    Can someone explain to me why the human rights act protects migrants entering a country illegally , but doesnt protect the indigenous population . Surely if mugrants have the right to food , shelter etc so do our homeless ... This is such an injustice ..

    • @DavidSmith-qf3sm
      @DavidSmith-qf3sm Год назад

      It’s to do with the contracts that are handed out for homing of people entering our country illegally. Torries have given money to friends to do so, most likely to get a job once they ain’t an MP anymore, the same happened during Covid and the same happens with the NHS and Uk jails, all are ran into the ground for profit.
      Matt Handcocks pub land lord made millions in making PPE and he’d never done it before. It’s all about taking money from the poor and giving it to the rich. They have money to line their own pockets but never to solve social problems, as less homeless people means less people in jail and that takes money out of some multimillionaire pocket.

Now we're seeing more of it here too, I've got enormous respect for veterans and think you should be on 50k pension for life cause you made the rich f7ckers who started the war even richer as with Bush and cronies and there illegal war on Iraq. Unfortunately were now paying for his mistakes spending mill ions look ing after those we invaded and blew up for years. I'm not saying it makes it right that they come here but you can't blame the people who lost whole family and houses and everything and are now scarred for life. It's a horrible situation and j know many aren't from these regions but come here anyway but our government are too weak through the fault of past regimes to say no.

Homeless also get hotel accomodation and help. Some manage to get out of this dreadful situation, some not. Some cannot, not all, due to their addictions. They need medical treatment first but also will to give up drugs etc.

In England same scenario, secret service flooded Birkenhead with crack and heroin to begin with, you'd see news bulletins with father's threatening to shoot dealers destroying their daughters, as the cops weren't helping, as with US they were complicit in helping flood the Wirral to begin with. And to this day the city has never recovered.

    Seeing people on those drugs reminded me of a novel I read decades ago. I can't remember what it was, or who wrote it, but there was one particular character who left a profound impression, who was a hopeless alcoholic. And the author made the observation about this character that every time he raised the bottle to his lips, he was no longer drinking from it, but the bottle was drinking from him, taking just a little bit more of him every time he took a swig.
    What's the answer? I genuinely don't know; I don't even know if there IS an answer.

I consider myself far from racist but why do these young, fit, illegal immigrant males get food, accommodation, phones, etc, etc and these poor people are living like this obviously in need of medical care as well as a roof over their heads. Plus like one of the homeless ladies said it’s not right for females to live like that when they are having their period. It must be so undignified having to cope with that with no access to showers or baths. The lady at 47 is menopausal age and it’s hard enough coping with menopause problems when you have got all the creature comforts so I can’t imagine what it’s like to be homeless, coping with addiction problems and menopause. This country is a disgrace

    I'm homeless and majority of people are homeless because they dont want to pay bills although you get money off the government to pay rent etc.

    Government legalises spice (making out its a safe marijuana), people get addicted to this now legal drug, then the government ban spice, offering no support for people with addiction, only make arrests.
    Makes complete sense.

      many people are doing that, and most who say home our homeless first are the same people who voted for cameron and osborne who ten folded the homeless problem and these people were happy about it, the home our homeless first message is comming mainly from racists and using our homeless to push their agenda,

      Its too political mate, once you go public with all that stuff speakjng out against it they don't look at as helping your own first is the right thing to do. Automatically your labelled racist and an extremist, fascist all kinds. Billy is doing good and getting ahead through hard work and kind heart and being real he doesn't need everyone to turn on him. I know he doesn't do it for public opinion or brownie points but he's just pointing out the problems so people are aware but once you start standing on a soap box saying you've got the solution and the answer to our homeless problem is by withdrawing the hundreds of millions we spend helping migrants and help our own first. All that happens is you get branded the next Tommy Robinson or Enoch Powell, Billy doesn't need all that he's just trying to help his own in his own small way. I know I can't speak for Billy and he's his own person but international politics I don't think is were he's aiming you've got to be a narcissistic, arrogant f7cker like most politicians who are only in it for one thing, there own power trip and financial security.

    We can spend billions on fighting wars and we can’t spend money on helping these people. How you treat those who struggle through life, and this can happen to anyone, is a measure of our society and governments. This is so wrong.

      Liverpool has had a major drug problem since the heroin epidemic first came in the mid 80s. The one thing that stopped it from spiralling out of control the way it did in all big US cities was the free help on NHS who gave free methadone scripts and free needle exchanges in pharmacies no questions asked. The states however had a lot of unnecessary deaths through HIV cause junkies were sharing used needles many times over using bleach or water to clean, because it was the only way they could access the tools of the trade due to US govt refusing to give free help as well as charging for the synthetic opioid they could drink safely. Nowadays for one reason or another the worldwide problem with homelessness is highlighting the same old drug problems. That were hidden in the past through unlimited availability of council housing but now with the tens of thousands of new immigrants coming every month there isn't enough cheap housing to go around as our population swells so the supply and demand along with rising property values just forces the poorest members of society onto the streets. Rent on 2 bed houses that were £350-400month 5 yrs ago are now 600 + so it's more beneficial for the lical council to pay for an immigrant family of 4 to live in that house than it is a 40yr old adult with substance abuse problems fresh out of prison who goes right to the bottom of the priority ladder on the housing waiting list. I'm not being cruel to immigrants I know they have a right to a better life after being bombed for 10 yrs in Iraq because of Bush lies but they shouldn't be prioritised over our veterans or citizen in general who suddenly find themselves on the street for the first time ever at 47. Sorry about the essay just saying what most think but it's not PC too say anymore.
