up with handwritten notices.... People hanging around the cash machines.... and a couple of guys with signs 'please spare 30P'.( that's a new one!) .... It is very noticeable that most of these supposed'homeless' are working together... In Liverpool over the years we had several characters who were known to the passing public and we used to give them a few bob in passing.... but sadly these parasites are wrecking the city.... I now give to shelter and will not give to anyone on the streets.
The best thing to do is just buy them food, unfortunately the likes of Shelter are a business dressed up as a charity. The CEO is on around £135,000 per annum. I totally agree that we need to weed out genuine from the fake homeless
@@Kevcupo Big charity organizations are shysters. The Likes of Oxfam price up their 'vintage' items according to online prices. That is not the spirit of charity, as I know it. Our local Oxfam has a guy come around every week to professionally price up their vinyl LP's. They also are choosy about things they 'can't sell'.
@@MrBlaxjax A surprisingly low amount per item purchased goes to charitable purposes, despite the merchandise being free, the shop workers being volunteers and the absence of business rates.
Be careful mate, your good will and compassion could be used against you, some of these ppl are very vulnerable and come from difficult backgrounds.. if an allegation was made against you it is much harder for you to prove it’s false than it is for them to make the allegation. Stay safe and well done for caring enough to help !!
Hey Kev. You have good heart and a Christian soul. I think you would make a great street pastor, maybe it's your calling. But you do have to be careful when dealing with vulnerable people. They probably have had people who have offered to help them in the past, only to find out that they had ulterior motives, so it must be hard for them to trust people who genuinely want to help.. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
I made a conscious decision some years ago not to give money to people begging in the street. I based this on clear evidence that the money people often blindly hand over to beggars in the street is used for substance abuse, alcohol consumption and also gambling. So rather than fuel people's addictions and line the pockets of drug dealers especially, I would donate the occasional spare cash I have to legitimate organisations who are dedicated to helping people break these addictions.
Most registered charities are big business. Look at what the head of the organisation receives. Buy some food and donate it to a food bank near the checkouts.
Lazyboy: This homeless guy asked me for money the other day I was about to give it to him and then I thought he's just going to use it on drugs or alcohol And then I thought: "That's what I'm going to use it on!" "Why am I judging this poor bastard?"
It's a tricky one, I honestly think you're doing the right thing. I would be torn myself, I'd want to help, but as I previously worked in homeless services for vulnerable people in Dublin, I know the risks. You could be accused of anything, even if you're covering yourself with your footage. If you were to help directly, it would be best through existing charities.
@@honeyfaulkner2961 Unfortunately charities rely on Government funding to do their work, and that's never sufficient. Governments use the charities to move the problem on, just passing the bucket. It's pretty much the same here in Ireland, we have record numbers of homeless and no joined up thinking to fix it.
Hi Kev, I have just watched your latest ' homeless ' video and I find it upsetting with what all this is doing to you. So sad hearing about Mary and the situation in which she finds herself. It's a fact that you take a chance talking to any women or children these days. This all seems to be taking its toll on you and I worry about you and what you're taking on. I wonder if you might be better joining an organised group if you want to continue this work because doing it alone can affect your safety and mental health. Taking the homeless off the streets will always be a job for city councils and the government, but they don't seem interested so people like you take this huge job on your shoulders when you shouldn't have to. I worry about you Kev, you have a family who rely on you but you have taken on this crusade, God bless you for the care you show, I hope it's all worth it. ❤
I’m really fine David, just need to start covering my own back. I’ll go back to the original plan of highlighting the problem until someone in power listens
But government don't care as long they in range rover messing people around on benefits and laughing saying all well you run of money that's this people like in government
I’ve been following you for a few weeks now. You are doing a great. job helping these people. The world needs more people like you .I’m in NZ my husband was scouse and have been to Liverpool many times. Homelessness seems to be a worldwide problem.
Loads of fake homeless in town mate..quite a lot go to Anfield on match days aswel..they take away from the real homeless like you said mate...must go the gallery when you're photos are up.
I 18th century writer William Hazlitt explained it. To be brief. You help someone and next time you see them they are rude and ungrateful to you. The reason is that being grateful is very wearing and the feeling flees quite quickly so in order to emphasize that you feel under NO obligation to your helper you are rude and obnoxious.
