All the tents and homeless of Liverpool have been moved, but where to? I have a walk around and try and find where they are.

Nice one Kev. It's because of people like Brian (Old Hall Street) Phillips and you that I have found out a lot of information about this very sad homeless situation we are having right now. I'm from over the water and am very good friends with a lady called Hayley Burgess who helps out with her husband on a large scale, van runs with sleeping bags, tents, clothes etc.. She also has a shop in Birkenhead that people donate stuff to there. I'm a musician and have donated musical equipment and clothes to her shop. Everyone needs to get educated on this matter and you, Brian and Hayley are doing just that.

Not all heroes wear capes! Well done Kev. Hopefully I will see you one day in Town. As for the suggestions on what to buy, I used to drop off toiletries/ wet wipes etc. but one of the most important was sanitary items for the the girls.

Those gentlemen who can speak & write all those different languages should be highly sort after in this day & age, it's a travesty that some big company cannot use them in their work & get them on their feet again regardless of any addiction they may have. They are smart people.

Alright Kev, glad to donate. I am regularly in town and I hope they get rid of these tents because these human beings need to be in some sort of decent accommodation. I have seen that poor lady a number of times and the other day she looked like she was about to pass away, looked terrible, I wanted to get someone out to her but no one was interested. We offered her some food but didn’t seem well enough, left it but not sure if she had it. Very upset that we had to walk away, didn’t know what else to do. They all need help but what really gets me is the people who have served in the forces, why don’t the armed forces get on 5he streets and help them? Thanks for the video Kev, it all must help to eradicate this.

I would also appreciate a bit of a dialogue with regards to getting some much needed advice from yourself. If that's ok with you, if not, I totally understand. PS it's not the jail that is the worse, it's the fines which kill you. I've just thought of something especially in winter, those self heating hand warmers and you can get feet warmers too are an absolute godsend. Went past Primark this afternoon about a quarter to 3. There wasn't a tent there but there was three men sat against the window.
Didn't see any tents at all when I walked from the Albert Dock to Central station.
There was a government committment to provide some sort of accommodation for all the UK homeless. Presumably this isn't why there isn't any tents in town.
Whitechapel now have a shelter to run again
Think you need to find the NAME of the guy/team 😊involved in the 'homeless dept' (if there IS one), get a reaction, shine a light on that guy/team, get some re-action, keep us posted, great work your doing mate.

Hi kev, just watched your latest video and it was a shock to see those poor souls and all their possessions had gone. Let's hope they are in a council shelter and that it is permanent. Hopefully what you are doing has forced the council's hand. Keep up the good work mate. ❤

Fucking hell you got migrants in 5 star hotels and this woman is knocking on heavens door. A member of family is waiting for her. I know there's someone rich out there who has a good soul.. 🙏 🏴

Was in town a few weeks back now saw a police car parked by the tents and police where talking to the homeless people.
Probably warning them of the upcoming eviction
Terrible situation with all the homeless. The Government don't care one bit! I grew up in Birmingham although now living in Worcestershire. Same situation there. A lot probably have addictions to numb out the psychological trauma of what they have experienced and the hardship of being homeless. God bless them all. That awful MP who said she would prosecute any charity who gives out sleeping bags to the homeless. Completely heartless. What these MPs need to remember is they work on behalf of the people and not the other way around! Keep up the good work 🙏😊.

Its the "government" that is housing the most vulnerable in -5° .. albeit for a week 😅.. and also no charity gives out tents, but I think that's to do with it being illegal to camp ANYWHERE in the UK, that and maybe it promotes free living instead of addressing the reason for being in that situation 🤷♂️ .. I often think camping would be so much better than constantly paying utilities
@@Kevcupo Suella Braverman. She also requested that Councils remove all sleeping bags from the homeless as it was causing an unsightly mess. I know for a fact they did this in London and disposed of sleeping bags with possessions inside. These belonged to the homeless, all they had in the world! Don't worry a message circulated on social media for her to be removed. The big issue CEO was furious and rightly so. I signed it along with hundreds of others. She was sacked.
@@Kevcupo I think the fact that Suella Braverman quoted on 4th November 2023 "we cannot allow our Streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the Streets as a lifestyle choice" got her into hot water. Rightly so as it would never be a "lifestyle choice for anyone". Completely out of touch. One of the most ignorant and cold hearted statements I have heard coming from an MP about the homeless.

Severe weather Emergency provision (SWEP) Its what alot of councils do during really cold spells, about a week at a time

I was talking to an ex veteran, served in Afghanistan..few times, homeless..he had to pay £15 per night for a bed...yet the boat people ( illegal immigrants) can come over here..get home/ hotels benefits God help us when the labour party gets in...they hate the working class people..

Its a avenue of the council, the council have a obligation too put someone in a hotel if its below 0 temperature, the homeless will be kicked out when its +1

All the council care about is looking like we don't have a homeless problem in Liverpool by moving them on so they don't have to help them and making Liverpool look great for the tourists who visit thinking it's a great city when it's not council total disgrace moving them on lad

There is no housing crisis in England - there are more than enough homes to house every English person in the country.
I bet there are plenty of council-owned empty department stores that could be used for a short while until the Spring.
It's sickening that the council indulge in hoarding empty properties, in the vain hope they will find a sucker to pay the extortionate rent and rates.

Hi kev I’m appalled at this what the council did, what right have they got to either remove or confiscate someone’s personal belongings, surely that should be classed as theft and criminal damage if they’ve caused any damage to tents, sleeping bags, blankets etc, if we were to do it to any of their property they’d have us arrested and prosecuted before we could say boo, so why is it ok for them to do it and not the public, councils seem to hide behind the law, and this govt doesn’t seem to care

When the temperature drops as low as it has lately the council will house them so nobody dies of the cold. Unfortunately they can't afford to house them permanently.

Newcastle council told people not to give anything as they know who are genuine and are helping them to access services.....they arrested 5 beggars one was genuine....

The councils are going bankrupt and one of the cut backs is not having so many bed in hostels for the homeless.newcastle said that this year 2024 not having so much emergency accommodation for the homeless .

Unfortunately this is a lifestyle choice for these people Liverpool city council and the Whitechapel centre along with a company called careline put the real homeless in hotel’s around the city centre

Me too - I walked out of the city centre (Sheffield) and was well hidden on the edge of a field out west - but you don’t earn any money if you’re hidden away like that - thankfully eventually, I got a place in a hostel for three years and then a council flat in Park Hill that I loved, (except for the ants! 🐜 IYKYK!)
All our homeless have gone tents and all have they been put in 4 star hotels oops there l go dreaming again

Why not go to a park then its scruffy to go through town and seeing this
The footfall in parks is a lot less than the city centre
They want them gone, No good for tourists
Good socks are very important, J*B socks are good they last.
They are only homeless during the day then after they’ve finished begging it’s back to their council houses.
