- I met Damian tonight and his story is horrible, he’s been arrested for the crime of being homeless on the streets of Liverpool. Also I speak to Lee on camera, he’s happier now.

Damian is such an intelligent, dignified and aware gentleman. He didn’t want pity, just a little fairness and to be heard. I hope he can find away out of his dilemma and that he gets the help he deserves. To not be able to enter the city centre to get help is absolutely scandalous.

Following your videos for about a month and seeing the improvements you are making in networking and bringing awareness to the outreach groups is great work. You even seem to be happier now and excited by all the avenues available to help people you are discovering on your journey. The overall goal i would imagine is to link up all the outreach groups and make the council have to deal with the disgraceful situation they have let get completely out of control. Well done to you and all the others

Good to hear Damian’s story & see his face. Unbelievable how Liverpool Council have treated him! It’s one thing to do little to help, it’s a whole other thing to be actively making homeless people’s lives harder. Shame on them!

Haven’t watched this video yet. Found your channel a couple of weeks ago randomly. What a fantastic job people are doing. And love what you are doing to showing no matter how bad it gets there is help out there, I think it’s the same in every major city definitely the same in Leicester with the homelessness, where I’m from

Kev u have just raised awareness to me,i never thought that donated designer clothes would be passed down to the homeless, u reeled off a load of names then, and ive passed people in town thinking they are fake homeless cos they have these labelled clothes on,uve turned my head and i will think again, hope lots of people will turn up with vegetarian foods for Damien today and he gets well fed and watered,god bless its heartbreaking to watch this in the 21st century fgs,I'll say it again Kev....u are a saint for raising awareness
Thank you Carl, it’s only these groups that will find a way to get the clothes to the homeless though. A lot of scammers out there collecting clothes and selling them
All while they give houses and cash away to ethnic minorities in the name of equity. All the London boroughs are moving out tenants from social housing, and giving them the market value for their houses/flats as if they owned their homes with no mortgage. As part of this transfer of equity, they accept a house bought by the borough, as well as cash amount that adds up to the value of the social housing property in the Capital. You have to be an ethnic minority to get offered this deal. Locals in the areas are just catching on to what is happening and they are up in arms, but with a bought and paid for media, it goes no further.

The bench thing is called hostile architecture - it’s common everywhere- check out what’s happening in New York - they have just begun to use it against illegal migrants - to deter them hanging on the streets begging. They use it to deter homeless crashing on benches
I just think it’s wrong that it is purposely there to deter homeless people. If the council solved the problem, they wouldn’t need to waste money on uncomfortable benches

I would agree with the hostile architecture if it was being replaced by other help for these people who choose the streets - I say choose not because I think they are scammers but because what’s on offer is worse than they can encounter on the streets - I know what some of the supported accommodation looks like and who is offering it - they are not all good people 😢

Glad to hear that Lee is ok, as for the council they are Disgusting! Putting those things on benches and the way they have treated Damian, got angry listening to that, why are they making him an example and isolating him, bullies and inhumane and a lot of words we can’t use.

Damian said he's asbo was for 5years and was nearly up but at beginning he said he had been out of prison for three years
He may not of been in prison for long.
ASBOs don't end because you go to prison, they're still in place when you come out.

I went down to Asda today down Smithdown Road, the big Asda by the cemetery and there was an old man was asking everybody I’m homeless can you help me and it was walking round and I thought that was a bit strange asking people to help me was homeless, asking everyone he asked me and I said well try and get to Christ and tell him But he wanted money so I don’t I wouldn’t. It was quite strange. 😮
He’s likely to be a fake , they are in a house at the top end of smithdown rd. They have been getting chased out of the city centre so they will go elsewhere now, that big Asda there will be ideal ground for them.