Predators are predators they take advantage where they can. Newly homeless persons are at a massive disadvantage without some support and guidance. It is sad that your support gets tempered due to you having to protect yourself from shall we say mischievous accusations. Keep up the good work, hopefully a solution to helping vulnerable women comes soon.
That girl that cleared off with the other girl is a new addition... she asked me for money the other day... definitely not homeless.... bleached hair with no roots!! unfortunately lot of people blagging now....as a 55 year old woman with diabetes and arthritis still working for minimum wage, most of my income pays for my one bedroom flat,i don't claim any benefits...i used to give to some homeless but not anymore...i couldn't afford a new coat this winter, some of them are better dressed than me.
Newcastle council told people not to give as they know who are genuine and are helping them to access services...they arrested 5 beggars only one was genuine....
You are brilliant for what you are doing, I’m sorry Mary asked you the outrageous question. Please be careful around vulnerable women you never know what allegations or things can happen.
From Mary's perspective she wasn't asking an outrageous question (it may seem like that to those that don't live on the streets) to her it was a question which could potentially protect her. We shouldn't apologise for Mary asking, she has a voice.
What a shithole Church Street now is, and not as a result of homelessness. The more Islamic the city centre becomes the worse it gets. Compare the seediness and imported poverty of 2024 to pictures of the area in the 70s, 80s and 90s when it was bustling with Liverpool people just out for some shopping or on their lunch break. How this has been allowed to happen is both sad and disgraceful in equal measures.
I'm with you on the padlock crap, it's a big part of social media attention, people do it for online attention, doubt they'd do it if not. There was a small ish bridge in France where they had to be cut off because it was too heavy for the bridge's metal work.
I am originally from Liverpool what has happened to our city . I worked 10 mins walk away from were you were filming your videos make me cry. I am still a very proud Scouser.
It’s hard isn’t it Kev , I could see you were kind of upset with that situation and I don’t blame you , you’ve probably already thought of this but maybe take a female friend of yours when your going out and about mate , it’s hard but your doing a great job.👍
I'm a poly addict in recovery, it took me 30 years to have a psychic change. I ask myself, I ask God..."If no human being could help me, what shall I do? The night before I was relieved of my obsession, I ended up alone and pleading with God. He and He alone provided me with spiritual tools, nothing external helped, in fact, peoples help mostly hindered me. It took the effort away from me and put some poor person in my path to abuse and manipulate. That was just for me, my experience. I personally believe there IS enough services. The question now remains is it down to the seeker??
Big issue and others with signs are always dropped off and picked up later. One guy with a sign was outside a local shop and days later saw him outside aldi in another village. Theyre trying it on all over the place. Absolute con merchants. Give the woman some train fare to get to Manchester if shes too scared to accept a lift. Simple enough...
I've started to see regular begging at a local retail park - those places are usually out of town, and not easily accessible, so either they've got money to bus there, or they are part of a mobile 'team'.
Theres a gang culture of foreigners operating out of the big cities, personally seen scuffles with Glaswegians taking these imposters on and calling them out.Be careful doing your work, as some of these characters have back up lurking.
was one from Blackpool years ago who lost both legs and drove a astra gte on disability used to run a team across the northwest and was so well known they would be featured in the local paper
I remember a few years ago I gave a 10er to a guy begging on the train. What he said was so scripted. Thinking back to then I still get annoyed now that I gave him money out of the kindness of my heart.
This is why I have a couple of lads that I help out and I know are homeless. Would love to do more, but I’m at a loss trying to decipher who’s genuinely homeless. The lad by the cashy is sound and I do help him when I can he also just like a hot chocolate if you don’t have any slam on ye! Good vid mate 👍
Happening in Wales also. So I don't give to any of them, instead I donate to the local churches who look after the real homeless they take clothes and food.
Sometimes people are so screwed up in addiction they are stuck and need money to combat the withdrawals and all that comes with it, it’s a viscous circle. Whilst people may want money it better than commuting crime and all the misery it creates, just watched couple of your videos love the fact you keep people anonymous keep winning 🙏

You can tell by the look on your face that you are concerned & confused about the remark Mary made. Don't take it personally but I think you did because it took you by surprise. You are doing this from your generosity & caring mind set without any other thought, so sometimes something unexpected is said that makes you reassess how you are doing things. You know you would never do anything to upset or harm those you want to help & in these vlogs it is clear to us all that you are a man with a conscience. You are a decent man Kev.... & you gave me a namecheck. 😮 Cood a hell bu' - that's a Suffolk saying (a bit similar to saying, unbelievable Jeff)
I don't often give money but I do offer food and drinks and sometimes dog treats too! The genuinely homeless are very appreciative of this and a wee chat. I'd give warm clothing at this time of year too. You soon learn how to spot the scammers, they rarely want food or second hand jumpers!!!
