Really like the way you don't show the homeless person's face that's so thoughtful of you as I've watched others RUclips videos and they just walk up on the person and show there faces it's wrong, your doing it the best way I've seen, keep up the good work
I honestly believe you were a Saint in a past life and you are the most amazing selfless person I will ever come to know on this platform! You will always make a difference to the lives of those who truly appreciate you for all that you do for them!
Been doing this for years Kev. It's hard, but you can't help some people due to so much trauma they have gone or going through. Your heart is in the right place but you can't do it on your own.
I was going to suggest a trolley of some kind 👍🏻you are doing a grand job helping the homeless, but not always do they get it how hard people work to provide what they do. Always put your self and family life first, and whatever time you have spare help out on the streets. They don’t see things as we see things, there are a lot of people who have so many problems and issues they have to deal with . Not always their fault. Patience that’s what you need working with the homeless, all the best to you
HI Kev . Keep up the good work at least you are bringing smiles to the unfortunate people and its an ongoing problem everywhere until the council get help from the government this is will never change. Again thank you for sharing
Just found your channel your doing great work Kev. Seems to be a lot more homeless in Liverpool since I was a kid they used to call them tramps in those days I'm not saying that's right! It's the way it was back then things have moved on
Brother watching from Birmingham, was walking down a major shopping street and in 10 minute spotted half dozen beggars. Only 1 English. Makes me irate. Peace and love always ❤
Well done sir great heart you have I'm taking some inspiration and going to help were a can myself in Glasgow.great people like you put the system to shame council service etc
The council should be doing more for people with mental health issues and addiction problems, instead of building student accommodation on every spare bit of land, your doing a boss job but the council have to help aswell.
The least someone can do when you've asked them what they need and then said you're going to get it/them, is wait for you. It's not like they particularly have somewhere to be and even say they had an appointment with the housing or social etc then they could at least tell you and arrange a time to meet back up with you. When someone gave me my tent I waited a few hours for them to get back and wouldn't even nip in a nearby coffee place to go to the bathroom! Mind you when I had to use the bathroom passers by didn't mind keeping an eye on my things. The thing is though Kev, you absolutely need to take time out for yourself, especially when you have your own life to take care of. You're doing more than most if not all of the homeless charities actually do on the streets as it is. You're also bringing more awareness to the plight of the homeless and highlighting how the system fails vulnerable people time and time again.
HI KEV JUST AN IDEA WHEN YOU MEET THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THERE NOT THERE WHEN YOU RETURN YOU COULD GIVE THEM A SECOND PLACE WHERE YOU WOULD MEET THEM HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOUR DOING A GRAND JOB MATE
Have you thought about having a place like the park your in to hand out food etc. so if people need something they can go to you. Maybe have two pick up places in town
kev top lad just have start telling them to stay in one place while you go get the things for them otherwise your running around on wild goose chase love channel doing great work 👍 from William newbrighton
You worked hard there mate your doing everything you can honestly fair play I will make another donation to the pay pal mate if you need any help or anything mate reach out am only in Walton I met you last year when my daughter won the prize tablet from you mate the world needs more people like you and this so called government need to see and act on what is happening not just in our city but city places up and down the country fair play to you mate well done
I'm sure Kev, if you can go to arrange a visit to the Whitechapel Centre Centre for the homeless, in Langdale Street, they may give you the reason and what they do to help the homeless. They also have Outreach workers who walk the city looking for rough sleepers and offer them support and advice. It is not advisable to be offering electrical goods as these are usually sold to fund a drug habit or to supply tents, as the Council will remove them if they see them. There is no easy solution for the homeless problem in the City, like everything else, it is down to funding.
God Bless You Kev Stay Safe Out There. Gloves, Hats, Socks and Toiletries etc will Help also a Central Pick Up Place so They can Come to You and Meet with Craig or Nathan it's a bit Risky by Yourself.
Kev, you are doing the best you bloody well can, so don't apologise for having a rant. You find things out as you go along, so you will always be tweaking things. It's good to see you with Craig, with the food, which shows that you don't have to be doing things individually. Maybe you can coordinate things so that it is not such a strain on any of you. As you rightly said, you do have plenty of other things you need to do. Try not to get demoralised by any thing that doesn't go to plan, as you very well know, life is hard for most of us & so just make sure you look after yourself. If you are not good, then you won't be in good shape to help others & going with that, that includes YOU asking for help also. ( Do I sound like your mother? ) 🤣
😂😂 a little bit, but seriously thank you for that. I’m frustrated that I haven’t made some comfortable who wanted the help. But as you say, I will figure things out
Hiya Kevin, how many days do you upload after been in the city, likes of Jade might of moved on since you were talking to her, I cant believe you didn't find the lad to give the tablet too the facetime his Mam,(I don't mean this is a nasty way), I really like the architecture of Liverpool, the areas you go around, keep up the good work, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
I follow you a lot from Thailand and you say that you are going to start your donations on PayPal just to let you know we cannot use PayPal in Thailand .
So you went there, thanks for listening to my suggestion. These are long term homeless here, around the St. Nicks and Church Garden. I wanted you to show that this problem is not just in the most Touristic parts and the main shopping Streets of the City. You'll also find them, for example, out in Litherland. It's a big problem that is all over Merseyside, (as well as most other bigger towns and citys) so big, that 1 man alone, like youself, will never be able to conquer it.... and this is why, in my opinion, the public, at least those who care, must be the damnded most nuisance possible at the council offices and the homes of all Politicians of their constituency. Sorry if this is a bit scattered and difficult to read, but I get a bit mad and emotional when you constantly feature this problem without bringing long term results. I'm not angry at you Kev but at, well I suppose the whole government and the Sunak led Tories when I look at the big picture. It pains me to see the fall of the UK especially in Liverpool where so much money has been/is being spent on rebuilding, renovating, reforming all around the city. As some may know who read my comments, I live in Switzerland where this should not worry me, but It does, Big time, as i'm confronted with it the two or three times a year that I visit. I can't imagine what my state of mind would be if I lived there! PS: believe it or not, poverty is also noticeable in some of the bigger towns here in Switzerland, it's noticeable in the form of street begging. However, putting up Tents is aginst the law, which is strictly enforced. All I can say is good luck Kev and thanks for your perseverance. Steve.
I can't believe this is life for some people the UK. Is it possible to send you clothes like jackets etc that the people can use? I understand if that is not what you are looking for
Hey Kev, do people have to pay for the gallery, because if they do it could be the biggest sell out for a students exhibition ever. Might get the gallery manager come up to you and say you broke the records for visits, or takings. Best of luck. Wonder if the Echo would do a piece on it, or are they as far up the councils arse as they are FSG? Best wishes Kev.
Respect Kev,for this.I think you will find that MATTHEW 25 is a chapter in the Bible talking about hospitality & kindness shown to strangers.Worth a read to get the perspective to the figure on the bench.Well done !!👏👏👏💜
sorry the boy wanders maybe they dont believe you will come back talking to homeless we do hygene bags pkt baby wipes piar socks toothbrush and paste body spray (aldi best price) they say feel better wiped face and feet and clean socks.(sports direct tenpack socks )your a star
Always seems to be more helpers then homeless in these videos.. Take it go outdoors were not forthcoming with equipment...also that guys list of essentials, a tablet? WTF.
Its not Matthew, thats a quote form the bible ffs. The statue, if you look closer has holes in the feet, representing Jesus!! (he had nails pounded through them).
