A joint relationship with all the local organisations involved sounds a good way forward. Sometimes purchasing a bus that would provide a drop in service, welcoming so as to start to develop trust and thereby supporting people until they are ready to take responsibility and benefit from further help ,It would be good to get people together who have the necessary skills, dedication, to start and maintain such a project.

Why anyone would down or disrespect a person doing some good is unbelievable. No matter what anyone says in a negative manner ignore them you know you're making a difference and so do the majority of your subscribers. I am a relatively new subscriber. I have been watching you since New Year. I enjoy your helping the homeless vids, your walking around town vids, good to go bag vids, taxi chat and the haunted graveyard was brilliant. Only ones I don't watch are the football ones cos I hate football haha. I too used to help the homeless in the past independently with weekly 'survival bags' that contained sanwiches, juice, water, fruit, gloves, socks and mini toiletries. Also took them in Maccies if they wanted hot food. God bless you Kev and keep up the good work x

Hey Kev, Ive only just found your channel today. I follow Billy Moore so maybe thats how its was suggested. I used to work in the city centre back way back in 1997 until 2000. and then 2002 until 2012. I was in Wade Smith, and then later on I was in the Royal Tithebarn St for many years, got the train in from the Wirral line to Moorfields.I never remember seeing anyway like this!! on an early shift going in I think I may have seen one or two maximum, the volume of rough sleeping in our city is absoutely disgusting. U can see how over the years things have gotten much worse. The sad thing is, alot of the cheap shops have closed down and luxury retailers have moved in ie John Lewis Flannels etc there is an obvious a demand for expensive goods compared to few years ago prior to Liverpool One being built. But our homeless has escalated? this devide between rich and poor has gone crazy. Its so very very sad, and I dont understand how and why our councils cant and wont help? Im so frustrated with how its against a human basic right in the UK to leave a foreigner on the street, they are housed in hotels and fed and given an allowance along with phones, clothes etc, but this human right is not permitted to our own people born in our land? I cant get this in my head! something is desperately wrong with this system. It breaks my heart, well done for what you are doing you are a very good man. All those lil things you mentioned having a shower brushing your teeth, all this does changes the persons mindset and they can hopefully one day find the power to look to get out of the trap and seek help. The cards given to the Asylum seekers are called an "Aspen card", they get these once they are granted asylum support. Why cant the homeless be entitled to some such scheme? that way they may be able to secure a room? or better still a system is created specific for homeless to pass through a geniune homless check (so no blaggers with homes to go to can slip through) and then our country can really start helping these people so then can get their lives back. Saint Jameses Park they used to be loads of homeless people with 10 right at the top. I’ve seen a few but I think they come at night time. The idea of a B&B or commune type housing is an interesting one but has all sorts of issues involved. The discipline idea, like Jordan Peterson's 12 rules of life is a great idea but will be hard in some cases to implement. I think projects like container towns are probably more feasible and manageable. They give some autonomy but a more soft touch engagement is needed. As support is given and responsibility and self development achieved it is then more likely to be progress enough to look into more permanent housing. Rehousing and 'reintegration' has to be a stepped plan with emphasis on money management, upskilling and providing the tools for sustainability that many have missed out on, and hence their demise. It is paramount that to help long term you have to first find causation and amend that before simply band aiding a problem hoping compassion is enough.

You may even be able to apply for grants or funding as you would effectively be helping to 'Cure' a problem. Your 'communal' idea could also see areas for cultivation which may suit distribution via an onsite farmers type shop. [This is also a good place to centralise aid distribution] One of the main issues facing many homeless is poor money management, institutionalisation and some non conformity to systematic processes. A commune type project is often curative in itself where often the concept of the individuals being alone in the world re engages them into a more collective mindset. After that you can approach other things like, medical help (inc Addiction) wellness (inc mental health) education, advice and a general info hub.

Its a shame that instead of all the closed up buildings, the council or whoever, cant let the homeless clean & live in one of the unused buildings for a very small rent, donated beds ets or charity shop finds,then at least they'd have a roof over there heads.
Maybe that smart, clever person who told you you are buying the rubbish stuff, is just the person you need to put their hand in their pocket & pay the difference so you can buy the stuff they think you should get. That would be nice, wouldn't it. Maybe then, you can take them a bit more serious. You are far stronger physically & mentally Kev & have the backing of 15.6k supporters. The lad that doesn't accept anything is frustrating, but you can't force anyone to take help. Why not just talk to him about anything, it doesn't have to be about their situation, having a conversation about anything but, is a way to get to know them a bit more through their personality. There are plenty of covered areas in the City centre it seems, which is a small positive for anyone to get a little piece of shelter. It's not like that in every town. That's a great idea to get everyone together to raise funds. No matter how much you could raise, it will all be put to good use. If you did manage to get somewhere to get people off the street, when you said run it Military style, I think you were thinking of what you had to go through & you seem to have turned out alright so it must me a good idea. 🤣I can't believe your mind is so active that time of day. One of the main issues facing many homeless is poor money management, institutionalisation and some non conformity to systematic processes. A commune type project is often curative in itself where often the concept of the individuals being alone in the world re engages them into a more collective mindset. After that you can approach other things like, medical help (inc Addiction) wellness (inc mental health) education, advice and a general info hub.

I know this as I have seen him whenever I go shopping at the Smithdown Road Asda. I do know that he has mental health & drug issue's.

Its a shame that instead of all the closed up buildings, the council or whoever, cant let the homeless clean & live in one of the unused buildings for a very small rent, donated beds ets or charity shop finds,then at least they'd have a roof over there heads.

Maybe that smart, clever person who told you you are buying the rubbish stuff, is just the person you need to put their hand in their pocket & pay the difference so you can buy the stuff they think you should get. That would be nice, wouldn't it. Maybe then, you can take them a bit more serious. You are far stronger physically & mentally Kev & have the backing of 15.6k supporters.
The lad that doesn't accept anything is frustrating, but you can't force anyone to take help. Why not just talk to him about anything, it doesn't have to be about their situation, having a conversation about anything but, is a way to get to know them a bit more through their personality.
There are plenty of covered areas in the City centre it seems, which is a small positive for anyone to get a little piece of shelter. It's not like that in every town.
That's a great idea to get everyone together to raise funds. No matter how much you could raise, it will all be put to good use. I always try to help when I can, devastating the homeless crisis now mate, shocking every time i stroll through town. Council need to get a grip, these are fellow scousers left to rot, not on man… loads of the jarg beggars tho the toe rags