Good on ya, plus good to see your city - coming to have another look round in about 3 weeks. I'm so jealous of all that water (I live next to Brum - sod all here) Nobody is genuine anymore, I saw a guy in Bournemouth years ago with brand spanking new trainers worth about £100. Good luck with your channel 🎉
Never ever give money. Unless of course its the guys who sell the Big Issue. They have to buy their magazines to sell on and are genuine. Where I live, there are 'homeless' people who are shipped in and hand over their haul to clearly well off people. In broad daylight and without even trying to hide it - shocking.
Where I live all the pitches are taken by Roma, mostly the ladies. They are nice, and smile but they only have about 3 of the magazine and as it costs about £4.50 now,to us,they are not going to sell many. But it qualifies them for tax credits + never having been involved in all this I don't understand the details but it is the tax credits or whatever it is now, that provides the income not the actual magazine.
i only see r0m@ Big Issue sellers now. They all have fake ID. I spoke with Big Issue staffer about it. They call them rogue vendors. I don't know where they get their magazines to sell, but it's not legit. Big Issue know about them but can't or won't do much about it
in wales working people are homeless,,had 2 stay in my houise last year,,they now live in vans....the cost of rent is way too high for singel people working or not
Regarding the locks, at least it serves as a guide to what sort of lock you should but if you are going to be using it in a maritime environment. Surprised some lock company hasn't used it to advertise the quality of their brand.
Liverpools homeless has definitely increased. It’s just devastating. To see some people trying to say they are homeless is awful. You have to have your wits about you. They are taking away as well from the genuine people who are homeless. On a different note I’m sorry you don’t like the locks at the dock. I put a lock on the year my husband died. At the spot we always sat at on our trips to the docks. Every time I go back I sit there & see the lock. It brings joy. Took our granddaughter a couple of times. She was born after he passed away. So for me I like them but we are all different x
I accept the symbolism of why you chose to put a lock there but many have done it over the years for more frivolous reasons and there's so many there now it just looks tacky.
Yeah it’s a difficult one, I’d say that you are in the 1% of genuine reasons for those locks. 99% are just for social media reasons. I’m really sorry to hear about your husband.

@Redtop1965 Hello to you. Yes, I know what you mean. I live in a fairly up-market, area, visited by many folk. Professional Beggers, hang about / visited, this area all the time. I often see gullible visitors giving them money.
Good that you are highlighting this kev i have seen the various content which is highlighting the precarious position of the homeless in liverpool, you are doing a wonderful job helping the people of your city as you say it's better to be more careful all things can before more of a problem but keep going nice weather although cold up there.
There’s a place in Glasgow that you can buy vouchers which gives the homeless a meal etc, it’s a good idea as I’ve bought vouchers in the past and given them instead. There’s been a few that’s refused them and wanted money but I don’t give it
Thank you for your videos. Very interesting. I'm afraid I'm very cynical towards people begging. I try to have a proper conversation with any I see (there aren't many where I normally go) occasionally outside the supermarket. I always offer food but do not give money. The last person I spoke to kept asking me to take him home with me. I phoned the local group who deal with the homeless. I was a bit frightened.
I’m from Birmingham and I moved to Liverpool 12 months ago. What happened to me was I got scammed by a landlord because I had a job and a flat sportster and I was living in and out of hotels now I’ve got some way to leave and I’ve got a job at Travelodge. It is hard because when I first came and couldn’t find the landlord it was a taxi driver was gonna help for me somewhere to stay. I’ve got two cat and a dog and I thought no I thought the same thing as you thinking, but you just have to be careful Some of them, you don’t know if they are homeless or not or homeless one Monday with dogs and everybody said he’s not homeless. Just shows you keep up the good work 🙏🏽
This happens in Milton Keynes too. Around the shopping centre there are a whole bunch of matresses and other makeshift beds (of the homeless). But if you walk around the centre early in the morning none of these beds have people in them, nor have they been slept in. Nothing more than props used by the beggars.
Thank you for the video. The Mary Situation sounds scary ~ its bad that some men offer help but SOME expect " things" in return, its disappointing & disgusting. There's some right weirdo's out there sadly.
