I have mentioned this before but i was homeless on and off for 20 years..i have seen it all... Friday and Saturday had earn over £100....mon/frri. 60 per day ap...my time in Liverpool .The city people were amazing,...i now live in Plymouth,i spent 3 years in salvation army, 6 years on the street...i have travelled all overthe uk but Liverpool was and still is my home,,, homeless people on our streets in 2023. Its outrageous..The city council should be working with the police too arrest these none homeless..moving them on doest solve thei issue,,i have been arrested for begging even so i was genuine... homeless people need iD cards
Best place to beg in my town is outside mcdonalds they literally fight for that spot. What gets me is literally just round the corner is a black door and they all go back inside once they have enough money to buy drugs or alcohol. The issue for me is people giving them money please stop giving them money ask if they need something but never money. You are not doing a good deed as you think you are as 90+% gets spent on drugs or alcohol making our towns go even more downhill.
The city cctv cameras must be able to spot and track down these vehicles on a morning dropping off the fake beggar’s surely ?? If it’s legit 100 % happening then it’s disgraceful

I was waiting for the wife outside M&S ‘you know how long that can take’ standing next to a fake beggar, so I decided to see what people were giving him, he had a cap and he took out the silver and notes and just left a few coppers on show, timed him for 20 minutes and he got £30; not bad, £90 an hour; might look into that as a new career, no tax or NI plus benefits.

The public do know whats happening in our city... Thats why we the liverpool people will be at the town hall on December 14th at 4.30pm to demand council open up our empty buildings this winter for the homeless. Kicking myself now watching this, we were in town yesterday and I gave that Santa with the dogs a few quid, but there was (in hindsight) a younger suspect looking foreign character stood directly behind him and over him watching him and as we walked away I thought I'd been mugged for it, feel a proper nobhead now, it won't happen again. :(

One of the main things I've heard from English homeless people is just stop for 5 mins and have a chat so they feel a part of humanity god bless all the homeless community

Been homeless, I remember one day yrs ago, was on the streets, and I came across a man who had a home had a job and etc was begging so I went mad and said to people he’s not homeless he’s man with house and job, he soon fucked off but my point is that has an affect on how genuine homeless get treated and it makes surviving twice as hard. I have worked voluntary for the nuns in seel street . The building is not wheel chair friendly . The nuns are great it’s first come first served and a good attitude helps and no drugs not even the so called nice drug weed

Worked in Lord street years ago and there was a fella used to get dropped off in designer gear,go into Maccies and come out in dirty holey clothes,he never asked us for money because he knew we seen him .He was a scouser as well .
In my city I witnessed the "beggars" having a team meeting. A guy stood in the middle of them instructing them where he wanted them sitting for that day to max money take. I never give after seeing that. They are not beggars they are gangs.

Worked in Lord street years ago and there was a fella used to get dropped off in designer gear,go into Maccies and come out in dirty holey clothes,he never asked us for money because he knew we seen him .He was a scouser as well .
In my city I witnessed the "beggars" having a team meeting. A guy stood in the middle of them instructing them where he wanted them sitting for that day to max money take. I never give after seeing that. They are not beggars they are gangs.
Speak to them before you give money over,look after our own first especially lads like Eddie