I used to work at the Royal. There were a lot of homeless people around there. Some used to sit in the car park area. Often wondered why they choose that area, rather than in the town centre, and if they were genuine.
Here in Ireland it's now become commonplace to see professional beggars driven to the early morning begging spots in people carriers, set up their dirty sleeping bags/sheets, and then sit and pretend to be homeless, asking for money using written notices. One "beggar" has been arrested as an illegal immigrant and deported four times, yet he is back here again, and often seen driving the people carrier "taxi" to drop off his fellow professional beggars, before parking his vehicle in a handicapped space for free, then taking his begging attire/kit to his own spot. Some now have signs not asking for spare change, but for amounts of money from €10 upwards, of all things. People daren't use outside cash-point machines anymore, as they are then surrounded by these "beggars" demanding money, or the machines have been tampered with by professional thieves who install false card slots and pin-hole cameras to film and steal pin numbers, then cloning the card details, and emptying people's accounts soon afterwards. Even the local buskers are targets for these professional beggars, who try and steal the guitar cases with the money people have thrown in for the busker, leading to fights and injuries, and rarely do the Gardai (Irish Police) get involved now, it's become so common a sight, as we have no foot patrol Gardai on the streets, and if they are called to attend, it can take up to four hours for an actual Garda to arrive, as they are so short-staffed. Oddly enough, these beggars are videoed regularly stealing and attacking people, the videos put up online, yet the Gardai still don't do anything, due to "lack of evidence" available. This along with the street cameras watching too, just shows how accepted this has become in daily life here in Ireland.
What makes it so hard for them is all the ones pretending to be homeless , it just takes a couple of moments to size the up , one in town the other day was begging but only wanted £1 pieces , l kid you not , l have a few when able give not much as l am a pensioner but l know they are genuine,
When you get time Kevin. You should follow the Fake homeless and film them getting in cars or to there house. Someone did this and the homeless chap drove off in a new BMW. Keep up the great work you are doing. As for the lady you are helping see if you can get one of your female friends to go along with you to help the lady off the streets with her cat.
@@Kevcupo You need to get the fake homeless out that town. So the ones that are homeless in the town get the help. If you get a fake homeless getting into a car he or she is finished they wont be back to that town. It made me sick seeing that chap getting in a new BMW. As i have lived on the streets in the winter and it's no fun.

Kev how about asking at the YMCA on Leeds street to see if any female volunteers can help you out with Mary. Just a thought mate. Keep up the good work.
Good on ya mate for trying to help the real homeless,,, With regards to Mary and what she has said,,, you have a genuine right to be concerned,,, but looking at the size of your subscribers,,, there must be at least one or two women who would be willing and could accompany you to transport Mary to Manchester if she is still willing to go there,,, Just my thought and suggestion,,,,for you to think about,,, or even a female relation friend or work colleague who might be willing to accompany you.??? Great video by the way I like the format. so I subscribed
Sup bro don’t know if u know billy think he’s an ex boxer. Does a few videos on here also brought this problem up. Imagine the amount of fools giving them cash. Taken from the natives who really need it. It’s the very same in Dublin I can’t go into Dublin cause it puts me in bad form. My poor country is getting destroyed by people that hate us. FairPlay to ya brother 🙏🏻🇮🇪🙏🏻
It's a shame but I ignore all of them now, fact is there's a guy outside a shopping centre I go to who's been selling the Big Issue for must be 5 years now. This means he's self employed and gets all his benefits paid no questions asked. There's a whole professional begging industry now and rather than feel sorry I resent them now.
It really pisses me off when they sit next to a cash machine, just making people uncomfortable. Always offer food first if they say no to food....they arnt homeless in my eyes. Great video man, bringing these fake homeless people to everyones attention. Unfortunately these people will end up making people not want to offer help to the homeless in fear of helping a person who isnt actually homeless and doesnt necessarily deserve such kindness.
Maybe it could be possible to frame a law against pretending to be homeless? Very hard to prove but regardless there are laws against aggressive begging which are rarely enforced. The sad thing is there are genuinely homeless people living on the streets and in fields etc. There’s also an irritating set of people who have obviously travelled to Britain in order to sell the big issue. I suspect that it’s an organised crime. I think the next time I’m a bit short of cash I’ll go on the street put a sign out stating that I’m a bit short of cash could you please make a donation because panhandling seems a good idea under the circumstances. That’s what at least 50% of the begging amounts to but maybe I’m getting bigoted in my old age.
Kev honestly mate you're doing great with the food and the tents etc but I'd stop there if on your own seriously. I totally agree with the majority of comments you need to look after yourself aswell.👍
And kev with you talking about women on the streets….. there’s one I see once in while called Georgia. Always on her own. Never asking for anything.i worry about her…
The locks on the Pier Head railings are mimicking what is done in Paris. It is completely pointless and an eyesore. However, there's no way the council will do anything about it. Anyway, back to the point of your video, you need to be particularly careful. Best to throw your lot in with an organised group. Might go down to see your exhibition tomorrow. By the way, your Anfield Road stand videos were great and I've watched all of them. Best Regards, Bill (late of ......)
Women being propositions happens a lot more than decent men like you know. I've had it many times, A taxi driver once asked if I wanted to do something for him for free tpride, I'm quite assertive so I said pftt, the fare is £12.50, my skills are worth more than that. Over the years when I was much less assertive it used to bother me more. Touching happens a lot too, even at high school.
Some are just outright scammers and the successful ones can make hundreds of pounds a day if they hang around expensive hotels then return to their homes at night. If they only want money they've either got a drug or alcohol problem or they're likely a scammer. It's best to only buy food for them if you think they're genuine.
A lot of people on the streets where I'm from are actually housed in HMO's or in shelters but they gravitate towards the town everyday, in all weathers. They sit outside shops with bags or on cardboard, looking homeless and although not actively begging with boards or cups , they do get a lot of money and food given by people who feel guilty or compassionate. They then use that money to support their addiction. They also attend local charites that give them a hot meal and drinks for free every day . I volunteer in one so thats how I know . To be fair they are mostly appreciative but there are some who see it as their right and yes, beggars can be choosers. Some lovely people in that community but some absolute chancers who could pass a lie detector without breaking onto a sweat.
Think the overriding problem is the mental health and addiction problems. More needs to be invested in that area. Although it's so wrong that people are taking advantage of the situation by fake begging, it remains that there is a community that needs much more help and support than it gets. I've seen vulnerable women leaving the rooms they have been provided and choosing to live on the street, either because of who they have to share the house with and would rather be on the streets and around the community that became their family but then they are unable to break that cycle of dependency. Some homeless have had a really bad deal in life and listening to them helos me appreciate hiw they ended up on the streets and this is someone who once sat in their ivory tower and judged. I truly don't think that anyone would willingly choose to be in that situation . I believe that it's better to offer food or support grass roots charities rather than give money. Also if your able, get involved, volunteer and talk to and listen to them if you feel it's safe for you to do so and yes go in twos, preferably 1man and I woman. God bless in your endeavour to make a difference.
Kev you have a heart of gold but please stay safe be careful.and I agree about the padlocks yes take all the rusty ones off or all of them they are a eyesore take care
I’ve seen them they work in groups they each take a shop to sit outside and beg then they all meet up. They are clean and well groomed warm clothing not brand new but not well worn either. And they just want money, they make me so mad when I know that they are taking money or food from the genuine needy
Kev there kid by Iceland he was kicked out but his family i think hes 16 this kid is vulnerable not on drugs doesn't drink could you please pay him visit someone on here telling his story hes starving alone he got promised phone, tent by a charity but they let him down these charity's getting public money letting these people down needs looking into shame on them
Will someone kindly explain to me why the homeless end up in city centres ? It is actually misleading to describe all the people in this situation as “homeless” when in many many cases the problem is mental health and or addictions. These people need help but just dropping some coins into a Costa cup doesn’t go very far in helping them but it does make the donor feel better before forgetting all about it.

Hi mate. I’m glad someone is bringing the homeless crisis to light. There is a lot of people I’ve thought aren’t homeless. But it’s hard to tell at times. There’s all sorts of Romanian gangs on the street. As people have said, tarnishes the genuine and desperate
It does mate, it’s a shame really
Homeless RUclipsr here! Lol I'm female btw. If you can get her in Brydon they will also help with the transport. As a female yes, we are always getting propositioned. It's a sad fact,. Don't feel bad about helping women, anybody can see your heart is in the right place. It's not because of you, but obviously you become extremely cautious as a female. Don't take it to heart mate it's just how it is. Wrong though it may be.

Kev most of the ones with a sign saying homeless hungry god bless are a part of a gang who Operate in most of the cities/towns in the northwest I've seen them being dropped off . Yes Kev billy moore has done a vid on these type of beggers in the city of Liverpool.
It’s sad isn’t it, that it can be turned in to a business
@nuetral2374 Hello to you. Your comment: gang who operate begging. I personally believe its a sort of Criminal Capitalism ( just saying )
Anyway, Peace to all.
Don't they sell the Big Issue as it's classed as a job and they can then claim benefits to top up their 'wages?'
I love when men comment on female situations like they know Everything.
You don’t.
It’s sad but true mate
Buy a coffee or a sandwich , I never give money

Be careful mate, your good will and compassion could be used against you, some of these ppl are very vulnerable and come from difficult backgrounds..
if an allegation was made against you it is much harder for you to prove it’s false than it is for them to make the allegation.
Stay safe and well done for caring enough to help !!
You need to be careful with some of these people.... Seriousy . Seriously
No he's in his home city, he's outing fake homeless who are of romani descent there the ones who should be careful
It's the same in all popular cities, the locally housed junkies call it "work" and they are usually maxed out on benefits including PIP.
Yeah it’s something I’d never considered until now, I need to have a slight rethink
Even the organisations you need to be wary of, most are a business dressed up like a charity
Most registered charities are big business. Look at what the head of the organisation receives.
Buy some food and donate it to a food bank near the checkouts.
Lazyboy:
This homeless guy asked me for money the other day
I was about to give it to him and then I thought he's just going to use it on drugs or alcohol
And then I thought: "That's what I'm going to use it on!"
"Why am I judging this poor bastard?"
Yeah I’ll have a rethink and try a different approach
@@Kevcupo Best of luck, you're one of the good guys 👍
Polluting our skies as per!!!
I understand the danger, but if the existing "charities" were working, the streets would not be full of homeless and unwell people.
Thank you Rita, it really is

Loads of fake homeless in town mate..quite a lot go to Anfield on match days aswel..they take away from the real homeless like you said mate...must go the gallery when you're photos are up.
Cheers Colin, yes mate they’re professionals who do this
I
18th century writer William Hazlitt explained it. To be brief. You help someone and next time you see them they are rude and ungrateful to you. The reason is that being grateful is very wearing and the feeling flees quite quickly so in order to emphasize that you feel under NO obligation to your helper you are rude and obnoxious.
It’s a great saying
Predators are predators they take advantage where they can. Newly homeless persons are at a massive disadvantage without some support and guidance. It is sad that your support gets tempered due to you having to protect yourself from shall we say mischievous accusations. Keep up the good work, hopefully a solution to helping vulnerable women comes soon.
Thank you Chris, I’m working on getting some help with the female situation
That girl that cleared off with the other girl is a new addition... she asked me for money the other day... definitely not homeless.... bleached hair with no roots!! unfortunately lot of people blagging now....as a 55 year old woman with diabetes and arthritis still working for minimum wage, most of my income pays for my one bedroom flat,i don't claim any benefits...i used to give to some homeless but not anymore...i couldn't afford a new coat this winter, some of them are better dressed than me.
And that’s the shocking thing about this, I hope you’re ok
Lancashire police have year ago stated that most of the people on the streets do have social housing but are earning a good living on the streets..
Which in itself is a big problem
Newcastle council told people not to give as they know who are genuine and are helping them to access services...they arrested 5 beggars only one was genuine....
You are brilliant for what you are doing, I’m sorry Mary asked you the outrageous question. Please be careful around vulnerable women you never know what allegations or things can happen.
Yeah I’ll have to quit helping females, unless someone is willing to help
From Mary's perspective she wasn't asking an outrageous question (it may seem like that to those that don't live on the streets) to her it was a question which could potentially protect her. We shouldn't apologise for Mary asking, she has a voice.
Some women on the streets are also trying to escape abusive relationships so Mary's question was likely sadly her normality.
95% are not homeless, you definitely always know them straight away bud,👍
Exactly that
What a shithole Church Street now is, and not as a result of homelessness.
Agree, people import their cultures and their problems with them, no way is that positive diversity.
I worked at the pier head, and every so often it would turn into Beirut and stink of weed.
I'm with you on the padlock crap, it's a big part of social media attention, people do it for online attention, doubt they'd do it if not. There was a small ish bridge in France where they had to be cut off because it was too heavy for the bridge's metal work.

Yeah that’s something I’ve mentioned in the video mate
I'm a poly addict in recovery, it took me 30 years to have a psychic change. I ask myself, I ask God..."If no human being could help me, what shall I do? The night before I was relieved of my obsession, I ended up alone and pleading with God. He and He alone provided me with spiritual tools, nothing external helped, in fact, peoples help mostly hindered me. It took the effort away from me and put some poor person in my path to abuse and manipulate. That was just for me, my experience. I personally believe there IS enough services. The question now remains is it down to the seeker??
Your heart is in the right place, mate. Just donating what I can to help 👍🏻
Thank you, that is really kind of you
Big issue and others with signs are always dropped off and picked up later. One guy with a sign was outside a local shop and days later saw him outside aldi in another village. Theyre trying it on all over the place. Absolute con merchants. Give the woman some train fare to get to Manchester if shes too scared to accept a lift. Simple enough...
Yes Caroline that would be the simplest option
I've started to see regular begging at a local retail park - those places are usually out of town, and not easily accessible, so either they've got money to bus there, or they are part of a mobile 'team'.
Theres a gang culture of foreigners operating out of the big cities, personally seen scuffles with Glaswegians taking these imposters on and calling them out.Be careful doing your work, as some of these characters have back up lurking.
I have backup myself 😂
There was a guy who pretended to be homeless by begging. This country is getting betond the joke.

I remember a few years ago I gave a 10er to a guy begging on the train. What he said was so scripted. Thinking back to then I still get annoyed now that I gave him money out of the kindness of my heart.

You can tell by the look on your face that you are concerned & confused about the remark Mary made. Don't take it personally but I think you did because it took you by surprise. You are doing this from your generosity & caring mind set without any other thought, so sometimes something unexpected is said that makes you reassess how you are doing things. Thank you for your videos. Very interesting. I'm afraid I'm very cynical towards people begging. I try to have a proper conversation with any I see (there aren't many where I normally go) occasionally outside the supermarket. I always offer food but do not give money. That’s unfortunate to happen to you, it is really hard separating the fakes from the real. The fakes are ruining everything for the genuine homeless
They hang around the car park because they know people have change to pay for parking
Yeah it’s getting ridiculous
Better to help someone who doesn’t need it, that to not help someone who does, eh..
Thanks for the hard work you do. For the homeless in Liverpool. Respect

The world is mad
Kev how about asking at the YMCA on Leeds street to see if any female volunteers can help you out with Mary. Just a thought mate. Keep up the good work.
It’s something to consider Tom, I will need some female help
"the locomotive"?
The time warp?
Private dancer?
Theirs loads of old songs about Waltzes
I can't think of this song.
He can't mean dirty dancing.
Thank you for subscribing Ray I appreciate that. Yeah it would be ideal if I could find a female to go around with
The answer is do NOT give to these people,if we do we are idiots.
I agree Irene
Sup bro don’t know if u know billy think he’s an ex boxer.
Does a few videos on here also brought this problem up.
Imagine the amount of fools giving them cash.
Taken from the natives who really need it.
It’s the very same in Dublin I can’t go into Dublin cause it puts me in bad form.
My poor country is getting destroyed by people that hate us.
FairPlay to ya brother 🙏🏻🇮🇪🙏🏻
Thank you mate, do you mean Billy Moore?
@@Kevcupo that’s him kev yeah 👍
It's a shame but I ignore all of them now, fact is there's a guy outside a shopping centre I go to who's been selling the Big Issue for must be 5 years now. This means he's self employed and gets all his benefits paid no questions asked. There's a whole professional begging industry now and rather than feel sorry I resent them now.
It’s just not fair on the real homeless seeing help
It really pisses me off when they sit next to a cash machine, just making people uncomfortable. Always offer food first if they say no to food....they arnt homeless in my eyes. Great video man, bringing these fake homeless people to everyones attention. Unfortunately these people will end up making people not want to offer help to the homeless in fear of helping a person who isnt actually homeless and doesnt necessarily deserve such kindness.
Chem trial above you is more worrying?
You have to safeguard yourself and weary of allegations.
Yeah you seem to have a grasp of the problem
Genuine homeless have weathered faces.
They do
Kev honestly mate you're doing great with the food and the tents etc but I'd stop there if on your own seriously. I totally agree with the majority of comments you need to look after yourself aswell.👍
Yes Craig, I’ll carry on helping with food and warmth, and that’s all.
I agree 💯
Great job your doing I will always give food for the homeles never money
Good man John
And kev with you talking about women on the streets….. there’s one I see once in while called Georgia. Always on her own. Never asking for anything.i worry about her…
Where does she usually hang out, I could offer some help
I cant understand him his irish accent is so strong
Scouse accent hahaha
@@lizzys625 Is that what's it's called, I thought it was Gaelic 🤔
Haha 😂
In Paris the locks are considered poignant and romantic. Here they are an eyesore. 😂😂😂😂
😂😂
great example of if you dont know what your talking about dont talk..
Who? Me?
The locks on the Pier Head railings are mimicking what is done in Paris. It is completely pointless and an eyesore. However, there's no way the council will do anything about it.
Anyway, back to the point of your video, you need to be particularly careful. Best to throw your lot in with an organised group.
Might go down to see your exhibition tomorrow.
By the way, your Anfield Road stand videos were great and I've watched all of them.
Best Regards,
Bill (late of ......)
Cheers Bill and thank you for your donation, my exhibition isn’t until April mate
Some just want drug money
Women being propositions happens a lot more than decent men like you know. I've had it many times, A taxi driver once asked if I wanted to do something for him for free tpride, I'm quite assertive so I said pftt, the fare is £12.50, my skills are worth more than that. Over the years when I was much less assertive it used to bother me more. Touching happens a lot too, even at high school.
Wow that’s really worrying, I’m a taxi driver, but I’d rather have the money 😂
The trouble is drug addicted women will do these 'favours' for low amounts of money and are often taken advantage of. It's a sad situation all round.
Some are just outright scammers and the successful ones can make hundreds of pounds a day if they hang around expensive hotels then return to their homes at night.
If they only want money they've either got a drug or alcohol problem or they're likely a scammer. It's best to only buy food for them if you think they're genuine.
Exactly right Hazel
Thanks for that information, it’s sad that people take advantage of others good nature
Thank you, I’ll have a little rethink and change tactics
I’ve seen them they work in groups they each take a shop to sit outside and beg then they all meet up. They are clean and well groomed warm clothing not brand new but not well worn either. And they just want money, they make me so mad when I know that they are taking money or food from the genuine needy
And they’re making a lot of money from it
Kev there kid by Iceland he was kicked out but his family i think hes 16 this kid is vulnerable not on drugs doesn't drink could you please pay him visit someone on here telling his story hes starving alone he got promised phone, tent by a charity but they let him down these charity's getting public money letting these people down needs looking into shame on them
Where exactly is he Joyce?
I commend your efforts which look absolutely genuine i notice the trails in the sky above which wont help anyone.
Will someone kindly explain to me why the homeless end up in city centres ? It is actually misleading to describe all the people in this situation as “homeless” when in many many cases the problem is mental health and or addictions. These people need help but just dropping some coins into a Costa cup doesn’t go very far in helping them but it does make the donor feel better before forgetting all about it.
because its a city with more ppl they expect to get more money of the pubic then they would in a town or village i have helped a homeless lad who i have not seen for a long time i have bought him food hot or cold drinks he was not from Liverpool i stop and chat to him alot of ppl had time for him as he was genually homeless its the scammers that are out there like there was one lad begging i know as a fact was doing when he lived in a muti million pound 8 bed house in blundell sands crosby his parents where both muti millioneres he asked m one night for 50p i replyed go and ask your RICH PARENTS you bum he mutterd something nasty i told him to f off
he was trillion% not homeless as he would be dropped off or picked in a flash a bentley silver with a privete plate
in his parents home the top floor was his seprete enterence to the main house he had on suit bathrooms snooker/pool table arcade/ bandit machines own bar guest rooms
with on suit and all other mod cons access to a massive 20m in door heated pool spar
and that is a reason i dont give homless money
how do you tell the differents from the gen and a scammers who are sadly homeless across the world
It's called Care In The Community. It was Mrs Thatchers idea.
Hi Kev. Just a little concerning the comment from Mary.
Makes sense not to give her a lift.
Reuben’s on Albert dock, is great for breakfast.
Yeah if I get any joy with the place in Manchester, I’ll pass the problem of getting her there to the relevant agencies
If you do take her or any other girl to drop them off always take a girlfriend with you as a witness to cover yourself.
Yeah I might try and get someone onboard
In this kind of situation for safety of both parties I'd say use public transport not car ...
